Callisto
Unregistered

The man at the gates stuttered and stammered. "They're a ways back, they came up outta nowhere on the subway tracks, one of 'em literally just punched the train to a stop, the big one wit' the shell!"

He coughed and huffed.

"But they sent me here, ta tell you you got ten minutes afore they ex everyone out. You gotta help 'em, man!"

In the chamber, the one that the brother posing as the mutant Bulwark had been digging, she looked around to everyone. They were all of them hidden, out of site, tied to the thing stone pillars holding the whole damn place up. Callisto sat on a large flat stone in the middle, downing that cheap beer she'd grown so very fond of over the past year. Sril'rt, the creature inside, was drunk, feisty, and ready to go. What had been taking them so long?

She stood up, looking to her brothers and sisters. "Fuuuck let's get this show on the road huh? Good fuckin' grief."

she whipped the empty bottle off into the dark, where she heard it shatter like a thousand bolts of lightning thundering through her head.

She wanted blood. But more specifically, she wanted that blonde-haired, blue eyed fucker's blood. All up on her. In and around her mouth. Cannibalism wasn't particularly popular, even on Skrullos, but then Sril'rt had never been particularly popular either. It was only fair though, eating what you killed, and it was hardly worth life on a rock quarry, which was what it had earned her back then.

But then the war began. Nobody wanted the seedier parts of the world. Nobody thought it was honorable. But she did, and when they plucked her it of prison she'd never been happier.

So what if she died, Sril'rt though as the sound of footfalls, she'd be bringing company with her.

Her thoughts went to the streets above that she was soon to make the streets below.

A lot of company.

What had happened in the sewers? The past few weeks, the tunnels had degenerated into madness, completely spiraling out of control. The spider had gotten worried and being the second in command it was something that was a whole lot worse. Even though with him having that responsiblity, he knew almost nothing about what was going on. He was away in another part of the tunnels during the incident with Sonny and his mother. Anansi was sad to hear that Tammy had died, he had known her well and was a good friend to Sonny. Hearing the description of the creature he became was a huge shock to the spider. He knew he was monstrous in appearance just not in entirety.

The situation was made worse with the fact that Skids and Plastic had left the tunnels. The cold, damp brick seemed to enclose about them as the group of mutants sat each to their own thoughts. Anansi, actually was sitting on the edge of his alcove playing his guitar in one set of hands and reading a book in the other. He could feel the tension in the air, a powderkeg waiting to be light. The soft sound bounced off the walls and echoed throughout the chamber.

"Guys! Come quick! Havok's brought SHIELD down to the tunnels! They're gonna nab Callisto and the others,"

"And there is the light to the powder keg," he said to himself as he watched the other mutants jump up and into action. Putting aside the book and guitar, he grabbed his kukri's and a few of his other knives. Sticking to the wall he quickly crawled along until he came into view of Eldan. Dropping down beside him he followed him along. "I swore I would break those SHIELD bastards necks if they showed up being hostile again, I'm with you," he said pulling his kukris to his middle set of hands and he matched Eldans long strides as they headed down the tunnel.

Light-Based Daggers and Projection/Detoxification
Arriving shortly after Alex, Tandy had ran up and taken a knee beside the X-factor leader, looking down at the man who was on the ground. Alex had a few questions and when he asked for a water bottle, Tandy handed her's over without a thought. She had just opened it and only taken one drink and it was her experience that in times like these, people didn't care who they drank after. As Morph and Alex spoke to the mystery man, Tandy looked back towards the gate that he had just been banging on, listening to what he was saying.

"Ex them out?" she repeated quietly, still looking towards the doors. Dagger turned around and walked back over to where Alex was, looking down at him and the stranger. In a way, she was excited by this news. She had not been a part of anything large as some of these folks had and she was eager to prove that she wasn't just some stupid blond that could light places up while getting in the way. On the other hand, it was a frightening thought to know that a fight was about to go down, and it was one that could leave her or others injured or worse. Fear usually instigated a "fight or fight" response in most people and for Tandy Bowen, someone who had spent plenty of time as a vigilante, she wanted to fight.

"We'll see about that," Tandy said, her usually cheerful voice taking on a bit of a darker tone, possibly due to Daredevil's influences. She had always looked up to DD. It shouldn't be that big of a surprise that she tried to copy his style at least a little bit. Unfortunately, she often found herself to not be quite as prepared as Daredevil. She was still wearing the dusty clothes that she had been working in instead of her white uniform, but let's face it, a hero didn't always have time to change.

