March 11th
Noon
------------------

The trip had been long and tiring. The flight from Ireland to New York city had taken nearly seven hours, which seemed like forever to Liam Kilmurry even though he had slept most the flight. His father hadn't said much during the trip but that's how Miach always was. An Irishman through and through he wasn't one for spoken feelings. The move was going to be tough for them, family meant a lot to the Kilmurry clan and this distance of an ocean could be very painful.

When they landed it was mid-morning. After flashing their passports and hitting the baggage claim they rented a large SUV and headed into the city. It was only when they were several blocks from the institute that would soon be Liam's home that his father spoke.

"Be good, pay attention in school and lay low." Miach's eyes never left the road as he spoke, the slight tint of pink to his fiery red and gray hair. "I'll call ya when your mother and sister get to the states. Keep your phone on you and charged okay?" The black SUV rolled onto the pavement of the driveway to the institute, stopping before a large gate.

"Yes Da." Liam said absentmindedly, readjusting his bag over his shoulder when they came to a stop.

"Do ya want me to come in with you?" Miach asked, though his voice suggested it was just a courtesy. Liam knew his father enough to know his mother had told him to do so. Miach thought of Liam as a man now and disliked treating him like a child.

"No Da, I'll be fine. Things are safe now." Liam popped open the door and hopped onto the pavement, opening the rear passenger door to retrieve his bags, a rolling suitcase and over-sized duffel bag. As the young Irishman went to close the door he looked to his father. "Love to mum and Ana?" Miach nodded in response and held out his hand to Liam who took it firmly and gave it one solid shake.

Closing the door Liam began walking towards the gates as the SUV rolled onto the street and down the road without a honk to the horn. Liam knew it wasn't that his father didn't care, it was just his way. Adjusting the knitted green hat and deep green hooded jacket he wore Liam approached the gate.

Beyond was a building that made the Kilmurry manor seem small. The high brick walls and red roof seemed welcoming, almost like a feeling he got from home. The grounds were well kept despite winter just beginning to end. The pathway to the building was lined with skeletons of bushes that Liam couldn't help but think would be beautiful once they grew in.

Too his far right was a small speaker box which he hit, releasing a buzzing sound. There was a pause before Liam realized he had to speak. "Hello, my name is Liam Kilmurry...I'm suppose to start here." He released the button and waited a moment, but a response hadn't come. Looking out beyond the gates once more he saw a figure walking down the path towards him.

This was turning out to be quite a blissful day, the sun was shining and birds chirped in excitement and happiness. That was the first thing that Lucius noticed as he stepped outside from the front entrance in order to head over to the garage. Feeling the sun hitting right on his face and body was a most welcomed feeling since he spent most of his time at his workplace or indoors nowadays. For a few moments he allowed himself to bask in all its glory, this was without a doubt one of the most beautiful places he had ever seen. Edwards had after all always enjoyed the country side more than anything else.

Such a place was to be treasured, if only he truly could do such a thing. This was after all a mutant school and even though he was one himself he still couldn’t quite accept it. He hadn’t felt this feeling of peace in a very long time and it certainly was doing him so good. Unfortunately he had some work to do so he couldn’t revel and breathe that fresh air much longer. Deciding it was time to go he started to walk through the path that led to the garage but as he did so he noticed something peculiar. For what it seemed there was something at the front door in the distance, or at least it seemed so to him. It was after all still a bit far from where he was, for a few moments he pondered if he should just ignore it but in the end curiosity got the better of him.

Walking on the pathway surrounded with bushes bare naked, still waiting to fully sprout and grow he had to place his hand over his eyes since the sun was quite bright. Luc tried focusing and narrowing his eyes while maintaining his stride, not knowing exactly what to expect from this unexpected guest. He was simply in charge of taking care of the student’s vehicles and regular maintenance around the school so it didn’t really surprise him that he knew nothing about this. No one would certainly care about his opinion or inform him of things that weren’t his responsibility, he was after all just a newcomer himself, having to earn the respect of his peers. It certainly wouldn’t come anytime soon in his mind.

“Strange looking kid,” he said to himself as he approached the gate, with so much green on him he felt peculiarly like a leprechaun. Only a lot bigger.

