Date: 20 March 2009 Time: 11:15 am Rage formed in line like the other women ready for the door of her cell to open so that she as well as the other women could go in and fall asleep in their stone hard cots. Freezing in the night and waiting for the guards to shout at them to wake up. Her cell mate, was more aggravated than usual that night. Only knowing her as Inmate #299 the two hardly spoke to one another. On that night though, the scowl on her face made things obvious that the night was not going to end well, how bad that would be was not what was expected. The hazel eyed girl kept them fixated ahead of her, just as the guards instructed. Her cell mate did not oblige. She was given a chance, but spat at the floor. The guard, as it seemed, did not like that. Baton at the ready he stormed over just as the doors were opening. Shouting, “Get in your fucking cages, animals!” Rage was walking into hers right as he was passing. Grabbing her cell mates hair before she went in the Brotherhood mutant could see all he was doing to her. As she was unfortunate to land in front of her cell. The guard noticed and pointed the baton at her. “Get in your fucking bed you little cunt!” Again, she did as she was told. Laying in her bed as the blows could be heard landing on the outside. Groans coming from Inmate #299. Until one blow made her stop. But he continued. Pretending that she was merely adjusting herself to be more comfortable the Rage bringer could see the immense amount of blood pooling in front of her cell. The guard noticed and she moved her head back as he stopped. He shouted off, “Open #164's cell!” The click of the door, the stomp of the boots, he spoke to her again, “Get up.” Again, she did as she was told. Fixing her eyes on his torso, the only body part that was level to her eyesight. He put the edge of the baton to her neck. “What did you see little mouse?” From the sides of her eyes, she saw. The blood, the motionless inmate, oh Rage did see. “Nothing, sir.” With more anger in her voice he pushed her against the wall and held the baton across her neck applying pressure, “What. Did. You. See. Mouse?” She strained to breath, but managed to say, “What do you mean, sir?” He paused, keeping the pressure for a moment longer he suddenly laughed. After another moment of laughing, he released the pressure and the hazel eyed girl choked for air. Stomping his feet away from her cell he shouted for someone to 'clean the fucking mess'. The Rage Bringer's cell locked shut, and shortly after the lights went out. She pretended not to notice as she was washing the blood from her cell mate that was on the baton from her neck. The limp form being dragged away, the mop sloshing back and forth, seeping up the blood. Rage had a hard time sleeping with the noise of the clean up crew next door and in front of her cell. Eventually they stopped, and she had managed to drift to sleep. Her slumber was abruptly disturbed as the guards shouted throughout the cell block. Rage got out of bed and stood waiting for the doors to open. Once they did they stepped out. Noticing that her cell mate did not walk out, she decided to see something. Pretending to slip and gripping onto the handrail she managed to see the inside of Inmate #299's cell. Empty, and clean. Perfectly clean. The guards shouted in her direction. “Graceful 164!” And another shouted, “Good fucking job, mutie!” And another, “You can be the Cage's next god damned prima fucking ballerina!” Rage fixed herself upright and walked out with the line, at the end waiting for her was the guard from last night. He stopped her from moving forward with the baton from last night, perfectly cleaned. The disinfectant could still be smelled on it. The men and women in the yard who were already out saw that she specifically was being held up. “Good morning Inmate #164... sleep well?” The sneering sound in his tone meant the wrong answer would equal solitary, or a bash to the head or gut. “Yes sir.” The guard chuckled and let her by. The pressure he put on her neck last night was already apparent. The bruise more apparent in contrast to her jail attire. Rage made her way through the grounds and sat at a table. She knew the fate of her cell mate. And while she didn't mourn her death, she was angry for what had happened. A fellow mutant, a CAGED mutant had been murdered. It was easy to figure it out. How her body moved as they picked her up, how she was completely motionless, and the clean up. After she sat down she sighed and blinked slowly. The minimal amount of sleep from the night before was not so apparent until she had gotten to sit down and be away from the smell of blood and pine-sol. Rage didn't even know her cell mates' name. It was only Inmate #299. |

