Date: 5’th of April Time: 11.30 am It was such a beautiful day out; the sun was shining brightly on a blue sky with only a few white cotton clouds to be spotted here and there. It wasn’t quite warm enough to be without a jacket outside, but not so cold you had to wear a thick coat, gloves and scarves like it had been for quite a while. The branches on bushes and trees had small green sprouts on them, promising a green summer; a welcome change from the white, cold and dark winter that had just passed. White and pink flowers were covering the various fruit trees and the song from birds returning from their winter getaway could be heard all around. It was impossible to not smile when taking a stroll outside and Lucy Saint was no exception to this. Wearing her hair in a tight ponytail, her face was bared to the world and on it was a small smile indicating that she was happy and couldn’t keep it in. It felt good to feel happiness again and not worry about the future or letting the past be a fact that painted the present and the young nurse intended to enjoy every minute of this feeling. For far too long she had been in a dark place, feeling inadequate and useless to the world, despite having strength that few could withstand. She had been isolating herself from the school and everyone in it, by concentrating passionately about her work, not having bothered with socializing with her friends and lovely colleagues. Something she had recently found out that she missed more than expected and as she walked through the grounds of the institute, she could feel a knot of guilt tighten in her stomach; she had been so closed off to the children for the longest of times, despite having always tried to find time and energy to love them all in the past. She tightened the belt of her black jacket, trying to get rid of that feeling; sure she had been distant for a while, but she wasn’t anymore and there was no doubt in her mind that like her friends who had welcomed her ‘back’ with opened arms and happiness that she had finally found her way again, the children and her colleagues wouldn’t hold anything against her. Why, who said they had even noticed? She took a deep breath letting the familiar scent of spring fill her nostrils and lunges and exhaled with a bright smile. She walked up to a few benches and sat down looking out over the grounds and the kids playing, enjoying their day off. |

Superstrength/ Invulnerability/ Not Called Bruiser

Spring was pretty. That was one of the awesome things about New York compared to California, seasons! Though really, her home state would always win out in the end. But, New York was like the second best state ever. Seasons. Plus spring was an awesome reason to be able to wear her Captain America hoodie and of course, she had an eagle hat to go with it. It made her feel freaking badass. Plus, you could never be sure if and when the Captain was going to drop by the school again so she wanted to be ready to impress and since she had defeated Doom, she'd been doing a lot of that. Y'just never knew when they would come and make you a senior SHIELD agent or something. She had just finished a game of dodge ball. Of course, her team had won and strangely, Molly wasn't feeling too great about it. It had been way too easy. There was just no challenge with kids her age anymore. Maybe she should call up Tommy and ask him to come over and play... Musing that, the Princess Powerful was now prowling the grounds looking for some mischief that she could go and get herself in on. Tommy would be up for mischief. Oh, she should totally call him...Bouncing on the balls of her feet, she started to hop around. Now she just needed to find someone who could help with that. "Hey, can I borrow your phone?!" Having asked this several times around the grounds by now, she was silently honing in on the school nurse. Somewhere, the Jaws music was playing. "HEY!" Molly exclaimed and pounced up on to the bench beside Lucy. "I need a phone! Can I borrow your phone?" |

Having been looking out on the other students playing and a few colleagues around, Lucy hadn’t noticed that a little bundle of energy was gaining in on her, like a cheetah did to its prey. It was all too late when she finally saw something move out from the corner of her eye, as Molly quickly jumped up on the bench with a loud greeting. The nurse jumped a little in her seat and let out a gasp of surprise placing her hand over her beating heart. “Oh dear Lord, Molly! You scared me!” she chuckled trying to calm her pulse down a little. “Why would you need a phone?” she asked while leaning to the side, trying to fish out her cellphone from her pocket. She looked it over and saw she had a text from Pete; probably just another one of those weird pictures he found on the internet with cute captions over. Something like a duck giving advice or some redneck talking about incest. She quickly swiped away from it and went into her phonebook ready for Molly to call “It won’t be long distance, right?” she asked a bit suspicious, wondering if the girl might miss her mom. “I heard about Doom. That was quite impressive. You’ve grown very strong, huh?” |

Molly stared with big eyes and shrugged a little as Lucy said that she had scared her. “Gotta stay sharp in the hero game!” Bouncing down from the bench, she shrugged as the question came. “Cause I need to call Tommy Shepherd. It’s okay, he’s a SHIELD agent,” the young girl nodded her head wisely, her hat bouncing gently. “He’ll like, only be in the city, s’cool. Unless he got sent to Wakanda,” an evil grin blossomed across her face. Okay, that was mean. The young bruiser knew he wasn’t going to be in Wakanda, as he’d promised to tell her if he was going to get sent anyplace cool. And Wakanda was seriously on the top of the awesome places list. She shrugged again as Lucy said she’d gotten strong, then shook her head. “I’m not stronger than I used to be - I can just last longer now before I get tired and fall asleep, that’s the trick with my powers y’see. I’m gonna get stronger when I grow but it’s like...proportionate? I’m gonna one day just like, Hulk out. Or something.” Already her attention span was waning on the subject, but Molly dragged it back and grinned widely at her. “Soo, can I? I promise I’ll be like, two minutes. I just wanna say hi.” And ask when I can visit the Helicarrier, but Miss Lucy doesn’t need to know that, nope… Princess Powerful beamed. She totally had this. Oh yes, there was a visit to SHIELD in her near future. And candy. Tommy would totally let her have as much candy as she could physically eat. And then some. “Pleeeease?” |