Luc couldn’t be more than ten meters away from him by then, closely looking and evaluating the young man before him. The luggage beside him clearly hinted that it was probably some new student coming to the Institute but that didn’t appease Edwards one bit. He was suspicious of everyone he met so this odd looking kid wasn’t treated any differently from all the rest. Opening the gate he still hadn’t said a word for the now obviously teenager, instead going for his luggage and grabbing it.

“Follow me, kid,” he said in his thick London accent without even looking at him, already trying to close the gate again. “Who are you by the way?” Luc couldn’t help but ask, his social skills were way off par in any situation.

As the figure grew closer Liam shifted slightly on his feet uncomfortably. The man didn't seem like the school teacher type. He had unkempt hair and an unshaven face, more like the kind of guy you would run into who was leaving a pub in the early morning, the smell of whiskey on his breath. But alas the man didn't smell of liquor, and they were far from a pub.

The man came and opened the gate without saying a word and seemed to size up Liam. Perhaps all the green had been a bit much but it was Liam's idea of announcing himself. When the man told Liam to follow him he quickly took up all of his bags and followed after the man.

Once inside the gate Liam could see a few students in the distance. Some playing sports others walking about in group. A boy with large blue wings sat out against a barren tree reading a book. The two walked further up the path towards the institute silently until the man asked who Liam was. With a quick clearing of his throat Liam answered.

"My name is Liam, Liam Kilmurry." He stated proudly emphasizing his accent on his last name. "I'm supposed t' be startin' school here today." Liam added the second statement with more nervousness. Had he done something wrong? Was there some sort of procedure that he was supposed to follow but had overlooked? No, it was probably just his nerves, or the vibe this guy gave off.

Liam stayed quiet for most of the walk up the path. Mostly keeping his eyes focused on the gravel they were walking up. The closer they got to the institute the more Liam realized it was his nerves, Liam was always nervous about coming to new places it had been like that all his life.

"Who are you?" Liam asked quietly, though the question was so far after the initial meeting that it left an awkward tone in the air.

Interesting, the teenager hadn’t let Lucius take his bags for him, visibly uncomfortable with his presence. For a few moments the Brit wondered if he was really that odd looking but that only satisfied him immensely, that was exactly the type of feeling he liked people to have towards him. That way he was largely left alone, just the way he liked it even though it was hard at times not having any real friends. Except Ernest of course but he was nowhere near the school and he hadn’t spoken to him ever since the alley incident. Edwards was embarrassed and didn’t even know how to approach his former employer anymore. These thoughts were usually in his mind, worrying about the type of person he had become over the years.

As the kid answered exactly who he was Luc was astonished to see he was actually from Ireland, that accent was more than enough to assume that. At his second remark the only reaction he got from Luc was a snide smirk, he had come all the way from his country to join this school. How Mr. Summers found these kids was completely beyond his realm of comprehension and truth be told he cared very little about it. While they walked Edwards couldn’t help but see just how nervous the young man beside him really was, it bothered him slightly to see it for some reason he couldn’t quite place.

He kept his eyes staring at the ground before him, with a lack of confidence that was surprising for someone who was coming to a new place with so much green on him. Despite that Luc remained quiet and simply led Liam towards the office of Mr. Summers, he would probably like to meet the young man who was supposed to be joining them. When he suddenly heard the kid asking exactly who he was in a rather timid manner he nearly busted out laughing but managed to just give a faint smile.

“Call me Luc, I work here as a mechanic. We’re going to see the director of the school at his office, I’m sure he’ll want to meet you,” he responded as politely as he could even though it clearly seemed forced.

“So you’re Irish, I assume? Which part of Ireland?” Luc asked as he opened the door and stood there with it open for the kid to go on ahead. Being a host wasn’t exactly in his job requirements and he certainly didn’t have any skills in that department.

Walking through the halls was always a novelty for the Brit who constantly looked around, seeing all of those students doing their day to day life. Completely sheltered from all of the hate that was just behind that metal gate from which they had come from. They weren’t far from Mr. Summers office and they took very little time to reach the door, once they did Edwards knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

“Hey kid, he’s a little uptight but he’s a good man, don’t worry about it, all right?” Lucius asked rhetorically, he really didn’t care if he was worried or not but he could at least try to seem he was.

Time passed and there was no answer from the other side, a bit frazzled the Brit opened the door only to see it was empty. Mr. Summers wasn’t there. “Damn...Change of plans, kid. We’ll need to find someone else to speak with you,” Luc said scratching his head looking inside the office and wondering with whom exactly he would speak to about this.