The light that seemed to be etched into her face began to glow and Dagger raised a fist up, cracking her knuckles against the other palm. If it was a fight the Morlocks were looking for, she would be glad to deliver. She wasn't very familiar with who they were and what they were capable of, but hey... that would work in her favor as well. Still, she stood fast, waiting on Alex's order.

Plague
Pathogenic Control
While her host and the other taken ones might have counted down their days until release, Karza and her brethren had been anticipating until this moment. Chaos and war, the absolute promise of blood, death, an end. Change. Change for the better against these pathetic excuses for air bags. They deserved not to inherit this planet and she could hardly wait to begin to lay waste to the mutant kind, the human kind; all and everything.

Sril'rt had dibs on another, but Karza desired to take out Ink. Crude and annoying, he had grated her nerves from the very first day. His pretty skin would make for lovely decor, the colorful tattoos a fitting display on her wall. Perhaps even a rug of sorts, so that every day she walked over it, she could remember in bliss the moment she snuffed the light from his eyes, the moment she bathed in his blood, the moment she tore skin from muscle and bone. And should the unfortunate happen and the Plague woman actually live to see the aftermath, then his death would be one to hurt the most. Karza wanted these pukes to suffer and agonize over their regrets and losses.

She would continue with the masquerade until the choice moment presented itself, though she set out as her sister had commanded. She noted the direction in which a majority of the Morlocks slipped off towards and kept up a face of determination to take up arms against the ones known as Hunters, when in actuality, she was hunting someone of her own.

She was having fun... the anticipation was almost enough to make her salivate. The Skrull woman known as Na'Xjen drifted about, stretching as they waited for their targets to close in, biting her lower lip. Unlike the feeble, instinctual primate she had replaced, she wasn't ruled by the emotions that flooded her mind.

Children of Skrullos were not slaves to their emotions.

It did make for an interesting addition to her arsenal. Being able to sense the emotions of others in such a large radius made her so much more aware of her surroundings, and how to use them. She was enjoying the flood of fear and apprehension that flooded the chamber.

So weak... so scared... Pathetic.

But, she still had her part to play. She floated about, giggling and smiling at the apes as she twisted in the air in her new form. It wasn't all that different from her own natural form, but still, this was a play, and she, an actress. She had to keep playing her part and fool the fools.

It was why she was chosen to mimic the one she had replaced. A similar, if not completely identical mindset to the one who had become too large a threat to their queen's plans. People like her were generally put to death once their minds had broken. But as luck would have it, they had a use even for the mad at this stage of the invasion.

Dead... dead... they're all dead... they just don't know it yet...

Perched high above the other Skrull in the room, Borden remained completely motionless as he listened to the restlessness growing among the ranks below him. The body he had chosen worked very nicely for him, though how the real Roadkill managed without the use of eyesight was a little unsettling. His golden eyes peered down from the shadows above; grinning wickedly as Sril’rt impatiently made the proclamation that it was time to get the attack started.

With an impressive leap, he landed on a drainpipe and then fell silently to the ground in step with the others. Heightened senses relayed to him the panicked fear that was coming from down the tunnel in fretful whispers and frantic motion.

The Morlocks and X-Factor were successfully being herded together to an inevitable confrontation. Borden had to admit the brilliance of the plan. He wasn’t particularly averted to an open and direct skirmish, and he was sure that there would be plenty of that to be had, but the sheer orchestration here was magnificent.

Stepping next to Karza, he looked over at her, a lusty smile crossing over his lips as he stood next to his lover. “There will be plenty of blood,” he said to her in anticipation of her thoughts. He knew how she had a certain penchant for violence and suffering. “You chose your form wisely. It will be interesting to see just how much pain we can bring to these foolish creatures before their extinction.”

Pausing only for a moment in the hallway he tilted her face up to his with a sharp clawed finger and pressed a kiss onto her lips. With a sadistic smile, he stepped back into line, closing the distance to the final showdown.

Humberto refused to believe that this bumbling man was talking about the Morlocks. They may be led by a mad woman, but they never sought out to cause others harm without a damn good reason. They kept to themselves, stayed out of trouble as much as possible. This was a wild accusation. It had to be. Or maybe it was all fear. “This isn’t right. They would never do what this man claims.” He did look like someone had taken a few shots at him and was scared and panicked.

