POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: FORCE FIELD GENERATION - Shamrock is able to create a shields, walls, or a field to help protect himself from attacks. He is able to create these force fields from any point on his body allowing him to not only use the fields for defense, but for offense as well. Shamrock also has the ability to "shoot" the force fields from his body, but this is an ability that he has yet to learn. He can make multiple force fields at once but it is based off of how concentrated he is when making the shields.

The force fields can also be changed into different forms, meaning it doesn't always have to be a circle. He can change the fields into various objects such as barriers, columns, cones, cylinders, darts, discs, domes, platforms, rams, ramps, slides and spheres. The field also allows him to be in areas where there are no oxygen, such as space, but he has not been able to actually use the fields this way, so he doesn't know he can do it.

WEAKNESS: Shamrocks shields are not indestructible and they can break. It's not a certain weight or force that will break the shields, but its how much that weight or force hits the shield. A car being thrown at him wouldn't break the shield, but if he's being repeatedly slammed by the car, the shield would give way. the same goes for if he was being shot at by a laser gun or anything else energy based. Creating force fields is a mind stressing thing, and just like anything, too much of it will hurt him. He does need occasional breaks and too much use could kill him. Creating the force fields can also make him vulnerable to other opponents attacks. Especially if he's using the shields to cover someone instead of himself.

He does have limitations on how big and how far his shields can reach. At full strength he could make his shield as large as a football field, or as tall as a two story house. But in the midst of combat these numbers decrease. Making his force fields that bag would also fatigue him much faster than making smaller shields.

PERSONALITY

Shamrock is a young man from Dublin, Ireland, who has plenty of Irish pride. He is always wearing shirts with shamrocks, the Irish flag, or different brands of beer plastered on the front of them. He's a pretty cocky, arrogant guy and it gets him in trouble some times. He shows his cockiness especially when it comes to drinking. And that's when he usually goes over the top and ends up passed out on the street.

He also is a very honest person. Sometimes too honest. He's not afraid to tell people what's on his mind and he often gets into confrontations with people because of it. He really gets in trouble for this when he is drunk. Which brings us to his next trait... Shamrock is an alcoholic. He always has a beer in his hands and he's only seventeen years old. Everyone wonders how he gets a hold of the beer, but one thing you can also know is that he is going to have a cold one in his hand.

Shamrock is quite the ladies man. The first question he asks at any event before "Where are the drinks?" is "Where are the women?" He really isn't afraid to talk to any girl and when he does talk to them he instantly assumes they are going to want to come home with him. When he is drunk he really has no standards and talks to just about anything that looks at him.

HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE

From birth to the age of fourteen, Shamrock lived in Dublin Ireland. He lived his life unknowing of his special powers as well. As he grew up he would notice little signs and hints that he was not a normal human, but they would mostly go unnoticed by him until the Apocalypse came. As a boy Shamrock was what you would call, "the runt" of the family. He was a scrawny kid and the older kids would often pick on him because of it. He was bullied up until he was about 10 years old, until his body had officially had enough.

One day he was being picked on... More like being jumped on. The little fifth grade devils were beating Shamrock up. He was afraid to fight back because he was smaller. All he could do was close his eyes and think, "Go away... Go away... Go away... Go away..." Until finally, they went away. As the kids ran away they were screaming, some even sat and stared in fear at him. He had no idea what happened but he had just used his power for the very first time. As the kids were punching him the force fields in his body were building up. The thought of pushing the kids away from him were making his powers grow inside of him. He kept thinking "Go away" until finally the force fields release from his body, pushing the kids surrounding him on the ground. The kids, obviously scared, took off running, leaving Shamrock on the ground confused.

After that moment in his life, things started to turn around for him. As he entered middle school, he entered puberty. And lucky for Shamrock, puberty was good to him, and girls in the school started catching feelings for him. It was these years that turned Shamrock into the cocky and arrogant boy that he is today. The tables had turned in life and things finally seemed to be going good. His three years of middle school had gone by smooth and he was ready to enter high school. But little did he know the world was going to change.

DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009)

The Apocalypse tore Shamrock apart. The end of the world had hit Ireland pretty hard, and it hit Shamrocks family hard as well. His mother, father, and younger sister had all died. The only thing that had saved him physically was his mutation. The only thing that had saved him mentally was alcohol.

The first time Shamrock had ever drank was out of desperation. He had been walking ruined streets of his hometown Dublin. He was starving and thirsty. On his second day of walking, Shamrock was physically and mentally drained. He had made his way by a partially standing building and decided that that was where he was going to be spending his night. As he made his way into the building his foot kicked what had seemed like a cardboard box. When he looked down he saw a six pack of Beamish Stout, but into his confused eyes it looked like a pack of soda. Without thinking he reached down and yanked a can taking down all of the contents in seconds. The taste was horrible at first but it had gave him so life back, and he could feel the fluids flowing down his body. He later downed the six pack and was officially drunk. The feeling of being drunk settled his mind, and it made him forget about what was going on.

He continued to drink. He was only fourteen years old taking down every pack of beer down that he saw. But the alcohol wasn't a completly bad thing, because it had helped him figure out he wasn't a normal human. Shamrock was searching a building for beer when he had first realized his power. After searching the building for what had seemed hours, he was finally fed up with everything. He couldn't find his family, he couldn't find food, and now he couldn't find beer. Pissed off he shouted into the air, and a giant force field released from hsi body, knocking down the walls of the building surrounding him. At first it startled him, but he thought it was just another effect of the beer and brushed it off. Then he remembered he was sober. He spent a few more hours trying to make it happen again but he couldn't. So he dropped on the ground and started thinking. "Just do what I did..." And before he knew it he was making force fields.