Hank, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, didn't have a decent time to eat lunch. Monday, Wednesday, Fridays, his lunch hour was 12:30 to 1:30, which was plenty of time for his sandwich and Dr. Pepper, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he had his upper-level mathematics pupils to attend to. He had proposed ordering some sort of lunch for those brave souls who were attempting to do the equivalent of AP Calculus, but he hadn't gotten funding for a pizza twice a week, and he wasn't going to pay for it himself week after week. He liked his students, but he wasn't made out of money. They'd need at least two pizzas each Tuesday and Thursday. And its not like they could meet in the dining hall in the middle of lunch time. Too loud to do anything.

So instead, Hank had to decide if he wanted to eat too early for his normal lunch, or have a rumbling stomach until 2:45 or so. For someone like Hank, that was like Sophie's choice.

Hank was rushing back from the commissary with his turkey sub to try to get to his study to prepare for his calculus lessons. He had to barrel through the halls as soon as his introductory biology lessons were done. He was going quickly enough that he literally skidded around the corner, like he was some sort of blue-furred NASCAR let loose in the mansion.

Seeing that there were two people already standing outside Scott's office, Hank decided that he better compose himself. He stood up straight.

"Good afternoon," Hank said, in his most dignified tone.

So the guy, Luc apparently, was a mechanic here. That explained the rugged look. It fit the description of a mechanic much more than it did say a teacher. That put Liam slightly more at ease. As Luc ushered him through the door he asked what part of Ireland he was from, obviously having picked up on the accent.

"Yeah I'm Irish. From Waterford, south east part of Ireland." Liam had spent a lot of his life in Waterford City Ireland, in Waterford county. The Kilmurry clan had a manor there that had been standing for generations that his grandfather currently owned. More recently he had spent time there while he was laying low after Apocalypse. The large estate made it easy to avoid being noticed as a mutant. His father had been the one to suggest that he and Liam move back to America before Ana and his mother came out.

When Luc began describing the administrator he was taking him to see the image popped into his mind of a marine looking fellow. One who never eased up like a stick had taken permanent residence in behind. Though that was probably Liam's mind scaring itself, he did that now and again. However, he wouldn't get to find that out right then because it would appear that the teacher wasn't in at the moment. The two stood for a moment as Luc seemed to be thinking of what to do then.

Looking over Liam saw a man approaching them, or what appeared to be a man. This man's skin was tinted a shade of light blue and he seemed to be excessively hairy though he kept it well groomed. Other than the fur the man dressed well and carried himself with an air of confidence and wisdom. He greeted the two respectably and Liam nodded and held out his hand, he hadn't seen a chance with Luc so it seemed more appropriate with the formal greeting he had just received.

"Hello," Liam said, with a shy tone still in his voice but with an air of respect. "My name is Liam Kilmurry, I believe I'm to be starting school here."

From Waterford so it seemed, this green clothed teenage boy from across the Atlantic had ventured from so far away right into this place. How odd to see these kinds of things happening right before his eyes, how did Liam find out about this place? It completely eluded Lucius, perhaps if he had found about it before his parents had imparted their way of thinking on him he wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. Still it wasn’t their fault, they were bigots and racists but that was probably brought onto them by their own parents and rough environments they were from. Nothing more than a grunt was heard from the Brit as he acknowledged the place of birth from the teenager.

Regardless of that now he was in a bit of a predicament, with whom exactly would he speak if Mr. Summers wasn’t around. It wasn’t as if he knew many others, his way of doing things prevented him from doing just that. Looking sideways to Kilmurry who seemed just as confused as he was he couldn’t help but feeling helpless at this whole situation. With his left hand at his waist and his right scratching his chin in deep thought he didn’t even notice one of the oddest of the bunch approaching.

Never before had he spoken directly to Mr. McCoy, usually running the other way as he saw him every single time. Luc had heard of his great brilliance and expertise in many fields of science, said to be most likely one of the most brilliant people on earth itself. Still, he couldn’t get past his appearance, it was just weird to see the man as an intelligent creature. The moment he heard someone’s voice while thinking on what the heck he would do he turned to face the greeter. His reaction wasn’t exactly what he had hoped to be in the slightest.

