Hearing Miss Sinclair murmur the word 'phasing', along with the fact that she seemed to be thinking about the story he had just told her caused the teen to worry a bit. It was definitely an issue with his power, but at the same time had he not taken his clothes off in the first place, the situation would have been avoided completely. Poor Eli couldn't be sure whether or not Rahne was reconsidering taking him to see the headmaster.

Upon hearing the semi-chuckle, and then the declaration that he would be introduced to somebody more experienced in phasing than himself for a sort of tutoring session, Eli was overwhelmed with two emotions. First, he was relieved that he still wasn't in any sort of trouble. Being relatively new to the school still, Eli certainly didn't want to cause any trouble- especially considering that he had gone from homeless to living like a regular teenager . . . well, relatively normal. The second emotion was much stronger . . . and more familiar. The returning sense of embarrassment was something he was sure would haunt him for months. It was worse now, considering the fact that a member of the faculty was laughing about it now.

Taking a deep breath, Eli tried his best to ignore the nagging feeling that everybody would be laughing at him now. Attempting to take his mind off of the subject, he replied, "That's awesome. I've been working on controlling things on my own, but it would be a lot of help to have some instruction." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, they sounded stupid. Eli decided the best course of action would be talking as little as possible for the moment. Once he was alone again, he could proceed to find a rock to crawl under until everybody forgot all about the naked new boy.

Miss Sinclair commented on the elevator ride. Indeed, it had been a rather fast, smooth ride. However, Eli was sticking to his plan of speaking as little as possible. He nodded his agreement, and simply looked around the stainless steel world he suddenly found himself in. He followed Rahne silently, taking in the sights of the sterile sub-basement. Up until this moment, he hadn't known there had been such a facility right beneath the mansion. Maybe he shouldn't have been so concerned about the cost of replacing clothes or doors after all.

The next words the teen heard were instructions. Full name and place a hand on a black rectangle. "Eli Grant," he replied as he took a second to find the specified black rectangle. He placed his hand on it as instructed, and waited, not exactly sure of what he should expect to happen next.

"Okaaaayyy...." Rahne said as she set her fingers to the keyboard.

"Eeeeeeliiii... Graaaaaant," she said it aloud as she punched each letter on the keyboard. No, typing definitely wasn't her strongest point.

Upon hitting the "Enter" key, Eli's information came flooding onto the screen. Height, weight, age, a thorough rundown of what his powers were according to the preliminary scans taken upon his admission.

"Alright, here we go..." Rahne said with a smile and a nod of her head. "Okay, okay... where's the bloody scan button, where's the... ah, here we go. Alright, now just keep yuir hand where it is - this may feel a wee bit warm, but that's the extent of it."

She took the mouse in hand and clicked on the button. The panel under his palm would indeed feel a bit warm as it buzzed, reading his molecular structure in a very similar way to how a copy machine reads a document.

"And there we are," Rahne said with a smile and a nod. That was easy. No matter how many times she'd gone through the process with her own students, she never could get entirely comfortable with the system, even though it was designed to be as user friendly as possible.

"We've sent yuir data in through the system, an' now the computer's gonna take over. It'll start manufacturing a practice uniform f'r ye, which should be ready by tomorrow. It'll be perfectly inline with yuir molecules, so when you phase, it'll phase right along with ye. So it may be best to nae try anything until yuir suit's ready."

[size0]Say the dog and butterfly,
in the air they like to fly.
Dog and butterfly.
She knew she had to try,
and she float back down to the warm soft ground,
laughing - she don't know why,
but she had to try, she had to try.
Dog and Buttefly.

Eli waited while Rahne typed his name into the computer. The statement that the rectangle where his hand rested would feel warm turned out to be an accurate explanation. Anything else that happened within the computer went unseen by the student. Of course, it was an amazing display of technology. However, the whole process appeared to be rather uneventful and mundane. When he was sure the scan was done, he put his hands in his pockets and shrugged.

"Well, I guess that's it. Umm . . . when did you want me to talk to ummm . . .- Kat, right? When should we try to arrange a sort of study group or something?" he asked, curious of how such things would work out.

A small print-out slip slid of the console, and Rahne took it, tearing it off at the perforated corner. She turned around and handed the print-up to Eli. It was a ticket, a simple summary of the transaction that just occurred - his name, his student number, the size of his impending uniform, and a pickup time and date - tomorrow, at nine AM.

"Now, somebody should be here to help you out with that, may nae be me, but yuir order will be filled. Now remember, just to keep it safe, dinnae try any phasing tricks until ye've got yuir uniform. 'Tis possible ye'll nae have t' worry about yuir clothes fallin' off or fusing or what have ye, but 'tis much safer t' nae take the chance."

She couldn't help but smirk slightly as he got the young woman's name almost wrong. Not totally wrong, but close.
"Kitty, actually," Rahne corrected. "Though ye'd be best off callin' her Miss Pryde. An' I'll talk to her, see if she can fit ye into her schedule. I'm sure she could, but 'tis best if'n I make a hundred percent sure just t' be safe."

She placed a hand on his shoulder and squeezed lightly.
"An' next time ye find yuirself in a compromising situation? Come find one of us f'r help before ye decide that takin' yuir slacks off is a good idea. Alright?"

((I'm thinking we can wrap up with your next post))

As the printout was handed to him, Eli glanced at down at it. It was fairly simple, really. The information contained on the paper was similar to an appointment sheet; it gave a time, place, and description of what he would be returning for. Eli nodded, folded the piece of paper, and placed it in his pocket for safe keeping. Miss Sinclair explained to him that he would certainly receive his training uniform, although it could easily be a different member of the staff there to issue it to him. Eli understood, and nodded. The school was a huge place; he was sure it took way more than just the handful of teachers he had encountered to keep the place running. Likewise, when he was given instructions to not attempt any phasing the rest of the day, he understood too well. It wouldn't be any good to have any more students seeing him naked in public.

"Right, Kitty Pryde, Miss Pryde," Eli stated, committing the name to memory. When the possibility of scheduling conflicts arose, Eli shrugged a little, "If it helps, I don't have much of anything going on until that camping trip, so my schedule is pretty open."

As the time to go their separate ways rolled around, Rahne placed a hand on Eli's shoulder. "An' next time ye find yuirself in a compromising situation? Come find one of us f'r help before ye decide that takin' yuir slacks off is a good idea. Alright?" All the teen could to was give a nervous chuckle. "Umm, sure thing. Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go hide in my room for the rest of my life."
