PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

HEIGHT: 5’6
BUILD: She has a slender figure, which some have mistaken for an hourglass figure, but that’s mostly attributed to her large bust. Her bust size actually causes her back pain, and while doctors have recommended she get a breast reduction, for pure vanity reasons she refuses to do so and puts up with the pain believing in the mantra, “beauty is pain.” She will not believe this mantra by the time she hits her early thirties.
EYES: Blue
HAIR: A Natural Deep Red
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: N/A
CLOTHING STYLE: Marie enjoys dressing fashionably and in the season’s latest designs. She can be daring from time to time, which may raise eyebrows due to her slightly eccentric off the runway fashion sense (which is not meant for the real world). Overall her look always accentuates her best features and tends to be youthful.
UNIFORM: As a white pawn she likes to wear pastels and plenty of white-all of the clothing items couture, obviously. She’s partial towards lace, tulle, and fabrics with an ethereal appeal.

POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Marie has the ability to manipulate two-dimensional imagery by summoning various pictures to life. The avatars themselves are composed of psionic energy. She is a also a talented precog or what everyday humans call “psychic”.

Psionic Image Materialization - Tarot can summon physical representations of two-dimensional imagery, which she can control mentally. These constructs are made of corporeal psychic energy, which gives these various avatars enhanced strength, durability, resistance to physical damage, temperature extremes, and certain forms of energy. These avatars can withstand impacts up to fifteen tons, additionally in order for them to be destroyed they must meet a force that has the capability of damaging the amount of psionic mass they contain. When Marie is done with the avatars, she has the ability to recall them on command.

The most Tarot can summon are three human sized constructs. The largest avatar she has ever been able to create is one that was approximately fifteen feet in height. (Naturally, when this particular oversized avatar appears, she is unable to create additional avatars.) Human sized avatars can strike with five tons of pressure, whereas her fifteen foot avatar can strike with up to fifteen tons of pressure. Mainly such avatars are beneficial for battle and protection, but they can be used for both entertainment and practical purposes. (There is no real reason to summon a unicorn, only for the sake of summoning a unicorn.) On the practical side they help her with transportation, heavy lifting, and other of life’s inconveniences. (Such inconveniences include saving a seat or having two human sized avatars sit on either side of her, when she doesn’t want others near her at a movie theater. They’re like a personal assistant, but better.) As a psychic based power her avatars have the potential to increase in strength and power with further training, but Marie is happy with her powers as they are.

Each avatar is limited to complete feats based on its physical appearance. A lion could claw and munch on someone. An angel would be able to fly. A physical representation of Death with a scythe could hack away at objects. However, Death could not touch someone and cause instantaneous death. The same lion from above would not be able to use its roar to communicate with other lions. Faeries would not be able to produce magick, faerie dust, or find pots of gold near rainbows.

Tarot is able to summon any two-dimensional image into being, but for practical purposes she prefers the use of her tarot cards as they are always readily available. She prefers to use darker imagery when in battle and chooses decks with the classics such as the Devil and Death. She has a faerie deck which she enjoys to use for entertainment as well as other whimsical decks that happen to come alive for Hellfire Club patrons. If she ever feels the need to create an air of mystery or wonder it’s not uncommon for her to draw cards from either her Arthurian based or Egyptian based decks, creating ten foot figures of Isis or Morgan Le Fey to stand by her as a companion. Even the Queen of Swords manages to create a sense of mystery, and once you’re found staring at the avatar, Tarot has exactly what she wants from you- your full undivided attention.

Psychometric Precognition - Marie is a highly talented psychic. With the aid of her tarot cards she can alert you of a possible new love on the horizon, if your relationship with your significant other will last, the upcoming death of a family member (including pets) and various other personal information which the cards reveal to her. (Imagine that on top of a usual tarot reading a movie plays in her mind giving her more specific information.) Sometimes the cards may not reveal anything significant at all, which indicates the person’s future is still in flux. When receiving a vision her eyes begin to glow white and there is no sign of visible pupils. This power is not magick based as it is based on her mutation. If forced to give a scientific rendering, (which she wouldn’t accept do to her various beliefs) her psychic abilities are the result of her having a better gauge of what is statistically possible in the future, which explains why her power isn’t always “on”.

