Robert sat in his Manhattan condo...he was alone. He didn't like that...he was drunk...that didn't make him feel any better. He was tired of feeling sad, he had been drinking to try to make himself better, and it really only made things worse. He couldn't so much as close his eyes without hearing the mansion explode over, and over in his head. He knew that he probably wouldn't ever be the same after what had happened. Just like he knew he'd never be the same carefree billionaire playboy after Apocalypse happened. But just like always he didn't want to accept it. He didn't like change, and he was tired of being sad.

So he decided to try to handle his negative feelings the way he always had in the past. By going out to a very expensive night club, and drinking himself into a coma while in the company of beautiful women. It was what had always worked for him in the past, surely then couldn't be any different. It all made perfect sense to his inebriated mind anyway. He didn't have a car due to his Maserati having been destroyed along with everything else in the mansion that blew up. Not that it really mattered anyway. Even if he did have his car with how drunk he was, he really wasn't in any condition to drive.

For some people that might've been a problem, Robert on the other hand...simply called for a limousine to pick him up. He put some new clothes that he had bought a few days before with Shard, and her friend Martin at the mall. Martin who had been new to the mansion before it blew up didn't have much of anything to his name. So, Robert took it upon himself to buy him some clothes, along with a pretty nice cell phone. He didn't really know the kid, and he seemed to be a bit shy when they were at the mall, but for some reason he'd taken a liking to the younger man.

Not long after he finished getting dressed he got a phone call on his cell informing him that his limo was ready from down stairs. He looked himself over one last time in the mirror. "Showtime." He said to his reflection giving himself a wink before exiting his condo, and heading downstairs where his rather expensive limo was waiting for him. He was ready, to have a good time...or at least he was ready to try and force himself to have a good time. And if that didn't work out, he was ready to act like he was having a good time.

Robert wasted no time entering the luxury limousine once he was in there, he told the driver to take him to the Kiss and Fly nightclub. It was a relatively new place that had just opened up to some rather raving reviews, and Robert had been meaning to check it out before all the Purifier craziness had happened. He had heard the place was kind of hard to get into, but when you were a billionaire trust-fund baby there was really no place you couldn't get into if you wanted to.

The limo pulled up to the place twenty minutes, later. The driver opened the door for him, and we walked straight past the line, and through the red velvet rope. He smirked when he heard the complaints from everyone who had been waiting in line...he always got a kick out of that. Once he got in, he quickly purchased a VIP people table and sat down. He ordered a bottle of the most expensive champagne they had, and started drinking.

A Few Hours Later

Robert was completely hammered, and sitting with three beautiful women in his private VIP table. They were laughing at all of his jokes, and hanging off of his every slurred intoxicated word. Ironically, enough though he wasn't trying to hook up with any of them...after having met Shard for some reason he was finding it difficult to man whore around like he normally did. Of course that didn't detour him from making perverted jokes, and ordering bottle after bottle of expense eight hundred dollar champagne.

"So, why are you here all by yourself?"

One of the women asked him. "I'm not here by myself...I'm...with you lovely ladies." Robert slurred sipping his glass of champagne, and watching all the people on the dance floor. "But we all can't have you....you should call a friend or something." The girl replied giving him the same ditzy smile that he had gotten from women only interested in his money for as long as he could remember.

"Or something?" Robert inquired smiling back at her. "You know what I mean." The women replied. Robert looked at the other to females, and they seemed to agree with her. He didn't know if they had expected him to call some other rich guys or something, but he was bored being there by himself anyway so he had decided to oblige them. He struggled to get out his cell, and decided to play a game that he'd done every time he was out partying like this and wanted someone to come out and join in on his good time.

He went to his contacts...closed his eyes, and scrolled down he then counted to five whatever contact he landed on when he opened his eyes was who'd he call. If he called them, and they didn't answer or were unable/unwilling to come out he'd do it again, and again until he found someone willing to come party with him. He counted to five in his head, and opened his eyes. The name he saw, made him laugh at bit.

Martin. The new guy who he'd took on a mini shopping spree a few days prior. He liked the kid, and everything, but with how shy he seemed to be the crazy raunchiness that was Kiss and Fly, probably would've blown the guy's mind. Robert smirked...he knew he'd enjoy watching how Martin handled the situation so he called him. "I'm calling a friend of mine you guys will love him...he's got a horse cock" Robert said his heavy drinking having made him pretty vulgar. "Don't ask me how I know that though." The phone rang, and when Martin picked up Robert talked to him his voice slurred, from how much he'd had to drink.

"Martin! Buddy, hey listen...listen are you listening?" Robert said, he was wasted...more than that he was drunk as a skunk. "Y-You gotta come out to Kiss And Fly I-I got these girls, here and they're dying to see you're mini Martin...I told them all about it. I-Isn't that right ladies?" Robert said before holding the phone out for the women to speak into.

"Yeah!" One said, "We wanna meet you!" said another. "You sound cute!" The last one said. "You see! You see! I told you man come on don't bull shit hurry up!" Robert practically yelled into the phone before hanging up, and informing the club manager to tell the door man to let Martin in when he arrived as he was his 'guest of honor'. Roberto then waited for Martin to arrive continuing to drink, and flirt with the girls until he got there.