The moment his eyes met the blue furred mutant before him he was visibly startled, even wincing a bit backwards with a very surprised look on his face. The image of a movie he had seen long ago flashed right before his eyes, one of his favourites in fact despite how old it actually was. ‘Predator’ with Arnold Schwarzenegger where the most memorable line in that picture film was right when the alien took off his mask and Arnold’s character simply said. “You’re one ugly motherfucker...”

Of course the British man would never say something like that especially to someone he had never met, even if his mere appearance freaked him out beyond belief. Immediately his eyes drifted to the ground in shame for his reaction to such a simple and obviously honest greeting. Coughing to clear his throat and hoping his voice wouldn’t tremble as his arms obviously were.

“Afternoon,” he replied very shortly looking into the Beast’s eyes and quickly looking away. “I was hoping to find Mr. Summers but regrettably he’s not here, I just saw Liam at the gate and thought it would be a good idea to bring him in,” he added a bit too fast, obviously nervous at Mr. McCoy’s presence.

“I have no idea what am I supposed to do in this situation, could you perhaps help him out?” Luc asked once again trying to stare in the man’s eyes but his own just wouldn’t obey his command.

She approached the men gathered in front of Scott's office, clacking heels announcing her presence before her appearance could. Things around the school were stressful to say the least. Scott's recent personality transfusion, Jean mothering and smothering her man and probably somehow working out a way to blame Emma for all that was happening in the process, had left things in a lurch. With the famous Scott Summers out of the picture the entire place seemed thrown for a loop. It was amazing how many things relied on one man to get done, and only now without the great Cyclops around did Emma see how much the man kept running smoothly around this place. Not that she was complaining too vocally though, these recent events had also afforded her the chance to take a more cemented stance in the goings on around the campus. Xavier's needed a leader, and while her stylish heels were not a match for the shoes Scott Summers filled, Emma liked to think she was capable of holding the fort down in the mean time.

She had hungered for such a chance as this, to prove how valuable she could be. It was turning into a case of be careful what you wished for though, as there seemed no end in sight to all the things that needed to be attended to. How had Scott Summers done it all?, she wondered as she rushed to greet a new student that had her schedule been running smoothly she would have met at the gate. Now she wondered how much damage control she would need to do to adjust the teen to this new place after the greeting of Lucius' personality and Hank's rather shocking when first viewed appearance.

“I have no idea what am I supposed to do in this situation, could you perhaps help him out?”

"I can take it from here, Lucius. Thank you." Emma said to the mechanic a bit winded. Her breath still in need of catching from scrambling across the campus to get to Scott's office. Why was no one ever where they should be when you planed these things out.

"You must be Liam Killmury?" she said to the new student, who had traveled quite far to arrive at a place that a month prior would have been more at ease and ready for his arrival. "I'm Emma Frost, I'm substituting in for Mr. Summers while he handles a few personal affairs." She cast the quickest look at Hank, to signal him to back her up in her fib. No one needed to know the extent of what had happened to Scott just yet, especially not someone fresh off the boat and still wet behind the ears. The teen needed to be put at ease, to be shown that Xaviers was a safe haven from the world that had probably been too harsh and too hard on the young mutant. For now the knowledge that the inmates where running the asylum was best kept amongst the staff and senior X-men only.

"The blue gentleman is our own Dr. McCoy, and you've met our mechanic Mr. Edwards as well, how lovely. I might not be the first to tell you this but welcome to Xavier's School for the Gifted. Pardon the chaos, darling it has been a hectic week. Now Liam we are thrilled to have you here, and I'm sure you'll make a wonderful addition to our assembly. Perhaps you have a few questions for either Dr McCoy or I to answer, or maybe you would like to be shown your dormitory? I'm sure it has been a long trip. You'll find that we have students from all across the globe here at Xaviers, and we are quite proud of our diversity."

She gave the Irish teen as warm a smile as could come from someone who was known for her icy demeanor. Most people only ever met the crueler harder side of Emma Frost, but around the children Emma liked to think she was better.

"How was your trip over here darling? Was it an enjoyable travel?"

Oh, they wanted to talk... But Hank had his turkey sub. Hank liked to think of himself as an honorable man, someone who did right by others, but on the other hand, he really liked his sandwiches. Now, the turkey sub in the school cafeteria wasn't anything particularly special. If this was a Friday and they had those Italian meatball subs, then this wasn't even a question. Hank would have barreled through them and into his study so he could have the sandwich. So, instead, Hank had something of a Sophie's choice here. He could either be a good teacher/administrator, or he could enjoy his sandwich.

