I intended on starting this whole thing sooner than now, but school kind of got crazy...I think I should get it going ASAP soon...I just need some help trying to figure out how to start everything out...I have a bit of a list as to why she would want to leave:

Reasons:

¬-Does not feel like she fits in.
-Does not agree with many of the BH’s values, she is not a killer, in fact she doesn’t even like violence very much, her personality doesn’t allow her to think that way.
-Some of the memories that she absorbed from people in the past are trying to take over her own memories to the point that she is sometimes not sure which are her own and which are not, so she has hope that the X-Men might be more capable of helping her with that, as well as possibly learning to control her powers a bit better.
-She has hope for a better life if she becomes a member of the X-Men.
-I meant for this to take place before the assassinations...but now I think the assassinations could be other stepping stone for her to no longer want to be part of the faction.

Reasons Why She Joined the BH in the First Place (if anyone asks):

-They were the first to find her and since she was also relatively new to New York and area at that time she also didn’t know their reputation.
-She also thought that because they were a group of mutants she would hopefully fit in relatively well.

I am also still aware of the implications of leaving the BH now, but I'm prepared to deal with them, as is Rogue...any suggestions would be welcome...

Perhaps you can try and reach out to whoever plays Xavier, do something along the lines of Rogue hears about how he helps mutants deal with their powers and how to work with them and live happy fulfilled lives.

Furthermore.. if she doesn't wanna actively seek out Xavier, from fear the Brotherhood will catch her and things would end up badly. maybe you can have it set up that she screams telepathically for Xavier whenever she gets a chance hoping he listening or is plugged into cerbro so he could hear her and try to help her, and once she knows Xavier would accept her, she takes the risk of abandoning the Brotherhood.

Mental screaming might not be such a good idea. What with two telepaths among the brotherhood. On top of that, I think it's been mentioned in a post somewhere that Murderworld is protected against detection by cerebro.

Electronic communication might not be wise either. Hackers are known for being nosey. Taylor wouldn't go so far as to snoop on Magneto or anybody on his crazy bastard list, but he doesn't particularly know, respect, or fear Rogue. If the impulse hit him, he wouldn't really hesitate to sift through her emails, idly listen in on her phone calls, et cetera...

Just sayin.

well without really expanding on it or saying it directly it is why i put the line "When she gets the chance" As it is dangerous to try and communicate with the “enemy” at the Brotherhood Headquarters. But the Brotherhood members aren't constantly subjected to being kept at the HQ, so she could use her free time to escape into the city or a place she knows/feels is safe to try the above mentioned things far away from the prying eyes and ears of the Brotherhood with showing no link to communicating with anyone. And if anyone questions what she was doing, she could always use a myriad of excuses from clearing my head to doing laundry

She could just run away. Decide that being on her own and on the run is better than being with the Brotherhood, perhaps go to X-Factor or something since they're in the city, who could refer her or even directly take her to the school.

[size0]Say the dog and butterfly,
in the air they like to fly.
Dog and butterfly.
She knew she had to try,
and she float back down to the warm soft ground,
laughing - she don't know why,
but she had to try, she had to try.
Dog and Buttefly.

she might also talk to Pietro. I am sure his discontent with where he is and what these people are is probably the talk of the brotherhood. She could feel him out, see if he could get her in touch with the right people

(just a tidbit) In the 'talk over sandwichs' thread, Jayson gave Rogue her cell number just in case. *if she still has it*

Well, like you said...you know that leaving the BH is going to have consequences. They're most likely going to find out that Rogue is attempting to leave whether through Koen, Mystique or any other member being suspecious of her, keeping tabs on her. Perhaps she does do like Rahne said and simply run away, claming to be running an errand and attempt to disappear. Easy enough, but someone would eventually come looking for her.

As for getting in touch with the X-Men, in light of their little run in, Rogue surely absorbed more than the knowledge to use Avery's powers. It's highly possible that she knows Avery's cell number, or actually, other private numbers within the mansion. Either way if you need some help from the X-Men side, Avery's willing to help.

Getting caught up in trying to post in plot threads, kinda forgot about my catboy needing threads. (poor Mittens)

So, looking for threads for him. Mittens volunteers in Mutant Town (if there's not a restriction on that since the assassinations). Most of his time is spent at the mansion. Since it's winter he'll be outdoors a lot or in cat form curled up by the fireplace or by the heater.

Just needing threads. He's open for just about any thread. Wouldn't mind him speaking to others and not just students.

----

Also, Jayson probably needs a thread or two as well.

“Greenie! Get your ass over here!” Kellan yelled across the deck of the boat as a wave crashed over the rail sending a sheet of Arctic water under their feet.