Only a week had passed, and yet, the Mansion blowing up still played through his mind over and over. Martin had been there for about two months when it happened, and literally right before his eyes, his home was taken away again the red and orange rage of fire. He remembered quiet vividly the concussion of the blast that threw him into the back of his Transitional Apartment. As he thought of it, his hand found a place along his ribs, fingers trailing over the spot they had broken when he leaped from the third story window after gathering medical supplies for the infirmary. During everything, he had learned that he had some interesting traits in his bone that he didn't know about, and ever since, he had been pondering what the true capabilities of them were.

Healing factor, control with his mind. Those were the things Josh had mentioned before hurrying off to other patients the day of the attack, but now, a week later, things had steadily moved along. Martin and the other stay behinds had been put up in the Downtown Penthouse tower. Having settled in the next day, Martin salvaged what was acceptable in society and what actually fit him from the closets in his room. He ended up with a minor wardrobe what would work for now, mainly consisting of button up shirts and slacks. Martin had still had what he wore the day of the attack, so after his pants had been washed, he also had those and his shoes.

Martin glanced over at the pile of clothes that he had laid out before crawling in bed, but found himself dreading the thought of getting out of his bed in the morning. Nightmares of the Mansion's fire and the Mutant Town fires burned in his mind all throughout the night, and that had granted him little sleep. But he knew sleep deprivation wasn't too blame for what he felt deep within his chest. Martin had never been around death, and even when his father up and disappeared, his mother figured he wasn't dead. But with the attack on Mutant Town, and then the attack of the Mansion happened, Martin had found himself buried in bodies, metaphorically speaking. The thought caused his stomach to wretch, and he rolled over on his side to try and find comfort, it didn't work.

He peered toward the clock that sat on the bedside table; 2:38am. Martin sighed deeply, he really couldn't find enough hours in the night to sleep and not enough hours in the day to sort out his mind along with helping the residents of the Mansion prepare for the trip to Utopia. The thought of moving so far was daunting to Martin, but then again, he didn't have much to live for here anymore.

With another sigh Martin pulled the blankets over his shoulder and held them close to his chest, his hands touching on his necklace that resided on the inside of his shirt. It was his brother's, and sadly, it was all that he had left of Tomas beside the uncanny resemblance they had shared. Martin sighed yet again, holding back tears and his throat grew a lump that pained him when he swallowed. Just then, his phone rang loudly, breaking all the silence in the room. The loud buzz took him off guard and he jumped a bit before reaching for it with a groan.

Pressing the side button on the flip phone, it went silent, but the outside screen remained lit. The name read someone he didn't really expect to hear from again: Robert. Martin, Shard, and the man had gone to the mall for a shopping spree where Robert showered Martin in gifts and clothing, but from what Martin gathered, it was all a show to impress Shard, Martin's first friend in the school, and Martin really never expected this guy to talk to him again, let alone make the effort to call him.

With a slight shake of his head, he flipped the phone open and pressed it to his ear. "Hello?" He spoke out. Martin was greeted with loud slurs of his name, Berto was obviously heavily drunk, he could almost smell the alcohol through the phone.

"Y-You gotta come out to Kiss And Fly I-I got these girls, here and they're dying to see you're mini Martin...I told them all about it. I-Isn't that right ladies?"

Martin grimaced and pulled the phone away as loud music bumped through the phone and high pitched voice of three woman screeched through the phone. Once it sounded like Robert again, he put the phone back to his ear, only to receive a command for him to come down then a loud click, then silence...beautiful silence. Martin groaned. He hadn't even had the chance to reply, say no, or make up some excuse as to why he didn't want to go down to a club at 3am, but Berto made sure he didn't get to say no. With a sigh, he rose up and walked over to the pile of clothes he had set out and wriggled them on. Martin walked to the door and grabbed his wallet, slipping it into his front left pocket and making sure his cell phone was in the right one. With conformation on both, he walked out the door and found his way to the lobby.

Once outside, he flagged down a Taxi and hopped in, telling the driver to take him to the Kiss and Fly night club. The driver, a rather unfriendly fellow, simply grunted and weaved his way back into traffic, and within thirty minutes, he was there. The Taxi pulled up and Martin got out, tossing a $50 at the driver. He walked up past the line and approached the bouncer who pushed a palm to his chest. Martin sighed a put his hands up even though they were in his coat pockets and tried to reason with the giant man, "Excuse me sir? My friend called me...he sounded pretty drunk, I'm just here to make sure he stays out of trouble!' Martin had to shout over the loud music pumping from behind the bouncer, and even then, the man had to lean in to hear him. The bouncer shook his head with a smirk played on his face, "Yeah, and I'm sure your name was on the list, someone just didn't write it on there, right?" The man gave a loud "pft" and turned his head.

Martin sighed, something he had noticed he did a lot of, and leaned in again. "Listen, this stuff really isn't my thing, so if you just let me in I'll get my friend and be on my way" People started to get annoyed with him and started to yell at the bouncer. the man reacted how any other bouncer would and shoved Martin again, "Beat it kid, you're not welcome!" A faceless crowd member shouted from within the line, "Yeah, who do you think you are!?" Martin rolled his eyes and spoke to the person in the crowd, "Martin Krane, thanks for asking, I didn't know you cared" He said with a heavy sarcastic tone.