Unfortunately for his stomach, the arrival of Emma pretty much cemented that he was going to have to be a better man and try to help out the new handyman and the student. He just really liked his sandwiches. He was hungry, and he had something to fill it with. He really just wanted to go by some Malthusian thinking, but unfortunately, he was being backed into a corner of Kantian duty.

Hank tried not to be offended by Edwards' reaction to his appearance. By this point in his life, (he was only 20 years old if you were willing to count in base-17!) he was used to an errant stare. He was used to putting on an image inducer if any of the students' parents were coming. He was used to putting it on if he was going out into the city. But in a very real way, he did not think it fair that he had to cover up now inside his own home. If there was going to be a problem, Hank was pretty sure that he had better job security than Mr. Edwards.

The new student, Liam offered Hank his hand, and Hank enveloped it with one of his massive paws, and shook. "Dr. Henry McCoy. I teach the biology classes around here, along with some upper-level advanced classes. I also am the resident physician on the grounds."

There had been an uneasiness inside Hank concerning Emma Frost, at least, ever since news about the girls became known. Of course, he was blameless in the matter, but when a dark clone of yourself steals a tissue sample and uses it to clone himself a small platoon of telepaths for his plans to take over the world, it was bound to cause a bit of tension. "Miss Frost, how do you do?" Hank said, pushing the thoughts of the matter in deep, away from the surface of his brain.

Now this was certainly shaping up to be an interesting day. First with Luc, who seemed to have a hard demeanor that made Liam uneasy and warned him he was taking him to an uptight administrator, who thankfully wasn't there. Next to come into the picture was a large, blue fur covered man. This person intrigued the young Irishmen. Though he did seem to have a beastly, yet groomed, apperance he held an air of confidence and authority.

Dr. Henry McCoy, a nice Irish surname in Liam's opinion. His handshake was monstrous, engulfing Liam's hand easily. Though as he listed the classes he taught to Liam the young Irishmen could tell that he was much more than just muscle, the blue man was rather intelligent as well. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance Dr. McCoy."

The third was a beautiful woman, clad in tall heels. She had a warm smile on her face but something in her voice gave Liam a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Emma Frost was her name, apparently substituting for who he could only assume was the 'uptight administrator'. Liam nodded with a forced smile of his own as he responded.

"Aye the trip took a little bit but I slept most the way." His words were slow and careful, a sure sign of his nerves. "From what I've seen so far I can see you all have quite the collection of students here." Now he was just babbling on. She had asked him if he had any questions but none came to his mind. At least none that he wished to speak out-loud which he wasn't sure was his nerves or the uneasy feeling Ms. Frost gave him. He looked between the three adults then to his shoes.

Then a question sparked to his mind, something to fill in the silence. "When do I start my classes? Like do i start today or do i get to settle down in my dorm room first?" Liam could use some sleep. It wasn't his narcoleptic disorder acting up as much as it was just exhaustion from coming to a new place and it seemed like he hadn't gotten any rest at all on the plane.

Liam wondered what his sister and mother. What would they think of this place? His mother had always been there when he transferred schools when he was younger so he wasn't experienced in what to ask.

Shortly after his obviously nervous reaction to Dr. McCoy’s entry to this situation, the sound of heels walking in the hall was heard. It was a most unusual sound that he didn’t quite remember hearing while walking through the mansion, with most people choosing a more casual set of shoes and clothes. It was a bit distracting to say the least, making the Brit wonder what would ensue now. When he saw who it was it all came together, apparently one of the eldest in the school, at least where he was concerned and even then not even close to the amount of time that Dr. McCoy’s had been there. He couldn’t quite remember her name since he had only seen her once or twice and with his poor social skills her name had eluded him for the time being.

Regardless, the moment she offered to take care of the situation from there however he was more than happy to oblige. “Thank you,” he said with a nod like he usually did. She appeared to be a bit out of breath, although that didn’t really matter since her posture was rather professional to say the least.

She was different from what he imagined, or at least it so seemed now although Luc was more than aware that appearances were just that, appearances. The way she spoke was very polite and she did seem a likable person but that wasn’t what he had envisioned from the few times he had seen her. Ms Frost always appeared to be the sort of a Royal Princess, pleasant to the public but not so much around many others. A snob sort of speak, Edwards was by this time just as uneasy with her as he felt with Dr. McCoy although she was for very different reasons.

