Reality Warping/ Nice Pashmina
Time: After Spiral's video
Date: April 21st

Since being apprenticed to Doctor Strange, Billy's world was being expanded beyond the scope of even his considerable power. There were beings that laid beyond their world that influenced everything and everyone and he had seen it. The realm that everything and nothing had come from. The raw potential held in the dark dimension that could be used to shape anything he wished with a simple thought, that made the reality warper both scared and curious. He wanted no needed to know more. He had to protect Wanda, his mother and he was the only person truly capable of protecting her from those things that would use her to their benefit. Billy was not discrediting how Pietro had looked after her, or Simon for that matter. But the beings, or gods whatever you wanted to call them, that laid beyond the edges of Earth's dimension were bigger than them, bigger than Billy and Doctor Strange too. But Billy had the advantage that he could understand Wanda, what she saw. The things that she could do and how they influenced her, like he had said to the Doctor that first time in the Dark Dimension. Maybe Wanda had created him to be her anchor, to keep her safe from those things that those around her couldn't understand.

That had been weeks ago and now chaos had returned to the world in the form of the unhinged clone once again. She had made her move against one hero leaving him in a pool of his own blood and then set the human population against those with powers. Billy hadn't known what to do Tommy was at the school, Teddy was at work. He had already checked to make sure they were both alright, the rest of the family he knew were doing their part but there were things he needed to make sure that didn't happen again. His mind was already running to flashbacks of what happened in mutant town the last time those without the X-gene sought to purge his kind from the face of the planet.

The threads of reality bent around Billy as he stepped into the portal that he had created in his home, he wasn't sure if he was going to be returning here anytime soon. Was it safe to? Sure he could do this and that to reality to make it that nobody could find it or get in. But that would be running and hiding doing exactly the opposite of what he wanted to do when he left the school to seek out training from Doctor Strange. He wanted to be a hero, he wanted to do good and to do the good that he knew he was capable of he was going to need help. Not from Doctor Strange, or his uncles. But from the other man that held his mothers heart. He was around her more than he was, he needed to know what to look out for and how to stop it. More importantly Billy wasn't completely confident that he could do this alone. Various strains of worry were filling his mind about whether everyone he cared for would be alright, whether he would have to fight those that did not understand what they were doing for the sake of protecting himself. He needed to be calm and focused but he was struggling to find that point now, which was just how Spiral wanted the heroes to react he assumed.

On the helicarrier, the faintest blue orb of energy rapidly grew into the full size portal that Billy had willed into creation stepping out of it, he was dressed in his uniform. Half-cape and all, he needed to be prepared for anything and he did just break at least several laws teleporting directly into a spy agencies helicarrier without permission. Unsure if Simon was even here the reality warper quickly rattled off in his defense. "I know, I know I shouldn't be here and that I needed to fill out x, y and z forms before even getting on board the Helicarrier. But I didn't have time to wait that long."

Simon had, like everyone else, been dumbfounded by Spiral's video, shocked into almost immobility, like the rest of them. But he was a Shield agent and sort of a superhero who had helped save the world, had traveled through time, and was currently bench pressing close to a ton, which wasn't even making him break a sweat. He was still astonished by the things he could do, the things he was now a part of, the world he had entered, so he wasn't yet old and jaded, but he was also trained. Even without his chemical and magic induced powers, he'd been a Shield agent. They weren't given to panic.

At the moment, the higher ups were in disaster mode, searching out the source of Spiral's signal, analyzing her message, mounting an all out search for Daredevil to determine if it was really him who was murdered bloodily on camera. But the supes and the street level agents were awaiting orders, so he was, in his newly designed uniform, black pants and t-shirt with a red W across the chest that stood for his joking codename 'Wonder Man' and matched the red gloves he wore while he gripped the crossbar of the weights, getting a little exercise in. Not that he needed any. Since awakening with these new abilities, he had found himself feeling stronger, needing less sleep, less food, his body resculpting. It was disconcerting, but it was what it was.

"1004- 1005- 1006- 1007-" he counted as he lifted and lowered the weights as easily as if they were one tenth as much.

As swirl suddenly alerted him, and he set the weights on the stand. Sitting up, he felt his ionic powers activate, blue crackles surrounding him as he prepared himself. God knows what this was about to be.

"I know, I know I shouldn't be here and that I needed to fill out x, y and z forms before even getting on board the Helicarrier. But I didn't have time to wait that long." Billy blurted out as he stepped through the portal, and Simon lowered his hands, powering down.

"Jeez, Billy," Simon said, "You almost got your block knocked off and your mother would have murdered me." He held up his hands to calm the panicking boy down, "Relax, kid, relax..."

