Even as the words were coming out he knew it was way over the top. Unfortunately he couldn’t have stopped it if he tried. As he stood there and stared into the inhuman face in front of him, and listened to her talking about Alix, and the other people that he cared deeply about as if they were cattle or some sort of irrelevant merchandise…he realized something. He had never wanted to kill anyone quite as much as he did right now. Monet’s condescending voice of reason broke through the rage. "Jamie, darling, you remember we need to keep this grotesque ogre alive for now, right. She's only goading you. You can-" The sudden thunderous crash from the other room interrupted her sentiment. Jamie exchanged a glance with his multiples and without a word they hurried out into the other room to see what it was, though somehow he thought he already knew. Before he knew what was happening Guido came barreling into the room, tossed Monet aside with a sledgehammer right hook and tore the binds off of Alix’s hand and feet as if they were made of flimsy thread. From the other room Jamie heard the sounds of a scuffle followed by several loud reports of a gun, but his attention was focused on the Alix impersonator as she slid off the bed with casual violence dancing in those horrible eyes. He balled up his fists and glared at her vehemently as she shifted back into Alix’s form just to mock him. With hints and suggestions that Alix was likely dead followed by the lack of consequence due to his own impending death, Jamie found his resolve breaking. Bishop had taught him a lot of things over the past half year. He prepared himself for the kill. “Funny,” he said. “That your last words are so weak. I would have thought you’d want to have something a little more quotable before you died.” He shrugged as if it didn’t matter, and almost lost his footing when she lunged at him unexpectedly. His training kicked in and Jamie feinted to the side and brought up an elbow that collided solidly into the face of the Alix Skrull. (JP on next post) |

JP between O'Shi and Jamie Inciting Jamie's rage was of course the point of this entire thing-- well, that and the misinformation she'd spoon fed the two of them. The angrier he got, the more cocky he became. She, meanwhile, kept her cool, maintaining her control while he dwindled. Jamie, naturally, just kept talking. It seemed that the skrull version of this human and the human himself both never seemed to shut their mouths and it only served to push her further to end this. His elbow collided with her face and sent her reeling backwards in pain. But like before, it didn't matter. O'Shi was a warrior-- a warrior who despite the absolute mess that her features had become at this point, would not stop. grit and grim already clung to the sticky blood on her face and while he feinted, it didn't matter. This time, she lunged forward again, blade in hand once more as she dove back against him. Jamie turned toward her, avoiding the luxury of feeling good about that last hit no matter how badass it was. He found his footing and fell naturally into a fighting stance while the creature regained her balance. It was a little difficult, fighting in such tight quarters. Monet had a decent enough room for space, but he fleetingly wondered if her room was designed for this much rough-housing. Then again, this was M, and he probably shouldn’t wonder about those sorts of things. He kept his attention focused on her, watching her get a better grip on the blade and anticipating the inevitable next attack. Their eyes locked and over her shoulder Jamie saw shadowy movement in the doorway just as she made her second attack. Keeping his eyes fixed on her; he took hold of her knife arm and used her momentum to throw her against Monet’s dresser violently. It was then that he saw the dupe standing in the doorway with the bloody shoulder. Clutching his shoulder with a grimace, the dupe looked at Jamie. “We got rid of the one in the living room,” he said, glancing over at Monet. “Sorry about your couch. And your carpet. And that coffee table.” Looking back at Jamie his eyes went wide. “Jamie, look out!” It was all a ploy. While Multiple Man seemed to be content with the assumption that he still had the upperhand in the ease of how quickly she was being discarded from her attacks, it was all-- like so many other things-- nothing more than a game. A game that she'd not be loosing. When he turned his back to address the multiple at the door, O'shi smirked. The game was over and there was work to be done. Before so much as a second could pass, she lunged again and threw all of her weight into him unsuspectingly. They crashed to the ground and O'Shi, from her vantage over him, grinned maliciously one final time. "It's surprising, isn't it? How Little it hurts." Her eyes shifted downwards from his eyes to the blade lodged firmly into Jamie's chest. Almost lovingly, she leaned downwards and in words that were unintelligible to anyone else divulged secrets that would never matter to him again. Wide eyes stared back up at her in shocked disbelief as he tried unsuccessfully to take a breath. Gurgling sounds came out of his mouth, followed by a thin trail of blood that streamed from the corner of his lips as he looked up at her in statuesque horror. Darkness was sweeping away the details of the room around him, bringing with it a blanket of cold as his a pool of blood quickly spread around his body. Soon all he could see was a green Alix, still clutching the knife and leaning in to twist the blade cruelly with her words. His eyes grew wider as he listened to her hollow and echoing voice; the words doing more damage than any physical weapon could have ever managed. As his grip on life weakened further Jamie surrendered to the darkness. His eyes stared blankly upward, a look of betrayal frozen in place. The last thought he had was how much it hurt. |

Permission given to move characters from M and Skrullix The Skrull named Phlanz had managed to get his hands on the belt that Monet was wearing that was somehow responsible for inhibiting the telepathic powers that O’Shi wielded. He pulled hard, tearing the accessory and ripping part of Monet’s shirt in the process. She looked at him like she was about to say something bitchy but the muscle bound Skrull flattened a jackhammer punch into her smug little princess face before she had the chance. “The hell does he see in you anyway,” he said in disgust as he turned to watch the battle between O’Shi and that turd Jamie go on. He looked like he was doing so well, and worse…he looked proud of himself as he got a couple of decent hits in on her and avoided getting impaled a few times. But Phlanz grinned, and just then O’Shi showed him what a real warrior was made out of. He laughed out loud as the multiplying fool dropped to the ground with a knife embedded in his chest. “Aw come on now,” he said. “That’s comedy!” But Jamie didn’t laugh. Jamie would never laugh again. O’Shi glanced up at him with triumphant light shining in her golden eyes. “Go back to HQ,” she said as she stood up and ripped her blade free. Red blood spilled out all over the carpet and was growing in a thick shining pool all around Jamie’s motionless body. He just lay there staring in horrified shock up at the ceiling and the multiples all around the room were incapacitated as well. “You know what to do,” she said. Turning from Guido, O’Shi brushed past the frozen dupes and ran out of the building. “Hell yeah I do,” Phlanz said. With that he leaped through the plate glass window and out into the open air. It was a long way down, but he could use a little extra energy. -End Scene |