WEAKNESS: Without two dimensional art, Marie is simply an ordinary human who has to rely on her personality and intelligence to get ahead, which makes her a target for someone who is extraordinarily stronger than her.

• Psionic Image Materialization - Marie’s avatar’s may be able to accomplish great feats, but Marie herself is still an average human. She isn’t able to mimic any of the strengths or talents (such as flying angels) of her avatars.

As a result anyone wanting to take down her avatars would need to take down Marie first. If she were attacked and knocked unconscious her avatars would immediately vanish. Oddly, while she gains none of the strengths from the avatars she creates, should they be destroyed the psionic feedback would leave her in a lot of pain and disoriented, forcing her to recover. Another odd thing of note is that while Marie can create avatars of two dimensional art, the subject itself has to be clear to her. In other words, if she was in a room with no tarot cards and only Wassily Kandinsky’s abstract art nothing would occur as there is no discernible subject within the picture. (Even if her art history classes say otherwise. After learning this about her power, she has found abstract art to be quite distasteful.) Most importantly if she’s not in contact with the art in question the avatar would begin to fade away in seconds.

Psychometric Precognition - The future is constantly changing as people tend to change their minds and make other decisions altering their destinies so to speak. An early prediction Marie may have made may not always come to fruition. However, she does have a high success rate. Marie has difficulty foretelling her own future and believes this is because her story is as of yet unwritten. Depending on stress and her understanding of a situation her ability may seem to be unreliable at times. It’s extremely important for her to be as emotionally detached as possible in order to get the clearest readings. Sometimes when she’s too involved, she thwarts her own efforts. This is where her training as a cool indifferent socialite comes in handy, but even Marie can become emotionally invested with certain predictions. Lastly as her prediction abilities are based on the use of her tarot cards she would not be able to divine instant results, such as who will make the next point in a basketball game as tarot readings usually take time to read accurately.

As her powers are psionic based it does give her a small degree of resistance towards telepathic intrusion. She could not be considered immune to telepathic inquiries as an experienced telepath would be able to bypass her natural defenses.

PERSONALITY

Marie-Ange wants you to believe she is a timid, helpless girl in need of rescuing. She knows very well that she is beautiful and her small frame and busty figure allows others to see her as a helpless maiden. She enjoys pretending to be the damsel in distress as she finds the reaction of people, especially men, quite entertaining. She’s always quite pleased to see people bend over backwards for her, because they believe the “delicate and sensitive” Marie-Ange is incapable of small feats. While, she should be insulted, Marie-Ange craves attention and is happy with letting others believe she is a fragile doll. Marie-Ange best operates when people underestimate her, which they do most of the time.

As a firm believer in the occult and paranormal, combined with her aristocratic upbringing she’s an odd mix of elegance and eccentricism. In order to survive these social circles she was trained to be charming, coolly indifferent, and stoic. Yet, for all her refinement, she tends to live in her head and seems to be lost in a dream most of the time. If she happens to have a confused countenance, she’s most likely bored and simply focusing on subjects which interest her.

Having grown up with an overabundance of money and within European social aristocracy, she has learned the fine art of manipulation. She is a formative opponent in regards to mind games and usually employs these tactics when threatened. Otherwise, she prefers to be a charming, affable young lady. Marie rarely loses control of herself-even when insulted. She prefers a slow burn and can be passive aggressive. Revenge is always most effective when it’s done when an enemy has their guard down. If Marie-Ange ever does have an outburst, which tends to be rare, the result can be frightening as the rage of a spoiled socialite and heiress will come to the surface, ready to take down anyone in her path.

Immersed in a world of the occult and elite social circles it closed off many opportunities for her to bond with people her age. She always had to be selective and the few that could pass the test never seemed to get over the fact that Marie’s strange interests were never meant for polite society. She believes in many things: faeries, dragons, magick, universal laws, and all of these beliefs tend to guide her belief system and decision making process.