"Agent Williams, quantum fluctuations detected in your area. Report." came a voice over the intercom.

Simon tapped the button and said, "All clear, Watch. It's my girlfriend's kid. It's ok."

"Your what?" the watch sputtered, "Simon, this isn't family hour. If Fury gets wind of this..."

"That's why it's our little secret,." Simon said, "Cover for me and I'll get you a bottle of your favorite, ok?"

The watch was silent for a moment, and then he said, "Don't get me my ass handed to me, /Wonder Man"

Simon smirked, "I won't. Williams out." Turning back to the boy, he nodded, "It'll be ok. So what do I owe this pleasure to, Billy?"

Eyes widening as he saw the powered up form of Simon working out, Billy hadn't quite expected to walk in and almost get his head knocked clean off from his shoulders. Granted that was part of Billy's problem a lot of the time, he didn't think but that was a discussion for another time. He was thinking today, but not about his own personal safety. Eyes shrinking back to normal size as Simon held up his hands and told him to chill, which Billy did do. "Sorry. Didn't mean to make you on edge." Which was true, but given the situation in the world right now with Spiral and her crazy video, it was no wonder that Simon reacted the way that he did.

The rooms intercom activated as the helicarrier's security picked up on the quantum fluctuations as a result of Billy's world altering powers led him here. A pang of guilt rose in his chest as he tried not to listen to the conversation that went on over the intercom between Simon and the SHIELD agent on the other end. "Sorry if I got you into any trouble." Offering Simon a slight smile as he calmed back to his usual self. Simon asked what had led to him getting the pleasure of Billy's unexpected company and Billy searched for the words on how to explain all the craziness that he'd learned about during his time with Doc Strange and how Billy was seeing that tie in with Spiral's #KillYourHeroes intentions. "It's about mom." Though quickly realised saying it like that could make Simon worry, if someone appeared out of nowhere and said that to him he'd worry. So quickly raising his hands up. "It's nothing bad, I promise." Hoping that he didn't cause Simon any unintended worry, which wasn't what he was here for.

"It's about this Kill Your Heroes thing. I need your help with mom." Not that he really had to ask, he knew Simon would look after Wanda and in reality Wanda was likely looking after all of them. She was on a whole different level to Billy if you compared their powers. But that still didn't stop him worrying about his mom, especially given everything she had been through. "I've been learning stuff with Doctor Strange, crazy blow your mind kind of stuff." He was thinking how to explain all that he had learned over his time with Doctor Strange so far, "Like there's things out there. Beyond Earth. I'm gonna call them forces. As it's the easiest way to understand them." He was running the risk of getting distracted with trying to explain this stuff. "Anyway, these forces are capable of influencing people like me and Doctor Strange is concerned that Mom is gonna get influenced by them. So I'm learning to make sure that, that can't happen." Shrugging a little, he felt bad talking about Wanda behind her back but he needed to make sure that she was safe. "I'm worried this stuff with Spiral will make Mom do something that will draw her to their attention before we can make sure she's not going to get influenced by them."

Simon smiled, maybe a little indulgently, at Billy's concerns. His connections with the boy and his brother were complicated and confusing, and whether or not Wanda was ever going to attempt to explain it, well... he was going to let that happen when it happened. There was no point in trying to rush the woman... she could be as stubborn as her brother when she wanted to be. But, whatever the situation was, whatever the reasons were... Simon found that he was pretty fond of the twins. They were good kids, a little emotional, the both of them, but they got that from their mom...

... and maybe a bit from their dad.

He reached out a hand, to gently steady the excitable reality warper and said, "Hey, Billy, it's ok. Your mom's a pretty strong lady, she'd have to be right? But look, she has you, you has your brother, she has me, and, let's be honest, don't you think your Uncle Piet will travel to hell and back to punch the devil in the nose if he thought he was messing with your mom. Doc Strange..." He paused for a moment, not wanting to bash the kid's mentor right in front of him and all...

"Look, guys like Dr. Strange, or Nick Fury, or Cyclops, it's like their whole job is to purposely think up the worst case scenarios and prepare for them. So that the rest of us, we don't lose faith or hope or whatever, so that we know for a fact that if we follow orders, we're not in the trouble that we think we are. Spiral... she's a real nutbar, you know, and she can rile the hell up out of people pretty quickly. But panic? Fear? Hiding under the covers? That's what she wants, that's what this Illuminati wants. They want us all to be so scared to stop them that they can just walk on in and take whatever they like. That's not going to happen, because of people like your mom."

He tapped the boy on his chest, remembering to pull his strength back so that he didn't leave any bruises, "And, because of people like you."
