No HOMETOWN: St. Louis, Missouri KNOWN RELATIVES: Stanley Thomas (father), Ida Thomas (mother), Kim Ho Twae (adopted sister) PHYSICAL APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 5’11 BUILD: Lean/Muscled EYES: Brown HAIR: Black, though often shaved bald DISTINGUISHING MARKS: N/A CLOTHING STYLE: Everett’s clothing style is very casual. He has never in his life been interested in the latest fashions. Quite frankly, he has more important things to worry about. Basically, his philosophy in clothing if it fits and people aren’t driven to sickness by my appearance, then he’ll wear it. He is much more interested in comfort and function than appearances. Jeans and a T-shirt are more than good enough for him. UNIFORM: The X-Uniform he receive when he came to the institute. It’s the same black leather with the yellow ‘X’ that the others use, though his is imbibed with unstable molecules to conform to any of the infinite number of powers that he is able to display, POWERS GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Synch possesses the ability to duplicate the superhuman abilities of any super powered being he comes in contact with. His abilities grant him a bio-energetic aura that allows him to “synch” with another super powered being’s bio-energetic aura, allowing him to display their abilities. When using his powers, a multi-colored aura appears around his body, caused by the absorbed energy splitting the ambient light around him. When duplicating an ability, his body innately allows him to use it at its strongest potential, automatically giving him the knowledge of how to masterfully execute the power. It is not unusual for Everett to utilize a power better than its original owner. For a long time, his power was passive, activating whenever he came into the presence of another mutant. He spent a lot of time by himself during this nascent period of his power, not wanting to manifest a power that he could not control. However, he was only motivated by this challenge. He worked hard and eventually overcame this obstacle, now able to selectively use his power. Synch can display the ability of any mutant within a thirty-foot radius around his person. If a mutant stays within this radius, Synch can continuously replicate their power. However, if the mutant is removed from his presence, he will retain the duplicated power for about an hour before it fades away. He can currently duplicate the abilities of four different mutants at a time. If multiple mutants are within the radius of his ability, he is able to pick which mutant’s powers he synchs with by focusing on their unique bio-energetic aura. He can actively choose to release a power before his time with it has run out. Furthermore, as a natural part of his powers (and his own ingenuity in thinking of different uses for an ability), Synch is able to display a power in new, innovative ways that the owner may not have considered. Of course, this is not standard for all abilities. If a mutant’s abilities have been hampered by mental blocks or a traumatic injury of some sort, such as in the case of Rogue or Cyclops, Synch would be able to display their abilities without these handicaps. Once a superpower fades away, he can immediately pick up a new one. As long as he is not physically too tired to continue to perform with any given ability, he can continue to duplicate powers. Synch works hard on not only increasing his skill with his own abilities and the amount of time he can retain a power, but also on mastering the powers of his teammates, so that he can use them effectively at any time. Of course, this means that on average, he has to train much harder than any of his teammates to master as many abilities as possible. His years of good study habits come in handy, as he’s willing to practice for hours on end to perfect a technique. In theory, with time and practice, Synch may be able to permanently retain any powers and abilities he acquires. However, he’s light years away from achieving that goal. His work on his powers at this point in time focuses on retaining abilities for longer periods of time, duplicating more abilities and increasing the range at which he can duplicate an ability. A side effect of syncing with the bio-energetic aura of super powered beings, Synch is able to lock-on to that energy and track a mutant across large distances. At the present, he is able to locate a mutant about 1000 miles away. As well, Synch is able to sense the presence and the abilities of superpowered humans within his immediate vicinity. WEAKNESS: Of course, the biggest liability of his power is the fact that, if no super powered being is within range, Synch has as much power as a baseline human. Synch gains the full power of a super powered being when he syncs with them. He even intuitively gains the knowledge of how to properly execute the ability. However, what he does not gain is their experience with that ability. For example, if he were to gain the abilities of the X-Woman Storm, he would have full control over the weather, like the weather witch does, but would lack the years of training that Storm has spent learning to control her ability; he would not have the emotional control and detachment necessary to completely