At any time of the day, he would have chosen the company of the beastly scientist over the beautiful yet odd woman. The man seemed rather sincere in his welcoming of the new student although a bit uncomfortable with the way that Luc had reacted to his sudden appearance. No surprises there however, the Brit had a feeling he would be too if it happened with him. The teenager though seemed quite nervous and for the first time Edwards felt a little guilt over it. Liam was after all just trying to sort his problems out, he couldn’t be more than seventeen and the way he had treated him was far from welcoming.

In fact all of this had been unsettling for the Brit, not because it had disrupted what he thought his day would be but for how he had acted. If he had any intentions of actually settling down at the place this wouldn’t be the proper way of doing it, he had some thinking of his own to do from here on out. Luc was uncomfortable with that thought lingering in his head, it was unexpected and very few times had he gone through it. Ernest, his family or even that blond neighbour of his, what if he had been different, could have things been changed?

His eyes drifted from the boy at his right to the floor on his left as Liam’s looked at his shoes, a look of guilt in his face that was nearly impossible not to notice if anyone saw it. Lucius couldn’t take it anymore, at least not in his current mood. “Don’t worry Liam, you’ll be fine here. Don’t let my foul personality fool you, there are some good people in this place,” he said to the boy next to him putting his hand on his shoulder after he made his questions, not to answer themselves but to hopefully settle down his nerves a bit.

Looking at the woman that had joined them he nodded once more, “Ms Frost,” and then to Dr. McCoy. “I apologize if I offended you, Dr,” he said looking the man straight in the eyes for the first time.

With that he started to walk away from the party that had gathered in front of Mr. Summers office but after a few steps he looked at Liam one last time. “If you ever need something, anything at all, come by the garage, kid,” Luc said with a serious look in his eyes hoping the Irish wouldn’t take it personally the way he had spoken with him before.

Greetings went out all the way around. She nodded tersely to Hank in an effort to be civil, but to imply that things between them were not cordial. A rational personal would know the man to be blameless in what had transpired, but when it was your very person that had been violated in such a private way, rationality tended to go out the window. Emma was not of the forgiving nature, an odd conundrum since she often seemed to be in the position of desiring it for herself. The truth of the matter was the blue beast was not responsible for the crime that had happened nor in the now walking and talking embodiment of that crime, but he was the closest thing to it so she held him liable. Because she needed someone to blame, because anger and blame were easier emotions to nurture then compassion and forgiveness. She ignored the apologies from Lucius to Hank since she had not been privy to the scene that had transpired between the two men, most likely it was more men being men drama around the school, a measuring constant of who had the biggest bravado of them all. Regardless of intellect or super powers when push came to shove she imagined it always was a pissing contest amongst the men of Xaviers.

"When do I start my classes? Like do i start today or do i get to settle down in my dorm room first?"

Emma returned her attention to the student. She wondered if she was really cut out to be a tour guide. She had wonderful insight into the workings on at Xaviers, both in front of the curtain and behind, little of which she knew should be shared with the youth. It was the disadvantage she knew of being in charge, you were required to have all the answers but most of the time you yourself were stumbling with the questions. The trick Emma knew was all in the performance, if you acted as though you knew it all most people deferred to you regardless of whether you were right or wrong. It was amazing, she knew, how many people in the world wanted to be led, to have their basic chose taken away from them and blindly take the instruction from someone no more qualified then the Dodo bird had been in preventing it's own extinction. However, Emma knew she was qualified. She had lived more lives in her few years thus far then many did with three times the score knotted in their belts.

"Well, while we are rigorous in our classes here, Xaviers is a school first and foremost, this late in the day and you just arriving I imagine it will be better for you to get settled in first before jumping head first into the strenuous schedule. A rested mind is a more potent one after all. We have high standards here at Xaviers, so we do what we can to encourage our students to be the best at everything they can be. I can show you to your dorm if you'd like or Dr. McCoy can whichever you prefer, and tomorrow you can begin your courses. Perhaps you'd like something to eat first, I believe Lunch is still being served if you are feeling hungry. I believe Dr McCoy is quite famished himself, and wouldn't mind the company, would you Hank? That is if you don't mind holding off on your own dining for a moment or two longer to help show our new student around?"

