POWERS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Hisako has the unique ability to create psionic armor at will. This armor is practically impenetrable and extremely durable, acting like a strong forcefield. It becomes an extension of her body, taking on a large-limbed figure. While using her ability, Hisako has increased strength and agility due to the armor’s properties. The strength she gains is incredibly powerful, currently capable of lifting objects up to 30 tons. The armor is so durable that it can easily deflect things such as bullets being fired from a gun.

The source of Hisako’s power is drawn from her ancestry and personal memory. Some in her family tree have had similar abilities. When a family member passes away, her armor becomes noticeably stronger. As well with many other mutations, her armor becomes larger and stronger depending on her mental and hormonal states. The armor’s main source of power is Hisako herself. The way she may feel about something or her mindset can greatly affect the armor’s strength and even appearance.

Hisako is able to change the armor’s appearance to a slight degree. The armor tends to be red, but on occasion can form in various shades of blue or yellow. Most of the time, the color change is caused be an extreme emotional state. She usually incorporates things she was fond of at home into the shape of her armor. An example of this is seen by her maybe adding horns or a face to the armor, one seen from one of her favorite kawaii television shows from back home. She can also form shapes such as claws with the armor. The armor also doesn’t have to cover her entire body. She is able to only form it in places, usually done by forming boots and gloves around her legs and hands for sparring. Hisako is also capable of creating a large concussive blast by releasing her armor, but this currently takes a lot of energy. Normally, the height of the armor can range anywhere between seven and eighteen feet tall without causing Hisako any trouble. She floats in the center of the forcefield while in use.

Armor is still very young and her mutation is far from its full potential. In given time, Hisako will be able to freely shape the armor around her into detailed forms. Sizing her armor will become very easy, being able to heighten it to the size of a large building. The strength she gains from the armor will allow her to lift objects weighing up to 75 tons. With much concentration, she can even form armor on another human being. The damage of her blasts will also become much stronger and take less energy away from her.

WEAKNESS:
To start, Hisako has the same weaknesses any other girl her age would have, unless using her ability in some cases. She’s still prone to sicknesses and everyday human fatigues. She’s also susceptible to any form of telepathy or other powers of the mind. She isn’t extremely built or anything, but is trained in martial arts, therefore allowing her to defend herself in certain situations. While in her armor, she is only vulnerable to lasers and adamantium. These can both freely enter her armor, no matter the circumstance. While the lasers can’t be dodged, Hisako can increase the size of her armor to prevent adamantium from coming into contact with her. Generating her armor and keeping it at a normal size doesn’t take too much out of her, as she could go hours in it. Although, if she’s generated the armor to a large state, it drains more energy out of her. She’s capable of easily keeping larger armor up for around forty-five minutes.

PERSONALITY

Hisako is as sweet and kind as she looks. She tends to be very polite and respectful, especially to her elders. Her heritage and culture play a great part in her day to day life. Hisako’s parents set very good examples were very good examples and role models for her from a very young age. She’s very intelligent, as school was important to her and her family. Just as every other parent, Hisako’s parents wanted her to succeed in life. Therefore they pushed her to do the best that she could, and helped her accomplish her goals. They taught her the importance of hard work and perseverance as she grew up. These qualities are easily seen in her to this day.

Armor tends to always seem happy. She surrounds herself with positive people and everyday things. If you were to walk into her bedroom, you’d find various knick-knacks, anime posters, and even action figures. Although she’s entered her teenage years, she still feels like a child at hear and wishes to remain that way. When she gets free time, she’ll still watch television shows she used to view at home on her laptop. She keeps in contact with her family regularly, as they’ve always been a huge part of her life.

Hisako is confident with herself and is not ashamed by what she is. She views being a mutant and having the ability she has as a privilege. Her goal is to eventually become one of the X-Men. This is seen through the amount of training she takes part in. Training is important to her and is typically a daily must in her schedule. She’s learned to work well with a team, as that’s an important quality needed to reach her goal.

HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE

On September 19th, 1997, Hisako entered this world, birthed to two wonderful parents. Her father was a hardworking man, owning a successful manga shop in Tokyo. His check alone was able to pay the bills and get his family by comfortably, allowing his wife to stay at home with their child. At the age of three years old, Hisako became a big sister to a baby boy. From an early start she was fond of her little brother. They got along very well and enjoyed each other’s presence. They weren’t best friends by any means, but they couldn’t imagine their lives without each other either.

Grew up in a normal life for the most part. She started school at the age of five. Rarely ever did she encounter issues at school. She had many friends and did exceedingly well in her studies. Her parents were always there to help her when needed and they taught her how important the learning process itself was. The same went for her brother.

