Sleep is a necessity, something that can’t be replaced or substituted. To Santo, sleep is invaluable and to the people who take it away from him are criminals who have committed the worst felony. It is not easy to wake up Santo, he sleeps like a rock. There was one time his friend woke him up early in the morning to tell him something the world needed to know; Santo broke two of his ribs. Luckily, there hasn’t been anyone at the mansion that woke him up early enough that he had to eradicate the problem.

Santo’s eyes flung open to the sound of high pitched voices frolicking outside. He looked over to see his alarm clock read 8:30. An unmatched fury flew over him; he was gripping the sheets tightly nearly to the point of ripping them. Whoever these, bitches, were they woke him up from a dream that he could of used a few more minutes. Santo was about to seal the deal with Kim Kardashian right before they started making all of the unreasonable noise. He hadn’t woken up for 8:30 since… he couldn’t remember. All he could do was lie in bed staring at the white ceiling listening to those punks. He didn’t know who it was he didn’t care now. He was awake and so full of anger and adrenaline it was like he took an IV of sugar mixed with five hour energy.

Slowly, Santo removed the sheet that covered him up. He wasn’t sure why he used sheets and blankets, he didn’t feel cold. It was similar to eating he wanted to hold on to everything that reminded him of his life before becoming a mutant. He moved over to the window and through open the blinds, Santo did this with such force it shook the pulley system at the top. He scowled down at the pool area. Then something happened, an emotional twist that could only compare to an empath’s manipulation. His anger turned into optimism. He counted the little ankle biters one… two… three. Three little freaks asking for a punch in the face or something.

He swung around, his bare stone feet scratching the hardwood floor. Santo was running for his dresser. He shuffled through the top drawer, boxers, he then moved down to the second drawer, tee-shirt, and the third drawer the young mutant grabbed the first pair of jeans he saw. He then stripped off all of the clothes he slept in the night before. He threw on the boxers and jeans, and last the shirt. He looked down to see that it said “I’D DO ME”. He smiled as he ran out of the dorm leaving the shoes behind.

He ran down the hall of the boy’s dorm making more noise than the kids at the pool were making. He was running down to his friend Julian’s dorm. He knew this would be much more fun with him than it would be to do this alone. After several hard echoing knocks Santo yelled into the door, “Julian, JULIAN! Get up, squidboy, the chick with three mouths, and the douche bag that shoots lightning out of his butt are all at the pool. This is a freak show of epic proportions!” Several more hard consecutive knocks Santo yelled into the door again hoping Julian would come out soon. “We gotta go bust that party up!”

Waiting a little longer for any kind of movement or sound Santo was disappointed. But he wasn’t about to let this opportunity go, and if he didn’t take Julian he would be pissed when he told him about it later. With one final knock stronger than the last ones that vibrated the very frame the door sat in Santo yelled at the top of his lungs, “KELLER!”
