August 20th, About a month-ish after arriving at Xavier's 12:37PM Open to anybody in the school Life was good. It had it's ups and downs, obviously. Ever since he had discovered he was a mutant, Eli's life had seemed to remain in a constant downward spiral. All the hardship he had endured over the past year, however, was far from his mind at the moment. This particular afternoon, Eli Grant was counting his blessings. Roof over my head- check. Clean clothes- check. Food in my belly- check. Daily showers- check. Eli mentally went through a checklist of the positive changes that had taken place only a few weeks ago. As he lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling with a content grin on his face, another thought came to him. For the first time in his entire life, he had a room to himself. Eli was the sole occupant of M108. Obviously, that could change in an instant, but for the moment he didn't have anybody sharing his personal space. If it hadn't been obvious to the teen that life at the school was better than being homeless, it was certainly was becoming difficult not to notice the change in living conditions. Glancing at his watch, Eli sighed. It was nearly one o'clock in the afternoon, and he had precious little to occupy his time. Having grown up on a farm, the southern youth had an internal clock that simply wouldn't allow any sort of sleeping in. It was irritating, but it did afford him the opportunity to get a lot done. Just this morning, for instance, Eli had cleaned the boys' lounge, gone for a swim, ate breakfast, showered, and completed his homework. Things were going so well, in fact, that it looked like Eli would be able to begin his sophomore year of high school the beginning of the school year. Eli pushed himself up to a sitting position, and looked around his room. He had precious little in the way of worldly goods. Everything had been provided by the school. Clothes, school supplies, bed sheets . . . if it was one of the essentials of life, it had been furnished. While it was good to know that he was definitely well provided for, the teen certainly wasn't used to having things given to him. In short, he was getting restless; Eli needed to work. He needed to both earn money, and do something to repay the kindness he had been shown. Not content to simply sit around idling the time away, Eli threw his feet over the edge of his bed. After pulling on a pair of shoes, he crossed the room to his door and stopped. Eli stared at the door for a moment, and took a deep breath. Since he had arrived, he had been learning to control his mutant ability. "Practice makes perfect," he said to himself as he took a step forward. The sensation of passing through solid objects was becoming a familiar one. The only problem he seemed to have with phasing, though, was controlling other objects. As he turned to face the outside of his door, he cursed at the sight which greeted him. The plain black t-shirt he had been wearing was fused with his door. It hung, suspended, as if he had nailed it to his door by one of the sleeves. "Seriously? How does this happen?" Eli asked. A moment later, Eli realized that his door was locked, and his key was still inside. The latest development caused him to simply lean his head against the door for a moment. Phasing again would solve the problem. Plus, he needed to put a shirt on. But, Eli didn't like the idea of having a pair of jeans fused to his door as well. The idea that suddenly formed in his head, was both comical and somewhat practical. A quick glance in both directions revealed that the coast was clear. Eli stripped his remaining clothes off until he was standing naked in the hallway. He took another deep breath to clear his mind, but as he tried to simply step through the door, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Instead of passing through the door as he intended, he collided face first with a solid object. For the moment, he forgot that something had moved, and broken his concentration. "Dammit! Ow!" he exclaimed, surprised by the unexpected contact with his door. |