The greenhorn, nicknamed Greenie, held onto the side of the winchfor support as the crab boat dipped up and then back down with the waves. He had been working on the boat for about a year but they still referred to him as Greenie. The nickname had just stuck and it didn’t look like it was going anywhere. The greenhorn had already pulled his weight and proven himself. Captain Rod had taken a chance hiring the boy from out of town but he turned out to be quite an asset in last years fishing season. When the next season came around Captain Rod called the hard working Jimmy Madrox and offered him the job.

Jimmy Madrox was a clone of the James Madrox, hero extraordinaire of X-Factor. Jimmy had been in Alaska for about a year and a half earning what Jamie could call his manhood badge. Jamie wanted part of him to experience some of the harshest working environments in the world. He wanted to face the wilderness and come out battered but alive. He wanted to live the hard-man’s life so Alaska seemed like the place to do it. Jimmy grew a bushy man’s man beard and worked hard with a logging company for most of the year but during the crab season he was hard at work on the crab boat named the Southern Cross. Jimmy was the man that Jamie wished he could be.

The sky above the Southern Cross was the color of lead and the Bering Sea was white capped as the waves rose around them. Jimmy knew how to walk on a boat but the rough waters made him even more cautious. He made his way from the winch on the port to the starboard where Kellan needed help. The older man was struggling loading that crab trap, or pot, onto the starboard winch.

Kellan had hooked the orange buoy with the hook and pulled it in but the rough waves were making the job difficult. Together they wrestled the cable into the winch and began to haul up the crab pot. “Don’t worry old man, I got your back,” Jimmy said slapping his friend and shipmate on the back.

Suddenly, the winch began to grind. The cable was pulled tight already but the strain on the engine was building. The motor started making a grinding noise. “The hell?” Kellan asked.

Across the deck, two other men had turned a pot over with the crane and were unloading the catch. They were paying no mind to Jimmy and Kellan. When the starboard winch ground to a halt and the ship lurched in that direction they shot their gaze toward Jimmy and Kellan. They all braced themselves as the boat lurched again. “Snag! Snag! Hit the release!” Jimmy yelled.

Kellan ran over to the slam the release button but the cable snapped and whipped through the air. As the wire cable slapped against the deck, the tension was released and the Southern Cross rocked to the port side. Captain Rod shouted over the loudspeaker, “What the fuck fellas?”

Jimmy had fallen to the deck. His strong arms pushed him up from the cold floor but he wasn’t able to get to his feet. The Southern Cross shook at her very core. A vibrations spread through the boat. The men looked to one another and suddenly they were all airborne.

The breath was shocked from Jimmy as he hit the water. He plunged beneath the surface of the roiling water. Debris from the ship and pieces of king crab sank around him. Jimmy’s lungs burned and ached. He pumped his legs and dug with his arms to try and swim upward. He was ascending steadily until things turned even deadlier. The broken cable on the winch sank nearby. It snaked through the water and wrapped around the clone’s ankle. He yelled, only to lose even more breath to the sea. He fought against it but he was dragged further down.

Jimmy’s eyes were going dark when he felt something solid beneath him. He had stopped sinking. In fact, he was rising. The tension had been loosened around his ankle and the cable slipped free. Jimmy’s face burst through the surface of the water and he gasped for breath. The mutant clone flailed his arms and eventually grabbed hold of a few planks from the shattered lifeboat. Jimmy breathed lungful after lungful of beautiful air as he lay on the floating planks. A couple of his shipmates swam toward him. His hazy eyes didn’t notice them. He was watching the creature. It was large and covered with white hair. It probably had just saved his life.

Date:January 13
Time:3:30 pm local time

“That wasn’t the last sighting,” Jimmy told the group of mutants gathered in his small house after he finished his story. “Three other boats were attacked. Luckily no one died. The thing has been sighted off of one of the smaller islands pretty regularly now and tonight a party is going out to try and kill it.”

Jimmy was pouring some coffee from the pot into individual mugs for everyone. Despite being on crutches he was getting around really well. He was still really sore. It hurt to breathe once in a while thanks to his bruised ribs but he’d live. The hospital wanted to keep him for observation but that wasn’t going to happen. He had to get a hold of Jamie and X-Factor.

“If you think this thing saved your live, it’s a good thing you called us. It doesn’t sound like any kind of animal. Who knows, it could be a mutant,” Jamie said.

Jamie was feeling apprehensive around this dupe. He wasn’t sure why but he was intimidated. ‘Jimmy’ was a lot more muscular than Jamie. The clone was a hard worker and it showed. Jamie was sure that one of him would love to caress those big, strong arms through that thermal Henley. He also had a rugged beard. Jimmy held himself with confidence. It wasn’t machismo, it was confidence. That was what Jamie wanted. He wanted to carry himself with that kind of weight. He wanted the kind of respect that he was giving his duplicate.