Lying in her bed, in the middle of the night, Maria felt restless. Her animal instincts that remained, even with her null cuff, were driving her crazy. Someone was being brutally abused, and it was all she could think about. She could even hear the groaning, and the blows being thrown at her. But, finally, they ended, with one loud smash at her. Her body's production of perspiration slowed, and she began to be able to relax, despite someone on her section of cells, the women's, being dead. Her worry that it may have been a friend did not set in until the early morning. As she was released from her cell to wander about the grounds, Maria quickly burst from her small room, hoping to see her few friends that she had managed to make. First, she saw a Polish woman she had had fun making fun of the lunch staff, sitting with her band of feminists. A feeling of relaxation soothed her slightly, and almost immediately noticed another Latina who she had spoken to several times. Lastly, she thought about the woman she was forced to fight, and had also been going to therapy with. After seeing people carry a body bag out of the woman's cell, Maria's heart stopped. Tina was dead -- or so she thought. Holding back tears, Maria wandered over to the tables, and sat down at the nearest one. After burying her head into her arms, she gave herself a small pep talk, to get through her misery. "She was weak. She was gonna go, anyways. Screw Tina, nobody needed her no how." Feeling... a little bit better, she raised her head from her arms, with her eyes watering, her hair even more a mess than she thought possible, and with a dreary expression. Only to see Tina sitting directly in front of her. "Ti!" Maria jumped, and stared at her, smiling. "Jeez, I... I thought you were dead or something." |

As the Rage bringer sat at the table something black had caught her eye. Looking over and seeing it was a body bag she simple stared at it and the men taking the bag away. Being so focused on the bag being hauled away she didn't notice someone sitting behind her until the voice spoke. It sounded like Maria. Looking behind her she saw it was. She looked like she was a wreck and talking to herself. The hazel eyed girl listened. Raising an eyebrow when she realized the Latina was talking about her. Saying how she was going to go anyways and nobody needed her. Busted. Maria looked up with watered eyes. And when they saw each other she was ecstatic. Tina kept her brow raised. It seemed the body being carried off was a part of a misidentification and the girl was the other part. Such a though had upset Maria. Wondering if the Latina had a multiple personality she replied, "No. Not quite weak enough to let this place kill me." Even though in her opinion it didn't take being weak or strong in order to be killed in the CAGE. It just took one pissed off guard and the wrong moment. In normal situations Rage would have just told her what she had seen. It was a typical conversation on the grounds, 'Such and so stab this guy. A guard made the one guy brain damaged. I haven't seen this and that in a while. Why does it smell weird here?' Normal occurrences, but there was a difference. Not too many of the inmates actual would be unfortunate to witness it. It was usually a guided rumor. Most likely true but unable to have witnesses. Or maybe the real witnesses just wouldn't talk about it. If there was such others. Rage would later on talk to the female senior Sayan member. There would be nothing any of the Sayan's could do against the guards. But she had her protectors while in the CAGE. No she wasn't strong by any means. And last night and this morning was probably a small taste of what was coming. The Rage Bringer was ready for it. Tina wanted to find out what she knew from last night. "So what do you know about...?" Out of the corner of her eye she saw one of the guards approach the two. Quickly closing her mouth she sat in silence and hoped Maria would do the same. He merely walked past the two women, sneering at Rage as he did. She felt that he was checking on her to make sure she didn't talk. She glared at him as he walked off. After he was gone Tina turned to Maria, "How did you sleep last night?" Damn the guards and what they wanted. The Rage Bringer would envelope them in wrath if she had the chance. Even if the mutants weren't already volatile she would turn them against the guards, if she had her power. But she didn't and the breakout was an unknown time away from where they were at now. She would get her chance, and when that would happen Rage would hope she could sink her power and turn it against the guard who viciously beat her cell mate to death. |

