May 28th All over New York City battles were being waged between the skrulls and those that saw through the fog that plagued the world. There was no way in Hell Dee would be sitting around doing nothing. Nearly everyone in X-Corp had been affected by the mind control the faux Nemesis was responsible for. The bastard was lucky that he managed to escape before she could get her hand on him. Otherwise he would be at the bottom of the ocean right now. Dee took to the skies as the other mutants flew over the city battling and dispersing some kind of gas. The gas was doing something to the aliens, something that looked quite painful. Whatever has happening to them Dee could appreciate because it meant fewer enemies to face. Skycycles zoomed overhead while taking shots at the opposing forces. Dee raised her hands and unleashed a thick beam of energy that slammed into one of the cycles. She then teleported to the front of one of the machines, grabbing hold of its pilot. She rammed his face into the steering column a couple of times until he fell backwards then tumbled off. It was a long way to the ground. Dee teleported the machine to the roof of an unmanned building where it skipped and hopped across the asphalt until it crashed into an air conditioner unit. While the cycles were an annoying problem, the ships were the main issue. With that in mind, Dee flew higher until she came up beneath one of the fighters. Their guns went to work, but she was faster than they could fire. She flew forward and right into the front half the ships wrapping her arms around it. To the skrulls it probably looked like she was trying to stop its flight path or pluck it from the sky. That wasn’t the case. She had something far better in mind. Slowly, her body began to emanate a pinkish-purple energy causing the ship to react on a molecular level. The molecules that held the front end of the ship to the back began to disintegrate until finally the front end and Venus vanished leaving the backside to free fall to a patch debris field that was caused when another ship had been taken down a couple days earlier. Deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean a portal opened up and out spat the disengaged front along with whoever may have still been inside. A second later, Dee reappeared in the middle of Mutant Town soaking wet. Soon enough her energy began to leak from the suit leaving it in a half deflated state. She needed some time to regain herself after making such a large jump. |
