Time: A little after 7pm

There was still some time until Harada had to give his own presentation - extolling the virtues of nuclear power and how the power plants that have been considered to be out of reach of the every day world for the past hundred years, were in fact just as plausible in this modern age and Harada was going to make sure that it was AmaTech that brought them to the shores of Japan. Harada owned the nuclear power plants in his home country and if he could show to the rest of the world that fusion was viable in one country, then there would be plenty of countries willing to pay him for his technology.

Of course he was not alone in his speech tonight, there were others of the club here with him, and naturally he had offered to escort the two queens this evening, given they were to be attending his presentation to the rest of the people that were gathered at the expo.

His driver brought the car to the stop, where those who were worth their weight in social status were dropped off by their drivers. He was the first out of the car and offered his hand to them both to help them out, as was proper from someone that was lesser in station to them.

"There is still some time until I am set to take the stage, would you care to see some of the exhibits before I have to leave you both?" This wasn't his first day at the expo, he had made sure to attend all the other presentations, however he had been more interested in attending them rather than exploring what the expo had to offer elsewhere.

There were perhaps other presentations he could have given for this event - something on his biotechnology lines, or about tachyons. However biotechnology was already being covered and Harada did not want to use his powers in technology, they afforded him some advantage in the field and he wasn't about to start giving that to every Tom, Dick and Harry that wanted powers like his own.

The Stark Expo was turning out to be something of the event of the year and not just in terms of scientific excellence and all-round innovation. Certainly, anyone who was important in the fields represented would be there and those not so important would be hanging on, looking to make connections. If her parents had not died so unexpectedly all those years ago now, Betsy could have seen them exhibiting there themselves. They would have been right at home. But plenty of people who didn’t work in a lab would be there, wanting to see the future, the new and exciting. It was just as much about showmanship with some of the displays and that was proven in the large areas given over for the sake of general fun. Most tempting was going to see 'Lola'. A flying car? Well that was pretty much her dream come true, all rolled into one sleek red machine.

It wasn’t her first day at the Expo either, but Betsy grinned as Ken offered to escort them for a little while before he took to the stage. “Ooh, yes. I’ve been several times and I still don’t think I have seen everything yet. How about you Tessa?” she turned her purple head towards her fellow Queen, well aware that she too had been around the event but likewise, still probably had some spots to see. When you were at an event for business, it was not the same as simply attending for the sake of it. “I also must say...I’d quite like some candy floss,” Betsy grinned, feeling a little childish as her mind wandered to the amusement area. But who didn’t like candy floss? She was quite certain that sort of person was very few and far between.

Dressed for the evening in a white gown, Betsy walked easily beside her fellow members of the Inner Circle. This was the closest thing to a night off, well at least for her, since the Club had formally reopened. Things were getting back on track. And while she would not dream of using such a legitimate event to make ties for Hellfire, well, she was running into people here and there, but casually. It was a break. A change of scene, and it seemed to be doing them all some good.