Turning to leave, Martin was stopped by the large hand of the bouncer. The man turned him around, if it was against his will he couldn't tell because of the man's strength. "Martin Krane? Why didn't you say so sir!? The VIP table is in the back!" The man lifted the red velvet rope and ushered Martin inside, much to the disdain on the line outside as they gave loud protest and screams.

Martin entered the club, albeit confused as to what had just happened, and slowly made his way through the bouncing dance crowd. Music boomed against the walls and lights shot across the room. Dancers were sweating and DJ's played their music. Pushing his way through he finally reached the other end of the club where he saw a blocked off section with a smaller built bouncer. Martin approached him and this time, spoke him name, "Martin Krane?" He asked the bouncer, who looked over smaller list and then nodded, letting him through.

He heard the loud squeals first, then Robert's voice and simply turned to his right to see him and three other girls at a table filled with empty bottles of wine and alcohol. Martin shook his head and walked over cautiously, pulling his hand from his jacket to wave and give a reluctant hello, "Hey Robert..." He said, loud enough to be heard over the music but not a yell.

In all honesty Roberto was so trashed that he had completely forgotten that he had called Martin in the first place. His decision to call him was a random one, and had he been sober he probably would've realized how silly it was to call someone at three in the morning, and demand that they come out and party with him. Especially someone like Martin who Roberto had only really known for a few weeks. Not that he would've minded after all he was doing a pretty good job of keeping himself entertained.

One of the girls had gotten out some candy Trolli gummy eggs, or something. Roberto had never seen them before, but he couldn't resist asking for a handful when she got them out. Instead of eating them though he opted to just throw them one by one at her. Her reaction was to tell him to stop at first, but after it became clear that he wasn't going to, she decided to try and catch some in her mouth. "You're getting candy everywhere!" The girl exclaimed. "That's because you gotta open your mouth more!" Roberto replied throwing the last piece of candy that he had.

It missed, and landed conveniently in her cleavage. Roberto didn't say anything. "You missed again." She said with a smirk. Robert didn't say anything back he just pointed at her breast...where the piece of candy was nestled ever so perfectly. "You're horrible!" She called him before throwing a handful of candy at him. Roberto laughed, and right then is when Martin appeared.

"Hey Robert..."

Roberto's head cocked to meet the person who was calling his name. When he saw that it was Martin he started smiling from ear to ear. "MARTY!" Roberto exclaimed loudly. At first he was a bit surprised to see him there, but after a few seconds he remembered that he had called him earlier essentially ordering him to come out, and have a good time with him. "You came!" He said his voice revealing that he was quite surprised the he did in fact come. "Have a seat." Roberto said scooting over so the younger man could sit down at the table.

"How you doin? You good? Need anything?" Roberto asked firing off questions quickly without even really waiting for a response. He poured Martin a class of the very expensive champagne. "Now, introductions!" Roberto said clapping his hands together briefly before pointing to the first girl.

"This is Lola." He said. "Lila," She corrected. "Whatever." was his response.

"This is Brittany!" He said almost sure he had gotten the name right that time. "Ashley!" The woman protested..."Uh, huh" Roberto replied. And this lovely lady is...uh." Roberto didn't even have a good guess for what her name was. "Rachel." The woman answered having sensed his uncertainty. "And ladies this is my best good friend Martin." Roberto said putting his around around the younger man. All three of the women greeted him each of them flashing him flirty looks when they did. Robert poured himself a drink, and took a sip from it. "So, Martin I'm guessing the cell is working right...of course it's working you're here, you wouldn't be here if it didn't work." Roberto said taking another sip of his drink.

Martin had watched the candy incident from afar as he approached, and had accidentally come up to the table saying "Hey Robert" to the woman's chest. When Roberto explained his name, Martin jumped slightly as he was brought back to reality.

Within another second Robert yelled out again, "You came!" Martin's eyes grew wide as he gave a fake smile, "Yeaaah, I did!" he announced with false enthusiasm, and as the drunken man told him to sit down, he did so as he scooted over.

Robert didn't even stop for breath as he went right into asking many question in quick succession that Martin didn't even have time to respond too. Settling awkwardly at the table, Martin declined the drink the man poured for him and listened to his friend get all three girl's names wrong and noticed how they didn't even care. Either they were as drunk as Robert was, or they were willing to go through anything for a rich night of money. They all flashed him beautiful, tantalizing grins that secretly drove Martin crazy. He would have given anything to find a girl that beautiful who could really keep up with him mentally, something he guessed these women couldn't do, drunk or not. So instead of flirting, Marty simply listened to his friend ask his questions.

When his trailing sentence finally came to a close, Martin leaned back and grinned a bit. "Yeah man, It worked perfectly fine...rang really loud and disturbed my sleep and everything" Martin couldn't help but take advantage of Robert's drunken state. He knew he could have some fun with it, make him do whatever he wanted, within bounds. Martin wasn't the type to always take advantage though, so he decided to meet himself in the middle and mess with his head a little.

"But man, I must say...I keep hearing this buzzing whenever I pick up a phone call, it's not the vibrate." He eyed the women, "And I just can't seem to find out what it is...think you can?" Martin reached into his pocket and revealed the cell phone a second later, handing it to Robert from his hand where it sat flat against his palm.

