Date: July 10th Time: 9:00 pm "Don' worry little one, sure there are some things in here that will help." He sounded cheerful enough, voice thick with a sottish accent he'd never be able to get rid of. "MEW!" Who knew something so tiny, so fluffy could be so..loud. Kaid winced as he tucked the kitten to his chest, idly patting it on the head. The frightening beastie was so tiny it easily fit in the lanky, tall mans palm. Fur slick with dirt, matted and clumped the only color it seemed to be was a uniform brown. Pretty, large green eyes viewed the room around him with displeasure. No one was coming near him and constant baby hisses rolled from the sharp fanged mouth. Doing his best to stay in the shadows, glasses firmly over his own eyes, Kaid padded his way to a near by chair. The click click click of his long talon feet on the ground. He couldn't wear shoes, lizard like feet made it neigh impossible. Barely visible beneath his floor length, hand made coat was a brief flash of deadly claws and heavily scaled flesh. Brushing a lock of his own messy brown hair out of his face he perched on the chair hoping that someone would at least be able to look at the beast. He hadn't found a vet in the area-not that he could afford it. He huffed under his breath-and sat back. "ACK!" Stupid yes but he was tired, had forced himself out of his lair into a cold night(for him) and he was slowing because of it. Kaid sat on his tail, a burst of sharp pain forcing him to rock back and up-but not before the chair leg bent under the surprise angle and weight and broke. "Oh shit." Tail flicking under his coat in agitation the mutant protectively held the kitten to his chest as he peered, shamed, around him. He ignored the sharp needle teeth that gnawed on his bumpy scaled flesh. Mouth open to pant for air, licking at his sharp serrated teeth he cleared his throat. "Anyone?" Claws carefully itched his head, rubbing at his horns before lowering to touch the scratches on his bumpy face. A faint wince. It wasn't bad enough for him to have to shed, but it was annoying. Still he wasn't here for himself. |

It hadn’t been very long ago that Sharon had frequented Mutant Town, it being a place where she could find easy side jobs that paid under the table, perfect for someone with her unique skills. And despite having moved to the greener pastures of the Hellfire Club, there were still those in Mutant Town who remembered the petite purple cat that used to wander around. She’d come back for the day, having offered to help an older couple who used to offer her the occasional meal help with some work on their little apartment. Of course, they insisted to trying to do everything themselves, despite her offer to help. And when the woman twisted her ankle on a step ladder later that night, Sharon had caught her before she could fall, and helped carry her to the medical center. Nostrils flaring as she stepped inside, the lavender haired woman fought the urge to bolt back outside, where the sharp scents of antiseptic wasn’t poisoning the air. Her furred tail twitched behind her in irritation, paint splattered jeans slung low on her hips to give her tail freedom. Helping the woman hop to a chair, and grinning at her continued insistence on being able to walk, Sherry let her sit down, shaking her head. “I’ll be outside,” She said, smiling at the couple when they thanked her, her booted feet making a beeline for the exit. Before she could escape, a large form filled the doorway. Her sensitive nose picked up a reptilian scent, her sharp gaze picking out the differences on the tall man entering the center. She wouldn’t have given him a second look, had she not noticed another scent, tiny, scared, and infinitely more familiar. The tiny kitten noises were picked up by her ears, and she watched him curiously as he sat. But the chair seemed unwilling to support his weight, and when he finally looked around, seemingly helpless, Sharon inched her way over. “Is it injured?” Her voice was soft, soothing, and her lavender eyes were on the tiny creature he was protecting. Her tail flicked idly, wrapping around her waist, and her eyes flashed, the pupils slitting like a cat, nostrils flaring. The feline nature of her own mutation gave her a rather unusual affinity towards other felines. She had plenty of experience with kittens, having cleaned, and even bottle nursed a few in the past. Coming closer, she smiled kindly at him. “Give us a look, maybe I can see about getting her cleaned up.” |

The little furball of terror twisted around in his grasp peering up at the fellow feline with obvious delight. Ah, finally, a higher being! A mouthful of noises escaped, so much talking that Kaid peered down helpless and confused, at the furball. He had no idea they could talk that much. Part of him said it was gibberish, just meaningless cat chatter, but another part of him thought he was being called every name under the sun. His own nostrils flared at her scent, eyes peering from behind thick sunglasses. He took in her purple coloration, the musky neck ruffling smell of cat-and was automatically distracted by her tail. More animated than his own he watched it flick around her legs, momentarily dumb struck. Sure he had his own, he could easily play with it if that was his goal-but it couldn't do -that!-. Wiggly, it was so very wiggly! His fingers itched to touch it but he manage to keep himself composed except for the staring. Oh god, was he being rude and male or what? At least that's probably what it looked like. Hastily he looked up at her lamely offering a hand full of kitten in apology. "Sorry. Don't see purple much." He tried in way of apology, flicking his glasses down enough to show a flash of his own violet eyes. "Found her near my hide hole. Hissin' at some kids. Looks like she has cuts on her belly, and I don't really carry first aid stuff...don't need it." Was he glad he had washed up before he found her. The hospital scents were bad enough for his sensitive nose, adding that particular smell he could never get rid of from his scales and trips down below, and he was sure he must have stunk for the...lady. He eyed speculatively for a moment. A cautious sniff that involved him leaning forward just enough to get it properly. The smell of hospital, disinfectant, wounds old and new were distracting but all it told him was what he already knew. She was feline to some degree. "Can't say I did much but chase em for a bit, don' wanna be dragged in for assault on 'children' when I just moved here." Him and Mother Teresa, but best not to show his true colors with someone he didn't know. Instead he was the impeccable gentleman(minus the smelling), and smiled gently and kindly at her. He kept his nervous glances for approaching people to himself, or so he thought, and instead kept smiling even as the kitten started to gnaw on his thumb. Eyebrow twitching he lifted his other hand to rub at his heavily scarred neck and cheek. "Hope we ain' holding you up or anything." He hadn't spoken to many mutants, scratch that none, since he moved here. His tail flicked betraying his agitation and discomfort. |