As Hisako grew up in her early years, she constantly heard one group spoken about over the national news and radio, the X-Men. A group of heroic mutants. Hisako had been introduced to the term mutant at a very young age, considering there were several in her family history. The more she heard of this team, the more interested she became. They suddenly became her icons. She was aware of the public’s view of mutants, but didn’t care. By then she knew there was nothing wrong with being one, and found that it might even be cool to have such abilities. Even though the family had a mutant past, never did she think one day she’d be one herself.

DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009)

On April 12th of 2010, Hisako’s once peaceful world took a turn for the worst. Over the past few days, she’d read headlines from news reports and newspapers concerning Apocalypse and the events he had been causing. But on this particular day, the attacks hit Tokyo. The Eye of Horus opened and released its power upon the world. With that, all hell broke loose in Japan. Between the volcanos and tsunamis, it seemed as if the world was literally going to end. Things were looking pretty bad for Hisako and her family. It seemed as if there was practically nowhere to go, that maybe this was really the end. They couldn’t just give up though. They decided driving north might be a good option. It was as they were running to their car that something oddly changed. The frantic crowd has suddenly become quiet, then began to…cheer. Hisako was confused as to why they’d be doing such a thing, especially right before their death. Between the movements of the crowd, the young girl could see something she recognized on the other side, a certain symbol. It was the X-Men. They’d come, they’d saved them. Some damage had been done to her town, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed or rebuilt.

POST-APOCALYPSE

As the world began to rebuild itself, Hisako’s life went back to the way it was before. Normal days at school, coming home, spending time with family, etc. She didn’t live a too exciting life, and didn’t really mind it. What she didn’t know was that it was going to become really interesting. On evening, the Ichiki family was on their drive home from the heart of Tokyo. Hisako’s mom was sleeping in the passenger seat while her father drove. Her brother was being rambunctious and started to mess with her. She unbuckled her seat belt and started to tickle him in return. The kicking of his chair and loud, uncontrollable laughter was getting on their father’s nerves. He turned around, getting onto the two children, telling Hisako to get her seat belt back on. While getting onto the kids, he missed the stop sign ahead of them. As she was moving back to her seat, a car collided with theirs at the intersection, sending Hisako through the front windshield of the car. She skidded across the road and off into a ditch.

She was stunned at first, bracing herself for all sorts of pain to hit once the adrenaline rush went away. Oddly enough, there was no pain. She opened her eyes to see red around her, all around her. She was laying there in the center of this 8 foot tall shell. It had completely protected her from the damage of the crash. She sat up, looking down at the rest of her body. This was so cool, she herself was a mutant! She grinned, excited to show the rest of her family. Then she remembered, she wasn’t the only one in the car. She slowly stood up, adjusting to this new way of transportation. Step by step, she walked over to the car. Her father and brother were fine, but her mother had banged her head up pretty bad. A trip to the emergency room sufficed. Hisako’s family wasn’t as shocked as she was at the thought of being a mutant. After all, it wasn’t the rarest occurrence in their family.

PURIFIERS

The Purifiers didn’t have a direct impact on Hisako. Although hearing how mutants in America were being treated upset her greatly. It only made her wonder how her X-Men were doing or if the same thing would be happening in Japan. These were worrisome times for her. Mutant persecution wasn’t a huge deal where she lived. In fact, some were okay knowing they were around mutants. By now Hisako had become comfortable with her abilities and was starting to understand them.

SKRULLS

The Skrull invasion brought much fear to Hisako, as well as practically every other person who was aware of it. The telecast introducing the Skrull streamed across television screens throughout Tokyo. Hisako’s father left his shop early that day and rushed to the kid’s school, picking them up early as many others were. The family took refuge in their home, listening to a portable radio for news alerts. Hisako was upset though. She felt as if she should be out there, protecting people and saving lives. She had a gift, why not put it to good use? Why couldn’t she be like the X-Men, using their powers for a good cause? She could, and that’s when it became clear, she wanted to.

ILLUMINATI

On February 1st of 2013, one of the best things that could ever happen for Hisako happened. The X-Men’s place of residence became public and, lucky for Hisako, the place was also a school for mutants. Ever since the Skrull invasion, she’d made it obvious to her family what her goal was. She’d be an X-Man someday. So when the institute became public, it was obvious what Hisako would do. Her family was comfortable with her decision to leave Japan for the school and were willing to support her in any way possible.

