Date :: Sept. 10th 2009 Time :: 3:30 pm Location :: X-Factor Building Move in day! The idea of it was exciting. She loved move in day at college. It was one of the best parts. Fresh start, get to see some old friends as well as make new ones. It's the chance to see just who people are and what they are all about. But this one was a bit different. She was the only one moving in. And instead of the equal exciting playing field move in day normally brought it had Sally feeling a bit like the new kid. She had rented a U-Haul truck and loaded up her tiny apartment to move in with the team. She was a bit unsure why they came to her still. She was never big on the whole team thing. Even while at Xavier's she wasn't one of the girls who laid around dreaming of being an X-men. She wanted to a normal girl...and she got to be one. She was all set to be a bio-chemist but all of that changed. And now she was back were she started with some of the people who helped train her and some she had never met before. To be a superhero. She pulled into the front and hoped out of the truck. She was in her most comfortable jeans with an over sized football jersey on from the New York Jets. Her blond hair was pulled back into a pony tail held in place by a green scrunchy and last but not least were her ever present it seemed flip flops. She popped the back open and looked at all the boxes. She hoped some people would be around to lend a hand. Cause it would suck to move them all her self. She shrugged her shoulders and turned her force field on gliding towards the front door. She moved as if she had been on roller blades she found it was faster and easier to just skid where ever she wanted to go. She had looked around the entrance way not fully sure were to go. She placed her hands on her hips and pursed her lips and figured the best bet was to just yell and see who came to instruct or guide her in where the heck she was suppose to be. “Ummmm anyone home? New Kid on the block needs a smidge of help...” |

It was a nice day to take the dog out for a walk. It wasn't too hot out, wasn't particularly cold, and the sun was bright enough, but slightly obscured behind some cloud cover. As Madison Jeffries was not a typical man, so too was he not on a typical walk with a not-so-typical dog. The leash that held her back was a photon cord, which was necessary since Ilsa was a mechanical hound far more potent than any biological dog. Without the photon leash, there'd be little way to control her if she broke programming and tore off after a pigeon or a squirrel, which, since her artificial intelligence was based upon the neural patterns of the same type of german shepherd her chassis was made to resemble, was quite likely. He approached the building a little while after Miss Blevins had pulled up. The young woman had a truck, it seemed. Madison's mind raced, trying to think of whether or not there was enough space in the garage for a full truck. There was Summers's motorcycle, the X-Factor utility van... was there room for a truck? They'd just have to try it and find out. "Hi," Madison greeted as he approached the scene. "You must be the new girl SHIELD told us about... sorry, I don't remember your name... Madison Jeffries," he said, extending his hand for a handshake. Ilsa watched the girl warily, not quite treating her as a potential threat, but rather as someone she didn't know. The servomotors in her neck whirred quietly as her head tilted to the side, observing the young woman very carefully. |

It had been nearly a month since Pietro had up and R-U-N-N-O-F-T. Still, the whole thing sometimes weighed heavily on Guido's heart. Not that he ever thought he was super close with the guy. For that matter, Guido wondered if it was possible for anyone to get close to a guy who wore porcupine diapers. Anytime you tried to get too close you got pricked. Still, he'd been part of the family, like crazy uncle Louie or an embarrassing cousin with turrets. You just never knew when he was going to speak straight from the heart of his bottom and cause a major upset of some kind. Okay, so maybe Guido was still a little upset about that whole fiasco that went down directly before Pietro left. But only when he thought about it. Today none of that mattered. Guido was going to get out of the building for a bit and head into town. Maybe he'd catch a movie. Maybe he'd stop by Xavier's place and cruise for chicks. Who knew? Voices caught his attention, and he rounded a corner to see the familiar site of a man not in his robot suit walking his mechanical canine. It was par for the course around here. Guido didn't question what course he was on, or how he'd gotten on it in the first place. He just knew he needed a driver or he was going to get teed off. But wait, what have we here? Guido saw a vision of loveliness standing before Box and it only took a split second for the lights (and Guido) to come on. "Sally? Glad to see ya made it." Lumbering up at roughly the size of two and a half men (neither of which were Charlie Sheen), Guido grabbed her hand and shook it heartily. Inside of his meaty ham fist her hand looked like it belonged to a porcelain doll. "So you decided to be all you could be then?" |

