![]() Kellan Lutz BASIC INFORMATION CANON OR ORIGINAL: Canon AFFILIATION: Defenders FULL NAME: Brian Falsworth CODENAME: Destroyer NICKNAMES: Bri CURRENT AGE: Twenty Five DATE OF BIRTH: November 16 1988 MARITAL STATUS: Single SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Homosexual BASE OF OPERATIONS: Flatiron Building, New York TIME AT INSTITUTE: N/A REGISTERED WITH SHIELD? Yes HOMETOWN: Maidstone, Kent, United Kingdom KNOWN RELATIVES: Montgomery Falsworth Sr – Grandfather Montgomery Falsworth Jr – Father Katherine Falsworth - Mother John Falsworth – Uncle Jacqueline Falsworth - Sister PHYSICAL APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 6’0” BUILD: Muscular – Because of his powers, Brian has a high metabolism rate which means the storing of fat is practically impossible for the mutant. Because of this and regular exercise and training, Brian has a well-toned physique that has been honed continuously in the past few years. EYES: Brown HAIR: Sandy blond DISTINGUISHING MARKS: None CLOTHING STYLE: Utilitarian to the max, Brian goes for clothing that is comfortable and functional before fashion and colour. While this is partly to do with the fact that fashion has very little point when you are serving another’s cause. But also stems from Brian’s life before he was brainwashed. Fashion and expensive clothing are all part of the capitalist machine that stands for everything that Brian despises, so even before he signed up with the Brotherhood, he shirked looks and labels in favour of practicality and cost. UNIFORM: At present as The Destroyer, Brian possess a custom uniform to fit this guise. The black armoured body suit, is emblazoned with a white skull upon it. This body suit is accented with red gloves and boots. Brian’s face is also made up somewhat to de-humanise him further, with an almost chalk white appearance, with black accenting around his eyes, and to remove his former identify further, he wears a lower face mask in the same red and black tones to blend in with the rest of his uniform, which also provides him with some resistance to airborne agents. As The Destroyer, Brian is also equipped with a M16A4 assault rifle with a flash and sound suppressor equipped to allow him to carry out the duties that Hyde requires of him. POWERS GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Brian’s powers come from two sources firstly there is his mutant x-gene, that provides him with the powers to project electrical blasts at his opponents, the second comes from a series of experiments performed by Mister Hyde which was a crude attempt at recreating the formula used to produce Captain America. The results of which left Brian further enhanced through these enhancements were far from the success that they looking for, and nor were they anywhere near the levels of success that was achieved when Captain America was created. Electrokinesis: Brian’s true offensive power, though it is rather limited in its output. Brian’s body is physically adapted to the production of electricity, similar to the electric eel, his body contains a series of specialised organs that contain electrolytes and store charge ready for discharge. These organs are capable of producing and storing a charge of greater than 200,000 volts and with an amplitude of somewhere in the region of 30,000 amperes which is more than enough to kill a human being if struck directly with a fully charged bolt of lightning. The electrical charges created by these organs are released through special sodium channels in the palm of Brian’s hands, resulting in his hands being the only location on his body that he can discharge these bolts from. Once discharged from his hands, the bolts of lightning are beyond Brian’s control, his powers operate a very basic point and click interface. He points, he discharges and the lightning bolt arcs across the air until it strikes something or it has exceeded a distance of forty feet. Once beyond that the energy in the lightning bolt disperses into the atmosphere and becomes harmless in milliseconds. While Brian has no control over the lightning once it has been released from his palms, he does have finite control over the damage that each strike can do. While he cannot control it down to singular volts or amps, he can control roughly whether it will harm, shock, or stun an opponent. Though given that electrical shocks react differently for each person, what might stun one person could kill someone else. It’s not an exact science, and Brian likely won’t ever have that amount of control over his powers. Beyond the obvious lightning bolts that erupt from his hand, the only other obvious physical sign of his electrokinetic powers is a blue glow around his eyes that appears as he discharges the lightning. Peak-Human Strength: As a result of the experiments into the super soldier serum (SSS) Brian was gifted with the ability for peak-human strength. While he is not super strong, Brian is capable of bench pressing one thousand pounds, and leg pressing upwards of 2500lbs. Regular handcuffs and non-reinforced metals provide little resistance to his strength, though anything that is designed to resist those with super-strength is easily resistant to his added strength. Peak-Human Agility: Placed in the ranks of Olympic athletes, Brian has a level of agility that allows him to scale buildings without the need of ropes or harnesses, and perform acrobatic acts, and acts of balance that are well beyond the means of the average human. With a run up Brian is capable of jumping roughly six meters