keep the powerful ability at bay. As such, he tries to learn as much as he can about a mutant’s powers before he attempts to duplicate it, about its strengths and weaknesses and how it may drain on his body. Otherwise, there may be disastrous effects if he is unable to control the ability. Of course, he doesn’t always have time to sit down and ask someone how their power works; when time is of the essence, he tends to work with what his abilities can intuitively tell him about the new power. Synch does have the ability to duplicate physical mutations. However, his body may not have the ability to properly duplicate some physical abilities due to them exceeding the boundaries of his own physical makeup. As well, when he copies an ability, he acquires any disabilities that may come with it. For example, if he were to copy the abilities of Firestar for an extended period of time, he would find that he would be diagnosed with cancer. It does not take an appreciable amount of energy to sync with another’s power. Thus, Everett could, hypothetically, copy powers all day long. However, Everett must be careful that he does not overexert himself when syncing with a power. Each time he uses a power, he takes on the energy drain that comes with it. Some abilities may require a lot of fortitude of either body or mind and, if he is tired from using other abilities, he may not have the strength to properly sync with them and he’ll have to let them go. For example, though he could use Nightcrawler’s teleportation powers quite effectively, he does not have the physical fortitude to stand up to the strain of teleporting multiple times that comes with the power, as he had not had continuous access to it with which to build up an immunity. Using this ability, he could quickly bring himself to the edge of unconsciousness and find himself quite unable to take on another power. As for his tracking by bio-energetic auras, though he can sense the presence of mutants in general, to pinpoint a certain mutant, he must have, at some point in his life, already synced with the mutant’s ability. This allows his body to recognize exactly which bio-energy aura he is searching for. Once he has synced with an ability, he is able to find the mutant at any point in time. The ability only works within a 1000-mile radius. The further away the target is, the harder it is for him to pinpoint their exact location. PERSONALITY Everett is a very relaxed person. Not lazy, mind you. He is an extremely hard worker, always finishing any task he is assigned quickly and diligently. It’s just that he’s the kind of fellow that marches to the beat of his own drum, so to speak. That’s usually code for “this guy is mentally insane,” but he likes to think that people just don’t get him. Everett is a natural optimist. He always tries to look on the bright side of things, so much so that it sometimes annoys his friends, especially when it turns out that he’s wrong. He admits that he is sort of idealistic and a bit naively so at times, but he holds firm to the belief that the world would be a much better place if everyone had the same mindset. When he finds something that really excites him, like Biology, he can be very animated. He abandons his mellow attitude in favor of conveying his excitement to anyone who will listen, which is a very small amount of people as he can be quite long winded when he gets going on a subject. Everett’s kind, relaxed attitude is a direct byproduct of the way he was raised, living such a small, relaxed, isolated town, and how his parents chose to mold his young mind. Stan and Ida Thomas raised their children to be good Christian people. They instilled within Everett the qualities of a young gentleman. He was brought up to be a respectable young man and to treat everyone with the courtesy that they deserve. He has the good manners that are so characteristic of the Thomas family. He’s loyal to a fault with those he cares about, both friends and family. He always has been and shall always remain a man of his word. Everett has a very strong sense of justice. It was one thing that his parents made sure of. He often acts as a mediator for his more hot-headed teammates. Everett tries to see the best in everyone. Everett is perhaps one of the least judgmental people you could meet. He wishes to save people the feeling of inadequacy and alienation that most mutants nowadays must endure. He gives everyone he meets the benefit of the doubt. He’s perhaps a bit naïve like that. But once he does see their bad side, he tends to be rather violent towards them. Despite his whole devil-may-care state of mind, he does have a bit of a temper. He’s extremely protective of the people he cares about and he will do anything to protect them, even put his own safety in jeopardy. It just so happens that he’s a rather vindictive person when provoked. He has no problem with using his abilities for his own personal revenge, especially if it’s to save someone he loves. Fighting, however, is not his first line of attack. Everett usually tries to find a peaceful way to resolve a disagreement. Fighting usually only leads to more problems. He prefers when a dispute can be resolved without coming to blows. Of course, even he, the outspoken