Why would the Morlocks suddenly attack people and send him down here as a messenger? It was all too strange for Humberto’s liking. That Callisto… that woman was out of her mind completely. This was all her doing. His brothers and sisters had nothing to do with it, at least not willingly.

They were scared of the woman that much he could see by their past actions. This was the type of thing that one would expect from the gelatinous being and the bone woman that used to run with the group long before he joined. They were extremists; Morlocks as a whole were not. Humberto snarled. “Callisto needs to be stopped. This is all on her. She’s manipulated the weakest of the group through intimidation. She’s done it before, but this time is the last. We need to show them that Callisto is nothing to be feared.”

Humberto gradually shifted into his more reptilian appearance. He was pissed off, but thankfully still in control of the feral nature. That one eyed maniac needed to be put down. “She is nothing more than a rabid dog that needs to be put down.” Humberto did not like fighting his own kind, but this was an exception. He was no leader and his words did not carry the same weight as Alex’s, but he did not want the other Morlocks to be injured because they were too afraid to tell their leader no.

Well so far all they'd done was stand around this putz on the floor while he babbled about a mass-murder in progress. She eschewed her hood, that was for keeping low-pro up top and down here, well, her fox-keen eyes were all the better without something slipped over them. Looking down at the guy, then back to X-Factor and finally focusing on Alex she shot her hands down to her gunhandles and nodded to the guy on the ground before looking to the exit, hoisting him to his feet.

"Well? Don't feckin' just stand there like a bodgy old tit, take us to 'em."

Foxx hoisted the man to his feet. "You can drink later."

She looked to the rest of them with a shrug before giving the guy a gentle push in the right direction. "Come on ya idiot, run!"

They didn't have time to waste really. It was hero time.

Saving humans? She mentally ticked another item off of her "new to me" list as she gave a glare to the man, who just stood stupidly.

"Y-you're not gonna make me go back there, are you?" He murmured. "That lady's crazy."

"Ey, fucko. Grow a spine. You're goin' back. I been around a block enough to know that if this is a setup is smarter to keep you around us."

She pulled a gun. "Of course we could leave ya here, but I sure ain't leavin' you able to walk around while we're gone."

It might have been a bluff. Might have.

"So take us. You ain't gotta fight, just lead us to the fightin, square?"

The gun seemed to do much of the talking most of them hadn't. Tandy was ready, Berto was ready. It was time to go save lives, human or otherwise.

"The hell ya waitin' for? GO!" She said, pulling the hammer back on her pistol.

He took off.

She followed.

Tourmaline
Unregistered

What with Ink's brashness and Anansi's thoughtless warmongering, Tourmaline felt as though he were running toward absolute disaster. They all followed Sticker, who was no great thinker himself (and not to mention untrustworthy), into a potentially dangerous and damning situation, without the slightest glimmer of factual information. The whole affair was puerile as best, but Sullivan's calls to use logic were unheeded (as usual). This was aggravating, of course, but his impassive demeanor remained unwrinkled. If they wouldn't listen to reason, then so be it, whatever happened was on their own heads.

As the small group darted down tunnels and passageways, he decided that he would not do anything to further incriminate or inconvenience the Morlocks who decided to stay behind. Someone should be there to gather intel and maybe slow down any threatening aggressors, should it come to that. He would merely cataloged the scene and discern the best plan for himself, and it was no skin off his teeth should the others decided to behave foolishly. Protecting the majority was his only concern.

"And what were you guys doing, Sticker, to provoke this incident?" He asked, his voice showing no signs of exertion from their mad dash. "X-Factor simply became weary of your presence and called SHIELD to do their dirty work?" Tourmaline didn't know these people, but from his brief dealings with them, they all seemed to be perfectly sensible. Callisto and her minos were the only instigators stirring up ire against their neighbors, and Sully simply trusted her and took her word for granted...but he wouldn't make that mistake again. "That doesn't seem very advantageous; I was under the impression that their affiliation with the division was severed. Are they or are they not operating 'off the grid'? If so, calling SHIELD hardly seems appropriate."

His string of accusatory questions died when they reached the lip of a large open chamber. They were greeted by the jarring echo of something - a bottle most likely - shattering in the distance. Aside from the crash, however, all seemed still. Tourmaline expected to see a swarm of SHIELD agents locked in battle with Callisto's sinking ship, but there was no Kevlar in sight.

"Sticker...what are you playing at?"