On February 12th, Hisako arrived at the school. She was absolutely ecstatic and couldn’t wait to take part in the school’s activities. She soon realized that she’d arrived at an interesting time. Just within a month of her being there, many strange things had happened. A crazy chick had bombed several areas around the world and just a few weeks later the leader of the X-Men was murdered. This all was confusing and Hisako felt unsure at times. She’d for so long dreamt of being where she was. She wasn’t just going to let it all go. Over the next few weeks, strange things continued to go on throughout the school. The Dark X-Men were especially scary towards Hisako. She’d looked up to these people and heard of the notable things they did. Now, they were evil… Thankfully they were stopped.

CURRENT HISTORY

Since the Illuminati, Hisako has come to enjoy the school. She is attending all her classes, passing with great grades. Hisako has even involved herself with many extracurricular activities at the school. Training is a big part of her life, wanting to do the best she possibly can. Her powers have been a blessing to her, one she so highly cherishes, and she wishes to prove it by gaining control over it and using it for good causes. Every now and then she'll use it for fun-related reasons, but not too often.

In the year she's been in America, she's slowly begun to learn of the culture. Many Japanese customs are still easily seen in Hisako, and more than likely always will be. At heart, Japan will always be her home, but being with the X-Men is the best thing that's ever happened to her. Sure, weird things happen every once and a while, but that just adds on to the excitement. Over winter break, Hisako ventured back to her hometown in Japan to spend time with her family. In the days she had there, Hisako had plenty of stories to share with her family and old friends. Her fathers business is still doing great. Each month, her family sends her a 'care package'. These usually contain shippable foods, DVD's, cute little toys, a photo or two, money, and some of her favorite magazines.

SAMPLE RP POST:

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Hisako groaned, reaching over towards her alarm clock. After fumbling around with it, she finally got the dang thing to shut up. She sat up, rubbing her eyes while releasing a big yawn. Forcing her eyes open only made her want to close them again. The mirror across from her bed revealed the crazed appearance she’d acquired overnight. Her jet black hair was a beast, and it was in dire need of taming.

Pushing her blankets back, she pulled her feet out and onto the floor, sliding out of bed. She yawned once more, stretching as she did so. She wasn’t the biggest morning person, but didn’t let others notice. After making her bed, she ran off to the bathroom, showering and getting ready for the day. She had another day of school ahead of her. She didn’t mind school at all, just the morning process wasn’t fun. Hisako fixed her hair and got dressed, putting on a pair of dark tights, a plaid mini skirt, white button-up shirt, and a blue jacket with the school’s logo on it. The school didn’t require the students wear uniforms, she just liked the school-girl look.

Grabbing her backpack, she took off towards the cafetorium. If she wanted to get through the morning okay, food was an absolute must. She stepped into the line, filled with students and other residents. After grabbing a banana and some cereal, she found a table. She was a little early, so her friends hadn’t really arrived yet. She picked out a table, setting her food-covered tray on it. She slumped her backpack down, standing up against one of the table’s legs. Pulling her chair out, she sat down and began to eat. The food began to make her feel awake, finally having something in her stomach.

Within the next five minutes, many students had left the cafetorium. Her friends still hadn't arrived. It was apparent now that she'd been ditched (or that they were extremely late). Hisako looked over at the clock hanging above the empty food line. 8:15, time to head to class. She stood up, after putting her backpack on and grabbing her tray, she slid her chair up to the table and headed towards a trash can. Once throwing away the empty cereal bowl and banana peel, Armor placed the tray atop the pile of others, proceeding to her first class.

Although she was good at it, Geometry wasn't one of Hisako's favorite classes, especially this early in the morning. So the lonely walk there was full of dreadful, horrifying, geometric thoughts. She could only imagine the lesson her teacher had picked out for them. Learning wasn't always fun, but it was vital, just as her parents had taught her.

Well, the sample is pretty sparse, as is the current history, and if you were a new player I would ask for you to work on both of those sections, but you've been here a while so I know you are better than this app shows.

I'll give you your first stamp, then, but it's pretty likely that another admin is going to ask for a clean up on those section.

Looking back at it, you're totally right. I didn't realize how little I had in both. On that's note, I'm going to add onto the suggested categories and will post again once I've completed.

Sorry we've not been on the ball with this Brody, its nothing personal so please don't worry. I have one or two concerns about the personality being a tiny bit two dimensional, but I think you'll benefit a lot more if I approve you now and you explore Armor in game. There is no rule against having two characters in the same faction/area but the trick is to make them different and get them involved in different things so that you still get plenty of variety. You can always talk to me if you need help with stuff like this, or any other member of staff too.