Maria, suddenly the biggest ball of joy you ever did meet, had completely forgotten her 'pep talk' in which she had denied Tina's usefulness, and claims that she was weak, worthless, and that she would soon die anyways. Tina, on the other hand, hadn't. In what seemed to be a bitter tone, Rage responded by saying that she wasn't quite weak enough to be dead yet. Feral smiled, and still hadn't remembered that she had just been dissing her. "Man, I knew you wouldn't have died. You're too damned tough to go out like that, y'know?" A lone smile remained on the Latina's face, while the Rage Bringer was solemn, as if she had recently had a tough night. The younger of the two women paused for a moment, and thought about the body bag being carried from her cell. There was obviously a reason that she wasn't as excited as Maria was: her cell mate was murdered in the late hours of the night. She was the one driving her instincts bonkers all night, and her death was the reason that she felt like she was on menopause with the night flashes. It wasn't as if she hadn't know this already... but it suddenly struck her harder than it had before. "Oh...God, Tina. Your...299...she." Maria mumbled, and stared blankly at the table, her abnormally cheery expression gone. Shortly after, the woman proceeded to ask her about what was likely the death of her cell mate. But, as guards approached, she abruptly stopped, prompting the young woman to roll her eyes, except, this time, she surprisingly remained unpunished. More important matters were at hand. The Rage Bringer instead played off her initial thought by asking how she had slept the night before. Before she spoke, Maria turned, to make sure that nobody was within earshot. "I'll be honest -- I slept real shitty. Y'see, this big thing that makes my healing, claws, and shiny teeth go away doesn't take away the animal in me. I still got instincts, so I can kinda feel thunderstorms comin' on, and, a lot of times, I got a little bit'a empathy. "So, last night...y'know...was total hell for me. I was sweating, squirming, and I could even hear 'em hitting her. God, you don't even know what it's like to have this burden. I swear, most times, it's more of a curse than a gift. This shithole is evident'a that." Maria sighed, and rubbed her eyes, followed by a yawn shortly after. "Sorry, I'd ask you how you slept, but I think I got a good guess, huh?" |

Maria's attitude had changed. Saying that she was too tough to have died. Tina smiled. Whatever caused the outburst from before it was apparent enough now that she most likely didn't mean it. The cheerful disposition faded when Maria put two and two together. Tina waited till the guard was out of there hearing range to speak. The fellow inmate telling her that she didn't get a good nights sleep either. Specifically the why. While she spoke, Tina recalled the occurrences of last night. The guards wanted her to keep it quiet. It wasn't going to happen. Once the Latina stopped talking Rage replied. “You think that's bad... Try watching them do that to her.” She paused, still being able to clearly smell the ammonia. The mass of blood that leaked against the glass and on the floor. Even the way 299's body was positioned. The look in her eyes. One day, when they would leave the CAGE behind them, Tina would make sure that guard paid for what he did. “They spent the whole night cleaning it up.” Rage recalled the bruise on her neck when scratched behind it. “But of course... the guards were more than happy to remind me I've seen nothing.” |

Maria frowned, and thought about her own cell mate getting the shit beat out of her, right in front of her. "Chica... that's awful. Do you happen to know what her name was? Or, if anything, her codename? It's always nice to know somebody's name when they die, so that you have something to remember them by." Feral imagined her brother and sister, and how she was blamed for the both of their deaths. They may have been annoying as hell, but she loved them, and, from time to time, she thought about them, and their awful, accidental deaths, and could repeat their names, just to think about why they were in there. When the woman sitting in front of her, who didn't at all seem to be as chipper as the Latina was, mentioned that they cleaned up the body and the crime scene, Maria was pissed. "They... they cleaned it up? What the hell? They're just gonna write it off, as if it never happened?" Maria slammed her elbow onto the table. "You're sayin' that I got put in this shit hole for two murders I didn't commit (and two that I did), but they're just gonna pretend that she was never killed? And get no fucking punishment?" Maria scowled at the thought of it. The world these days. "I swear it girl, I'm gonna try to break out of this 'beautiful bracelet' here. And you know what I'm gonna do after that?" Maria turned about, to make sure that none of the guards were listening to their conversation. She then leaned in, and looked at Tina with a sinister, grimace look on her face, and whispered to her. "I'm gonna cut the faces off of each and every one of these assholes. And I have no idea what your powers are, but, if you want me to, I'll break yours off, and we can wreak all sorts of havoc on this place. Hey, maybe we can even kill that Reifenberg douche bag. Would you like that?" Maria smiled, and leaned back. Her plans weren't too logical, and it wasn't very possible at all. But boy, howdy, did it sound fun. |