She didn't have to wait long for people to show up after she had called out. From behind her a man walked in with a “dog”. It looked more like one of those Poo-chi toys that were huge a few Christmases back. She had a gut feeling it was slightly more advanced then that but as it tilted its head. She tilted hers to match and smiled at it. “Aren't you just the cutest little Poo-Chi ever!” She giggled a bit to herself and then took the hand the man offered to her who said his name as Madison. She smiled at him and nodded her head trying to commit the face to her memory. She was the new recruit she figured. She went through all the SHIELD screening and such but it was an old friend who had dug her up not uncle sam. “I'm Sally Blevins. I guess you could say I'm the new SHIELD agent. But was first approached by Gudio. Well more lumbered up to by him. I don't think he can ever really approach he kinda on the large side.” She smiled shyly noticing she was babbling slightly. And then the big fella came a rumbling in as if it was on cue. She smiled and gave him a little wave and she quickly had her hand engulfed inside his. And he babbled about her being all she can be. And she nodded a bit. “Yeah. Your pitch was better then the army of one commercials so I picked you guys over them. Having a whole team just seems safer then being the whole army my self.” She said with a small smirk. Attempting to keep up with Guido and his sense of humour at times could be a task. But she figured it would be a fun one to try and keep up with he was always a charming fella and brought a smile to her face. |

((He's still flesh and blood at this point, no robotic chassis for him.)) "Well, we're not really SHIELD agents, per se, but..." Madison began to explain, thinking it over as he explained it. Were they SHIELD agents? What were they, exactly? What did SHIELD consider them to be? "But we do have to... You know, now that we're under their jurisdiction, they've got to approve everything. So welcome aboard, then." Ilsa's head tilted the other way as Sally spoke to her, and her glowing blue eyes changed color. "Give her a few moments, she's just committing you to her memory banks. We'll have to get you fully registered in our system, allow you full access to the headquarters, and get you met up with the boss man." As Guido approached, Ilsa wagged her tail excitedly and hopped up on him, looking to be braced by her forelegs, attempting to take attention away from Miss Blevins. Mechanical though she may have been, she was still a dog, and a dog who enjoyed being the center of attention if she could help it. |

When Sally said that his pitch was better, Guido practically beamed. His pitch. You'd think she was telling him he was the sole reason that she joined the X-Factor or something. Guido's goofy grin threatened to split his head in two. "Speakin' of an army of one, you gotta meet Jamie." He looked around, but the only ones that seemed to be out and about right now were the three of them. And Madison. Reaching down he scooped up Ilsa and cradled her in his massive arms like a baby. She wasn't exactly like George...at least not in the cute and cuddly kind of way. But she was affectionate and holding her was at least somewhat pacifying for Guido. He missed his own dog something fierce. "So, lemme give you the grand tour," he said to her. "This is the outside," he said sweeping his hand around like a Vanna White on roids. "But wait, there's more." Nudging the door open with his foot, he tried to be a gentleman and let her past. Unfortunately his girth blocked most of the door, and Ilsa's wagging appendages stepped up the level of difficulty at least one degree. "We have movie nights, and training days, and who could forget about Bikini Thursdays?" He looked excited all of the sudden. "We better start making preparations for that one!" It was good to have another girl on board. |

