Amara nodded her head as Mark began to reply to her little.. Talent bit. Stuff with Hollywood did seem a bit strained, everyone was becoming another person that they weren't, be it in their music, movies, or in their candid, personal image. Some of them were succumbing to the pressure and going.. Well, frankly, they were going insane. Some of them just dressed scantily clad, where ever they went. They were even ignorant to the fact that they had paparazzi following them all over the place, yet still dressed like that. Even a few years back, there was a well known starlet that shaved her head until she was bald.

Her name was unimportant.

"Talent is neither here, nor far, I see." Amara nodded her head. "Some people will allow others to pass off as.. 'Famous', yet people like you or I are not noticed at all. It is a pity that the people that are in show business, or something, have to all have had at least on scandal, let alone a dozen." Amara said, sighing a bit. She was right, when it came down to the grand scheme of things. People were idiots and would follow after the next biggest scandal. It was like when the world went from Brittney Spears, to Lady Gaga, in nearly a matter of ten seconds flat. It was because Gaga messed up worse, some how.

"Fu--dge! Do you like Fudge, Amara?"

Amara glanced over to the younger male. "I may... But that really isn't important." Amara said, blinking her eyes. Though, DJ quickly changed the subject as he replied to Amara saying that she would, indeed, one day take him to Nova Roma. She didn't think it was really special, though she could also see why someone such as DJ would be so excited to go. Amara nodded her head, and smiled. "Of course."

"We are the ones with talent!" Mark decided to abruptly say aloud. It was not disturbing or rude, it was just so sudden after Magma stopped speaking. "I so agree with you." Many different celebrities started running through his mind, so many of them are famous just for doing... nothing. There are those select few that have a lot of talent in the great sound of singing, the memorable acting skills, and even the movement of dancing. However, some are famous for being rich and looking pretty. What really defines pretty anyway? Everyone has their own taste in appearance, why is it that there is only one standard for being pretty? One thing that Mark hated the most were the people who became famous from dating a celebrity, that was a completely stupid concept.

"Mutants like us should be loved, or at least be looked at as normal." Looking down in a very slight depression (Mark was a very happy person), he muttered, "Though, we are hated." With his sight back on Magma, "I know that we aren't hated by all of the humans, but those select few that do despise us make it seem like all of them do." Mark knew for a fact that not all humans were the same; hell, that was freaking generalizing, in which he oh, so hated to do. Every single person was different. Isn't saying that a mutant like Clarice Ferguson is bad because she is of pink color, the same as saying that a person of Asian ethnicity is bad because they are of a different color?

After what seemed like both Magma and DJ were thinking their own thoughts, but of the same idea, Mark decided to change the topic by answering Magma's question. "Wait, fudge?" He had totally forgotten that he had said fudge and even asked her about it, "Oh! Fudge.... ice cream, sundae!" Now, he got completely distracted and started to think of those delicious dairy desserts. "Sorry, sorry.... Can I ask you a question?" Which was more of a rhetorical question, because he asked this anyway. "What is Nova Roma like? Like the environment?"

Amara blinked here eyes as Mark suddenly exclaimed that the two of them were the ones with talent. That was partially true. Mark, evidently, had musical skills. Amara didn't know this just because of his codename, but he seemed really musically oriented. She figured that his gift just came along and, he was really lucky about it. It didn't work that way with Amara... Amara ravaged Nova Roma, whether she liked that fact or not. She nearly destroyed the city... And boy was she glad that she wasn't. "Well, father always told me that I was excellent at fencing." Amara said, laughing a bit a she watched the younger boy.

"I'm glad to be agreed with." Amara commented, nodding her head slowly. She wasn't lying.. But she wasn't sure if that was a matter that she could be agreed with about. She was sure that a lot of people, and Kim Parker in particular, would disagree. She was one of Hollywood's current icons. their current.. Well, their current play toys. Though - she was sure that that wasn't the right phrase, she had no problems saying it out loud. "The humans are simply jealous." Amara reassured. They WERE jealous. But other than that, they were afraid. Afraid that the mutant's would come into their lives. Ruin them. Kill them. But...

Well, whether they wanted to admit it most mutants, were nothing like Magneto. To the world, Magneto was a menace. In his eyes, he probably had a good view of things. But that really wasn't Amara's point. "It's a simple term of racism, DJ.. People are afraid of what they don't understand, or just what they don't like." Amara said. An evident sigh in her voice. Then DJ had his random spout about ice cream and fudge. Only to move on, asking Amara if he could ask a question. "Of course." Amara nodded her head, and then when she heard the question she tilted her head to the side. "Hmm... Let me sum this up in a few words. It was in Brazil, if you know the climate for that. It is in a rain forest, so it rained often.. But the temperature was always lovely."

