So just talking a bit with Steve and Fuse a bit in the cbox, we decided that we are gonna try running a Borderlands 2 campaign on PC (steam) with each other. So kind of making an open call to those would want to join us, new characters and stuff (it'd be my first time really playing). We could use a 4th for whomever is available when we play. Fuse is talking about possibly recording it and putting it on Youtube. I'm currently planning on playing Salvador/The Gunzerker. I think Fuse is talking about playing Gaige/The Mechromancer, and Steve playing Maya/The Siren. My steam account is hellskaiser for those who want to add me. If there does end up being videos they'll get posted here. Just gonna be kind of a loose fun sort of thing for those who want to play. I just think it'd be cool to either have a set four, or a rotating cast for when someone can't play or whatever. Just thought I'd post this up. Players involved: Brett (Other)Steve Fuse |

Time: 4 in the evening Date: 5/14/2014 At least one of them was clinically insane. Ros had decided that the very day that Miss Dani Moonstar crashed his life. She confused him in a way that no other teacher could, and he was never sure if he should be in awe of her, or afraid of her. Trying to figure out what to say to her was a task. Like a blind man looting for his portrait in a bizarre. Although technically that was one of Guildenstern's lines. When she asked him to do something it was less of a request and more of an expectation of his performance. Miss Moonstar poked, prodded and bullied him into doing things. It was indeed a dictatorship. She utterly bulldozed him. Which was where his possible insanity came in. He liked knowing what his relationship to people was, even if he would drag his heels to say it aloud. He also needed to know how he stood in others eyes. Maybe it was just a shadow of his childhood, but Ros felt the need to please any soul that showed interest in him. Who knows why Miss Moonstar had decided that she was going to be his mentor, but the teen had a burning need to find out. His behavior that first day was less than exemplary, and his almost cold approach to her since could not have painted him in a positive way. For this he was sorry, but still did not wish to compromise his convictions. Miss Moonstar had goad him into using his powers around quite possibly the worst student to use that green energy near. Zoe might be beyond feeling pain, but she was also beyond being healed. A bad shot could have handicapped them both. The promise of archery had been too great for Ros to ignore. It was a way for him to work on his mutation without actually using it. That and Ros had read far too many fantasy novels to not want to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow. But rather than going straight up to Miss Moonstar and reversing their roles by bulldozing her, Ros was hanging back, following her walk through the halls like a ghost or a puppy that lost his owner. Or a stalker, Ros thought ruefully. What was that saying? Stalking is when two people go for a walk and only one knows it? If that was true, being a stalker was easier early in the day when he could keep an eye out for his alleged mentor on his way to and from classes. now in the awkward pre-meal hour the students mostly tried staying away from classrooms. As interesting as classes could be here at Xavier's, it was still a school with teens. Teens that had lives outside of calculus and English lit. At least he looked like a dork who would spend his spare time hanging around classrooms. Zoe had been right about him benefiting from glasses. The prescription wasn't strong, but Ros had chosen the sort of frames that typically have thick lenses. He didn't even need to wear them most of the time. It was just nice to wear them on days like today when his eyes were a little sore. When combined with the military style cap he had received as a birthday present, Ros thought his ears stuck out a bit, but not in a goofy way. Th hat was necessary because once again, Ros had forgotten to get his hair cut and his bangs got in the way if not. Odd how he could recite line for line the play he'd taken his name from, but not remember to get his hair cut when it got this shaggy. |

Ah, Dani was starting to think she lost her touch with the kids. Maybe she was officially into old lady out of touch stage? It was certainly possible as anytime she offered to do a Danger Room training session with any of the eligible Xavier kids they balked and were suddenly very busy. What could she possibly do? Well, she certainly couldn’t change at this point, she was who she was. Maybe she could become a better Dani, but there were some elements of her personality that were likely permanent. At this time of day, Dani liked to keep busy, before dinner and was walking around the second floor mostly to see if anyone was in need of her assistance. Earlier, she felt someone was following her and while she was inclined to slam that person against the wall and ask what that was about, Dani thankfully caught a reflection of Ros before she pounced. Poor kid. Maybe he had no friends?? She thought she told Zoe to be his friend. And was he really following her around like some kind of lost little puppy? It was kinda cute in that sad adorable, you ought to hug children more, sort of way. As she made an unnecessary turn she stopped as her middle finger tapped lightly on her lips, feigning deep thought at the moment when in reality her only concern was dinner and maybe an evening workout. Grinning, she used this opportunity to catch Ros off guard and teach him basic self defense as she turned around and moved swiftly behind his current hiding spot, tapping on his shoulder with a bit too much force. “Tag.” Her eyes squinted at his new appearance. Hat and glasses. Good for him, but that meant that his being spotted earlier on was due to his lack of stealth and not eyesight. He’d have to work on that. “So care to tell me why you’re stalking me? It’s alleged I’m adorable, but even I know I’m not that adorable. Except when I win a game and get to do an end zone dance. That’s very adorable and annoying as I’m in their face, ha. Okay, I’ll stop. Nice glasses by the way. It’s like that whole cool retro hipster look.” She paused as she analyzed Ros’ facial expression. Somehow she got the feeling he both wanted to talk to her and dreaded it all at the same time as if though she were his executioner of sort. Didn’t quite make sense to her as she thought of herself as quite the amicable person, unless on the field. He hadn’t even seen ugly yet. “What can I do for you?” |