Robert frowned when Martin turned down the drink. "Seriously?" Robert stated with a raised brow. "You aren't gonna be some sort of party pooper are you?" He asked opting to drink his drink for him, not wanting to see it go to waste. The billionaire play boy was only half listening when Martin said something about his phone giving off some irritating buzz. Roberto was to occupied eying the gummi egg that the girl had neglected to remove from her breast.

He was so enamored with the sight of the candy nestled oh so perfectly within the woman's chest. That he was really only half listening when Martin said something about the new phone that he had bought for him. And he only turned around when Martin put the phone in his hand. He hadn't really been paying attention, and because of that had no idea what it was he was supposed to be doing with the phone.

"Uh," Robert said confused. "He wants you to listen for the buzz silly." Lila reminded him. "What?" Robert replied confused. "He says the phone buzzes when he gets a phone call!" All three of the girls said simultaneously. "Oh, well I guess one of you three should call his phone so I can investigate!" Robert replied simply before giving them his number. "Whoever gets through first gets to be his girlfriend!" Robert said sipping the drink that was supposed to be Martin's.

Almost immediately after he finished calling out his younger friend's number all three of the girls commenced to dialing, obviously having no qualms against playing along with the little game Roberto was playing. The phone rang, and Roberto didn't even pay attention to who's number it was, it wasn't like he'd know it if he saw it anyway. "I don't hear any buzz." Robert said holding the ringing phone up to his ear. "Here, I pretty sure it's for you." Roberto said with a smile, before handing the phone back to Martin.

Martin watched the fiasco continue on, seeing his friend forget why he had got handed the phone, and then try to fix it. It amused Martin slightly, but not enough to take his mind off of how intoxicated his friend was. He knew this couldn't be good for his judgment, and even worse for his liver. Just then, Roberto handed him back his phone, saying it was for it. Martin looked to the side seeing all three women eying him closely with their phones held to their ears. Martin reluctantly brought the speaker to his own ear, "Hello?" One girl squealed in excitement, the one that named herself off as Lila in the greetings. Martin grinned slightly, his boyish features playing across his face, he couldn't help but enjoy the attention a little bit. The woman's voice came across the table and from the phone, "Hey there stud" Lila giggled and the two other women joined her. Martin just gave a slight chuckle and returned the greeting, "Hey there" He said looking across the table.

The woman blushed and hung up the phone, hiding herself by sipping the drink as the two other girls laughed hysterically. Martin wouldn't admit it right now, but he was enjoying himself. Looking back to Robert he smirked and shuffled the phone back into his pocket, "I guess that the buzzing stopped" He said with a shrug and a large grin. At that moment a waiter passed by and Martin turned and raised an arm, flagging the nicely dressed man down, "Coca Cola please" The man nodded and walked away.

Turning back to the group, Lila and the other women eyes Martin and Martin. "We wanna dance" They pouted, all of their lower lips pressing out. Martin scoffed at the thought, "I doubt any of you, especially Roberto, can even dance when you're this drunk" He folded his arms over his chest and eyes Lila, thinking she could probably move herself pretty well. Martin shook his head at the thought, not wanting to lose himself in the moment.

The women quickly retorted. "What do you mean we can't dance!?" They exclaimed in unison. They got up and grabbed the two men by the collars, pulling them up out of the VIP booth and toward the dance floor. "You haven't seen dancing until you've seen me shake my ass!" One girl exclaimed, the other opening her mouth wide and laughing, "You slut!" Martin was too focused on how close Lila was dragging him to pay attention to the others. Once they were at the dance floor she turned around and pressed her body against his, "Speaking of shaking ass" She said with a seductive smirk, the smell of alcohol rolling off her breath. Lila then turned and started to move with the beat of the loud music, pressing every part of her body against Martin's. He had never been dancing before, and appeared stiff and couldn't really dance well already, but soon, he also started to move with the sounds and Lila, in response, pulled him closer. Martin started to get nervous, the heat of the club, the heat of their bodies, it all started to get to him, but still, his arm, as if acting on it's own, found it's way to her hip and his hand stayed there, guiding her swinging pelvis to the beat as they danced together. Martin slowly started to regain his composure, and even as she got closer and closer, Martin kept his cool, then it happened.

Lila grinned drunkenly and leaned in close, pressing her lips to his, much to Martin's surprise. His eyes went wide and he backed up and was met with a hard wall, or what he assumed was a wall. Lila's face gave another impression. Martin took two steps forward and turned around, seeing a large man. He was at least 6'8 and at least twice as wide as Martin, with rippling muscles and bleach blond hair and a snarl on his face. From behind Martin, he heard Lila exclaim, "Joseph, it's not what it looks like!' Martin turned around to Lila, "Who's Joseph?" She bit her lower lip and pointed to the man he had bumped into, "M-My boyfriend..." Martin sighed and put his hand to his forehead, "Dammit" That was all Martin had time to say before he was picked up by the man behind him and thrown deeper into the crowd.

Roberto couldn't resist flashing a devilish grin when he handed Martin his phone. He watched closely as he answered it, almost as interested as the girls were in finding out which one of them had gotten through. Roberto couldn't stop himself from laughing when Lila squealed in excitement when she realized it was her who had gotten the call through. He watched the conversation closely moving his eyes between Martin and Lila as each of them spoke. Roberto could tell by the look on Martin's face that he was genuinely enjoying what was happening.

