“I just don't understand. Who is 'he'?” The ethereal voice rang out through the darkened church. Since her meeting with Edmund the voices from those who had died during Apocalypses' reign had quieted down. Perhaps they slowly realized that there would be no justice in vengeance and perhaps moved on. Some still stayed but those that were with her before, such as the Sergeant, were audible once more. It was just that they didn't make any sense.

Even the Sergeant. They all spoke such odd things. “He is coming.” Moonbeam sighed and responded, “Who?!” The different reactions to her reply ranged from chaotic laughter to frightful gasps. The blue tinted girl had missed a lot since the over abundance of voices overtook her head. The being that all the voices spoke of, was one of them. Each sentence came from a different voice. “He rides. Like a demon from hell. Do not look, he'll see all you've done. He burns. Everything. He rides again! He's coming. He rides. You'd do well to run yourself.”

The Dead Girl glared at the empty space around her and replied, “I am not easily intimidated.” They knew this but continued on, “He is after him. He will get him. That boy can't outrun him forever. Face the music! Haha! Yea, he'll burn like the flames from hell. You need to help him. No! Come on! She has to, she's not cold. She's as dead as he will be, of course she's cold. She has to help him. No she doesn't she helps us. Soon the boy will be us. Yeah, help him then.” Her brows lowered in concern, “Help who? The one who's coming?” Half of the voices she spoke to laughed, “No, silly girl. The one who burns and is coming is the one who you should watch out for. The rider wouldn't. Wouldn't he? Of course not. Her hands are just as dirty.”

Moonbeam snapped her head to the last voice who spoke, “Why should I watch out for this rider?” The stray voices chimed in again, “You've not met him. He comes for justice. He comes for the Cajun Rat. Or hands stained with blood. Innocent blood. Then, when on the brink of insanity he comes and takes your life away.” With the smallest of smirks the girl replied to the voices, “Sounds like something I do.” A small tone of pride was in her voice. “No! Not like you. He's different, so very different. Mind your pride, girl. Mind your tongue. I can see him burning through you. The rider will use your soul against you.”[/i] Moonbeam casted a glance a the crucifix, “Who is this that the rider seeks?”

The red hazy eyed girl listened as they continued there inane ramblings of words. “The Cajun. We don't know his name. He walks with villainy. He was good. Long time ago. It really wasn't that long. Can we put aside the particulars of his side for a moment? I suppose.” Then the Sergeant spoke, until then he participate in the chatter to keep the voices on track. Several times during their conversations, not just in the church but everywhere else they spoke, they would stray from the topic at hand. “Moonbeam... Go to New Orleans. You'll get your answers there.”

New Orleans? Staring at the crucifix the voices continued talking. A priest saw the girl and approached her form behind. “Are you alright, my child?” Moonbeam turned to face him and he gasped slightly one hand over his mouth. “I am fine. I'm going to New Orleans, apparently.” She walked past him and headed for the oak doors. After walking through the doors, she headed for Louisiana. Where answers would be revealed. Especially who or what this 'rider' was.