horizontally, and without a run up he can reach roughly half of that distance. Peak-Human Stamina: Brian is capable of operating at maximum capacity for roughly six hours before any signs of physical fatigue begin to kick in, his body can also cleanse itself of lactic acid and toxins faster than the average human being Peak-Human Durability: Brian’s body is physically adapted to taking punishment better than an average human can. He’s capable of falling from a height of two stories without breaking a bone, and can take beatings better than most. Given that Brian doesn’t have a healing factor, when he does get injured he’s going to take just as long as a regular human would to recover. Peak-Human Speed: Brian is capable of running at speeds of up to 40 mph, these bursts of speed however can only be maintained for short periods of time, much in the same way an Olympic sprinter can maintain high speeds for a minute at most. If choosing to run at a slower speed, Brian can maintain that speed for much longer with little physical harm to his body. WEAKNESS: Given that Brian’s electricity is biological in nature, there is only a finite amount of power that can be stored inside of his organs. His organs are capable of storing enough energy to project ten full powered bolts of lightning. When drained completely, Brian is left feeling fatigued and weary, and has to recoup through the consumption of calories and electrolytes to rebalance the organs and recharge himself. Also although Brian is capable of projecting lightning, that does not make him immune to it, his body is insulated from his own powers, but lightning and electricity from external sources also affects him in the same way that it would affect any other being. The rest of Brian’s powers come from a diluted version of the super soldier serum, and that version of the serum was weak at best. While his powers are stable, they are far from the levels that they were intended to be, and barely register on the super-human scale. Therefore while he can pack a punch, he is still very much as killable as every other Tom, Dick and Harry. Brian has no resistance against mental manipulation, or from telepaths, nor does he have any real defence against superhuman powers in general beyond his peak physical attributes. Also given that his body generates the electricity that fuels Brian’s powers, his body requires a higher calorie intake than the average human, with his body needing a little over 4000 calories a day rather than the 2000 that are recommended. PERSONALITY Brian is as far from a cookie cutter hero as physically possible, to the point even where he actively tries to discourage people from trying to label him as a hero. He grew up with his sister hearing tales of true heroes, and while Jac bought into them, Brian opted for a different path in life, one that was not opposite to the path of the hero, but more of an activist. Fighting for what is right in the world rather than defending the good and just. As one might expect of someone that is an activist, Brian has opinions of a host of hot topic issues ranging from war, environmental damage and global warming, the issue of equality and the need for governments to be accountable to those that they are serving. These opinions are not always popular, and had his life gone in a different direction then it would not have been entirely out of the question for him to have been serving upon a Greenpeace ship out in the arctic or for him to be protesting against war in faraway climes. It perhaps surprising to see such pacifism and a lack of interest in patriotism given his family’s history, but in many ways it was that patriotism that was inborn in his family that pushed him away from blind loyalty to the country that he has not returned home to in some time. The question begs to differ then why would he be working for a faction that is known for its secrets, it’s underhandedness in world affairs and lack of accountability. It is true that it is an environment that Brian finds incredibly uncomfortable, but he does it for one reason alone: Jac. His baby sister, while he might not see eye to eye with his family, he would still go to the ends of the Earth for them and he has done. When his younger sister was discovered as part of the Brotherhood, Brian gave up his life and infiltrated the organisation to ensure that his sister was safe, and once again he is following her around to make sure that his kid sister is still avoiding trouble (which he’s doing a terrible job of so far). A man that is secure in his morals and knows himself incredibly well, Brian still holds many virtues that are considered typical of the British stereotype. He is a chivalrous individual willing to help those even at the endangerment of himself, no matter the cost, he will fight for what is right, though he will never be the one to strike the first blow – and his reactions are never to respond with violence either, even though his build and powers would suggest that he is a bruiser through and through. Instead he opts for the path of perhaps most resistance, why fight when you can harm your enemies through bringing their acts to the attention of the public? While many might see Brian as an airheaded socialist, that belongs in the sixties putting flowers into the barrels of guns, beneath the outward exterior, Brian is a bright mind and could have gone a lot further than what he did in his life if he had followed the more mainstream approach to education. Having travelled many of the lesser walked paths in the world, as