If Keren had learned anything during his stay at Xavier’s, it would be to expect the unexpected. Explosions and collisions occurred like clockwork, students flying in the hallways, and multi-hued people were all part of the experience on campus. In fact, Keren’s very first day at the school was full of surprises; complete with a boy with a vehicular hair-do. It was Keren’s third week there and he was beginning to get acclimated to all of the odd, unique, and potentially hilarious situations mutants could get themselves into…the naked kid in the hallway, however, was new. This particular Friday began normally enough which, in retrospect, should have been perceived as an ill omen. After waking up at five in the morning, much to his roommate’s chagrin, Keren and Mal ventured onto the training grounds. The hazy summer mornings were the times Keren spent centering his body and mind, while working on his power control. Keren’s class schedule was nil on Fridays, so he was able to conduct a longer session than usual. “Don’t spend too long on this.” bossed Mal, during a short break. “There is a Flight Manuel upstairs with your name on it.” As was the custom, Keren ignored her. After another challenging work-out Keren gathered his equipment, and went for a quick bite to eat in the cafeteria. Yoga coupled with the damp heat made Keren grossly sweaty, however, he was quickly spotted by some of his new found friends; thus his ‘quick bite; transformed into an hour long chat session about the latest blockbuster movie. When the conversation finally ended Keren had one thing on his mind…a hot shower! Quietly humming to himself, and gym bag in tow, Keren reached the boys hallway. Just as he was about to turn the corner he heard a loud THUD! and a shouted obscenities. Picking up his pace to see what happen, he Keren stumbled onto a view of Eli Grant, a full view to be exact. Unsure of what to do, or what was going on Keren immediately about faced, and hid on the other side of the wall. In a perplexed daze Keren tried thinking of an escape plan. “Don’t be stupid!” Said Mal unkindly. “Obviously the boy needs help. Or would you rather the whole school catch a view of his birthday suit?” She was right of course, but Keren didn’t know how to help the situation. He knew Eli, though not well for Eli was a few years younger than he, but what he did know he liked. The boy had a good work ethic, and never took his life for granted; qualities that Keren admires. And now that he had a chance to think about it, it became apparent that Eli simply phased out of his clothes. But nobody, no matter how well you know them, would want to be found naked in the middle of a hallway. With a new plan formulated Keren said: “Eli! Can you hear me?” for he was shouting from around the corner. “I know you are having…troubles, but if you meet me at my room, you can borrow some clothing! It’s M103” “Yes Keren that’s it.” Mal said, scathingly. “Shout about the kid to the whole campus! Sometimes I think you are touched.” |

Melody had come along with Doreen to drop off some homework for one of the students... he was out of classes because he was sick, but if he could get some of the work done he wouldn't be quite as overwhelmed when he was feeling better. Not to mention the reading could help him keep his mind off of feeling so crappy, hopefully. They had also brought along some ginger ale and fruit cups. No one wanted to deal with going all the way to the kitchen when they felt like they could barely crawl out of bed. The girls headed out of the kid's room in time to hear a 'thud' of someone colliding with their door, and some shouting. Of course, Melody's first reaction was to turn to see what the problem was. Her second reaction was to spin around and face the opposite direction. Naked boy. Ack. Her face burned. Of course it was nothing she hadn't seen before - some of the younger kids had a liking for shedding their clothes and streaking at the first opportunity - but she'd never seen someone her own age naked. And there was definitely a difference there. "Doreen-" she started, stopping upon realizing the other girl had joined her out in the hall before she could warn her. Her friend's expression. Priceless. Oh man. Poor Squirrel Girl. Her shoulders trembled slightly with silent laughter that she wouldn't allow to come out. “Eli! Can you hear me? I know you are having…troubles, but if you meet me at my room, you can borrow some clothing! It’s M103” a voice came from around a corner. A small giggle escaped Melody despite her lips being pressed tightly together. "Ah take it you locked yourself outta your room? Is the window open? Ah could let you in if it is.." she said, not looking over her shoulder at him. Once was quite enough, thank you. As it was she was pretty sure the image was burned into the back of her eyes. "Ah'm Melody by the way." |

The instant Eli heard a voice call out to him from down the hall, he instantly forgot about the fact that he had run into his door. More importantly than that, he had been spotted in the hallways with no clothes. It went without saying that the situation was unbearably embarrassing. However, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The voice at the end of the hall belonged to one of the older students- Yantra, if he could remember correctly- who was offering aid in the form of clothes. Eli didn't need clothes. He had those. What he needed was a way to get his key from his room without having more items fused to his door. While he was sure that the institute understood the possible accidents that could happen with so many mutants learning to control their powers, he was pretty sure that even their generosity had its limits. Oh well. At least I don't have to worry about a girl seeing me naked, Eli thought, just as he was about to try his own personal vanishing act. At that particular moment, however, he heard another voice. This one voice was undeniably female in origin, though. The sudden mix of surprise and further embarrassment caused the poor teen to temporarily lose control of his powers. While he was able to become invisible, he was unable to permanently maintain a transparent state. Thus, the result was a naked fifteen year old fading into and out of visibility. God, I'll bet the whole school is gonna hear about this, he thought. There was only one solution to the awkward situation he found himself in. As quickly as he could, Eli reached down and pulled the pair of jeans back on. That would certainly . . . do absolutely nothing. The denim material passed through his body as easily as it had fallen back to the floor. Was it possible to have a more inconvenient power? Eli could only wonder. Eli reached out with his hand to touch his door. It remained solid beneath his touch. That test confirmed his theory; God did, indeed, have a sense of humor. "Well, umm . . . this is awkward. Yantra, I appreciate the offer, but I don't seem to completely have this whole control thing mastered yet." The teen replied to the older student. He took a deep breath before continuing. "Melody, it's nice to sorta meet you. They say first impressions last a life time, so I sure hope this isn't a bad one." he couldn't help but chuckle then. "I'm Eli, by the way. Umm . . . my window is unlocked, but it's not open. If you think you can open it, I'd definitely owe you one." |