pacifist, sometimes loses control. He is known to have a rather jealous streak in relationships and tends to lash out viciously if provoked. Everett prides himself on his logical mindset. In a world where brawn is so often chosen over brains, Everett sees the true value of taking a moment to think over a problem before rushes headlong into danger. Everett is in possession of an amazing analytical mind. He is able to look at a situation and analyze what needs to be done to reach the desired effects. He is a very brave man, not shying away from even the most impossible of odds. If there is even a sliver of a chance that he may prove successful in his endeavors, Everett dives into a situation wholeheartedly. He has a fierce confidence in his abilities, both genetic and learned. Thus, he is rarely afraid when faced with confrontation, as he is confident that he can come through almost any situation. Of course, this confidence does not cross the border into stupidity, as Everett is well aware of his own limits. Everett does feel fear when the situation demands it, yet he is an expert at hiding any emotion from the world. He is an advocate of embracing that long established human tradition of retreating when the odds are against him. It is not cowardice, but merely a strategic maneuver. You live to fight another day, when you are in a more advantageous position. As a child, his father was always pushing him to be as driven as he could possibly be. He’d call Everett into his office and then he’d go off on these tangents about how hard he worked to get where he was and how Everett had to work hard too if he wanted to get anywhere in life. Admittedly, it wasn’t Everett’s favorite part of his childhood, but it turns out that it actually helped him. Everett became a very determined person. He finds what he wants and he goes after it with all he’s got. Someone once said, “Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.” Everett personally prefers to believe that he can. Failure is simply not an option. HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE Everett Thomas was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Ida and Stanley Thomas. He was the apple of their eyes and as he grew up, he was afforded every luxury they could offer. Growing up in a Christian household greatly influenced Everett’s development. From a very early age, his parents had high expectations of both intelligence and morality. Even as a child, Everett would be called into his father’s office every now and then and the man would go off on these tangents about how hard he worked to get where he was and how Everett had to work hard too if he wanted to get anywhere in life. His father was grooming Everett with the expectation that he would be just as smart and intellectual as he was yet also have the ability to treat all people with a measure of kindness. These talks continued well into Everett’s teenage years. Though Everett can’t say that he always enjoyed these conversations, he must admit that they are ultimately what inspired him to pursue any and all of his dreams, as well as what led him to accepting Christ into his life. Though he has his moments of weakness, he always tries to exhibit the ideals of Christianity: kindness and love, even to those who hate you, forgiveness, peace, patience. Though he loved both his parents dearly, Everett had always wanted a sibling, someone he could play with. He had his friends at school of course, but there was nothing like having someone that was always there for you, someone that would be your partner in crime around the house, forever engaged together in the battle against the unfair parents. So he kept asking his parents for a little brother or sister. They would always say that they didn’t need another baby, because he was the perfect child and he would settle down for a while, before asking again. It wasn’t until much later in life that he learned that it was impossible for them to have another child because, after he was born, his mother had gotten her tubes tied. Apparently, they had only planned on having one child. However, their plans must have changed because, when Everett was six, the Thomases adopted a three-year-old girl name Kim Ho Twae. Everett loved the little girl as if she had been born into the family and he instantly took on the role of her protector. It was nice to feel needed, like he was making a difference in the little girl’s life. It was just as he entered puberty that his powers began to manifest. It happened intermittently, but enough to worry him slightly. It would just be a flash of prismatic light that was gone as soon as it had come. These lights were usually followed by a rather strange feeling that would soon fade, just a strange shiver running down his spine. Due to the fact that his power needed another mutant present to have any really noticeable effect, these moments were hardly groundbreaking. Looking up the symptoms of puberty, he couldn’t find anything about flashes of light or these weird feelings. Of course, he kept it to himself, as most teenagers are wont to do when faced with a potentially embarrassing situation. This was something that he felt he had to deal with himself, though if he knew how disastrous