Jamie Prime took the tray of coffee mugs from his duplicate and passed them to his X-Factor teammates and his SHIELD escorts. “Yeah, it was good that you called us up,” Jamie said again.

“Yeah. What kind of man would I be to let them kill an innocent creature like that?” Jimmy asked to which Jamie twitched slightly.

Vic seems to need threads too.

Perhaps they could do something related to their feral class. We could get a bunch of students into a game of some sort. Tag? Football? Manhunt? I dunno, just throwing some random ideas out there for somebody to possibly pick up and elaborate on.

Point is, Vic wants to thread too.

[Edit: I am very tired, and wasn't paying attention. This was supposed to be posted under Vic or Taylor's profile.]

I actually think that talking to Pietro might be a good idea...but simply just running away could also possibly work and she does still have Jayson's cell phone number.

She had very little in the way of patience today, Tandy did. Not only was she up in Alaska, but she happened to be with absolutely no winter clothing. It was January! How was she not equipped for Alaska?

Of course, at the last minute, she managed to find the perfect winter parka, and was currently wearing it, as well as white mittens and a white cap to boot. She was still wearing her SHIELD uniform under it all, of course, but she did not figure she would need it. It sounded like this was just a blatant misunderstanding between two parties.

One party just happened to be considered a monster, that was all.

However, it never hurt to just be prepared, and that was what Tandy was.

As she sat, listening to the story of the crab 'monster' (what if he was just a five year old child in there? Some people had no clue), she took the coffee offered, and sipped it. If it was not so bitter, she probably would have had a better time drinking it, but she was not going to complain. Not now anyways. That coffee was warm, and that was how she liked things in the cold like this; warm.

"I have a few questions, Jimmy," she asked sweetly, "If you have a chance to answer them, I mean. I don't want us to go in unequipped... and upsetting this poor soul might only do more to complicate the situation."

This man had a rather unique gift; being able to create duplicates. It seemed that James Maddrox was making the most of it too. Was that against the rules? Well, if it was, then Tandy did not know, nor did she mind all that much.

Whatever the case, she kept her sweet smile for the dupe. If they were equipped, fighting would go down to a minimum....

She hoped.

Sunfire was eating quietly in his quarters aboard the Helicarrier when a knock pounded on his door, vigorous and intrusive.

"Open," Shiro called out, and the door slid open upon vocal command. In the doorway stood a SHIELD courier, whose sole job it was to inform various agents, superhuman or otherwise, when they were required for a mission. He was also a smarmy jackass who fancied himself a comedian. Shiro often wondered how he got this job, what qualified him for work with the most sophisticated military organization on the planet.

"New orders, man, and not are you lucky," he said, that cocky grin plastered on his face making Shiro want to drive his fist through it. "Some kinds giant sea monster thing, wrecking fishing boats. You'll be heading out with some X-Factor guys to check it out."

Shiro frowned, investigation not being his strong point. "Would it not be more prudent to send me on a mission that plays to my strengths?"

"Dude," the man said with a flip of his neck that flipped his blond hair back as well, "it's like giant sea monsters and stuff. Isn't that right up your alley?"

"I beg your pardon?"

"You know, sea monsters. Godzilla and stuff. Maybe you'll be really lucky and it'll have tentacles. You people love that shit, right?"

It was then that the man's hair ignited, just for a split second, leaving him completely bald. His scalp was unharmed, but his hair was gone.
"GAAHH! My hair, dude! What the-"

"Silence," Shiro commanded, the temperature flaring slightly. "I will not tolerate such blatant disrespect for my culture! Now leave me at once, and consider yourself lucky that the only thing that burned was that obnoxiously peroxided mess atop your scalp."

The courier said no more, and clutching his hands over his head, ran from the atomic mutant's room.

Hours later, Shiro was in Alaska alongside the X-Factor representatives investigating the so-called creature. He listened to the man's story, fascinated that the clone of the Multiple Man could be so drastically different, yet still identical enough. Was the original ashamed of himself in the double's presence? How curious.

"So," he said, arms folded at his chest after the testimony was given. "You claim that the creature rescued you... But what, then, destroyed your vessel, necessitating the rescue to begin with? A different creature?"

Were they dealing with two monstrosities, one benevolent, one destructive?

Like I said back when this plot first came up... I can see Mystique protecting her own. Mysti would help Rogue out of the BH and even over to the X-men, since she would know that she would be safe there.
