"Oh, I'm sorry," Rahne said with a small smile and a shrug of her shoulders. "I simply assumed ye were in need of some work. What is it ye do, if'n ye dinnae mind me askin'?" She waited for his answer, but he decided instead to ask for clarification on her werewolf statement. It still surprised her at times when that simple fact shocked other people. It just seemed so commonplace to her, that she was able to take a lupine form amongst so many other more glamorous and potent mutations. What was what she could do in comparison to eye beams or mind reading or omnilingualism or walking through walls? Her mutant talents seemed quite mundane in comparison to that. "Oh, that. Well, no, not like a mythical werewolf. Wasn't bitten or anythin' like that. 'Tis just what my mutation lets me do. I can become half wolf or fully wolf. I c'n show ye if'n it won't frighten ye. It's really no big deal." That was one thing she had learned that surprised her. That she was frightening to some people in her other form. Like when she rescued Rodney from belligerent roses. Terrified the poor boy, which she had honestly not expected from his normally fearless demeanor. |

Lucius knew that the petite woman had asked about his work at the mansion but the shock of hearing what he had was too much. It wasn’t so much of a shock, at least not after what he had seen ever since he had arrived but it was still quite odd to hear. His gaze was unflinching, watching her every move not quite knowing how to act after hearing this simple fact. At least she wasn’t a mythical creature, some sort of werewolf from old times. Good thing too, if not Edwards didn’t know how to react in any way. So she could become a wolf in its entirety or have the features of one, not exactly something you see every day. As she said that she could show him what this meant Luc flinched backwards slightly. “So you do that at will? No full moon or anything of the sort?” he asked embarrassed at the stupidity of what he had just said. Truth be told, Edwards favourite animal was the wolf but this wasn’t what he had in mind at all. The Brit allowed a couple of seconds to pass but suddenly gestured as if to say that he wasn’t finished. “I apologize for the way that I reacted, I didn’t mean anything by it,” Luc said at first with an exhausted look on his face. He could almost remember what he had done not long ago to Dr. McCoy and wasn’t too fond of repeating the same mistake again. “Would it be possible to see it? I’ll try not to pass out but don’t be alarmed if I do,” Edwards added while trying to force a smile on his face. |

"No need to apologize," she said with a small shrug of her shoulders and a quick brush of her fingers through her hair. "It's not an everyday thing, I realize that - well, 'tis everyday f'r me, but 'tis nae common." A quick shudder ran down her spine as russet brown fur sprouted out across her skin, spreading out from central points on either side of her torso. Her fingernails darkened, hardened to form claws. Her feet reshaped to become pawlike, and her legs reconfigured slightly to take a more lupine stance. A tail slipped out from her backside, while her head shifted notably. Her ears grew longer and pointed, while her face pushed forward a small bit in the mouth region, taking on some of the properties of a muzzle, but still looking overall humanoid. "Ta da!" she said once the process was finished, her voice slightly more throaty, almost like a growl, but still recognizable as her own. All in all, it took a mere matter of seconds, with absolutely no sign of discomfort or pain. This was a shift she was not only used to, but designed for, so it wasn't something that taxed her body in any way. "'Tis simple enough, really. So now I suppose 'tis yuir turn," she said, indicating that he should demonstrate what he could do. |