it would turn out, he may have asked for help. As he entered high school, Everett was more than active in school activities. He joined the track team, a sport in which he more than excelled, and participated actively in other activities, such as the football team, the basketball team, student government, and the school newspaper. He even had a minor role in the spring musical (not a singing role, of course. The boy’s tone deaf). Some say that he took on too many responsibilities in the school but he just loved to be involved (and the fact that colleges love extracurriculars didn’t hurt either). Some people gave him the nickname “Mr. School Spirit,” a term that more than likely wasn’t meant to be endearing, but Everett embraced it with pride. He was more than happy to participate as much as possible. Becoming so involved in school helped him forgot the strange events of his developmental years. Of course, such peace and happiness could not last forever. As they say, “nothing gold can stay.” It all came to a head one day in the school cafeteria, his junior year of high school. Everett’s then girlfriend was a very suspicious, jealous girl and she frequently accused him of cheating on her, though he would never even think of doing such a thing. This time, apparently, his gaze had lingered much too long on the reporter that had been interviewing him for the school paper. His girlfriend had always been one for making a scene and the students of the school were more than happy to supply the audience. Many people had abandoned the pretext of eating and openly stared as Everett was chewed out by his girlfriend. It had not been a good week for Everett and this was the last thing he needed. As hard as he tried, he could not just stand there and take the verbal abuse. Before he knew it, the two of them were in a shouting match, each trying to outdo the other. By this time, his powers had been dormant for their longest time ever, over a year, with him seeing neither hide nor hair of them, and he was finally thinking that these strange symptoms were starting to fade away. In actuality, they were more than ready to burst forth. This time, unlike all the other times his power had shown itself, there was another mutant within his range. There was a sudden flash of multi-colored light and instantly, Everett’s voice was magnified a hundred times, so loud that it constituted a physical force. Everett let out a sonic scream that shattered windows and eardrums and sending his now ex-girlfriend flying head over heel, landing all the way across the room slumped against the wall. The scream incited panic in the room, sending people running and screaming in all direction. Everett himself, after momentary shock at what he had just done, leapt out of the nearest window and ran all the way home, holing himself up in his room and pacing maniacally as he tried to figure out what had just happened. When his parents finally got home that evening and found him freaking out in his room, they managed to pry the story out of him, including everything that had been happening over the years. His parents assured him that he was not a freak, that his mutancy was a gift from God, but he wasn’t so sure. He had probably put the girl in the hospital. The incident wasn’t just going to gloss over and be forgotten. That evening, while watching the evening news to see just how bad the damage was, the family viewing was interrupted by a knock at the front door. Upon opening it, Everett and his family were confronted by representatives from the Xavier Institute. They informed the Thomases that their son was a mutant and that the display earlier that day had been his powers revealing themselves in a rather violent manner. Everett was offered sanctuary at the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters, a place where he would be not only safe, but also accepted by his peers. There, he would learn to control his abilities and be a help to the world, rather than a hindrance. DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009) http://z4.invisionfree.com/Xrevolution/ind...?showtopic=4495] The following years at the Xavier Institute were spent in what could best be described as a state of high alert. There was no telling was going to happen or who you’d find yourself facing on the battle field. Even someone who, supposedly, was a friend. During Apocalypse, Everett, as an inhabitant of the X-Mansion, was trying his best to fight on the side of good. He wasn’t skilled enough, nor old enough, to fight on the frontlines against the main evil but he still worked hard and tirelessly, ignoring all threats to his person as he tried to ensure that innocent civilians were evacuated and kept from further harm. Sure he wasn’t on the front lines, directly fighting the big bad but he likes to think that he was doing the work that had to be done. If somebody has to be doing the grunt work, why not him? Especially when it does so much good for the populace. POST-APOCALYPSE Following Apocalypse, Everett’s life certainly calmed down. He worked hard to complete his college degree; he attended NYU, majoring in psychology with a premed concentration, living at the Xavier Institute and commuting to campus (sometimes with the help of