It made Roberto happy. He always got somewhat of a kick out of showing his friends, most of whom weren't nearly as fortunate as he was a good time. He found that a lot of the times they needed to be reminded of what a good time felt like, especially after all they'd been through. Roberto tuned out of the conversation for awhile deciding to instead focus on his drink. He did hear Martin order a Coca Cola. "Party Pooper." He commented not even looking away from his own drink, mesmerized by the itty bitty bubbles the champagne in his glass had.

Before he knew it. Roberto found himself being dragged onto the dance floor. He tried to resist, but he was really too inebriated to put up much of an argument. "I can't dance because...feet." was all he managed to say during Martin's conversation with the girls. The next thing he knew he was in the middle of the dance floor next to Martin with two girls dancing on him. Roberto, wasn't the best dancer, but he knew it didn't matter. He just moved to the beat of the music, and tried his best to stay on his feet.

The whole time Roberto kept an eye on Martin, the guy seemed nervous at first. But soon enough he seemed to be enjoying himself. He smiled when he saw him get a kiss, but the smile quickly turned into a frown when he say what had happened next. Out of nowhere a huge bear of a man appeared, Roberto was unable to hear what was said over the music, but before he knew it the large man had picked Martin up and thrown him deeper in to the crowd.

"Fuck, there goes the night....excuse me ladies," Robert said squeezing from in between the two girls, and making his way over to the gorilla man who had just thrown his friend like a rag doll. Roberto was intoxicated, but he wasn't stupid. He knew that using his powers was not the best idea, especially with all that was going on...he was pretty sure that if he used his abilities a riot, or something equally as terrible would've happened. That didn't mean he was going to let the big hulk of a man get away with just throwing his friend around like that.

He had invited Martin out so that he could have a good time. Not get beat up by some muscle head...for no reason. "Hey!" Roberto said as he made his way over to the man...everyone by then had backed away from the guy after all he was quite big. The man didn't acknowledge him though, as he was too busy arguing with Lila, the woman who was responsible for the whole ordeal in the first place. "That was my friend ass!" Roberto said not the lest bit happy about the night having been ruined.

"Oh yeah and what are you go-" Roberto didn't even let the man finish before striking him in the throat, a move he had learned from Logan as a teenager. It didn't matter how big a person was...if you hit them in the throat hard enough they were going to go down. And this guy was no exception..he gasped for air, and fell to his knees. Roberto could hear the collective gasp from everyone obviously surprised that Roberto who was half the man's size was able to put him down with one well placed blow. "Marty you okay buddy?" Roberto asked looking around for his friend. "I think it's time we uh, got outta here." Roberto said out loud looking around, and not liking the looks he was getting.

Martin had hit the floor hard, skidding back a good five feet before crashing into the side of the bar. Groaning loudly, he stood up and hit his head on the underside of the bar. Clenching the spot tightly he moaned, "God dammit.." He said quietly as he finally got a look at what happened over where he was thrown from. People had cleared the path that he had traversed and it had given him the perfect view. Robert struck out at the man's neck, socking him straight in the throat, downing him within seconds.

"I think it's time we uh, got outta here." Robert rang out, to which Martin waved a hand as he rose from the ground. "Over here Bert" Martin shouted over the music that was still going. Martin walked over, hold his head as it began to throb. Reaching the group of girls and Roberto, all whom stood in the center of the circle over the large man's body, Martin looked over to Lila, who shyly shuffled her foot from side to side. It seemed the situation had sobered most of them up, though he didn't know it that was possible for his friend.

Two of the three girls, excluding Lila, spoke up and touched Martin's head. "Are you okay?" They asked in unison, missing the third voice of Lila's. "yeah...yeah I'm fine" He said pushing their hands away with his free hand. Martin rubbed the throb gently, knowing that it wouldn't make it go away, but hoping it would anyway.

He looked down at the man who was face down on the ground. Shaking his head, Martin nudged the man with his foot, a slight groan escaping from the man's lips. Martin let out a sigh and leaned down, attempting to pull the man up with no success. "Shit...how much do you weigh?" He exclaimed before getting help from another man in the crowd. Lifting the large man, they set him up against a nearby pillar and let him fall limp again. Martin rose again from his hunched form as he was joined by the four other in his original group. "Well, that about concludes my night" Martin said as he turned to face them.

Lila went to speak up, but Martin cut her off. "I think you had the right plan there Berto, let's bounce" and he turned heel, walking away from the man on the ground and the group of girls.

Roberto heard Martin from the middle of the crowd. The guy threw him pretty far, had Martin not been a friend of his he actually might've been impressed by the distance the man manage to throw him. Ever the gentlemen Martin made his way through the crowd, and proceeded to help the man to his feet. Roberto couldn't resist chuckling a bit as he watched the skinny Martin attempt to lift the much bigger man to his feet. He didn't bother to help being too entertained at watching Martin struggle with it.

A random bystander obviously was a bit more inclined than he was and helped Martin out, and they managed to set the man down on a stool, still being pretty out of it. The girls checked to see if Martin was okay, which he seemed to be. Martin then seemed to be ready to leave, Roberto wasn't one to disagree they had caused a bit of a scene. And that was the last thing they needed especially with all they were going through at the time.