“I don't know her name... only her number.” Maria went on about the injustice of the guards getting away with the murder and what she wanted to once she was free. As she did the Rage bringer smiled. Freedom. It wasn't so much as a dream for her as it was for the feral. It was reality. A small chuckle escaped her lips. “Oh Maria... I have a secret to tell you. You can't repeat this to anyone...” She leaned in slightly towards her friend and whispered, “I can't tell you the date. I'm not too sure myself. But one day. One day very soon... My leader, Magneto, is going to come here...” Leaning more to Maria, to whisper in her ear. “And we will be free.” Leaning away from her she smiled. “When he does... these guards... that doctor they will have a clear view on the 'animals' they put in this CAGE.” The Rage Bringer smiled warmly, as if she had been delivered really good news. Keeping a hold of that thought along was enough to make days like she was experiencing tolerable. “I trust you'll keep my secrete safe? It wouldn't look to good for me if that got out.” Her fate would be identical to #299's if she did. After a pause she finished quietly, “Freedom for us is no dream.” |

As Tina mentioned that she hadn't even known her name, Maria frowned, and tried to think of something else to say, to make the grief less awkward for the woman. "299... that's better than nothing." The Latina shrugged, and rubbed her eyes, reminding herself how tired she was. But, as the woman sitting in front of her began to talk about some sort of secret, Maria seemed to feel a little excitement coming on, especially with that creepy little chuckle before the woman started to talk. "Yeah, yeah, I won't tell nobody." For a second time, Maria leaned in closer, resting on both arms lying on the table, her elbow slight jabbing herself in the stomach. But, as Tina told her story, Maria felt a little awkward; the woman sounded a little bit like she was a member of a cult. 'Her leader', while he did sound like a nice guy, had one weird ass name. She even had to hold in a small snicker when she said his name. Trying not to appear as though she was mocking the woman, the feral -- wait, rewind. Magneto was her leader? This chick was a Brotherhood bitch? One of her best friends was a terrorist? "Well that's just fucking awesome," Maria muttered, thinking about the circumstances: they were in a super- maximum security prison for people with powers. There was bound to be a few terrorists here and there. But, as the young woman thought about what she had said, that Magneto was going to set them free, Maria began to get even more excited than she had been when she saw Tina at the table. "Oh... Oh God, that really is fucking awesome." After repeating the name 'Magneto' under her breath a few times, Maria smiled happily at the woman. "Y'know, Ti, I'm glad I made a good friend like you here. Ti, can I actually call you that, or is that over the friendship line?" Given the news that she was going to be broken out, for sure, made the Latina quite nervous and excited at the same time. "D'you, like, got any idea when... y'know, it's gonna happen? I might do some stuff that would get me in solitary before that." The young woman smiled, charming as always. |

It hit her. Like a rock to the head it hit her. Pleased with her reaction the Rage Bringer gave a gleam of a smile. She rambled on about how she was glad to have made a friend like her and wondering if it would be okay to call her such and when the breakout was to happen. The hazel eyed girl thought about that for a moment. She never really had any friends before. Allies and team mates sure. Maybe Piotr would be too, she wasn’t sure. He seemed to good to be friends with the likes of her. But Maria, they had a lot in common. Been through similar things not only as women, but as women within a CAGE. “It’s fine with me if you don’t mind being friends with a terrorist… or revolutionist as some within the Brotherhood would say.” Yes, perhaps the two were friends. Whereas is if Maria needed Rage she would be there. An odd sort of friendship. Formed within the walls of a prison. Piotr, seemed like he wanted to help her down a different path. That school he had mentioned. She remembered long ago coming across a man who invaded her mind. If anything assured her decision to stay in the Brotherhood it was the CAGE. These humans walked as if they owned all the residents in it. They played with them, by pitting them against each other for their entertainment. As if they were toy, animals, beings not worthy to suck in the same air. No, they were the unworthy ones. Mutants were beings with prodigious power that humans could never comprehend with. Or handle for that matter. “Yes Maria… I believe we are friends. My first, real friend. I think.” Piotr was nice. But she was positive he had the wrong impression of her. Maybe there was others. But Tina couldn’t see who that would have been. “I’m not sure when, but you’ll know when it happens… Everyone will. We will make sure that everyone gets free. I won’t let you rot in solitary, you have my promise.” She kept her voice low, but assuring. “I’m hoping soon though. I want to go home.” It felt a little strange to call Murder World her home. Strange but right. And fitting. |

