Time: Around 12:30
Date: November 23rd

It had been about three days since the night that Rahen had taken Amara to see Jay "Icarus" Guthrie perform at a bar, and that night, he and Amara had really hit it off... She was a bit buzzed that night, but she wasn't too much so so that she wouldn't remember that night. She remembered it, and she had actually spent the last three days thinking of... Well, thinking of what she should do. She was actually interested, and that much in its own was surprising to say the least. Amara hadn't dated.. Well, anyone before. She wasn't sure what it was about Jay.

He seemed.. Different. When she was younger she was friends with his older brother, Sam, but Sam wasn't very compassionate. Jay was compassionate, or at least.. He seemed to be. From what she knew of his back story, what had happened to him in the past.. He had seemed to be, at the very least. Today, Amara had actually had the guts to go and ask him to.. Accompany her to a small coffee shop in North Salem. Most would call this a date... So would Amara, but not out loud. One thing that she had noted, was the fact that it was cold outside.

Jay's mutation made it so that he didn't have any body fat, quite like the original X-Man Angel. Amara sighed a bit and looked around at the street that the two were currently walking down. North Salem seemed to be bustling this time of year, it was getting nearer and nearer to the American holiday that was called Thanksgiving. Amara had only been here for about five, maybe six years now, but she celebrated Thanksgiving very now and again. She was thankful for the institute for allowing her to stay there, and she was thankful for Beast, as he had found her. But today wasn't.

Today was a day that Amara would be spending with someone that she may have thought of as more of a friend. She wasn't sure what to think of it, yet.. But perhaps, she would be able to figure out today? Amara sighed a bit, but quietly as to not make Jay think that she was getting tired of walking. "Oh. Here it is." Amara said, skidding on her heels to a bit of a halt in front of a small, seemingly new, coffee shop. "Shall we go in?" Amara questioned, looking towards the angelic mutant.. Who she still thought looked weird hiding his wings.

Jay was very surprised when Amara came to him and asked if he wanted to go out for coffee. Sure she didn't exactly say it was going to be a date... but it seemed to be implied based on the way she asked and was acting about it. They had fun a few nights ago at the bar with Rahne, and sure he'd probably admit to a few people that he was completely flirting with her that night. She may have been a year older than him, but honestly that wasn't much of a deal breaker for him. She was very attractive, seemed sweet, nice, and was easy to talk to. So of course he said 'yes' to her.

Jay naturally had to bundle up a bit more than others, he got cold easily, he couldn't help it. Plus his wings were strapped down underneath his long jacket since they were going to be in North Salem, not always the friendliest place for people with physical mutations who couldn't blend in. But despite the cold, Amara did seem a bit warmer than most, maybe it was her powers just irradiatating some ambient heat, or maybe he was just imagining it on purpose to say he had some excuse for walking closer to her. Though he kept enough distance where it wouldn't seem to awkward or forward towards her.

"We most certainly shall." Jay said with a smile and stepped toward the door and opened it up for her, holding it. "After you." Jay said, going off the good manners that he had ingrained into him from a young age. Some could call sexist, or old fashioned, Jay just called it polite.

Jay had been walking considerably close to her the entire walk from the mansion, and into Salem. Normally she'd probably say something, but really.. She didn't mind. She was comfortably numb to the fact that he was doing this, when if it were anyone else - male or female - she'd probably blow a gasket. This was mainly because of her upbringing, into what would be considered high society. High society.. Heh... That sounded funny to the young blond. If her powers hadn't manifested themselves and made her escape the city, then she probably wouldn't even be standing here right now. She probably wouldn't even know about it.

As Jay commented that they 'most certainly shall', Amara nodded. She grinned a bit when he opened the door for her in a 'ladies first' type of routine, and gave him a bit of a joking look. "Such a gentlemen." She said, her tone of voice much more sincere than the look on her face which appeared as if it were going to say something snarky and cynical.. But in truth, she wasn't. That was only so she could fake him out more than anything... Partially because it was a tad funny, and more so because it was probably going to be amusing if he reacted. She chuckled.

Walking into the building, Amara looked around. It was actually her first time in the building, as it was new in the neighborhood. She had seen it the last time she was in Salem, and decided that she would ask Jay to come along with her to this place, as she knew that it would likely need some business... But for a small, and new place, it was actually considerably busy. A few tables were full up.. Which, all in all, was a good thing. Amara stepped further inside, and looked back to Jay. "This place.. It is nice." She commented, unsure of what to say other wise.

"I am what my ma raised me to be." Jay said with a smirk as he continued to hold the door for the South American girl. It was sincere at least, though a little dated, he knew. Though that was the type of person he was at times, a bit old fashioned with a few modern thoughts.

Once she was through he'd close the door and look around the place. Small, but rather nice looking, plenty of business for the newness. Jay figured it was because it was at a good location with little competition near by. It was kind of nice to see something that was not a Starbucks in the area. He hoped that the drinks would be good. "It certainly is." He said with a smile back at her. "I see some seats, better get them before they are taken." Jay said with a chuckle, joking about how 'busy' the place was. Sure it had business, but it wasn't like there was a hunt for chairs.

He'd start to move over to the seats, and takes one for himself after she took one across from where he would sit. It was a nice window view of the outside, but was also in the corner of the store. Jay thought it was possibly a little more intimate where they could still be at the shop, but more or less by themselves. "So how have you been since that time at the bar?" He asked.