Last thing I need is to be arrested on top of all the other bullshit I'm dealing with. Roberto thought to himself before putting his arm around Martin and making his way towards the exit. Before leaving he looked back at the girls. "Call him I think he likes you!" He said to all of them with a wink before making his exit. "Well that was fun eh?" Roberto said to Martin as they got outside. "Did you see how I put that guy down I was like wah cha!" Roberto said miming the punch he had hit the large man with just moments before. "I totally like Jean Claude Van Dammed the guy." Roberto said with a drunken confident smirk. "You sure your alright guy threw you pretty hard." Roberto asked wanting to make sure Martin was okay before poking fun at him. "He threw you like a rag doll." Roberto commented not really waiting for an answer...he seemed to be okay anyway.

After their goodbyes, Martin made his way out with Roberto. The crowd that had encompassed them cleared a path toward the door, most likely due to a new found fear of his friend. Reaching the outside, the large line of people Martin had come in from had wound down to no more then ten or so people, gathered near the door. Pushing past a few drunks, Martin guided Roberto from the club out onto the sidewalk.

Honestly, Martin had had fun up until he had gotten throw halfway across a club dance floor. He almost felt guilty about dancing with Lila, he had met a German girl named Aislinn a couple of days before and he had been thinking of her quite often, but he still was kind of let down now that he was going home with a drunken friend rather then a pretty lady. As Roberto made hitting motions at the air, Martin shook his head and continued to walk down the street, rubbing his head as his friend ask if he was okay. "Yeah," He said, "I'm fine, just a little sore".

Taking his hand from his head, he gently pushed Robert, "What about you? I'm surprised you're still standing" Martin said with a chuckle. He actually was. The fact that one man could hold that much liquor and still carry on a conversation was very unusual to him, but then again, he never was a drinker. But it still concerned him, why was Berto drinking this much? He knew he drank more the socially, but this seemed overboard. It worried Marty, who figured he was trying to drown his mind with enough booze to make him forget, something he heard Roberto was prone too. Martin didn't even know how the hell he had gotten to the club, and why he had gone alone. The red flags started popping up for Martin. Listening carefully, Marty waited to see what Spot would come up with in terms of walking home talk, and he would wait to confront him about the suspicions until they were in a safe place, closer to his building.

"Being able to drink like a fish is like a secondary mutation of mine." Roberto said with a chuckle. Roberto had had somewhat of a drinking problem for awhile....it wasn't really something someone could really notice because of how much money he had, which made the common signs of someone with a problem like spending all their money, and getting DUI's really hard to notice. Roberto was worth billions of dollars, he couldn't spend all of his money on booze if he tried, and his wealth also allowed him to pay to be driven around to avoid DUIs.

All that coupled with him being pretty good at holding his liquor made his drinking problem kind of hard to notice for people who weren't really paying attention. And most people didn't they knew better...Roberto didn't do well with lectures. In fact there was really only a handful of people who could lecture him, and not get blown off completely. "If you eat your green vegetables one day you might be able to drink like me." Roberto said walking next to Marty not entirely sure where they were doing. Not that he particularly cared.

"I don't know about you, but I'm hungry enough to eat a-a I don't know, but I'm freaking hungry." Roberto said stopping at a street vendor, and buying himself a hotdog. "You know if there is one thing I love about this city...is that it never sleeps. Even at like four in the morning there's some guy on the street selling hotdogs!" Roberto said with a smile, as he paid for his hot dog and took an almost super human bite out of it. "You want anything?" He asked more than willing to pay for Martin to get something to eat if he wanted anything. "When they say this city is the city that never sleeps...they aren't kidding." Roberto said with a drunken chuckle.

"So, I think that girl in there liked you...you gonna call her again?" Roberto asked. "You don't gotta date her or anything, but you can totally boink her to stick it to that asshole who threw you!" Roberto said with a sinister smile. To him there was no better pay back then having sex with the guy's girlfriend after he'd embarrassed you in front of a club full of people. "And you should do it nice and rough too, like really hate fuck her to stick it to him!" Roberto said his current drunken state making him a bit more vulgar than usual.

Martin let Robert's multiple rants take place as he walked beside him. While Berto went into tangents of green vegetables and being a fish, Martin looked to the sky, gazing upward to see the feint traces of scars. That's one thing he liked from back home, you could see the stars, the world seemed..bigger. Truth be told, he wishes it was, maybe the Mutants could just have a place of their own, live in peace with each other, and the humans could live out their existence somewhere else. But he knew it wouldn't work. Too many people with too many agendas.

Robert had stumbled over to a hot dog vendor and purchased his food, taking a large bite and then offering to get Marty his own. He declined by simply putting a hand up to the air in front of him and shaking his head, his boyish grin flashing toward Spot and the vendor. It was all a mechanized movement, he didn't have to think of it, it just happened because he was used to being stuck in his own mind, especially after Tomas' passing.

As they continued on, Martin rested his hand together on the back of his head, looking up as they walked and watching the sky. He listened closely to what Berto was saying, wondering if he'd even remember it in the morning. He brought up Lila and Martin scoffed at the thought.