The plastic grocery bag of goodies bounced and crinkled merrily in her hand, filled with saltines and ginger ale and a healthy serving of macadamia nuts. The poor student was going to need that extra energy to catch up on everything he’d missed. Doreen swung it back and forth as they marched down the hall. Well, she marched. Not for any particular reason, either. She just felt like marching, goose-stepping along with her green and white polka dotted galoshes. Those shoes were happiness incarnate. Mel was in charge of the class assignments, which was probably for the best. Doreen was always hyper, too hyper, and with their luck and this writer’s unhealthy sense of schaudenfreude the papers would likely scatter in some random wind found in the hallway. The quirky brunette’s high-stepping briefly paused, a frown creasing her previously cheery features as she shook her head but kept walking. Doreen gave a pause to the same noise Mel heard, trading looks with her friend and turning around as well, careful to keep her large fluffy squirrel tail from knocking the various pieces of old portraiture off the walls like she’d haplessly done countless times when she first arrived to this school. She sighed gratefully—small spaces with various bits of tiny destructible things were not her forte—and then looked towards the source of disturbance with worry. “Hey there, are you… okay… oh… oh gee golly…” Now, Miss Green had lead a very sheltered life with her parents. Hers hadn’t been a strict Puritan upbringing, but there were some things that were never talked about in the Green household. Her mutancy, for example, seldom ever came up, mainly because Doreen was raised to think that having buck teeth and a giant tail coming out of one’s pants was a completely normal thing. She was an only child, one with very special circumstances, and the Greens did everything they could to keep their daughter kind and cheery and wholesome. As for the birds and the bees, well, of course Doreen knew what that was all about, though it still sounded strange and foreign and she couldn’t for the life of her understand what birds and bees had to do with anything. It made little sense, actually. There hadn’t been visual aides either. Another boy rounded the corner and offered help, but he didn’t register. Nothing did. The entire world was gone, except for one thing. “It’s… it’s like a wrinkly little mushroom…” she gaped, staring. Her eyes would never see the world, or pizza toppings, the same way again. Doreen shook her head, blinking a few times. The naked boy faded in and out of existence repeatedly. Either she was having some serious issues with repression, or Xavier’s had a streaker on their hands. The squirrely girl was pretty sure it was the latter. After what felt like an awkward eternity, Doreen took refuge and hid her face behind her tail, freckled cheeks blushing furiously. “What are you doing out here?! Go put on some clothes! Ew! Ew! Boy parts! Ew!” Well, if they were concerned about damage control, that was out the window. “Melodyyyy,” she whined. “I can’t eat mushrooms anymore now… or play Mario… why, God, whyyyy.” |

"Credit card, no... 'nother credit card, no... Lenox Collectibles..... mmmmmmmaaaybe... dinnae want yuir magazine subscription... no..." Rahne muttered to herself as she filed through her mail, retrieved from her mailbox in the main office downstairs. She was in the main lobby now, heading up the stairs to stow her mail back in her own bedroom. "Lane Bryant catalogue? What the bloody... gonna find whoever signed me up f'r this an' give 'em what for..." "... having troubles... meet me in my room... borrow some clothing!" "What are you doing out here?! Go put on some clothes! Ew! Ew! Boy parts! Ew!" "Ye've got t' be kiddin' me..." Rahne growled, her superhuman hearing picking up with no difficulty at all the ruckus being kicked up upstairs. With a heaving sigh, Rahne marched her way up the stairs. She hated this part. But being a faculty member, being a teacher, that meant that one had to be a disciplinarian from time to time. And with senses as sharp as her own, arguably the sharpest of anyone in the entire school, that put her in the position of catching things more often than anyone else save for the telepaths. She paused at the top of the stairs, taking a deep breath. Alright, Sinclair, time t' go be the bad guy... she thought, steeling herself for what she had to do before continuing along. "Alright," she announced as she turned the corner and started coming upon the scene. Sure enough, there was a boy standing there, naked as a jaybird, pants ornamenting his ankles and nothing else. And there was a crowd, it seemed. "What in God's name is goin' on up here? Young sir, I know yuir new here, but we tend t' frown upon public indecency. Now please, pull yuir slacks up, an' then maybe we should go down t' Mister Summers's office t' discuss the merits of keepin' yuir clothes on." She averted her eyes as she spoke, holding her hands out so that they blocked her line of sight to anything... unsightly. |