She smiled at Guido's smile and watched him with the pup. He talked about someone named Jamie. She was half tempted to ask if he was from the school or not. But she figured best not to kill the big guys thunder. He was a mountain of a man but had the excitement levels of a 5 year old on Christmas. And right now it was show off the new house time. As he played with the electronic dog she turned back to Madison to answer his questions. “I know what you mean. We are playing in their sand box now so we have to build sand castles how they say.” She said it with a grin. She liked her analogy and thought it was fitting for how things were. Guido swung his arm around showing off the outside of the place. Which she figured would look better if her big old rent a truck was moved and returned so you could see out the front. “i doubt it will be that bad working for them. We all have the same goal I would think of keeping people safe. After all does it really matter who we work for long as at the end of the day the people who can't defend themselves have hope and people to look up to in their times of need?” It may have been a bit naive but hey she was young and still on a college hippie trip of the world is a bright place. And good people can make it great. Maybe she was wrong. But long as she had air in her lungs she planned to fight to make it better and help all she could. Weather it was using her bio-chem degree or fighting crime. Guido blocked the view to the next section and she let a small giggle escape her lips as her hand reached up to cover it. “Well can't see much of the house. But we get a good view of the mountain men.” She smiled at Guido as she pointed a playful finger at him. He went on about movie nights and other fun events. It really did sound like college all over again which was fine by her. She loved college. Then he got to bikini nights and she turned bright red. “Sorry buddy. I don't do bikini's. But I'll tell ya what I'll buy you one and you can take my place.” She stopped as she said it. An O crap look on her face. If Guido was still the same as he always was. Which she had a feeling he was. He might just take her up on that. And that was a scary idea. |

Madison glanced over at Guido with an eyebrow lifted. Madison wasn't the biggest expert on wooing the opposite sex, even though he was still the only member of the team who had actually been married at one point (that marriage, however, was probably better used as evidence that Madison had little to no expertise in regards to relating to women). Despite that, he was certain that Guido was going about it all wrong. But he wouldn't say anything. Hell, he probably wasn't even correct in his assessment over Guido's flirtation methods. "Well, uh... I'll go let Summers know that you're here, and then we can get you properly oriented and introduced to the team, Miss..... Blevins, right? Right. Blevins." He nodded his head sharply as he released the hold on Ilsa's collar, the bright red light vanishing instantly, leaving her free to horse around with Guido untethered. The programming she worked with still amazed Madison. She behaved so genuinely, so real, if not for her shiny metallic chassis (which was necessary to allow her her transformative features and weaponry), one would swear she actually was a real dog. Madison climbed the stairs and opened the door, making his way over to where he figured Havok would be: his office. He knocked on the door with three sharp knocks, and waited for a response. None came. "Summers?" he asked, and waited again. With a sigh, he moved on, heading up to the second floor and knocking on Summers's bedroom door. "Hey, Summers, you in there? Got a new recruit downstairs." |

He was sitting on his bed, legs in a lotus position, trying to meditate and feeling like a complete asshole doing it. This was something Havok had been working on, trying to get a handle on his left over anger. He was getting better, he really was, but it took work, it took a lot of work, and frankly, Alex hadn't never really had to work hard for most of his life. He'd always gotten by sliding into others expectations for him, even when he thought he was standing on his own two feet. This was him trying to be what he wanted to be, what he needed to be, and damn it, it took a lot of concentration on what he normally thought was a crock of metaphysical hoo hah, frankly. There was a knock on his door and he unfolded his legs quickly, not wanting to be caught in this lame ass hippie stance. "Hey, Summers, you in there? Got a new recruit downstairs." Jeffries called. Alex clapped his hand against his forehead, "Ah, is today the tenth already? Time flies when you're not having fun," he muttered. He knew the girl had been briefed on his manipulation by Apocalypse, what he looked like now, what he was suffering through, according to the dossier Hodge had sent over. It was weird to be in the loop with SHIELD like this. He wasn't sure if he liked it or not yet. But still, he took his image inducer, turning it on in case there was someone there other than X-Factor personnel. He opened the door and said, "Sorry about that, Jeffries, I was ... yeah, anyhow, sorry. The girl SHIELD sent over is here or does our cup runneth over on recruits today. Where's she at in the lobby?" They headed downstairs and he frowned, because no one was there. "You guys left her outside? Really, she can come in. It's ok." He went outside, and saw a pleasant look blond girl chatting with Guido. He hurried down the stairs and said, "Hey, sorry, I lost track of time. I'm Alex Summers. Havok, for all the media blurbs. You're Sally Blevins, right? Hodge sent over some paperwork about you. You're bringing us back up to a sort of full house, huh?" |

