Dead Girl

Even with the creature's last words as an imposter, the Dead Girl was not swayed. She knew the truth, no matter what the living being in front of her would ever say. The dead had spoke, and they were rarely wrong, or liars. Was her actions really so shocking? Did they truly not expect her to react as she had?

As they fell the imposter reverted back to his true form, an evil, dark smile spread across her face. After they smacked into the ground she leaned in a little bit closer to his face, taking in every second of his fleeting life. All by her hands. He spoke. Saying that when they arrived, they'd end her as if she had never been. She kept her smirk as the creature before her laughed and eventually passed.

"Hmm..." She felt herself growing more weak. Raising Hartley, The Sergeant, and the other three, as well as using her strength to tackle the imposter through the window took a lot out of her. "She leaned back, releasing the creature, feeling the bones in her arms move. "Maybe... but I'll die with a smile on my face knowing my friend was avenged."

The creature was long dead and could not hear her. She stood up and looked to the side, seeing her friend. She spoke, saying her thanks. "For you, Hartley... Anytime." She watched as her friend looked to the Sergeant. She couldn't help but smile at the short interaction, but her strength couldn't handle keeping them visible for long.

After a short visual interaction the blue tinted corpse sighed and the two, as well as the three that scattered from above had disappeared from all sight. But she could still hear them. The Dead Girl could always hear them. She moved towards the wall and leaned against it for a few moments before sitting down.

The Sergeant finished the introduction, "Ms. Lindwall... It is a pleasure to finally meet you. Sorry it's under these circumstances." Moonbeam looked at the green scaled corpse. "He wasn't entirely wrong..." She could almost hear the skeptism in the Sergeant's voice as he replied, "What the hell are you talking about, Moonbeam?"

She smiled and replied, "When it comes to vengeance of the dead... I am Judge, Jury, and Executioner." That was what she did before entering into X-Corps. It was still her job, in her mind. She could feel the bones mend together sitting against the wall staring at the dead body of Hartley's murderer, and softly replied, "I could look at this all day."

The soothing echo of her voice reflected her relaxing state. Moonbeam was sated.