well as being a very talented linguist – Brian has learnt to speak German, Arabic, Russian, some conversational Cantonese, and a little of some of the more common African languages. Brian has picked up enough of these languages to help him get by when he was working in some of the most deprived and more dangerous parts of the world. Confident in himself, and who and what he is, he is open with those around him and prefers to let those around him see him for what he truly is rather than trying to put on a new face for everyone that he comes into contact with. They either take him, or they do not, he is no longer the type that will bend his back to breaking point to try and appease those in his life. Given that Brian attended air cadets for over five years, he has logged enough hours to work towards his pilot license, something that he is rather keen on completing at some point. The Defenders is a new turning point for Brian, he hasn’t ever been on a team like this yet, and it is not something that sits comfortably with him yet. However it is a necessity for him, but for the time being he still feels like he’s currently sat in the enemies camp, even with familiar faces from stories he was told when he was younger being there. HISTORY: PRE-APOCALYPSE All origin stories have to start somewhere and Brian Falsworth’s started on November the 16th 1988, at the time of his birth he was the only child of Katherine and Montgomery Falsworth. Like all people, Brian’s memories of his early life are few and far between, and are often built up from what he’s been told from other members of his family. As a toddler he was happy, and healthy though perhaps not as forward as other children his age, but there was nothing untoward, or wrong with him to cause alarm. When Brian was four and a half years of age, Brian was joined by a younger sister named Jacqueline, taking to the role of older brother like a duck takes to water, Brian instantly began to dote on Jac, a trait that continued on throughout their childhood. Given their grandfather’s history, having served alongside the likes of Captain America, Sub-Mariner, The Human Torch and others as Union Jack, the young kids were brought up on stories of their escapades throughout the War, whenever they visited with Montgomery senior. Given the innocence of youth, Brian along with Jac was enthralled by the stories, hanging off of every word and eager to hear the next part of every story. Once in school Brian quickly proved himself as a bright and studious student, though given he was neither popular, or picked on for being unpopular, he went unnoticed by many while he was at school. Though this worked quite well for the quieter and more reserved of the two siblings, as Brian grew the closeness with Jac also grew despite the fact that Brian shared very little in common with his younger sister. While Brian was given as much room as he wanted to pick and choose what he did outside of school - with the young Brian choosing to play cricket for the local team, cycling, and reading. One thing he was pretty much expected to follow in though was a career in the military and that was something that he had little choice in, even though Brian himself wasn’t overly keen on it. So when he reached thirteen years of age, he was signed up for the local air cadets, which at least got him interacting with more people in general. Teenage years aren’t great for most people, but they are especially bad when you’re a smart kid, who’s relatively quiet, and prefers to keep himself to himself. It didn’t take long for the bullying to start, and Brian suffered largely in silence during it. It was during one particular incident where a group of guys on the way home from school were going out of their way to make Brian’s life a misery, where he met Joey Chapman. While Brian was pretty scrawny and wasn’t one to say boo to a goose, Joey on the other hand stuck up for Brian at his own expense, to make sure that no harm came to Brian, an encounter which lead to the pair becoming firm friends. With age, Brian started to form his own opinions and grow into his own man. One such opinion was that there had to be more to life than killing and taking money for doing it, Brian was deciding with each passing day that he didn’t want to go into the military and follow in the families history. Instead Brian wanted to go to college, he knew this before he’d even started to study for GCSEs, and after college he knew he wanted to go to Cambridge. Doing everything he could to make sure that dream became a reality, he threw his lot in with his books. Reaching college, Brian took on as many subjects as he was allowed to: German, Latin, Maths and the Sciences, Working as hard as he could throughout college, without playing all that hard, Brian achieved the straight A grades he needed to get into university, he was accepted into Cambridge and the following September he had moved out of the family home in Kent and into halls of residence in Cambridge. University turned Brian’s world upside down, it’s while he’s at uni he realises that he’s gay, on top of that his views are growing more and more different to those held by members of his family: War is wrong and that the world has to find another way to solving problems rather than relying on guns, and bombs. While listening to a series of guest lectures at uni, Brian is introduced to the ideas of Marxism and Communism, Brian quickly became a firm believer that wealth needed to be shared between everyone rather than being held by just a few people in the