Cracking his knuckles while there was a slight silence between the two, Magma had revealed that she was quite excellent in fencing. Mark didn't really know all that much about the whole foil and sabre sport. Could he even call it a sport? All that fencers, if that's the right term for them, did was to poke people with thin swords, which couldn't even be considered 'swords.' Though, he understood the whole concept of it. As there were many things that most don't consider a sport, but Mark does. For example, dancing, cheerleading, and cross country. "Fencing? That is really interesting. Maybe you can teach me sometime!" Sure, it would be weird, since Mark didn't really get taught sports from a feminine figure. He was usually the one to excel in the sport first. However, he would fully embrace the experience if it ever came.

"Agreeing is a good thing." Mark learned that in an English class of his before. They were supposed to analyze a book, in which he had forgotten the name because he never really read it. He only watched a low-budget film adaption of it that didn't even help. Anyways, his class were supposed to analyze the book and it's concepts. A huge argument broke out between both sides of the class, about something that the author had purposely added in for discussion. Books are supposed to be discussed, but an argument should never ensue. There are elements that are included to be viewed upon different perspectives, duh!

Thinking about arguing to even a greater degree, he thought about the whole ordeal between humans and mutants. When Magma brought up the term, racism, "I couldn't have said it better." Mark usually forgot words, he never really paid attention or cared to think thoroughly of things. Mark mashed his hands together while he said, "Okay, so it was pretty much like an epic combo of Rome and a rain forest?" Awesome....

"I'd love to." Amara said, a quiet tone to her voice. Mark was kind of.... Seemingly enthusiastic about all things possible. That wasn't a bad thing, at all, but Amara thought that it would get old over time. It wasn't even that she thought that, it was that she was sure. Amara was thinking honest - she didn't like the idea of people just constantly agreeing with her, even if she was purposely wrong. And, even though Amara was pagan, she hoped to God that he wasn't one of those people. That god was Hercules, of course. But otherwise.. That would just ruin her ideal of DJ. He seemed like a pretty straight forward teenager, and that was how Amara wanted it to stay.

"Oh, I am sure you could have. Or you could have made the term a little bit more.. Current. I am such a prude when it comes to my vocabulary." Amara, laughing to herself. Even someone like Amara had to make a joke about herself from time to time, and it was fact that Amara was one of the biggest prudes at the school. It was probably because of her background, she was practically royalty. That didn't quite help ones image when it came to vocabulary. If she ever wanted to become current, she'd fail. "Yes. It was pretty much like a combination of Rome and a Rain Forest, except more so the Rome part. As the name might give away." Amara commented, laughing.

Thinking about it, fencing seemed sort of boring. Mark initially said what he did just because it would have seemed fun. Poking each other with long, pointy foil did not sound as fun as sparring with deadly swords. Though, he knew that he would not really get the chance to fight with swords, since his powers more energy-based, rather than being physical. He had brought it up for himself a couple of times, imagining what being a feral mutant would be like. Thinking about persons had knew of like Wolfsbane or Wolverine as just doing everything so aggressively and viciously sounded fun. However, he would never trade his mutant powers for anything else. "Never mind that. If you did teach me something, I would rather have it be something mutant related. Like teaching me how to fly."

Mark did not know if Magma could fly or not, but he still meant what he said. Any sort of flight for a mutant power always seemed fun, just lifting yourself into the clouds.... ah, the experiences one could have. However, he would never want to have wings like Warren, because it would be a bitch having wings fully exposed in everything you did. Yawning, after the long day of packing and driving, Mark had little patience for what Magma was saying. It wasn't disrespect at all, he just had a low attention span. "Eh, vocabulary. That word makes me think of English class and my... not cool teacher." Mark used his hand to gesture that concept out of the conversation.

As Magma proved the rain forest plus Rome idea, he simply imagined the scenery for a few seconds. After doing so, "So, how about that tour now?"

"Well.. Regarding flight.. I'm not sure that I could teach you something that, I myself can NOT do." Amara said, looking down. "..Though, I'll admit that it's something that I do wish to learn to do one day. It isn't impossible. Pyrokinetics are flying all over the place." Amara said, smiling gently as she looked down to her younger companion. "But - I promise that if I ever do learn to fly, or even before I do, I'll try to teach you to fly. I'm sure it's fun.. Just imagine everything you could do." The blond was beginning to ramble, she didn't quite like that much.

"And what is wrong with vocabulary, DJ? A larger one could always do you good." Amara commented. It was true, Amara wasn't sure how many words were in DJ's vocabulary though. It could be a lot longer than she knew, but she didn't really.. Well, she didn't really care to find out. Truthfully, she figured that that would be the end of that part of the conversation. "Oh... Yes... The tour. If you want me to be entirely honest, I forgot that I was supposed to give you a tour." Amara laughed heartily. "Well, then I suppose we should be off?" Amara said, nodding her head. Shortly afterward, she walked out of the pool area. DJ closely behind.

((EXIT - Amara and DJ, Nick gave me permission to exit DJ))