“You know…” implication was injected into Mal’s tone. “A naked boy really is affected you more than it should. The little girl with a squirrel tail is taking this better than you.” She cut him a sly look as the girls in the hallway confronted Eli. “You really do get on my nerves sometimes Mal.” He knew what she was getting at, and he didn’t like it. That certain subject was one he vowed never to talk about…not even to himself. Keren gathered his resolve, counted to three, and forced himself to turn the corner…making sure is eyes were pointed toward the ceiling. “It’s… it’s like a wrinkly little mushroom…” Shouted Squirrel Girl, completely in shock. When Keren allowed himself to look at the scene he saw the two girls, one who looked ready to start rolling around on the ground in laughter, and the other was currently having her mind blown. Now that Keren could assess the scene he saw that Eli already had clothes, wearing them seemed to be the real problem. Eli stood there flickering in and out of existence like an old light bulb, attempting to put on his pants in vain. The young mutant was trying to take his predicament in stride, but Keren could see his translucent face flush as the squirrel girl scolded him for ruining her gaming experience. "What in God's name is goin' on up here?” Came an authoritative, and very Scottish, voice. As Rahne reprimanded poor Eli she kept her eyes looking away, not noticing that the boy’s powers were clearly on the fritz. “Uh. Miss Sinclair.” It felt weird calling someone in his own generation ‘miss’. “I don’t think it’s his fault…he just can’t seem to keep his pants on.” |

Another voice joined the previous ones. This one, however, wasn't offering aid. It was obvious that she was taken by surprise seeing a naked boy standing in the hallway. Eli, who had been doing his best to remain calm and collected- rather than stressed out and embarrassed- looked over to the girl with the bushy tail and buck teeth. His face burned with the heat of embarrassment once again. If he hadn't been fading in and out of visibility, he was certain that it would be painfully obvious that his face was a rather bright shade of red. . . . little mushroom Eli heard. It was then, that Eli looked down at his exposed parts, and back to the squirrely girl. The sudden desire to defend himself mixed with the uncomfortable situation he found himself in caused a rather uncommon reaction in Eli. Instead of being the straight-forward, honest country boy, he was suddenly unable to control the portion of his brain that controlled his sarcasm. A clever quip was only seconds away. "Biggest damn mushroom I've ever seen . . ." Eli retorted, as the girl hid her face behind her tail. It was at that moment, that his bad dream became a nightmare. A familiar Scottish accent rang out above the commotion. The situation was getting wildly out of control. Giving an audible sigh, Eli attempted to pull his jeans back on. While he was invisible, he was able to firmly grasp his clothes. However, the instant he was no longer see-through, he was unable to prevent anything from passing through his body. Yantra's voice came to him once again. Salvation Eli thought. The last thing he needed was the staff thinking he was purposely causing trouble. Of course, nothing as simple as an explanation of the situation could have been stated. Oh no. In his infinite sense of humor, Yantra had phrased his words in a way which was rather inconvenient for Eli. He gave an audible sigh. Jesus, give me the strength to get through this . . . pretty sure I won't be needing lessons in humility for a LONG time after this . . . With all his options exhausted his thoughts turned to prayers. "Miss Sinclair, I swear to you, this isn't what it looks like. I can explain everything . . . I just. Well, this is a really embarrassing situation. Given the time to, uh, let this sorta blow over I could control my powers better." Eli just shook his head then. Things were inevitably out of his control at this point. All he could do now was simply wait to see how everything turned out. Despite his best efforts to remain invisible, he was still flickering into an out of the visible spectrum. Would he be able to regain control of his powers? Eli doubted it. Now, he was simply waiting to see what else could go wrong. |