While her faults are plenty, what Marie-Ange doesn’t have is a personality disorder or suffer from any grave mental illness. She could conceivably be a well adjusted, albeit strange girl, if she simply learned to open up and reveal her true nature, which she seldom does. Marie-Ange is desperate for companionship, even if she doesn’t acknowledge the truth. This has led to youthful indiscretions, such as her terrible taste in men, which she is slowly starting to grow out of. Very slowly.

A young driven women, she wants to be accomplished in many areas and has used the lessons of her upbringing to achieve what she wants. She’s a patient woman willing to bide her time to achieve what she really wants. However, perhaps what’s most dangerous about her is that her definition of success isn’t necessarily cut and dry, leading her ambition to express itself in unexpected ways, such as wanting to be the best Pawn and most useful member of the court, as opposed to becoming a higher ranked individual. In her mind it seems it’s what everyone wants, which is so boring.

HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE

Long before Marie-Ange was born in Lyons, France her father Etienne Colbert courted her mother Aurelie le Claire. Etienne hailed from an old family name and unlike many families hailing from old money, their assets were not handled properly once Etienne was made head of household. They met with financial disaster that was covered behind prime real estate, irresponsible extravagant purchases to keep up appearances, and a respectable name.

Aurelie’s fortune had come from her mother’s business as a highly respected consultant and medium to the rich and famous. Though for all their business dealings it had been difficult for Aurelie to break through the upper echelons of French aristocratic society. Aurelie understood early on her marriage to Etienne was one of convenience. She came with a fortune and a fine understanding of money management and Etienne would bring prestige and the ability to have her properly introduced and become part of the exclusive social scene of French aristocracy. At first it became difficult to not only be respected by her peers, but to become immersed in the world of the wealthy. Having made so many mistakes in the beginning, Aurelie swore should she ever have a child, the future Colbert would be able to navigate the world of the rich- even if it meant becoming estranged from her mother who made this union possible.

(Around this time Marie-Ange’s Grand-Mere was making headway in the French branch of the Hellfire Club, which Aurelie never approved of as she felt it brought negative gossip to the house of Colbert.)

Once Marie-Ange was born, the family was overjoyed. At an early age she was taught to be a lady. The lessons were a bit challenging for the young Marie as she was more interested in dolls and running around the estate chasing butterflies and squirrels until she passed out from exhaustion. Her Grand-Mere caught on at an early age she was fascinated by the fantastical world beyond. She supported Marie’s imagination, slowly indoctrinating her with occult knowledge. At first it was simply tales of mermaids and faeries and eventually grew into learning to read signs and tarot cards. Her grandmother wanted to ensure her heir a solid position within the Hellfire Club and thus took a special interest in her.

When she was a young child she met Jason Wyngarde through her grandmother and would eventually run across his daughter, Regan Wyngarde, before she left her father’s home at sixteen. The young Marie-Ange was not exactly at her best behavior when meeting the young teen and considered Regan odd at the time, though ironically as a young adult many could now argue the same about her. She did however, consider Wyngarde a man worthy of respect as he had won over her grandmother-completely oblivious to the affair the two had. (As a side note, Marie met Regan before her powers fully manifested, so she knows the “real Regan” so to speak.)

Marie’s mutant abilities first manifested after her grand-mere warned her she had a vision of her bringing to life faeries. No one knew what it meant. However, she was beginning to give up hope until she visited an art show. Enchanted by all the fantasy paintings, Marie was searching through bins, pulling out several posters in her hand when a strange thing occurred. All of the faerie paintings came to life and Marie-Ange was ecstatic, but not as much as her grandmother. Soon after her prescient sight began to develop, which her grandmother felt was a sign of greater things to come. The two began to spend more time with one another, the young woman slowly being exposed to her grandmother’s involvement with the Hellfire Club, but not quite understanding the implications. (It should be noted Marie-Ange was never privy to inner court dealings, she only understood her grandmother held a powerful position within the club.)