Miss Mooonstar had told him what her powers were in detail. There was very little ambiguity in what she could do, even if she did not say nearly as much about what her limitations were. One thing that Ros could claim with confidence was that she did not have any magical transportation powers. So it wasn't that she had used her powers to get behind him to startle him, she had just noticed him and managed to get the jump on him. To his great pleasure he did not bring up any of his unique energy to defend himself with. An arrow casually tossed to him would fall victim, but a tap on his shoulder didn't do anything. Of course Ros jumped at the sudden contact, but he was grinning at his own control. "I shouldn't say anything about that," Ros said when Miss Moonstar started rambling about her being adorable. He had seen a few adorable girls around the school to be sure. Some he'd say went beyond just adorable. But at this point in his life Ros wasn't an active part of the dating world. You couldn't quite call it shyness, because he had gone on a few dates in the past, and Ros had no issue with talking to girls. It was only if there was an audience watching his every movement that the teen was making did Ros's mouth and throat refuse to operate properly. Ros knew that at times people had a hard time understanding him in conversations. He usually ended up thinking of multiple things that related to whatever the topic was, and then he took it one step further and started thinking of things that those things connected to. Topic "a" which was what everyone else was still on, and he would pop in with topic "g", not realizing that he had skipped the letters in between. Miss Moonstar's observation of his glasses confused the teen just as much as he usually confused others. Not because he didn't get why she felt the need to comment on them. He hadn't had them the last time they had met. No what got him was the comment about being hipster. "Everyone keeps using that word. Can't it just be retro?" But the term hipster, and whether or not he was one, was not what he had been stalking Miss Moonstar for. To be honest he was not sure quite how to explain what it was that he did want of his mentor. Probably the closest that he could come to explaining it was just mentorship. There were questions he had about his powers that nobody had really been able to answer well enough for him. Most often it was just the stock answer of "it will get easier". But mutations aren't always the same, and not everyone learned to deal with them by the same methods. "I wanted to make a formal apology for my behavior when we first met," Ros said after a moment of silent thinking. At least that much he knew he was going to have to say. His parents had taught him good manners, and by not using them Ros felt as though he had let his mom and dad down. "I wasn't acting like the kind of person my parents raised me to be, and I'm sorry for loosing my temper." |

“Apology accepted,” she told him. It was really that simple. However, there was something he needed to know and it was perhaps best if she took him away from this place, so they could discuss private mentoring matters. Plus, she was hungry and those around Dani knew she was a bit of a hungry bear, when hunger pangs struck her. She grabbed his shoulder and told him in a most serious tone, “Grasshopper, we must discuss severe things. Follow me.” She turned back around to see if he was still following her and winked. “We’re going on an adventure. One where great food can be had. Interested?” She didn’t give him a chance to respond. “Good.” Now she hadn’t planned on literally kidnapping him, but it seemed to be the best idea to get him out of the school for an hour or two. The poor kid didn’t seem to get out much and truthfully, Dani needed practice on dealing with all types of adolescents. Though it hadn’t been decades upon decades since she’d been one herself, she still felt very far removed from them. “You know we say things when we’re upset. It’s how we deal with the reality afterwards that mattered. Besides you’re better than me. I would have punched myself at your age. But then again, I got into a lot of fights.” She paused thoughtfully. “And I might still be a bit of a fighter, but that’s another story for another time. When you’re 21. Now come on, we gotta go.” //OOC: Continued in Out With the Old// |