country. That way many of the worlds problems would be solved: hunger, disease, homelessness and fighting over resources. Early on in his freshman year, Jac surprised Brian with a visit to Cambridge, there was clearly something upsetting his younger sister and rather than send her packing back home Brian let her stay with him and during this visit, Jac revealed to Brian about her own mutation and powers. None of these things were the greatest revelation that life had in store for Brian though, that would be the emergence of his own mutant powers during a lab session at uni. Rather than have some big flashy explosion of his powers, instead Brian struggled through a lab with what he believed was a heightened amount of static electricity. It was only when a spark jumped from his hand into a set of scales and fried them that Brian realised that there was something else amiss and quickly excused himself from the remainder of the lab. The static shocks didn’t stop there though, and Brian soon found electricity discharging itself from his hands and it was only once that the lightning had discharged from his hands and left him feeling exhausted did it cease. Over the coming weeks and months, Brian found himself experimenting more and more with these powers, though despite having managed to come out to his parents about his sexuality, coming out as a mutant was not something that he wasn’t prepared to do yet. With Brian’s shifting views of the world, he no longer had time for many of the old things in his life, this was especially true of his friendship with Joey, despite the fact that they were best friends, and this led to Brian spending less and less time with his long time friend. Trouble continued to follow Brian, as he found himself joining groups that were opposed to various views on the world. Given Cambridge’s proximity, the hot topic issue for the area was Huntingdon Labs, and Brian was arrested several times for protesting outside of the labs, which resulted in him being placed upon his final academic warning at the university. The rest of Brian’s time in uni was relatively drama free, Brian and Joey had now completely fallen out as Joey is part of the problem in the world and not part of the solution. Rather than completing his final year though, Brian deferred a year and signed up with an anti-war movement, believing that action at home wasn’t getting any results. Brian started off protesting against the war in Iraq and helping the local people, Brian then moved on to Africa helping with relief efforts for those with illness and starvation. Contact with home was sparse, and travelling home was even rarer, there was the occasional letter sent home but Brian was far too wrapped up in his causes to want to go home. DURING APOCALYPSE (April 7th through April 12th, 2009) Still living away from home following this cause and that cause, in the April of 2009, Brian found himself with a small group of Brits helping with relief in Afghanistan, Brian and his accomplices also made the most of being able to protest outside of American and British military installations to try and show those who are implementing the will of the corrupt governments just what harm they are doing to those in the countries that they are invading. Given the remoteness of parts of Afghanistan it wasn’t until Pestilence’s ride came to neighbouring Pakistan that Brian heard anything of the Apocalypse. With the flow of refugees out of the country, Brian and his friends had it easy slipping across the border and into Afghanistan even though they did not have the necessary paperwork needed to be able to travel there. Although Pestilence had been and gone by the time that Brian and his friends had made it into Pakistan, the damage from the attack was still more than visible and the group set about doing what they could to be able to support those that had been left affected by the Horseman. The process of cleaning up after the Horseman’s ride was not easy, and not without its own problems and Brian was reminded during this time, of just how lucky he had things when he had been in the United Kingdom, and how easy it would be to turn away from all this and return to the ‘safe’ life he had back home. Brian however couldn’t turn back, the people he was working with still had it far worse than he ever had it, and if he could do something to make it even the slightest bit better for them then he would, no matter what it cost him. POST-APOCALYPSE During one of his brief trips into civilisation, Brian caught a headline that would cause the Brit to pack up and return home with as much haste as he could manage. That headline identified his younger sister asa mutant terrorist - a headline that couldn’t possibly be true, Jac was not a terrorist. Returning to the family home, Brian’s stay was short, long enough for him to get the long and the short of what had been going on with Jac, before heading out again Brian is contacted by Joey, the first time that the pair have spoken in years. There’s no news on Jac, and Brian asks for Joey’s help in searching for her, though he’s busy and can’t help - Brian makes sure to make his friend aware of the fact that he owes Jac. The fact that Joey can’t help lead to another argument and Brian left for the states alone, determined to find Jac and bring her home before the authorities can find her. New York is unlike any city that Brian had been in before - it’s massive and he had no idea where to start with finding Jac. Just how do you go about finding an accused terrorist when the authorities