Well, I was planning on my first thread being about Roberto returning to the Mansion to become an X-Man again. He was a student from the years 2000-2006, but left the X-Men when his father died. Roberto came back for a while (few days tops) when Prof. X vanished, to pay his respects and stuff like that. However, he has recently decided to rejoin the X-Men.

Does anyone want to greet him at the Mansion? They'd be expecting his arrival, which he's been planning ever since Apocalypse was defeated, making sure his father's company would be okay without him and everything.

If you want to do this, and have any ideas you want to share, I am 100% ears to them. Any opinion is a good opinion to me. :D

I know it's my other account, but, Jack could always use some plottage with some friends. I'd love to get in on this.

I'm not really wanting to join anymore 'welcome to the school' threads. Honestly the last 4 I've had my characters in the players have disappeared, but if you wanting to do some one on one threads I'm cool with that. Doug is the most lacking in stuff right now, but I'm willing to work out stories with any of the others at the school (Kyle, Emma, Kitty, Kevin). Just let me know.

Knowing 'Berto, he'd want to get there, unpack asap, then go do something. Maybe go into town, go down to the lake, ect ect. Wouldn't really need much of a "Welcome to the Mansion" but more of a "Good to see you again" or something like that...if that makes...any sense...

[size0]Say the dog and butterfly,
in the air they like to fly.
Dog and butterfly.
She knew she had to try,
and she float back down to the warm soft ground,
laughing - she don't know why,
but she had to try, she had to try.
Dog and Buttefly.

I'm going to have Berto arrive in the Mansion via Limo. Who wants to post first? After the opening by me I mean.

I think the correct term for how this should go is "winging it"

I don't think I'd be able to join the RP until after he's left the mansion. I doubt anyone there would appreciate X just wandering up onto their campus.

Well, Roberto's now at the Mansion. Most of his luggage is coming in later, so there doesn't have to be a big unpacking thingamabob. I was thinking Roberto would want to go for a swim or something down by the lake. I'd imagine he loved to do that as a teenager, so he'd want to do it again ASAP.

It was mid-day, and Roberto smiled as familiar sights greeted his eyes. He had waited to long to come back to the Mansion. On a happy note at least. Before this, he'd only returned to pay his respects to the man that changed his life, Professor Xavier. This time though, things were different. It was a homecoming.

Looking out the window of his limousine, Roberto saw the front lawn with the statue dedicated to Prof. X himself. Roberto only had bad memories on that lawn, quite frankly. Back when he was a teenager, the lawn was empty, and he and his fellow mutants would play games on it, like football. It was where he'd cheated for the first and last time in his life, using his powers to try and score a goal. He'd broken five of one of his best friend's ribs. That memory, coupled with the loss of Xavier, was enough.

However, the rest of the Mansion spoke only of joy to him. New faces, old faces, all mutants. Roberto might have been born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, but this was the place Roberto always felt was his home.

The driver stopped the limo and quickly got out to open the door for Roberto.

"Thanks sinhor," Roberto said, shaking the mans hand while he palmed him his tip "I'll get my own bags, no need to worry about it." The driver smiled and nodded.

"Yes sir Mr. de Costa," he said, and sat back down in the drivers seat, popping open the truck. Roberto picked up his medium-sized suitcase, and closed the trunk again. The rest of his luggage was to come by mail in a few days. He had wanted to travel light.

Roberto looked up at the front entrance, smiling ear to ear. Long ago, he'd told himself this day would never come.

"Ha!" He shouted out loud, to himself rather then to anyone in particular. "I'm back, whether you like it or not!"

Roberto climbed up the stairs and knocked on the front door. Hopefully someone had remembered he'd planned on coming back today.

Soooo...basically killed the intro thread, I thought about it more and those can become boring. BUT if anyone wants to see a studly Brazilian swimming, and/or just want to join him, I got a thread at the pool.

With daylight at in its peak hours, Jack was inside as usual, dodging around the rays from windows and doing his best to be productive. He flexed his bare toes across the rug of the foyer, trying to figure out the new phone in his hand. His last phone had been totally destroyed when he experienced a switch and an episode at the same time, the force of Emil's rage flinging his simple 'brick' phone across the clothing store and shattering it against a wall. If he had his way, he wouldn't have a phone at all, but it was necessary for him to keep contact with Lissa. Nonetheless, Jack didn't seem too particularly unhappy with the fact that the shopkeeper had pressured him into buying a touch screen, nor did he seem too upset by the fact that he kept typing the same word over and over in a text message.

For the past week, Jack seemed to have undergone a change in his whole demeanor. His vigilance had lost some of its potency, and he had a smile that was more genuine than just a shy curl of his lips. This was not an unpleasant change, as he had every right to be happy, especially after such a sequence of jarring experiences. But it would only be a matter of time before Jack realized that he wouldn't know how to answer his own phone.

He was startled out of his focus when he heard a noise coming from outside, and Jack arched his eyebrows as he slid the phone into his back pocket and approached the curtained window. He pushed the drapery aside only slightly with the back of his hand, surprised by the face he saw. Was that...?

There was a knock at the door and he pulled back to answer it. Luckily Jack didn't get overexcited as to forget himself, nudging the door open gently and squinting as the sunlight speared his sensitive eyes. "Roberto de Costa," he greeted with a lopsided smile, recognizing the familiar smell of ash reaching his senses even though the sunlight was disrupting his vision. "Its uh.. it's been a long time. Four years, maybe?"

The front door opened, and to Roberto's pleasant surprise was a familiar face: Jack Russell, one of his old school mates.

"Oh meu bom AMIGO!" Roberto cried out. Stepping inside, he set his suitcase down next to the door and quickly took Jack's hand, shaking it firmly.

"Four years indeed, and four years too long. It's good to see you again Jack. You look...different."

Roberto had been one of Jack's few friends at the Mansion. The poor man was a very shy, kept-to-himself sort of person. Roberto had befriended him, seeing the good nature that Jack had such a hard time revealing. That is the Jack Roberto remembered, but wasn't exactly the one he saw before him.

For one, the smile. Roberto had never really seen Jack Russell smile, as in smile smile. Sure, he'd seen Jack smile before, but in that sense it was more of an upward twitch of the lips. Jack was actually smiling right now. Either he was really glad to see Roberto, or something was going on. A good sort of something, but something nonetheless. Roberto was curious, and wanted to know more.

"...a good different, I might add. How have you been? Don't leave out the good stuff either, I know there has to be something." With a laugh, he patted Jack on the back rather heavily. Although Jack was an introvert, Roberto was clearly the opposite. Somehow, the two had gotten along back in the day. Hopefully things hadn't change.

Roberto picked up his suitcase and began to lead the two of them towards the rooms. He'd already been informed of his rooming situation long before he'd gotten here. After all, Roberto had been planning to come back for months.