some of his peers’ powers). He trained harder than ever to better understand himself, his powers and where he fit into the world of the X-Men and mutants. It was a very formative time in his life. Seeing first hand the amount of destruction that the world can face and seeing the difference that he and his teammates were able to make encourage Everett to make himself the best that he could be. He grew exponentially in his powers, learning how to control them and use them to the best of his abilities for the betterment of mankind. Whatever it took, whoever could help, he would work as hard as he could to protect the ideals that the X-Men stood for. PURIFIERS Everett was at the mansion when the Purifiers attacked, though he wasn’t outside. He was trapped for a moment before he synched with another mutant’s powers and busted his way out. He helped with the rescue as best he could, trying to keep his eyes dry as the death toll rose higher and higher. He couldn’t believe that anyone could show this level of hatred. All his life, he had been taught to love and honor and respect people of all creeds and beliefs. That someone would stoop to murdering children to achieve their ends is simply unfathomable to him. Something snapped within him at that moment. He struggled with his faith, with how a God of love and compassion could allow suck hatred to exist. Did that God even exist? Though he still guided himself by a stringent moral compass, he found that that compass didn’t always point north anymore. Sometimes, the ends do justify the means. He fought harder than he ever has before in the battle with the sentinels over New York. They were the last line of defense for mutantkind, for the very world and he would be damned if some madman was going to ruin everything the Professor had worked for. They fought and they won but it hurt. Everything hurt and nothing seemed like it would ever be okay. SKRULLS The Skrull invasion hit everyone hard. The entire world was under the influence of the aliens and Everett was no exception. He was at the Utopia during the initial attacks of the Skrull though, of course, they failed to repel the planetary threat. They hadn’t even seen it coming. They were blindsided and horribly unprepared to deal with the attack when it came. There really was no hope until those few X-Men were able to create a cure and managed to save the day. It was hard fighting friend versus friend but it had to be done. The earth had to be protected no matter the cost. Seeing how easily they were taken down in the first place, Everett couldn’t help but be spurred onwards towards working harder than ever. CURRENT HISTORY Moving back to the States was a relief after the isolation of the Savage lands. One of the first things he did was check in on his family. He needed reminding that they were okay, that everything that had happened hadn’t hurt them too hard. It was nice to be back with his parents and his little sister, who was growing much faster than he would have liked. It felt good to be back in Missouri, where he hadn’t been in years, and to just relax. He has to say that he didn’t at all regret asking for a few weeks to spend at home. It was just the recuperation he needed, though he can’t say it instilled a fervent desire to go back to the X-Men. It was nice living an uncomplicated, un-training filled, normal life for a few weeks. But as always, nothing gold can stay. As he returned to the X-Men, Everett hit the ground running as things in the world seemed to be spiral more and more out of control. People going missing, friends being killed left and right, threats being issued to the world, people returning from the dead. It was madness! Everett never felt more helpless because there didn’t seem to be a tangible person that they could defeat. Everyone and everything was cloaked in shadow with friend fighting against friend. After Scott was killed, it was hard to keep moving forward. And things just kept getting worse, as they are wont to do. He tried to help as much as possible, fighting where he was needed to get the job done. By this point, it was all rote. Yer everything The dreams always started the same way. He’d be walking up the steps to his house in St. Louis, bag slung over his shoulder, home for the holidays. When he threw open the front door, he’d see them. His mom, his dad, his sister, all sprawled out in the middle of the floor, soaked in blood, their throats slit, their eyes hollowed out, undeniably dead. He’d run to each of them, checking to see if it was real because how could it be real? He had just talked on the phone with them to tell them he was almost home. Then, out of the kitchen, a woman he didn’t recognize would step, dressed in her Stepford Wife finest, straight out of the 50s. She announced that dinner was served and as one, his family members would rise from the floor and make their way into the dining room with him invariably following, uneasy with this unknown woman and her ability to raise the dead. They would all take their seats at the table, set for a sumptuous feast with the finest china, a most exquisite table cloth and beautifully delicious looking dishes, a huge contrast to cadavers sitting a the table dripping blood. As he was sitting at