"No, I won't be calling her, nor will I be "boinking" her" He said taking his arms from their upright position, "I'm not that type of guy Robert" He said solemnly. Thoughts of Tomas usually drowned his mood quickly, and this wasn't any different. With a sigh, he continued, "Besides, I kinda met someone a couple days ago, and if I known the night would have gone like it did, I wouldn't have come'

Martin had the hopeless romantic mindset in certain situation. A girl and him had shared a date and he felt doing anything else with any other female to be taboo. A stupid thought, but his nonetheless. It wasn't like he meant to have it, it was just there, in his mind.

Trying to move the conversation on, away from the fact that he'd met a potential "someone", Martin looked to Sunspot and gave a concerned look. "You know, if you hadn't said that your second mutation was drinking like a fish, I'd be concerned" He tried to start off lightly, not wanting to sound like a parent, "But, I wanted to know something.." He said as he stopped and faced Sunspot, "Are you okay?"

The solar powered mutant, only shrugged when Martin turned down the hotdog he was going to buy him. He watched him stare at the sky with a raised brow, as he ate his hotdog. When Martin snapped out of his daze, and finally answered him. He had to force himself not to roll his eyes. Martin was one of those hopeless romantic types that made him sick to his stomach. Roberto didn't understand romantic types....in fact part of him hated them. Partially because he was jealous of them...Roberto wasn't one for being in touch with his emotions...which tended to really stunt his romantic relationship potential.

It was partially due to how he was raised. His father was somewhat of a cold businessman who had long ago taught him that showing emotions was a sign of weakness. And due to the fact that he quite literally worshiped his father he took those words to heart, and made it a point to keep his emotional attachments to people as brief as possible. "Oh, well that's good...I guess." Roberto said in response to Martin saying he had met a girl and that was why he wasn't willing to hook up, with the very hot, and obviously very willing woman who had been almost literally throwing herself at him just moments before. He voice clearly showed that he thought Martin was silly, for being such a romantic, but he didn't really press the issue. If that was how Martin was, then so be it....more hot chicks for him.

"Have fun with that." He added the sarcasm in his voice just barely noticeable...or so he thought. He frowned when Martin mentioned how if he hadn't said being able to drink excessively was a power of his he'd be worried. "Martin, you don't ever have to worry about me. You gotta plenty of real stuff to be concerned about...I'm a big boy so believe me when I say, I can take care of myself." Roberto said finishing up his hotdog, before crumpling up the paper in his fist. He then increased the heat in his fist to such a high level that the paper was incinerated. He let the ashes fall to the floor, before dusting off the remaining ashes. The little display of power was meant to only reiterate to Martin about his ability to take care of himself, obviously the solar powered mutant hadn't realized that him being able to defend himself from attack was not was Martin was talking about.

Martin then asked him if he was alright, and although he was trying his best to not sound like a parent, that was exactly how Roberto took it. "Yeah, I'm fine mom. Are you okay? Because no offense you're sounding like kind of a wuss right now." Roberto said his intoxicated state causing him to be a bit more insensitive than usual. "Maybe you shouldn't have come out tonight...you're starting to be a real buzz kill." He added with yawn before stretching. "I have enough party poopers in my life." He added casually.

The girl. Martin had only ever wanted to find "the girl". It was the American Dream, was it not? Find love, buy a house, start a family. It was one of those things you never truly thought about until you realized you'd most likely never have it. That's what the recent events did to Martin, and if he let his mind wander off into a fantasy that any girl he met could be "the girl", then dammit, he should be able too.

That was the counter he had prepared for what he assumed would be his friend's response and retaliation. Much to the mutant's surprise, Roberto simply shrugged and continued the conversation.

It was almost a disappointment to Martin. Being the hopeless romantic he was, he liked defending his emotions, but at the same time felt foolish. Funny what the idea of love can do to a man so willing to give his heart out. But the truth was, Martin was far from ready to let anybody in, and it was the fashion and sudden spark from the girl he'd met that caused him to recess into this odd version of the man he was. How silly was it to think of such things after a date? Was it truly silly at all?

Spot stopped with him when Martin stopped and finished up the last bit of his hotdog, incinerating it in his palm as a stunt to show off. Martin was almost disgusted by the action. If anything the recent months had taught him that no matter how strong a power you had, the world could still affect you. Thoughts that Martin didn't want to come up started surfacing, images of fires, his mother, his brother, the Mansion, all spiraling into his line of sight as Spot's wrapper burned up in his hand. Plenty of real stuff? The phrase didn't fit in his mouth right, tasted salty upon his tongue as he furrowed his brow back at Spot.

It was a mistake for Martin to get lost in his thoughts, because it let all his guard down and allowed him to be surprised by the next string of words to come from Bert's mouth. They weren't very harsh words, but they were enough.

As thoughts strung along his mind, Martin's eyes closed in hopes that the damned images would disappear. He knew his friend was drunk, but Martin wasn't in the right mindset to take such words. It was only three words, so simple, so gentle and elegant, "are you okay?".

He wasn't. Martin hadn't been since the night he watched his brother get murdered. He hadn't been okay since the Mansion blew up. It seemed like no matter how hard he tried to act normal, the rug was pulled from beneath him every time, and these thoughts released at the perfect time so they would have the most affect. This was one such moment. Martin didn't know why, or how, but he simply slumped against the wall they had neared as they walked. He looked down at his own palm that had flattened against it as he lay against it, it was filthy, but he didn't care. What was he doing? Was he okay? No, he wasn't okay at all.