However, her parents felt this influence to be detrimental to their child. Marie was becoming more involved with the occult, practicing tarot readings and attempting to gain control of her powers, which her parents felt was in direct contradiction to the Catholic upbringing they attempted. (Marie-Ange’s mother and grandmother had long since had a rocky relationship and Angelique’s involvement in her grand daughter’s mutant abilities only made things worse.) Her parents decided it was in her best interest to be sent to a strict Catholic based boarding schooling in France.

Marie-Ange abhorred everything about the boarding school she was sent to due to its anti-occult stance. She began to stress out and it became harder for her to focus and divine her own future as she desperately wanted out. She would try everything: tarot card reading, scrying, cartomancy and it seemed nothing worked. A woman in black would be the only constant from her tarot card readings. With the amount of stress she was under, hiding many of these banned divination tools from the head mistress at the school, it was difficult for her to use her powers. During that time her only friends happened to be the tinier images she would bring to life from her tarot cards, such as the faeries and other small animals. She amassed a large poster collection at this time and late at night she would enjoy the company of her psionic based avatars as she kept the posters withins arm reach behind her bed.

Finally, Tarot’s premonition came to fruition and the lady in black turned out to be Angelique le Claire, her grandmother who had fought for her custody and won using her many connections to her advantage. (Not to mention exploit the more corruptible figures within the courts.) The two moved to Paris and after her stint at the boarding school, her relationship with her parents soured. It was difficult for her to assess if this was simply a power play on her parent’s part, shame for her powers, or wanting to hide her from the alleged evils of her grandmother. While, a little bit of each was true, the fact remained Tarot grew to mistrust her parents, even if she still loved them.

Angelique decided to make up for Marie-Ange’s stint at the boarding school by telling her grandchild she would be introduced to society at an event hosted by the Parisian Hellfire Club. The event went surprisingly well for her as her natural charm would woo onlookers and her penchant to keep information to herself gave an air of mystery. When appropriate, she would attend a Hellfire event with her grandmother, but that was the extent of her involvement with the Parisian branch.

The main goals for Marie-Ange at this point was proper training for her abilities, which meant the remainder of her schooling came from private tutors entering her home. Wanting to ensure Marie-Ange would be able to handle any obstacle, her grandmother would occasionally throw her in the lion’s den when rubbing elbows with the elite to ensure she grew a thick skin and learned to play the game with careful precision. Angelique le Claire would end up receiving a vision that the city of Paris would be under the thralls of Death. No amount of training could have prepared Marie-Ange to predict these events or even prepare her for the devastation that was about to hit the rest of the world.

DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009)

Marie-Ange was devastated by the destruction and chaos caused by Apocalypse having believed she escaped certain doom only to confront the horseman’s assault on New York. When she learned of the death toll in Europe her world shattered. Believing her family to have been eliminated she found comfort in tarot readings as it was the last reminder of her family. She fell into a quiet depression and didn’t know quite what to do with herself now that she was caught off from Europe. She felt it unreasonable to believe things would get better and focused solely on survival.

Stuck in a state-run safety bunker, she felt stressed by the events around her and began to shut out the world relying heavily on her tarot cards for comfort, but never once getting a clear reading. It wasn’t until the day Apocalypse was defeated that the cards stopped playing tricks on her. She drew the sun from her deck, the first indication that things would now take a turn for the better. There was still reason to hope.

POST-APOCALYPSE

Marie-Ange was at an impasse after the events of Apocalypse as she didn’t know what had happened to her family or if they had even survived the assault. She spent the next few weeks giving readings for a small nominal fee in order to distract herself from the realities of her life. She wanted to hone her craft and quite simply, she enjoyed the art of tarot reading. Several weeks passed before she was in contact with her grandmother. She learned her grandmother had gone to Germany before the assault and urged her mother and father to do so, but her parents refused to believe Angelique calling the prediction “sorcery”. Marie-Ange was now the heir to the Colbert estate or what was left of it.