the head of the table, the woman brought in the final platter, silver with a cover that she set down in the center of the table. With a flourish, she removed the cover and for a moment, Everett was looking down at himself, laying flat, spread-eagled on the platter. The next moment, he’d be looking up, watching as the woman sharpened the knives in her hands, unable to move as she systematically dug them into his limbs, severing them from his body and partitioning them amongst the remaining diners. It was a pain beyond anything he’d ever felt. He could feel his body parts being skewered, chewed and minced, broken beyond any recognizable form. Pure agony. It was always as the woman pulled out a butcher’s cleaver and brought it down on his neck that he awoke, sweating and screaming, heart pounding and mind racing, afraid to close his eyes again. When it was determined that these nightmares were a results of telepathic interference, Everett was among the many to line up to get them wiped from his mind. He also asked, politely at first but with increasing irritation and impatience when he was refused, if somebody (or himself, even) could use Cerebro to wipe the nightmares from his family’s mind in St. Louis. They needed all their strength to combat whatever threat was being thrown at them and his family wasn’t considered priority. Also refused was his request to visit his family to ensure that they were okay. They needed all hands on deck for whatever battle was to come and Everett knew that. But he couldn’t help but want to take off in the middle of the night and drive all the way to St. Louis. They were his only family. If anything happened to them, he didn’t know what he’d do. And it seemed selfish to confine this cure only to the X-Men. The best he could do was give them a phone call, assure them everything would be alright and to not believe anything in their dreams. Now, he is enrolled at Columbia University, in their medical school, with plans of becoming a psychiatrist, having finally completed undergrad what with all the interruptions to his education. After eight years of working with the X-Men, he’s been promoted from a mere student to the advance team. So, when the Dark X-Men attacked the school, Everett fought alongside his fellow X-Men against their former friends. It’s not fair when you’re trying not to hurt your friends too much but they’re trying their damndest to put you in your grave. But they survived, gaining back some of their friends’ hijacked minds yet losing still others to the terrible power of the Illuminati. Incidentally, in his spare time, Everett works at a free clinic in mutant town, using both his medical training and his mutant powers to help the mutants in the area. He considered applying at Horizon Labs but he felt that he wanted to do more to help people directly, which is why he’s still with the X-Men. Thus, when the Illuminati began their attack on the world, empowered by the Phoenix, he was already on the ground in Mutant Town as fire rained from the sky and then a raging garden suddenly flooded the district. He focused his efforts on civilian protection. Though it was a district of mutants, many either didn’t have offensive powers or the training necessary to defend themselves. Everett placed himself in harm’s way to make sure that they could escape unscathed. He knew how it felt to feel helpless, since his powers relied on the presence of others for him to have any abilities, and he wanted to save other from having to feel so powerless to save themselves. It was hard fighting against the living ecosystem, protecting himself from being swallowed whilst simultaneously ushering people away from the brunt of the danger. It was hard work but it was the price he paid as an X-Man, one he was willing to pay if it meant people were safe. He’s on call whenever the protectors of the innocent must race into battle to face the seemingly neverending stream of villains. But even so, with all they’ve lost, Everett’s not sure if he can ever say that he’ll ever feel truly safe. He’s grown in his abilities and the people around him are friendly and accepting, but those who wished to harm them surround the X-Men completely. The walls around them can only keep their assailants at bay for so long. Each time they return from a mission without someone or they’ve failed to stop another superpowered egomaniac or some politician spouts off about the evils and dangers of mutants, Everett can feel the walls around them crumbling little by little. And truthfully, he’s scared. SAMPLE RP POST: The rending of steel behind him drew Everett’s attention to the scene behind him. He quickly took in the sight of Laura on the floor, not too far away from him, Piotr standing over her, with the busted up blades spinning lazily in the background. Well, that was unexpected. He didn’t remember any steel blades being programmed into this Danger Room session. Then again, he wasn’t around when it was being programmed. He had shown up twenty minutes before they were going to start, finally getting back from work, and had been planning on spending the evening in his room, telling people he didn’t want to be bothered while he was watching old episodes of Doctor Who on Netflix. But as he had