JP BETWEEN BOBBY AND WARREN

The two greeted him. “Oh it's possible Warren.” Looking at Rahne in her wolf form as she spoke he was happy they didn't have course feeling towards one another for what happened last year. She told him about possible classes for the Angel to take in her section. “We all could benefit for your classes. I don't draw inside the lines... is that gonna be problematic for my grade?” He let out a small chuckle. “Ah what can I say? I'ma rebel color-er.”

Folding his arms and puffing out his chest as he spoke he wanted to pull off the bad boy rebel rouser. After a few moments he lowered his arms and said, “But seriously, I am in a veery good mood.”

Warren let his eyes roll a bit as he heard Bobby go on about his rebel ways and Warren folded his arms and looked him over.

“Rebel huh? I’ll believe it when I see it Bobby. But finger painting could be fun…I could use a new abstract art piece for the office. Or maybe an art theorpy?”

He watched as Bobby went on and more or less beat his own chest with pride for the good mood he was in but he skipped over the important part why he was happy. Warren wasn’t sure if he was skirting the issue or if he was just to excited he didn’t realize he missed letting the rest in.

“So going to tell us what has you on cloud nine?”

Bobby laughed at Warren's jabs, it was great to see him in higher spirits. After the whole seclusion bit and him being gone for as long as he was, the iced mutant thought for a moment that he may not have come back. The Iceman shook his head at the realization that he didn't mention why he was more chipper then normal.

A part of him wasn't sure if talking about Angelica in front of Rahne was smart. Then again he was pretty sure she had moved on, question is would sore feelings and awkwardness would rise and ruin the conversation.

“Ah nothing much. Had a good new years. New girlfriend and such. Life's just good.” He didn't want to brag about his new girlfriend in front of Rahne, it just felt weird. One of those things you need a guy talk for, a boys night out sorta deal.

Warren smiled and gave Bobby a firm pat on the back for congratulations as he nodded in agreement with the younger mutant.

“A good new years for all I would say, and after last year this one can’t get any worse I figure for anyone. Good to hear yours is off to a good start. And for the record my new years resolution is to avoid having my mind taken over for a whole year. So I expect you guys to hold me to it!”

He said with a small smile. Jokes were a good escape and playing the playboy who just didn’t care and laughed off the serious points of his life has suited him well for most his life and now more then ever all the hide what you feel inside and keep a good appearance lessons he had learned growing up were really paying off for him as he tried to re integrate into the real world.

Bobby laughed at Warren's resolution. “We gotta get together for a boys night out to hold ya to it. Scotty's a real party animal.” It was an obvious untrue fact, but still funny to think about.

"It really depends on the project, t' be honest. If'n it's more abstract, then maybe some outside the lines is appropriate. Also depends on how good the final project looks too. I mean, if it looks just plain awful, then the grade's goin' t' be poor," she said with a small smile.

"But I could always use an assistant teacher. I've nae been able to get anyone to agree to it yet," she shrugged her shoulders and kicked her feet slightly. "Granted, I've only asked Dani an' Kitty, but still. That's two 'no's fer answers."

A girlfriend, hmm? Rahne supposed she shouldn't have been all too surprised.
"So that's what's been bringin' ye out t' the city. Yuir gonna bring 'er back here sometime t' meet the family?"

Warren's 'new year's resolution' was amusing in its own way, for the way he said it, but due to its content and the fact that it wasn't all too long ago, it was sobering as well. The smile slowly faded from her face and she nodded her head.

"Well, I'm sure ye know just who t' see around here t' help ye get better at fightin' off the brain invaders, aye? I'm sure they'd be more than happy t' help ye with that."

[size0]Say the dog and butterfly,
in the air they like to fly.
Dog and butterfly.
She knew she had to try,
and she float back down to the warm soft ground,
laughing - she don't know why,
but she had to try, she had to try.
Dog and Buttefly.

Bobby chuckled at Rahne’s comments, “Yea, but technically she’s already met the family. It’s Angie, she’s with X-Factor now but I’ll see if I can’t bring her over to meet some of the newer faces.” She was at the school a few years back and he had to admit that when she first left he was pretty bummed out. The iced mutant tried his best to hide it but he wondered how many people really knew that Angelica leaving royally sucked for him.

True she still wasn’t as close as she was when they were being schooled, but he didn’t care. It had been too long they went without talking to each other. It was sort of the same with Kitty, she was his best bud. Most people would raise an eyebrow at a guy who would admit a girl to be their best friend. But seeing Kitty in the way he saw Angelica seemed kind of weird. The icy mutant felt so much when he was with Angie. She kept him on his toes. It just seemed to fit right.

Thinking on it he didn’t think Angelica and Rahne had ever met face to face. She knew about his KICK addiction but not the full extent that he almost killed Rahne when she confronted him. Rahne wasn’t the ‘hold a grudge’ type of gal. At least it seemed that way to Bobby. See, that was why when it came to girlfriends and such there needed to be a boys night out. It just felt odd to think and talk about Angie in front of Rahne.

Or maybe he was just thinking about it too much. After Rahne commented on helping out with brain invaders, Bobby added, “Oh me and Rodney totally would, Warren” Throwing out a wink, it was all part of the playful attitude of the Iceman, “The little kid took out a converted zombie.” There was a hint of impressed layering in his voice.

Most kids Rodney’s age would ran for cover, but not him. He’d make a great X-Men when he was older. “Careful though, I hear it hurts.” Letting out a small chuckle as he finished speaking, the iced mutant patted Warren’s back.