He was found later that week "floating"(but it was really just him inside of a forcefield) in the air. He was unconscious, because of the liquor, and he wasn't responding to any of the X-Men who were trying to help him. They brought him back to the states where he would attend the Xavier institute.

POST-APOCALYPSE

Shamrock slowly started getting his life back after the Apocalypse. He surrounded by people who were "just like him", even thou he felt he had nothing in common with these people. shamrock also didn't like the fact that he was being called a mutant, but he soon got over that and continued on with his life. The Mansion prevented him from ever getting any alcohol, and he was having a tough time dealing with that.

It took a while for Shamrock to break out of his shell and start making friends again. He had to fight the urge to wanna drink, and he did that by interacting with people. He felt like he was finding himself again.

PURIFIERS

Shamrock had finally recovered and making friends when the purifiers had made their way through. His trust in humans was slowly going down every day during those times. And when they bombed the mansion Shamrock was lucky to make it out. He had lost some friends when the mansion exploded and he was back to feeling lost again, just like he was in Ireland. He had broke off from the group of survivors one night and managed to steal some alcohol. He was back to his drinking way again, for that seemed to be the only way he could cope with it all. The beer took away all the hard feelings that he had built up and he thought it was the only way he could get over it all. The purifiers turned Shamrock back into an alcoholic.

SKRULLS

Shamrock was lucky to be on of the few ho was not infected by the Skrulls. this event scared the sense out of Shamrock because he didn't know who he could trust and who he couldn't trust. He thought about running away from the institute but something had made him stay back. He didn't want to go through another loss, and instead he wanted to fight. He was too young at the time and the X-Men didn't let him participate and it still urks him to this day that he wasn't given the chance to fight. He continued to drink during all of this, almost seculding himself from the world.

CURRENT HISTORY

Shamrock is doing good now. He still is a drinker, but he knows how to control himself. He's been attending his classes at Utopia, hoping to fully understand his powers. He's ready to fight. He's ready to fight for the safety of the world. He came to the conclusion that if he has these powers he might as well use them for good. The only thing for him to do now is to get better. He's gained a little mastery of his powers since being in the institute. He knows how generate his force fields at anytime he wants too, and he's also learned how to use it as a weapon.

SAMPLE RP POST:

Richard dragged his feet along the dirt path way as he made his way. Everything was destroyed. Everything was demolished. He was one of the few survivors. As he walked he hung his head low, but kept his ears ready. He was ready. Ready for anything. Ready to die. Ever since the world had ended, the few people who survived would do anything for a meal. Even eat a human.

Continuing his journey further down the dirt path, Richard came across a building. The building was barely standing up, and he couldn't figure out how it was standing up, but he payed it no mind. That's where he was staying tonight. He was tired, hungry, and thirsty. So even the slightest bit of shelter seemed great. Finally arriving at the front of the building, Richard stopped, his blue eyes looking at the entrance. It was pitch black inside. A younger Richard would of feared the darkness, but this was a different person. A person changed by the deaths of millions.

Boom.

Richard kicked the door in, still standing at the same position he had began in. His pure blue eyes gazing into the darkness. He knew he couldn't see anything, but he was straining his eyes to make sure it was safe. After a good 30 seconds of waiting, he made his way into the tattered building.

Cling.

Richard had kicked something as he walked into the building. He darted his eyes down to the floor noticing a six pack of what seemed to be soda. Without hesitation he dropped to his knees, ripping the first can off from its plastic covering. As he opened the can up he sent it straight to his mouth, the warm contents of the can filling in his mouth. It was a bitter taste. It was nasty too. But he had nothing else to drink so he downed the tall can.

Burp.

Whilst belching, he turned the can to his face, gazing at the label to figure out what he had just drank.

"Beamish Stout..." he read aloud, while sending his gaze to the five other cans. "Well I'll be damned, I'm drinkin' beer!" Richard wasn't sure if he should keep drinking or not. He looked around as if he was a child doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. Then a sudden feeling of realization came over him as he lowered his head. "I forgot... I'm the only one..." And with out asking any more questions Richard ripped a second beer from its plastic covering, drinking it down like it was water.

Thirty minutes had gone bye and so had the six can of beer. Richard was full on drunk and had no idea what to do. He had never felt this feeling before. After all, he was only fourteen years old. All he knew was that the drink gave him a sense of relaxation. A feeling that everything was gonna be okay.

Slowly trying to get to his feet, Richard stood. He could barely hold himself up and he was beginning to feel dizzy. "Wha..." he slurred as his eyes slowly closed and he feel to the floor with a nice thud.

A red haired Irishman named Shamrock who is an alcoholic at 17? No. Just 100% no. Red haired sure. Irish sure. Alcoholic maybe. All three together = terribly offensive stereotype and is as insulting as if you made a black guy with watermelon based powers whose code name was Chicken-n-Waffles or a Gay Character who shoots rainbows and has the power of fabulous. Not going to fly here, boyo. Go back and rethink this because as it is, it is a definite DENIED.

(My last name is Kenealy. You can see why I find this offensive)