Great, this little meeting was quickly becoming a mined battlefield for Hank, who again just really wanted to eat his sandwich. That couldn't be stressed enough. Why was he constantly harassed with his sandwiches? He really needed to start educating people around here that sandwiches were integral to his creative scientific process. (And don't be mistaken. Science and mathematics were creative actions.)

"Yes, I think Miss Frost has the best idea for today. Let's focus on getting you moved in, and you can attend classes after you get settled. I mean, I imagine you're probably jetlagged. Its not the easiest flights, the trans-Atlantic." Of course, it was usually worse going from west-to-east, but still. Plus, Hank had no idea if Liam had been a traveler in his life before. The first time you had jet-lag was usually the worst in Hank's experience.

Hank waved off Lucius' apology. Not that he didn't appreciate it, but it wasn't quite the appropriate time right now to do it. Not in front of the students. If he wanted to come to him later and apologize, Hank would be willing to hear him out, but as it was, Lucius' behavior was thoroughly unprofessional.

Emma's behavior was clipped and he was used to that. He was just lucky that his dark clone didn't clone anything else that had shown up at the front door of the mansion.

"I can show you to your room, Liam, if you don't mind me eating as we walk."

Luc, the mechanic, gave a quick apologie to Dr McCoy before he went to take his leave. On his way past the young Irishmen he stopped and a serious look flashed across his eyes as he told Liam to come see him in the garage if he needed anything. This caught the young mutant off guard. The tone had definatly changed from his first retrieving Liam from the front gate but it was warming to have someone offer him support. Liam made a note himself in his mind to go and see the mechanic after he got settled in.

Between the two administrators it seemed Liam had doged a day off classes. The Irishmen heaved a sigh of relief that he would get to rest after the long voyage. The last thing he wanted was to fall asleep in class on the first day.

"Thank ya. I am actually pretty tired, the trip takes quite a bit out of you and I wouldn't be opposed to a nice long nap." He said with a nervous chuckle to his voice. He couldn't remember reading much about the sleeping arangements in the literature he had been provided though it was likely that was through his own fault of disinterest. Not that he wasn't interested in going to the new school but Liam had first looked at it as just his family moving again. Something he never really looked into. He took so much pride in Ireland that he really hadn't wanted to leave but it wasn't his choice to make, in the Kilmurry house hold the Father's rule was law and not to be questioned.

"Na of course I don't mind. Sorry to drag ya away from your lunch hour though." Liam said with a small apologetic smile to the large blue man. Before they left though he had a question. He silently cursed himself for ignoring the literature. "Now what's the situation with sleeping arangements? Like will I have a room mate or have a room all to me lonesome?"

"I can assure you Dr. McCoy doesn't mind waiting on you, like most of the staff around here he is a true giver." Emma said a bit coldly never really looking at Hank or caring to judge how the man felt. callow jabs may have been petty and trite, but for the moment it was the only way she knew to express her simmering anger. She was not in the market for forgiveness or understanding just yet. She sent out a telepathic call for assistance in helping the teen with his bags and belongings and turning to address him again. So many little things to be seen to she thought.

"Now what's the situation with sleeping arrangements? Like will I have a room mate or have a room all to me lonesome?"

"Well, while Xaviers is quite spacious we do usually have dorms with roommates. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis mostly due to abilities certain students may have and the extent of their control. Naturally the safety of everyone has to come before comfort and leisure. Are you opposed to a flat mate, Mr. Killmury? If so we can look into seeing you can possibly get a dorm of your own if you feel to to your abilities you'd be more comfortable in a room to yourself. For the moment i believe the housing can allow it, but I'll have to double check to make sure. With so many students still around and the active team here as well its best to check the records completely before I make any promises. You'll find I'm a woman who hates to go back on her word. The boy's dorm is located on the east wing of the manor first floor, there is mandatory curfews and lights out. Your encouraged to think of this place as your home while your here just with perhaps a few stricter guidelines and more visitors, You can go have your lunch if you like with Dr. McCoy and when your finished I can have one of the students show you where you'll be staying."

Emma straightened her skirt a little before making her final goodbyes.

"Now Darling if you'll excuse me I have a few other affairs to attend to, a woman's work is never finished you know. Dr. Mccoy can finish attending to getting you settled in, and I'll see that one of the students come along to show you around. Welcome to Xaviers, Mr. Killmury"

And with that, without waiting to see if Hank could and would finish attending to the new student Emma turned on her expensive heels and made an exit similar to her entrance.