Looking up from his palm, the feint trail of a tear dried against his defined cheek. "That's the thing, man, I'm not okay" He began, his voice choppy from the lump that had seemed to appear in his throat, "You know, I feel so overwhelmed, I try not to think about it, but it's like, what am I even doing here, with you?" He paused to look up, sniffling through his nose and then looking back to Sunspot, "What is a guy like me doing with the X-Men?...I don't even know what that means." He took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. Martin knew this wouldn't go over with an intoxicated Robert, but he just needed to vent. "So no, I'm not okay, and it doesn't take an expert to see that you're not either Robert" Martin didn't use the words carefully, almost calling Spot out. He stood from the wall and shoved his hands in his pockets, "You know, you just pretend like this shit doesn't affect you, like you're some super-superhero. You can't tell me you didn't lose someone in that explosion, you can't tell me you didn't feel your heart drop, because I felt it, and I was there for, what? Maybe a month? You can't just pretend like that shit didn't happen, because it did, and the sooner you accept that you couldn't have done jack to prevent it, the sooner you can start mending those wounds. I tried!" He exclaimed, pulling his hands from his pockets and making motions that accompanied his words, "I tried to get over watching my brother, my twin fucking brother, burn alive for what he was born as, and you'd rather sit in a club, with a table full of hussies, drinking to forget, then actually face what had not only been put in front of you, but all your friends too. So don't call me that "party pooper" bullshit, Robert, and answer my question, are you okay?"

Martin's chest heaved as he held back tears escaping from his eyes. He didn't know why he was set off, but he had never talked like that, not in a long time at least. Should he feel bad for what he said? He had been thinking it, so was it not right for his opinion to come out? Martin knew if could potentially be dangerous to set Sunspot off, he could easily fry Martin if he chose, but what had just came out of his mouth seem misplaced, out of order, like it should have been said a month ago, to anyone who would have listened. But Martin had tried to bottle it up, and those three simple words set him off into a tangent that he didn't know would lead too.

His chest calming, the shirt he wore settling back on his chest properly. Martin's tense stance relaxed as his mouth stood agape. "Robert...I'm so--" He couldn't finish his sentence, he didn't know what to say.

Just because Roberto didn't understand romantics...didn't mean he felt the need to argue with them. Roberto wasn't one to judge anyone, he lived his life by a fairly simply philosophy. 'Do whatever it is that makes you happy, as long as you don't hurt anyone'. He didn't care if Martin thought he was in love, that was good for him. He wasn't naive enough to believe him, but that didn't mean he needed to go out of his way to convince the younger man that he wasn't in love. He wasn't that big of an asshole, plus with all the shit they'd gone through who was Roberto to try and crush the mans dreams?

When Roberto had asked Martin if he was okay he had been speaking sarcastically and didn't really expect an answer. He couldn't stop himself from frowning when it became clear that he was going to get one. Part of him wanted to chime in and tell him that the question was rhetorical before Martin even started speaking. But he could tell just by the look on Martin's face that he needed to get it out, and whether he liked it or not he was going to say what he was going to say. So, Roberto sighed and waited for what was about to come.

For a second, Martin was quiet the level of quiet that gave Roberto the creeps. It was no secret that Roberto was no big fan of uncomfortable silences. But when Martin finally did start talking, Roberto quickly found himself preferring the quiet. Roberto's face clearly showed that he was not comfortable with the conversation, but he listened to what Martin had to say none the less. His eyebrows furrowed with slight irritation when Martin called him out on his hang ups, and at the end of his rant. Martin had asked him once again if he was okay.

For a few seconds Roberto didn't say anything...he was too angry. He had went out that night to avoid facing the emotions that Martin were not attempting to force down his throat. "What! What do you want me to do? What do you want me to say?" He spat frustrated with the younger man. "That I'm sad...that I don't know what to do with myself?" Roberto said throwing up his arms as well. "You're overwhelmed? Well, let me tell you this buddy, you better get whelmed fast." He spat the irritation pretty clear in his voice. "Because this is IT!" Roberto said holding his arms out, to represent what being an X-Men meant. "This is what being an X-Men means...me means a lot of fucking heartache...and a lot of dead friends...all because you want to do what's right!" Roberto stated a matter of factly.

"So, yeah I'd rather sit in a bar and drink with pretty girls. Why? Because it beats sitting around crying, about shit you can't change!" Roberto said feeling as if Martin was looking down on him for how he chose to deal with his grief. "You think it's tough for you! You've been doing this for what a few months? Talk to me in ten years." Roberto spat. "You wanna be and X-Man? Well, you better strengthen your resolve buddy, because there's going to be whole lot more of this in the future." Roberto said holding back tears of his own. "It sucks, but it's the hand we've been dealt...get used to it. Excuse me for trying to help take your mind off of it." He added with a frown. "I'm sorry Martin, but if you want someone to stand here, and cry with you...you've got the wrong guy...I'm all cried out...I don't have anymore tears." Roberto said refusing to let himself tear up despite the fact that the painful feeling he had in the back of his throat which let him know that crying was exactly what his body wanted to do.
