Time was a constant that was hard to keep track of when you were fathoms beneath the surface of the ocean and there was no way to see where the sun, or the moon was in the sky. There were clocks that told you what time it was on the surface, but those clocks meant nothing when you were kept inside of the same vehicle for day after day, with no way to tell what was changing in the world beyond the walls of the StarJammer.

There were other constants that Joseph was finding down below the waves though, ones that were harder for him to tune out with nothing to distract him, after the initial awe of the ship had warn off, after the clone had explored of much of the ship as he was allowed to without appearing rude to Scott's father, or to his crew, he had begun to notice that his senses, those gifted to him by his powers were beginning to become more apparent - he could sense the variations in the earth's magnetic field, each little fluctuation in the field he could feel and it was an odd feeling, knowing where that field was stronger, or where it was weaker. The other though that was new. It was the feeling that made Joseph feel as if he was little more than a compass for this particular exploration, ever since they had left New York, Joseph had become more and more aware of the pull towards their destination.

It was after all why he was here, he was to lead them to wherever Magneto was being kept prisoner. But it was these new feelings and senses that were disrupting the clone. He had been trying to get to sleep for the past hour when the clone finally decided to give up, the buzzing noise that was continuously at the edge of his peripheral was not going to go anywhere, and so sleep wasn't an option until he was so tired that he passed out.

Opening up the bag that Joseph had brought with him, he reached for a smaller cloth bag that clinked as he moved out of his quarters and into what counted as the living room of the StarJammer, the place where the crew would go when they weren't sleeping or working. Sitting himself by the table, Joseph opened the drawstring bag and poured the marble sized ball bearings onto the table. As they all began to scatter in different directions, Joseph reached out with his powers and halted them in his tracks.

This was one of the earlier exercises that he had been given when he had first came into his powers, starting with fewer ball bearings but as he gained confidence he had gained more. And now he was at the point where he could confidently control the lot without fear of losing them.

One by one, as he focused the ball bearings began to draw back towards him, as Joseph continued to try and distract himself from the everything else that was on his mind at the moment.