Rahne glanced over at Keren, finding it easier to keep her eyes on him then on the naked boy. She found herself hoping that a male faculty member would be along soon, as it would be highly inappropriate for her to deal with this situation for too much longer. "Well, I understand that teenage hormones can be very... overbearing, Mister Dubarshi, but 'tis hardly an excuse for..." she trailed off as Eli explained further. It wasn't a streaking issue. It wasn't an issue of one boy being far too bold for his own good. "So this is a power issue? My apologies, then. Girls, Mister Dubarshi, I think it best ye run along now. I'll help this young man into his room, an' he'll get this all sorted out. And thank ye." She fished around in her pockets, and pulled out her faculty card. God bless electronic locks, she thought to herself as she swiped her card into the lock mechanism on his door and opened it up. It certainly made the "teachers have keys to the dorms" issue significantly easier than it would have been with actual keys. Electronic locks, teacher's key cards worked on them all. Made for great surprise inspection tools. "Alright now, in ye go," she said, standing with her back against the wall next to his door. "Take as much time as ye need to calm down, an' then we'll take a trip to the sub-basement t' see if we cannae get yuirself a suit made with unstable molecules. That should help with yuir... issue, whatever it may be." |

If anything, Doreen's reactions were making it even harder for Melody to keep herself from laughing. This wasn't happening for her amusement, and the kid that was at the center of it all had to be completely mortified. Now would be the time to scamper away and make good on her offer of opening the window, but.. Miss Rahne Sinclair showed up. Things were confused for a few moments until Eli managed to explain things to the teacher. "So this is a power issue? My apologies, then. Girls, Mister Dubarshi, I think it best ye run along now. I'll help this young man into his room, an' he'll get this all sorted out. And thank ye." "Yes ma'am," Melody replied, relieved that everything was dealt with. Or being dealt with. She could get out of there before she really broke down into laughter. Of which there would be no end, because she'd go into freakin hysterics. "C'mon Doreen, let's see if we can't get find a way to repress that," she said with an irrepressible grin at her friend. Poor Doreen was all sorts of disturbed. Not to say she wasn't, but her reaction to such tended to be laughter. Best medicine and all that. Tugging at her friend's hands, she was ready to be gone and then some. It'd be best if none of her brothers found out about this. Even Jay, who didn't really have the temper to match the others. She was their little sister after all. |

At long last, things seemed to be returning to a state of semi-normalcy. His explanation had served it's purpose. Miss Sinclair realized the issue at hand, and no longer considered Eli a delinquent exhibitionist. Eli sighed heavily in relief. Although he had just survived the most embarrassing situation in his life, he was thankful that he wasn't getting into trouble. With the realization that his powers were the cause of the spectacle, Miss Sinclair took charge of the situation. She issued instructions to the other students present, and moved to unlock the door which still had his shirt fused to it. Eli heard Melody reply quickly with a polite, "Yes ma'am" when it had been suggested that all of the non-faculty leave the area. Though his face still burned with the head of embarrassment, he could feel the blood beginning to return to the rest of his body instead of remaining solely in his face. Suddenly, as his emotions began to return to a normal state, his flickering in and out of visibility ceased. As Eli remained invisible, he rolled his eyes and sighed. Of course, he would regain control once things settled down. Being invisible, Eli knew he would, at the very least, remain solid. Losing no time, the teen pulled on the pair of jeans he had discarded earlier. They too, disappeared from view. "Go figure," Eli mumbled to himself. He remained invisible while entering his room. Only after he closed the door did he test his luck with his powers again. Standing in the privacy of his own room, he took a deep breath and willed himself to return to his normal, visible, solid state. As light began to reflect off of his body the way it was supposed to, Eli kept his eyes closed. Feeling that the lower portion of his body was still clothed, Eli looked down to see jeans remaining firmly in place. "Thank God!" Eli couldn't have been more relieved. The student quickly secured the key to his room in a pocket, and found another t-shirt. Once fully clothed again, he poked his head out of his door. Seeing Miss Sinclair waiting for him was a bit awkward. Eli took a deep breath to brace himself, and stepped back into the hallway. He couldn't quite make eye contact with the teacher as he said, "Alright. To the sub-basement." Eli tried to keep an upbeat tone to his voice. As far as he could tell he had succeeded, but he couldn't be too sure. To be totally honest, he wasn't completely sure whether or not he was going to be in any kind of trouble. "Ummm, Miss Sinclair . . . I'm not in any trouble am I?" |

