After Magneto forged a truce between the rogue group known as the Genoshan Freedom League, the Genoshans -- those who wished -- returned to Sanctuary. Those willing did so, and they have begun to prepare for war on Genosha. Initially, their aims were to disrupt Genosha's economy and destroy it from the outside, but Genosha has persevered against their attacks on trade ships. Realizing that this was no longer enough, the Brotherhood and Genoshan Freedom League have decided to take aggressive actions against the country itself. Their directive will be to launch an attack on the primary government building in Hammer Bay, the capital city of Genosha. This building is an aggregate building composed of many towers, all interconnecting and accessible from one another. Many major government activities and persons congregate here, making it an ample strike. The objective of the mission is not to destroy buildings -- though destruction of the building is generally welcomed. The assassination of government personelle is their mission and try to find viable, concrete information to spread out to the world. However, the liberation of Genosha won't be so easy. The Brotherhood is aware that destroying a few people and busting up a few buildings won't stop a new enemy from rising. This is meant to be but one attack -- but Genosha will have its own defenders. The Magistrates are a special police force that act as the enforcers of Genoshan policy. They are heavily armed with advanced weapons and machine tech, well trained, and not pushovers. They act as the sentinels of Genosha, dealing with mutant incidents throughout the country. Centered in this building, they'll react rather fast to the attack. On top of the Magistrates, the Press Gang. Coming from one of the nearby mutant compounds outside the city, they'll take a bit to arrive. The Press Gang is a group of mutants specifically trained to hunt down other mutants, which makes them incredibly dangerous. When they do arrive, the joint forced of the BH and GFL will likely be forced out. So, since the GFL plot is being cut short, we're just going to end it with a nice big bang. What's going to happen is, is the terrorist will begin their attack and they will encounter the Magistrate forces. The Magistrates will be armed with both live ammunition and tranquilizer ammunition. When things begin to get heavy, they'll bring in their robotics, which are armored mobile suits with heavy artillery they ride in and control. You know, generic bad-guy tech. Towards the end of the thread, the Press Gang will arrive. These are Genoshan mutants who have been trained to deal with other mutants. Given the numbers the BH and GFL will be facing, they will eventually have to withdrawl. Several NPC Genoshans will die, which will prompt the Genoshans to inevitably leave Sanctuary. The strike team will compose of several members from both GFL and the Brotherhood. We'd like people who are actually active that we won't have to wait a long time. So yeah! Violence! Blood! Murder and mayhem! Who wants to start the liberation of Genosha with a warning from the Brotherhood? If you have any suggestions on what to do, feel free to post and suggest, as always. There was actually a lot more to the plot, but we'll be cutting it short here. I think the attack will be set mid-April, unless that's an issue. One or two Acolytes would be rad. Well, it's sad to see it get cut off at the knees, but it looks like what you've got here is pretty solid. Sign Mystique up. I'll try to think of something for her to do, but you know, if assassination is the prime directive here, she's real good at getting close to people. That said, would they have something to detect mutants or nullify them within this central building we're not-trying-to-bring-down-but-probably-will-anyways? Does she get to wear the anti-null bra again? |

They will have mutant detectors (just that mutants are in the area, because it's a main government building and mutants are a big no-no for the whole country) but they will NOT have nullification technology. Their power over mutant lies in the chips implanted in it, as well as conditioned fear. |

Let's hold off on adding Frenzy cause you already have Reptil. if there's open slots (I imagine there might be seeing as how active the BH is...) we'll stick her in. Same thing with Pyro. And in case people didn't notice, there's a picture link up in the explanation where it says "Hammer Bay" |

The battle for Genosha begins here: Dulce Et Decorum Est. For those of you wondering, the latin means "it is sweet and right" which is part of a quote from Wilfred Owen's poem of the same title. The entire thing is "Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori," which is "It is sweet and right to die for your country." See, my college is toootally paying off ;) |
