Alister was being careful about things today. He had several creatures out and about sneaking in the halls, under tables, against ceilings. Reconnaissance they called it in the military. Knowing the battlefield before one takes it gives one the edge on any kind of situation. After a few moments of waiting for the most recent information to be relayed back to him as one of his pixies flew in and mumbled a few choice words in his ears he smiled as he rushed to his closet pulling out box and exited into the hall with it. Carefully and quietly proceeding to the roof and up to were he knew Wanda would be. He opened the box and carefully removed the flowers inside and arranged them all so that the multitudes of red flowers were arranged as separate as they could be. His creatures had located Pietro just leaving and doing his rounds around mutant town and various other places. They weren't nearly capable of following him so they were just placed around the building as a early warning system. He was hoping that since Wanda was safely at X-Factor and in her room that he would feel safe enough doing his rounds to leave her alone for more than just a minute at a time.

Looking over the rooftop memories just flooded his brain. Swooping and flying threw the city on a carpet that Wanda made to soar them to the park. It was an exhilarating experience that he would never forget. It wasn't something he could forget anyway. It was the day that he realized his feelings for Wanda were more than just as friends or teammates. It was one of the better days they all had. No one trying to kill them, no one attacking them, they even got to talk to the press about what they were doing as X-Factor. It seemed like ages ago but wasn't even 2yrs ago.

turning his attention back to the business at hand he knocked on the door for a second then slightly cracking the door enough that he could be heard from inside but not enough to really see in he began calling in. "Hello? Wanda. Are you awake?" He was also hoping suitably dressed but he wasn't about to say that. He was certain that any way he attempted to say it his brain would mess it up and he'd end up saying it in a way that it sounded so very wrong. "Are you feeling up to a guest?" He heard from everyone else about what had happened and wasn't about to not visit her. Even though Pietro would probably drop him off the roof if he caught him in here. Making sure that the flowers remained behind him he slowly opened the door a bit more poking his head inside to take a quick peek around. He remembered being in here once before.

Reality Warping
Strangely enough, as completely opposite as Wanda and Mr. Scott Grey-Summers, grand-high-muckity-muck of the Xavier school, were in nearly every conceivable aspect, they had much the same idea about using healing powers sooth the aches and pains; it wasn’t a good idea not to learn from your mistakes, once you forget that the world can hurt you, it seems a little less real. Sitting with her feet stretched out on the couch, Wanda sipped at her tea and winced. Each drawn breath irritated her bruised stomach but the bump on her head only hurt when she touched it, which she found her fingers wanting to do, more and more, like a tongue that visits the place where a tooth went missing, just to see ‘yes, it’s gone this time too alright.’

Her fingers were lightly touching the bruise on the back of her head, and scowling at the pain, when there was a knock at her door and it opened. For a mad split-second, even shorter than that, for the time it took Pietro to blink, she wondered if the horrible man-beast had found her again, sniffed out home and followed the trail. In her imagination though, he would not simply be a brutish man with claws; he would be fiend from Hell that would rip through timbers and stone, his teeth and claws dripping with blood… and possibly steam billowed from his nose like a raging bull, her imagination supplied – most unhelpfully.

In the moment when Alister first stuck his head through the crack in the door, her eyes were wide and staring. “Oh,” she relaxed with a sigh, “it is you, Alister,” her fright replaced with a pleased smile. “Come to see that I am still whole?” She winked and moved her arms as a demonstration. “I am, though a little worn and ragged in spots,” she said as she gingerly touched her hand to her curls.

Coming into the room fully, still holding the multitude of red shaded flowers behind his back, he glanced over Wanda's appearance with a slight smirk. "Well you certainly don't look it. Still just as radiant as always." Coming a bit closer he revealed the assortment of lilies and Daisy's and various other red, pink, and vibrant colored flowers. "I seem to recall that it is customary or at least widely appropriate to bring flowers when visiting a injured individual."

It also didn't hurt that he remembered and still had several of the flowers that she had given him when he was at the school infirmary when she and Violey had visited him. That was some time ago though when Shadow X was battled. Since Wanda had fussed over him at that time and more recently when Pietro had banged him around he felt it only proper to now return the favor. Besides spending time with Wanda was always something he loved to do.

"You know. I bet Pietro has you all but locked up in here afraid you're too hurt to venture out. So how about you come out for some air. Besides the stars are shining rather brightly tonight." Ok so it was a bit melodramatic in a way but still. It was a nice night, it wasn't very far so if she was in some pain still she wouldn't be going up or down stairs, and if Pietro showed up too soon it wasn't using either of there powers so he couldn't use that on him. Besides, in her condition she'd have to basically hang on him for support and any guy worth anything would be crazy to not want an attractive girl to be close to.

Wanda
Reality Warping
As Alister emerged fully into the room, Wanda watched the kaleidoscopic impressions that swirled around the summoner. She wasn’t telepathic but like a fish that could feel any changes in the currents they swam in, Wanda could feel the ebb and flow of reality around her, brought by the new people who came into her orbit. Lights shone from Alister’s eyes and the warmth of love radiated from him. With a flourish, he brought the flowers from behind his back.

“Oh,” she beamed in delight, “they are lovely,” and lingering thoughts of the man-beast from the alley vanished like morning fog in the dawn. She took them in one hand and let Alister help her to her feet with the other.

"You know. I bet Pietro has you all but locked up in here afraid you're too hurt to venture out. So how about you come out for some air. Besides the stars are shining rather brightly tonight.”

Wanda’s lips twitched into a secret smile, “Pietro loves me.” Casually, she coiled her arm through Alister’s as they headed for the door. “I would have been broken long ago, if not for Pietro at my side; broken into a thousand pieces and lost on the winds.” She turned to the smitten young man at her side and reached up, gently holding her hand over his eyes; the shine still escaped between her fingers. “The light of love blinds you,” she lowered her hand. “It blinds Pietro too, in his own way.”

Stepping outside, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, drinking in the world around her with more than just the conventional senses. “The world, it trembles under the footsteps of giants. Do you feel it?” She said, dropping the topic of love blindness as quickly and without warning as she had picked it up.

Instead of a tarpaper roof, a feature shared by nearly every other building in Mutant Town, if not all of Brooklyn, outside Wanda’s door was a patch of grass that always seemed to be pleasant, untouched by rain or snow, a patch of grass too inviting to be real. Sitting cross-legged on the carpet of grass, she brought the bouquet of scarlet flowers to her nose. “Mmm,” she grinned and sighed contentedly. “It reminds me of...” she paused, letting the thoughts and memories come.