“Sorry buddy. I don't do bikini's. But I'll tell ya what I'll buy you one and you can take my place.” Both Guido and Ilsa seemed to think that one over for a minute. Ilsa cocked her head to the side and made a sort of whimpering sound and Guido had to agree. He looked at the mechanical pup however, and his brows lifted over his goggles like two rising crescent moons. "What is it girl? My legs? I could get a wax." Ilsa whimpered again and hung her little metal head. Her tail hung flaccidly toward the ground. Even Sally seemed to wish she never brought it up. "I'm too shy," he finally lied. It was fairly clear that he was anything but shy, and it was meant more or less in jest. In the interim of the awkwardness that ensued, Madison unleashed the poor plated pup and excused himself to go find himself a Summer's boy. Moving further out of the way, Guido held the door open with the tip of his finger and allowed Sally all the way in. "Things've been kinda crazy round here lately." He led the way a little further into the main hall. "Kinda like a soap opera. All My Mutants or somethin'..." He didn't get a chance to elaborate as Alex made his way down the stairs. "Hey, sorry, I lost track of time. I'm Alex Summers. Havok, for all the media blurbs. You're Sally Blevins, right? Hodge sent over some paperwork about you. You're bringing us back up to a sort of full house, huh?" Guido couldn't help himself. It was quite possible that he could never help himself. "Full House? That make you Bob Saget?" |

She smiled at Guido and as he threw the idea of him being shy and patted his arm. She almost believed. Almost... before she could comment on how he might want to re think the waxing Alex Summers came out the front door. She smiled at him as he greeted her. Saying he was sorry for the wait and he lost track of time. But it wasn't a big deal to her. The team had gone through a lot the past few months so she figured things were still a bit shaky. You don't recover from what these people went through over night. “No worries Mr. Summers. It happens to the best of us.” He mentioned full house which quickly cued Guido to ask about Bob Sagget. Sally let a small giggle out as he said it. She loved that show as a little kid it was one of her most watches. She cocked her head and let her smile turn to a playful grin. “That mean I have to call you uncle joey Guido? And yes I'm here to fill up your ranks some. Dunno how much of it but some of it. Just wanting to help people and this seems like the place I can do the that the best. Least I hope to. Cause I like to help people...” She clamped her hand over he mouth. She was babbling. She wasn't sure what to say so she tended to run on wanting to say the right thing. She pulled her hand from her mouth and looked at the pair. Thinking of some sort of recovery line from her momentary awkward babble. “So what exactly is my role here? None of the agents or people in suits who played 20 questions with me seemed to care or want to tell me. What I was going to be doing exactly. “ |

"Yeah, it's the tenth," Madison answered as he stepped aside to allow Summers passage. "She seems like a pretty good kid." As Summers headed downstairs, Madison followed, in a conscious effort to not just vanish from the meet and greet like he sometimes had a tendency to. He wasn't the most sociable of people by nature, and since being restored to humanity in the wake of Apocalypse, he had made more of an attempt to be less withdrawn. The "Full House" reference was lost on him, as he never really watched too much American television. As far as he knew, it was a winning hand of cards in poker, but surely it meant something else as well. At Sally's question concerning the function and purpose of X-Factor, Madison considered answering it, considered it for a few moments, but ended up deciding that it was in the best interests of Summers's command of the team to allow him to answer. He was in charge of the team, so it should be his prerogative to word how the team worked and what they did. He glanced over at how Guido and Ilsa interacted, and smiled slightly. It made him glad that she could make things a bit brighter around here, because surely, they could really use a pick-me-up every once in a while. |