In hindsight, maybe Keren didn’t choose the best words for the situation. But his brain was busy thinking of other things while his mouth blurted out its nonsense. If he’d been looking directly at Eli, he would’ve seen the boy’s exasperation towards his words. To his right Mal was squawking in laughter…he would never hear the end of this. Still, he was glad a teacher was present to take control of the situation. Keren was relieved for Eli that only a few people were present to watch this boy’s shame, but he was certain the two girls would spread it around the school. That is what girl do after all. "So this is a power issue? My apologies, then. Girls, Mister Dubarshi, I think it best ye run along now. I'll help this young man into his room, an' he'll get this all sorted out. And thank ye." Keren kept his eyes diverted as the flickering boy dashed back into his room. This was in vain of course, because Mal had no such qualms. In his mind he saw everything she did, and it wasn’t pleasant. Eli would get a suit of 'unstable particles' or whatever, and this wouldn't happen again. “Uh…yes Miss Sinclair…I’ll just be going uh…that way.” Keren quickly marched toward his room, as the two girls continued on whatever mission their were doing. It would prove difficult to concentrate on his flight manual. {Exit} |

Rahne smiled and nodded her head sharply as the other students headed out, leaning up against the wall outside of Eli's room as he got himself dressed inside. By now, happenings like this were... far less bizarre than they should have been. Considering the regular level of "weird" that went on at this school, a boy ending up accidentally naked due to his powers, well, that was nothing. It could have been so much worse, so much stranger.... that was just the way things tended to go with the genetically evolved. "Ahh, there we are," Rahne said as he emerged once more. And the kid had clothes on this time. Thank the Lord. "Trouble? Oh, no, no. If this becomes a habit, then maybe, but as of right now? This was something beyond yuir control, an' it'd do ye no good to punish ye for it," she patted him lightly on the shoulder and then headed towards the elevator that would take them to the Sub-Basement. "So tell me what happened," Rahne said as she lef the way. "I've got a guess 'r two, but I'd much rather know for sure, so tell me what happened, then we can get ye help in controlling it." |

As they Rahne led the way to the elevator that would lead to the sub-basement, she explained that he was not, in fact, in any sort of trouble. Eli sighed in relief. It was bad enough that the whole student body would probably hear about the situation within hours. Not having to worry about faculty involvement was a blessing from above. "So tell me what happened," he heard her say. "I've got a guess 'r two, but I'd much rather know for sure, so tell me what happened, then we can get ye help in controlling it." Eli had to think about it for a moment. How had the situation begun? With all the commotion that had recently taken place it took him a moment to remember that he had simply been trying to get back into his room to get a new shirt. Eli took a deep breath. He was certain that parts of the story weren't going to go over well. "Well, it all started when I left my room. I was trying to work a little on controlling my powers, so I just phased through the door, and part of my shirt fused with the door. The school's already done so much for me, and I don't like the idea of having more money spent on me for clothes- not to mention another door. So, I made sure nobody was around and took my clothes off- you know, so I wouldn't have jeans fused to my door too. As I was going back into my room, I saw Yantra out of the corner of my eye. It broke my concentration, and instead of walking THROUGH the door, I walked INTO it." Eli took a breath here before continuing, "As you can imagine, the situation was pretty . . . distracting. And, that's how it all started." |

"Phasing," Rahne murmured, mulling over the information presented to her. The boy walked through the wall, but not everything he had with him went along for the ride. Well, fortunately, phasing was something this school had a resident expert, perhaps even the world's foremost expert, in. "I think we can forgive ye poor judgement in this case," she said with a soft chuckle of a laugh snorted through her nostrils. "So this is what I'll do f'r ye - I'm gonna talk to Miss Kitty Pryde - she's our resident phaser - see if we cannae get her to give ye some time and instruction. She's very good an' quite easy to talk with, so ye should nae have any problems there." Rahne tapped the button on the elevator to take them down to the lower levels of the school, and stepped inside. Within moments, the doors opened again to the pristine and sterile steel corridors of the institute's sub-basement. "Fanciest elevator ride in the world, that is," Rahne said with a smirk. Funny the things that become impressive when one lives with the extraordinary day in and day out. Superhuman powers? Mundane. Everyday, ordinary. An elevator ride so smooth you can't even feel it running? Borderline miraculous. The soft clicks of Rahne's flip-flops slapping against the soles of her feet resounded through the halls as she led the way to the wardrobe center. "I'm gonna assume ye've nae gotten yuir own training uniform yet, aye? We'll set ye up with one, synch its molecular structure with yuirs, and ye'll be all set." As they approached the uniform room, the doors slid open and allowed them access. There were shelves full of various school apparel, from t-shirts to hoodie sweatshirts to pins and lapels. Dead center was a sizable computer terminal with a flat black panel on the right. Rahne approached the terminal, and tapped in her login information with all the fluidity of someone who clearly did not spend much time on computers. "Alright - I'll need yuir name - yuir full name, and I'll need ye to place yuir palm on that black rectangle there." |