Tina's creepiness seemed to up the ante, with a toothy grin that only a female terrorist could make scary. At this point, Maria was happy to be friends with a gal like her, and was even happier that the woman was okay with her nickname. As a teenager, it is physically impossible to call someone by their full name, and, why waste the time to say 'nuh', when she could just as easily say 'tee'. "Oh, okay, good. And I don't really care at all. I killed my mama. I'm just as much a slime ball as anybody else here," the woman looked down at the table, and felt a surge of being disappointed in herself. A moment later, she looked up. "Oh, uh, no offense." As Tina continued to talk about this great jail break, the feral woman thought more and more about how lucky she was to end up in the one maximum security prison that would be broken into by one of the greatest, most famous, and most dastardly mutants she had ever heard of, other than Kim Parker. "So, the Brotherhood, eh? What's that like? I doubt you ever heard of us, 'cause we lurk under the sewers of Mutant Town, but I'm a Morlock (Our founders were HG Wells fans). We're mainly physical mutants, but we're the family that we ain't never had to each other, besides my bitch sister." Maria was, of sort, rambling. Tina's mention that she didn't know when the time would come worried the woman a little. How did she know that her leader wasn't just trying to dump her, and, possibly others there? That little weirdo, Cutter, was one of her teammates... and that didn't really help their case. Even a promise, which Maria could usually take as the best type of down payment, couldn't help soothe her thoughts. But, the woman still couldn't help but smile. "Thanks, Ti. For, well, everything. I knew I could count on you." But, in all honesty, she didn't know that she could. All she could do was wait. |

The hazel eyed girl shook her head when Maria meant no offense. Asking about the Brotherhood threw her off. Most people let their assumptions be the judge of their opinions. “The Brotherhood… It’s entertaining. I’m sure one of the other members is glad I’m not there at the moment. I, apparently, peeve him off.” She thought for a moment before continuing, “I don’t know about the Morlocks. But then again before the Brotherhood I kept to myself.” With a smile and a thanks the Latina sounded grateful enough. “Days like I wish I had my powers. To show these humans we let them win...” She was talking about the day they caught her. But in Rage's opinion, Saint and herself let them. It was the plan after all. Be captured, and processed from within. “To see the crushing look of defeat when they realize, it was all part of the plan.” The hazel eyed girl gave a slightly dreamy sigh at the thought of how they'd look. Their defeat, was forthcoming. The anticipation of when was tolerable. And easy to hold inside. Tina stretched out her limbs and gave a small yawn. She turned her head up towards the ceiling closing her eyes she imagined the it was the sun. “Someday soon...” Looking back down to Maria she asked quietly. “What are you going to do when you get out of here?” Speaking with a small smile. |

Looking at Tina with her mouth slightly gaping, Maria squinted at her, as if she misunderstood what she had said. "Woah, somebody don't like you? You're such a great chick, that's just silly. Tell me what's his name, I'll give him a piece of my mind." Had she had her powers, at that moment, when the young woman lifted her left fist, she would have extended her claws, simulating scratching the mystery asshole's head, as she slowly lowered her hand. But, as she noticed that nothing happened, she frowned, and brought it down. "Well, like I said, we keep to ourselves. In hindsight, it's a good thing you guys don't know 'bout us." She giggled for a moment, and sighed, wishing that her freedom would come sooner. "Girl, you're preaching to the choir, I can't count how many times I would'a clawed, bit, or kicked the shit out of these fools. But, that day will come." With an accomplished smile, the young woman gazed at the nearest guard, and mockingly waved at him. "I'm so damn thankful that that day will come. So, if you're in here now, how come your Brotherhood hadn't busted you outta here by now? Oh, and, what do you even do? I h'ain't ever thought about that 'til now." With a nervous breath at the end, hoping that she was useful. Hopefully, she didn't have something lame, like the power to make people do a silly dance. Something nefarious would generate a sigh of relief. The woman sitting in front of Maria yawned, making the young woman feel that she was boring her. But, after a small silence, the woman asked what she was planning to do when she got out. "Oh, God, you have no idea. First, I'm gonna sneak into someone's house, and shower, without dikes staring at me the whole time," the woman paused, and then looked back up, "Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the attention, it's just not what I look for. To be honest, I'd rather shower with the dudes... sorry, I'm rambling." The girl shook her head and continued, in a matter of fact voice, and a quaint smile. "Then, I'm gonna beat the shit out of my sister." Maria nodded, and with a satisfied sigh, asked the hazel eyed girl the same question. |