"Full House? That make you Bob Saget?" Guido quipped, and Alex smiled. "I guess Jamie would qualify as the Olsen twins?" he laughed. They bantered a bit, before Sally told him that she just wanted to help people and then asked what she was supposed to do here. " Well, Sally... or do you prefer Skids? That's your code name right? I meant to go out to Xavier's and get some recon on you that wasn't governmentally distributed, but things have been, well... sorry, I've gone off topic. The question was what will you be doing? Pretty much what you told me you want to do. Helping people. " He waved a hand around to indicate the neighborhood, "Not just these people though, not any more. We're going to help them, all of them, but we're also going to help so much more. Bad things have come down, bad times are upon us as the street preachers might say, but we're going to make a difference, so people like us don't have to live here, don't have to be scared or angry. So that we can all be what we were meant to be, not what people think we are." Shrugging, Alex said, "I'm sorry, seems to be a Summers trait that we make speeches. I'm sure you remember Scotty's droning. He's my brother and I love him, but if I start picking up his worst traits, feel free to smack me in the head. Come on up, and we'll give you the grand tour. Should take about three point two minutes, then we can all loaf about until the rest of the team shows up. We don't really have a schedule or anything around here. It's not that kind of place. Most everyone comes and goes as they please, except during patrols and emergencies. Guido, care to help the young lady with her luggage? You'll be sharing a 'suite' with Violey. The rooms are separate, but for every two rooms there's a shared bathroom. We're not the Ritz here." He lead the group up into the building and said, "Well, this is the public area, lobby, our work out room, lounge is that last door, and my office is this first one. Really, I don't do much there but most people who want that sort of organized feel like thinking that I know what I am doing. The fools, the fools." |

Once Alex started rolling he was a virtual Juggernaut. Not the big dopey one, but still it was pretty hard to get him to stop talking when he put his mind to it. Guido glanced down at the luggage and then back at the van and made a little face. He had no problems whatsoever with picking up the luggage and carrying it for the lady. But something told him there was a whole lot more than a makeup case and a couple trunks of clothes in that van. "Well," he said rubbing his chin. "They do call me Strong Guy for a reason, I s'pose." He grabbed a bag with a strap and clenched it in his teeth, picked up two heavily stuffed suitcases, slinging one under each arm, and then headed out to the truck. In the truck were several large trunks, a handful of smallish furniture pieces, and an assortment of different sized boxes. Holding the suitcases under each of his big arms, he grabbed a trunk in each hand with the very tips of his fingers and hopped back out of the truck. It wasn't particularly heavy for him, but it was awfully awkward. And then he got an itch on his nose. Heading through the door carefully, he caught up with the group down the hall just in time to hear Alex finish a thought. Through gritted teeth clamped down on a canvas strap, Guido gave a rebuttal. "Alex is tha figure head. Everyone knows Lorna's tha boss." |

Sally walked with the group hearing about the job and the place. She was happy to hear she would be helping people and do what she wanted since she wasn't much of a fighter she didn't want to be on some kind of military force. She had no desire to fight a war. She just wanted to see people have hope and faith for a better tomorrow. That's what she thought the world needed right now and she wanted to give that to them. Guido showed up from behind them with most if not all of her stuff. She stifled a giggle as he brought it all in and put in his two cents. She bit her lower lip a little confused. She didn't really know everyone who she was going to be working with the name Lorna was familiar but that was about it to her. "Lorna? Who is she?" She asked curious trying to nail down who everyone was that she would be with. Was good to know your teammates and be able to know what they do so she knew who to go to with what. She turned and looked at Madison. "So I got the leader and the muscle bound hunk of the team. What do you do?" She asked the question with a curious tone. |