walked through the building, there had been a steady stream of people heading towards the basement, geared up in their X-Men best, and Everett had thought ‘why not?” He deserved a night off from studying. It might be fun to stretch the old mutant muscles for a while. He ran up to his room (the single he now enjoyed as a full-time member of the X-Men), threw down his bag, quickly changed into his uniform and made his way downstairs with the rest, jumping in on the training session. Now, he stood watching as Laura got to her feet and threw a glare up to the control room. He followed her gaze and watched just as Emma Frost walked away from the controls, strutting as she did. Had she sent the saws into the room? Hardly seemed sportsmanlike to set them on them without any warning. But Ms. Frost was hardly known for playing fair. They didn’t call her an ice queen behind her back for nothing (though nothing stayed secret from her for long). Perhaps she was merely trying to keep them on their toes. After all, they wouldn’t have a pre-programmed simulation when they were facing danger out in the real world (though they hardly would be up against giant saws but that was besides the point). Everyone deserved the benefit of the doubt, even Emma Frost. “So, capture the flag, huh?” Everett spoke into slightly awkward silence that followed Emma’s departure. “Should be fun.” A flash of multi-colored light surrounded him for a moment and he could feel the powers of Laura, Piotr and Kitty rushing into him. He walked away from the three of them, taking up a position across from them. Activating one of Laura’s ability, he slid the claws out of his knuckles, wincing slightly as they tore through the skin. It never was a pleasant feeling. Of all the times he synced with her powers, he still couldn’t get used to the feeling of his flesh being rent by solid bone. Unlike either of Laura (or Wolverine for that matter), the claws now protruding from his hands were not coated with adamantium, making them a good deal more vulnerable than Laura’s own claws. But, perhaps, with a little help from Piotr… His body suddenly began to take on a veneer of steel, being covered in the organic metal that Colossus was so known for. Everything from his hair to his toes was suddenly shining, reflecting the lights of the Danger Room. Even the bones claws sticking forth from his knuckles suddenly looked much more dangerous. All in all, steel bodied with the claws sticking forth from his hands, Everett made a rather impressive sight. Yet still, being much smaller than Piotr and not nearly as vicious as Laura, Everett was almost certain that they could take him down alone, no matter how cool the combination of their abilities was. Even with Kitty’s powers up his sleeve, it still was hardly a fair match up. But still, it didn’t mean that he would have fun trying. “Come on guys! Who’s on my team?” Oh yeah. So much more fun than Netflix. |

Punches from the Punch Dimension

You're a liiiiiittle sparse on the event sections of the history, but you seem to grasp what happened during those times. You just seem hesitant to retcon yourself into them, which is frankly fine, but when it comes to current events we need you to mention the events of the current plot: The Villains' Illuminati. Here's a couple threads detailing the major events Here, here, here, here, and here. You don't need to read everything in these threads but you need to skim it for major events. Also, I need to ask if Synch is bisexual in canon, and if he isn't why have you made this choice? We don't normally allow deviations from the canon in sexuality, race or religion, because that tends to run towards offensive. If you have evidence to this or a rational and you aren't making him bisexual to use as a soapbox for some agenda of your own, there's no problem, but we've had to tread lightly on this subject for the benefit of the players' comfort. |

Sorry that it was so sparse. I wanted to hit the major points without accidentally contradicting anything anyone else may have written so it was kinda vague, yeah. But, I went back through and added in the current history, adding in about the dreams, the Dark X-Men, and the power of the Phoenix. Let me know if I need anymore And since he was a minor character in the comics, it never did mention too much about his romantic history, just his relationship with Monet and a crush on Gaia. Really, just in terms of my own thinking of him, I feel like he leans towards women but he's so open-minded that if he happens to meet a guy he likes, he wouldn't be opposed to it. It'd be new territory but not gonna let himself skip out on happiness. |

Sorry about the wait on this. Mostly it's looking good, just those slightly scant areas like Cyclops noted but we understand about not wanting to upset the apple cart so as long as you understand everything that's fine. We'll likely start him off in the Legacy Squad, just because of how you note him so suddenly promoted up during a plot. But, he doesn't have to stay there long as in game promotions happen, as long as you work hard. I'm going to stamp you but Cyclops might want to add something extra. |

Awesome! I tweaked those few things so he's on the Legacy Squad instead of the X-Men |