Angelique felt it was better for Marie to start anew in New York than return to Paris to see all the devastation first hand and be reminded of her parents death. Her grandmother visited when appropriate, but she stayed mostly in France to assist the Hellfire Club and work on the legal matters of the estate that was now in Marie-Ange’s name. The young woman obtained a student visa after obtaining acceptance for Columbia’s Art History program as she needed some sort of ruse to stay in the States. (She was an older college student starting out her freshmen year, so she wasn’t nearly as interested in the college scene as those around her, coupled with her personality, which would find such things trite.) To Marie, if she was going to attend college in order to assure her place in the States (while working on obtaining a green card) whatever degree she earned had to be useful to her. Art History made perfect sense as her powers dealt with understanding the painting and stories behind such art. She felt it would help her create better psionic based images with this additional knowledge.

In between classes Marie became a consultant under the newly installed American branch or her grandmother’s medium business. As an appointment only type of venture it’s given Marie a lot of leeway and allowed her to develop a reputation as a talented psychic in the area. Angelique was pleased as she amassed enough contacts in the States and Europe at this point in her life to cash in favors. The time was now ripe and with a bit more wrangling on Angelique’s part, her granddaughter was given an invitation to join the New York branch of the Hellfire Club. To this day Marie feels thankful for Jason Wyngarde’s intervention as she heard he made a strong case for her. Due to both Wyngarde and her grandmother she was inducted as a Pawn of the White Court.

After joining, she was on guard as she joined two month’s after Selene’s attack and understood there would be suspicion within the halls of the club. Yet she remained optimistic. She had been trained to undergo all sorts of political and social upheaval, but what she never felt quite ready for was the coming of the purifiers.

PURIFIERS

Perhaps it was too early for her to concede defeat of all monstrous things when Apocalypse was defeated, when the Purifiers made their presence known. The most unnerving event had to have been when the White Queen was viciously attacked and blinded by the fiends. Any sense of security the Hellfire Club could have offered her was immediately destroyed during the Hellfire’s attempt to enact revenge for the White Queen. Jay had been mutilated and it proved to her that the ferocity of the purifier’s hatred against mutant kind knew no bounds. Marie-Ange was glad to see the Hellfire Club aided the X-Men after reports came that the Xavier school was destroyed. As a pawn she wasn’t part of the team to assist, so she stayed behind assisting in whatever way was deemed most appropriate. She hoped the leaders of the Hellfire were able to either enact revenge or carry out their version of justice. However, the events of the purifiers taught her to never become complacent.

She decided it would be to the Hellfire’s benefit if she were to learn how to better manage her powers, but how to do so was the real question. She could train, but she wanted to make sure that in the future it was someone with the patience and willingness to teach Marie what she needed to excel.

SKRULLS

The Skrulls leave a bad taste in her mouth to this day after it was uncovered they infiltrated the Hellfire Club. It’s difficult for her to say if she would have known M’sieur Harada was an imposter. It seemed most were surprised from her perspective, but the event angered her. She had completed a training session with the imposter Harada perhaps giving the thing valuable information over the Hellfire Club’s strengths and weaknesses. They say not to trust anyone, but this went beyond issues of trust. Marie doesn’t know if how she feels about the breach of security is about personal pride or an assault to her sense of safety, but in the end the event managed to get under her skin. She was able to maintain calm and composure doing as she was told, which was to contact the White King. She offered to read her tarot cards as a sort of peace offering as all manners of revelations and problems rose up once the false Harada was discovered.

She believed if they could purge Hellfire of Skrull influence the same could be achieved for their allies. Internally, she was glad to see the alliance even while others questioned the risk of helping various X-teams. Once the final battle had been won, when appraising the situation, Marie was proud to have been part of the effort even if she was not part of the main final battle. She was able to accomplish what she could at the Hellfire base even with her powers nullified due to the Skrull psychic inhibitor. However, as a pawn naturally her celebration would be cut short as there were other tasks to attend too. At least she knew now she was part of something grander.