Nodding at Maria's statement about not knowing the Morlocks, she really didn't know if it was a good thing or not. After all they were all mutants, and did not deserve to hide. They are just as good as any other mutant but because of the human populace, they feared them. Sewers. It was a travesty to let her kin stay in such contaminated areas. But Tina could understand wanting to be left alone. The feral Latina asked what was taking the Brotherhood so long. “There is a plan. Magneto told us it would take time. That's why he asked us if we wanted the mission first. This is after all... the greatest defense any of us has ever seen. And probably will ever see.” Taking in Maria's question about her own powers the Rage Bringer smirked, “I make people angry.” To put it simply. “I can bring out the bad in people by showing how full of rage someone can be. It's driven people to homicidal tenancies.” Giving a small sigh she continued, “But it doesn't work on telepaths. I hate telepaths.” She glowered at the thought of them. And unfortunately one whom she collided with during a riot, that she had caused, was imprisoned with her. The smug bastard. Tina snapped out of her train of thought while Maria was talking about what she would do once she got out. Returning the question the hazel eyed girl replied, “It's between two options. Taking a long private shower, and sleeping in until I wake myself up. Or going into town... and flexing my powers until I pass out.” She gave Maria a sly smile. After the brief pause she continued, “Maybe I'll just do both.” |

As she seemed to for every other question she had asked thus far, Tina answered the question Maria had asked as if she were a member of a cult. Following her answer, the Latina drug out a 'Right' for a second or two, and then talked more about what the woman in front of her had said. "Interesting. Can't say I've seen too many big old security systems, but I'd imagine you guys, the Brotherhood, have one big ass security thing. I always imagined that you guys had..." she paused for a moment, and noticed how much she was rambling today. She swallowed, and purposely ignored what she had mentioned about the coming of her cult leader. At least she now knew, now, that the Brotherhood really is worse than it sounds. With a nervous stutter, Maria spoke while looking away. "Never mind." Tina then answered the feral's questions about her powers, and it wasn't as bad as she had thought it would be. Maria smiled, and held in a sigh of relief. "Oh, that's cool. Ay, when this whole 'breakout' action starts, could you give me a little juice? I've only had a berserker rage a few times, and it's pretty much my equivalent of a drug high or catnip. It's nice." Maria smiled once more, and sighed happily, thinking about the joys that would come with this breakout. "Reifenberg, you're going down." She said, with a grin. Tina responded to what she had planned on doing after going home, and noted that it was pretty similar to her own, other than wanting to kill her sister, wanting to sneak into someone's house, and, replacing that with playing around with her powers. "Yeah, I'd do both. 'Cause it would suck walking around all smelly and all that, and damn, I don't like not being able to heal, and I liked not getting a weird look for not shaving. Plus I could lick myself when I didn't feel up to showering." Staring blankly at the table, Maria felt a little overwhelmed. She was excited, scared, and creeped out more than she ever had been. What a morning. |

Maria with held her question about the Brotherhood's security. And the Rage Bringer didn't want to push the matter any further. As she talked about her powers and how she would use them she replied, “I will juice you up. Although... I'm worried as to how some of the others react to fueled rage.” As she spoke she saw a guard closing in. With an annoyed, and rather pissed off covering his face. “Maria, I'd like to continue this conversation, but it looks like we may be interrupted.” The guard stood over the hazel eyed girl. “Get up.” His gruff, deep voice pierced her ears. Very distinguishable than the other voices on the grounds. She stood. He pushed her along leading her to solitary. Feeling as though asking why she was going to solitary would have gotten her a baton to the back of the head. She remained silent.
