I'm looking for a few folks interested in exploring with Ororo the emotional consequences of the X-Men's actions during the Purifier attack once the plot threads resolve themselves. From Ororo's perspective, a lot of Purifiers were killed without need during that attack, purely out of vengeance or hatred or expedience, either by X-Men directly or with X-Men connivance. Respect for life -- even the lives of murderous human zealots -- is a pretty fundamental aspect of her character, so she's very much not OK with that. That said, I don't want to irritate players who aren't interested in this sort of thing by introducing her moral/ethical/religious concerns to main threads. She's not going to go around preaching to people who don't want to hear it. That's not her style, and anyway I would find it irritating to write those kinds of threads. I'm not particularly interested in on-panel moral arguments about how stupid it is to let enemies live, or how the Purifiers didn't deserve to live, or how all those deaths were tactically necessary, or whatever. But it feels wrong not to acknowledge it somehow. So, I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for here, but basically once the dust settles from the Purifier attack I'd like to start a personal side-thread with Storm where she can somehow come to terms with all that. If that sounds interesting to you, respond here and we can start brainstorming ideas, either here or offline. |

Raises Hand!!! Sign me up!! Sign me Up!!! Seriously though, Sam's going to have a lot of guilt about what he did. Talking to 'Ro about some perspective would be awesome. |

We need a count of who is going where once the evacuation begins. There are three options. One group will be going to the Utopia Base in the Savage Land. It's mostly operational, but there are some parts of the facility unfinished. Most of the students should be in this group. Some people are staying here, probably in the city, to deal with clean up, reports, whatever. Some people, I imagine, will being going to Sanctuary. This is your opportunity. No judgment will be made. Be prepared. Telepaths at the gate will likely scour your brain. Edit: For Clarification, any student who still has contact with their parents will have to take that into consideration. Utopia Scott (Utopia and then City) Logan (Utopia and then City) Kurt (Utopia and then City) Hank Artie Synch Marrow Kelrian Laurie Jack Josh Meggan Rodney Meilei Inferno Rahne Ororo Kitty Kevin City Jean (City and then Utopia) Sam (City and then Utopia) Bobby (City and then Utopia) Sarah (City and then Utopia) Roberto (City and then Utopia) Shard (City and then Utopia) Doug (City and then Utopia) Melody (City and then Utopia) Jay (City and the Hellfire) Warren (app to go up soon) Sean Derek Surge Rho Martin Terry Doreen Sanctuary Jeb (City and then Sanctuary) Grim (City and then Sanctuary) Emma Frost Undecided Cessily |

Robert would be interested in it, thing is with her personality he wouldn't really seek Ororo out for the conversation she'd have to approach him in which case he'd listen to her because well she's Ororo and has lot's of respect for her. He killed a few people, and that bothered him a bit...mostly because he never thought he'd be able to kill anyone before, and has never killed anyone in the past. So it's sort of messing with him, coming to terms with the fact...that he is in fact capable of killing. Whatever, I digress I'm willing...Storm was always one of Roberto's favorite teachers and a good chunk of his moral code is adopted from her...so yeah. |

I could see Rho doing this. Growing up in a bad neighborhood and running with a gang got him accustomed to death early on, although up until this point he's never killed anyone himself. |

Maybe not this particular thread, but I do want Rahne to contact Dreamer at some point after all is said and done, in regards to the Morlock kids who died. Not all of them did, but a good number either way. |

OK... Sam, Bob, Rho it is. Rahne, you're free to join as well if you want; let me know. I figure this has to wait until we know what's happening during the day or two after the attack, and we can find a window that makes sense. One possibility: maybe 'ro is involved in a private memorial service for the dead (something from her own religious tradition) and y'all end up walking in on it for some reason, and it becomes clear that her service is for the dead Purifiers as well as the dead students/staff, and y'all react to that however you do, and we take it from there? Just a possibility. Open to other options. Rahne, with respect to Dreamer... I'd love to do that thread, but I suppose planning it has to wait until the Morlock attack is resolved and we see what else the mods are throwing at us. For all I know the Tunnels will be collapsed by Mr. Clean and we will all have to escape to Sanctuary, or flee into the Moloids' tunnels, or who knows? |

For Those Going to Utopia. We have three methods of transportation. Scott will fly the Blackbird, we'll need a pilot for the Phoenix Flight (the spaceship) and Kathy (Scott's Cessna), all three of which have been fitted with the wormhole devices that will get us into the Savage Land. The most injured and/or youngest students, as well as a few members of Support Staff should be in the Blackbird. It will arrive first, within a matter of a few hours. The Blackbird can hold up to fifty, though not comfortably. There are 2 seats in the cockpit, eight passenger seats, and up to forty fold out seats in the hold. There are two holding cells that can be turned into emergency medical stations. The Phoenix Flight should have a few of the older senior training students and less critical staff members. It will leave in a couple of days, in order to get things taken care of. The Phoenix Flight can hold 15 people. Note. The Phoenix Flight is a telepathically controlled ship. Jean will be piloting. Possible co-pilots may be "taught" by the ship's systems. Kathy should have the lesser trained students and non-critical staff members. It will take the longest time to arrive. It will leave immediately, but it's a long flight and Kathy isn't supersonic. Kathy can hold 8 people. Scott will make the necessary arrangements towards Shield and the Military once they are in the air, and if Jean's up to it, she could probably handle the local authorities. So I need to know who is going on what airplane. There may be multiple trips necessary. Blackbird piloted by Cyclops---26 seats left |

Jay - cool! 'ro just joined it. I won't shanghai your thread, though... there's plenty of thread potential just in Jay's return. Logan - I think I'm gonna cap this one at four, but I'd love to do a Ororo/Logan thread now that he's back at the Institute, whether related to the whole killing-people thing or not. (Though I have to assume that Ororo and Logan have talked this subject to death over the last several years, given who they are.) |

OK, here we go. Created In thy orisons be all my sins remembered for Sam, Sunspot, and Rho. I figure she's somewhere private enough that there won't be constant traffic, but where it's still plausible that they might stumble across her while engaged in some other activity. Created Wolverines on a Plane for Logan. Thanks all! |