CURRENT HISTORY
The Illuminati. She hated this “little group,” but unlike the Skrulls, the events hadn’t have a direct impact on her for a long time, though she recognizes those around her have been impacted in one way or another. She found the arrival of the Illuminati strange, if only because of the players involved. However as the attacks were in Mutant Town and other surrounding areas, Marie did not care, a sign of privilege on her part. She was invested in the White Queen’s success at the UN and for all intents and purposes it was. (No one, but Betsy Braddock could have taken such intel in her estimation.) After the White Queen spoke to the King of Atlantis, she paid attention to the rumors in the Hellfire Club uncertain, which ones to believe and which ones to disregard. However, she relied on her failsafe philosophy that rumors and gossip were for the crude and poor.

Too many rumors were going around. Not all of them rumors, but actual facts meant to sway people towards one side or the other. She had heard about the death of Cyclops and found that interesting as it meant there would be a lack of leadership within the X-Teams. Many mutants were alleged to have been kidnapped, significant names turned up, but again it didn’t matter to her until it became personal, such as Magma’s rather useful skill at retrieving a certain egg, thanks to Longshot. (Though she couldn’t fathom having to pretend for months on end that she loved someone. She found the alliance between the two very strange, with Longshot manipulating the girl, but these were thoughts that she would not give voice to as he happened to be a higher rank than her. She believed there had to be some method behind this madness.)

After Exodus certain little “prank” as she refused to call it anything other than that, not wanting to give the man more power than necessary, the Illuminati finally became personal to her. She didn’t want thoughts projected in her mind and it reminded her that her natural resistance to telepathy couldn’t keep out the likes of Exodus and his ilk. Currently in Russia, Exodus was fighting and making his presence known and though Tarot wasn’t there she caught glimpses of him on various cable networks, pleased to see others intent on taking him down.

As of now, Tarot is simply biding her time, waiting. She hasn’t had the opportunity to shine, but given the opportunity she will do what she does best to prove why she has always been a useful Pawn to the White Court.

SAMPLE RP POST:

This evening’s task was a simple one at best. It was requested that she delay a young entrepreneur’s arrival to a business meeting, whatever the purpose it was deemed unnecessary for Tarot to know the specifics as she wasn’t part of the inner circle. She was accustomed to the secrecy and a part of her felt when members of the inner circle withheld information, they were testing her to see if she would react as if though she were entitled to such information. Some of the pawns were simply miserable miscreants who believed enough pouting and power plays were the only way to rise in the ranks. Tarot’s method was always much subtler. She played her part to perfection and felt before she could aspire to greater heights it was in her best interest to become a much cherished pawn.

Walking in the upscale restaurant with a large vintage copy of Alice in Wonderland she sat down after being promptly escorted to a table. Outsiders always found it difficult to assert if Marie-Ange simply was eccentric for the sake of being eccentric or if her quirky behaviors went unnoticed. Yet in this instance she was fully aware of those around her, becoming a predator once she set eyes on her target.

It would be too easy. A wealthy, presumptuous playboy type use to getting what they want.

Given a menu she gazed over the items slowly, pretending to debate which choice was the best as she had a pleasant conversation with the help, alerting her to the wine of the day which she decided to skip for now. Once the waiter scurried away, Marie took out a set of earplugs and began to listen to music quietly, as she turned the crisp pages of an old book. She gave it a few minutes, before the waiter appear, a wine on the house, compliments of the gentleman from across the room.

She smiled pleasantly and said no thank you, returning to her book.

Ah, there it was that moment where he would cave, his ego unwillingly causing him to act. Certain men were just always so delightfully predictable.

“Hi, I’m Peter Stone I sent you a wine earlier, but it seems you turned it away.”

She paused, making a show of getting a metal bookmark to save her place in the large ornate book and looked up with expressive eyes.

“Thank you. My name is Marie-Ange,” she said knowing her French accent was thickening as she spoke to him. The accent would never cease to disappear and by now she was use to listening to her voice sounding out vowels and consonants in interesting ways, when compared to native English speakers. “I simply wasn’t thirsty for wine at the moment.” She went back to her book wondering if this would push him away, but now he seemed more aggravated as if though he had to conquer her at all costs.

The imbecile pulled out one her earbuds and instead of saying something spiteful or commenting on his lack of manners, she simply looked up at him, like a curious puppy begging for attention.

“Sit, please,” she told him, even after he had made himself comfortable at her table.

“Alice in Wonderland,” Peter asked.

“Yes. I’ve always enjoyed a finely crafted story.”

“Let’s cut to the chase, I give you my number and-”

“If you’re in a hurry, feel free to leave. I was quite comfortable before your...presence was made known to me.”

He leaned forward and studied Tarot carefully, while her eyes flitted back to the pages of the book. The man sitting before her wanted to leave to prove that he didn’t need to win the approval of a buxom redhead. He stood up ready to depart when she opened up her large oversized Chanel purse and revealed one of her many tarot decks. The Faerie Oracle happened to be a bit more challenging to read, the mythical creatures wanting to do what they wished as opposed to what the cards commanded. She felt the striking pictures would capture his attention even more.

“Monsieur, don’t leave yet, I have yet to tell you the things you wish to hear.”

He looked at her strangely and sat back down, entranced by her. She cut the cards and began her practice as he asked a myriad of questions. Was she Christian? Was this of the devil? Did she do this for a living? Marie-Ange just let out a girlish laugh and began to play along accordingly as he chose a card, no at all as religious as he claimed earlier. They never were when interesting mediums could reveal what a just God would never tell them.

Their future.

Right as she began to read the cards they told her something. He hated mutants. The reading was there and before she continued and revealed her status to him with her glowing eyes, she smiled, leaned in, and whispered, “Tell me what do you hate?”

“Shouldn’t you be asking what I love? What do you love?”

“All things. Dragons. Vampires. Doppelgangers.”

“I love redheads.”

“Ah, but that is not what you hate, for what you hate is written all over the cards.”

“Mutant freaks are all over the cards? Well that thing,” he said pointing to The Green Woman, “could pass for a mutant.”

Her purse buzzed a text simply stating, “Let him go.”

Smiling, she pulled out a card she enjoyed herself, The Friends. It was a silly picture really, one of a plump faerie that was part rodent/part winged creature, being held up by an emaciated yet jolly sprite. “I believe this would pass for a mutant instead,” she told him. He watched as the picture on the card she held seemed to disappear. A parlor trick, surely, but instead she nodded and pointed at the floor. Two little creatures about five inches in height ran towards his foot and began to attack it, though not with any great force. There was simply a point to be made.

The thought that there were people who still found the time to hate others out of irrational racists beliefs was quite offensive to her. More so when it was directed at her.

As he got up screaming, running away from Marie-Ange, yelling a multitude of offensive things which made no logical sense to the nearby patrons, she simply returned to her book unconcerned by how quickly he ran out the restaurant. The man didn’t even bother to pay. The poor waiter. Soon a waiter ran up to her asking if she were okay and Marie closed her book gently and looked up at him.

“I think I will take that wine now,” she told the waiter with a small smile. Mission accomplished, she could now go back to reading her book in peace.

While this looks very good, even if adopting a character it's preferable to notify the head of Court first as HFC is an invite only faction.

I'm seriously not turning you down or going to deny this, but I just want to talk to you about one or two things first so if you can AIM me at some stage today, then I'll give you a stamp once I get things talked through. Thank you.

I changed the detail as requested and had the changes reflected in the last paragraph of the personality and in Post Apocalypse. (Mostly details to make the change clear.)

I'll catch you again later, via AIM. If we miss each other due to time zones, I'll PM those questions to you and try to figure out when we're both on. :)

I'm more than happy with the changes, I don't need you to alter anything else but I will answer any other questions that you have later. You have my stamp but someone else on staff might want to see another fix.