are searching high and low for her? Starting off with her so called friends - they are no help to him, in fact they are snide and unhelpful so Brian is continually stuck on square one, the same goes for the NYPD they are overworked and understaffed. Rather than blame himself for not being around to help Jac, Brian instead lashes out at the world - it’s Joey’s and Monty’s fault this has happened as they let it happen on their watch. Rather than inform everyone back home about his lack of results though, Brian kept the knowledge to himself and continued to try and find a way to track his sister down. Months passed and Brian got nowhere with the search, finally Joey made it out to help him, but their reunion only led to more arguing, rather than try and work with someone that he really couldn’t stand working with. Having moved into Mutant Town now, Brian started to look for a way to make contact with the Brotherhood, while he was no terrorist, he had picked up a few bits and pieces from his travels abroad and it doesn’t take him too long for the organisation to find him. The welcome party wasn’t one the one that Brian was expecting, not only had the Acolyte Amelia Voight come to recruit the Brit, but his own sister Jac was there. Brian had other ideas, now that Jac was here, he could take her home and this business would all be other. Plans rarely go the way they are intended to though and Jac wasn’t going to go home with him. Unwilling to lose her again, Brian made the snap decision to go with the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood wasn’t the greatest of fits for Brian however, his pacifist personality didn’t quite mesh with the terrorist organisation however. Magneto wasn’t one to push away talent when he saw it though. Rather than push Brian out, or make an example of him, the leader of Sanctuary instead offers Brian an opportunity teaching languages at the school for mutant children in the city. An offer that Brian accepted, and quickly took to with vigor, despite it not being the outcome that he had wanted, Brian soon found himself settling into the routine in the city. PURIFIERS Given that Brian had no reason to leave Sanctuary now, during the Purifiers attacks, Brian remained in the city where he continued to teach the classes that he was taking on. If anything though the Purifier attacks proved to the pacifist that if something didn’t drastically change in both Humans and Mutants alike, neither species was going to survive for long enough to build a meaningful future for either side. The mood in Sanctuary though was very different - talk of retaliation and vengeance were rife among the citizens, and Brian continued to preach the path that stayed clear of the unneeded violence, but that was easier said and done when you lived in a city that was home to mutant terrorists. After the attack on the school though, Brian was one of the volunteers that would head to the school to search for survivors. Once the dust had settled after the attacks, Brian returned to his role as teacher, shaping the minds of those kids that called Sanctuary home. The calm wouldn’t last for long - especially when Brian received a cryptic message from Jac telling to get out of the city now. Despite his efforts to find out why, Brian had little choice but to drop everything in his life and After returning to Sanctuary Brian gets a message from Jac that he needs to leave Sanctuary and he needs to leave now. Brian flees the city before he is able to be found by those that would look for people who were connected with Jac. Brian is now back in New York and back at square one. Jac is missing and Brian has no idea where she has gone, or what has caused her to flee from the Brotherhood. SKRULLS Finding himself on the surface a wanted terrorist, and a deserter from the Brotherhood, trying to remain off of the radar was no simple task. Brian kept himself on the move and never stayed in any one place for long, given Jac’s sudden disappearance to the hidden pre-historic Savage Land, Brian had no way of finding out if Jac was safe, or if in fact the worst had come to pass. Brian wasn’t one to give into despair though, and he searched high and low for any trace of his sister without any luck. Having returned to Europe as he searched for his sister, Brian first came across Calvin Zabo, who would radically alter the path of Brian’s future and not for the better. Rather than help Brian search for his sister, or let him go for that matter. Brian was beaten, captured and hauled away to deepest, darkest Russia to where Zabo, known as Mister Hyde worked on his experiments in a community known as Greenville. Brian wasn’t fortunate enough to be one of the captives that would be allowed to reside within the community. Instead Brian was kept in a lab as the permanent plaything and test-subject for Hyde. To keep Brian subdued, he is kept on a number of drugs that kept him compliant, which was the only kindness that Brian was shown. The more Brian was experimented on and the more that he was exposed to indoctrination, the more of his humanity was chipped away until the point where Brian is no longer the man he was and is now the moldable clay that Hyde was looking for. Given the remoteness of Greenville and the fact that Brian was kept in a lab throughout the Skrull invasion, Brian was largely unaware of what happened during this time, apart from the fact that there was the period in which he believed the Skrull were his true leaders, even though he had no knowledge of the Skrull or what they were before he entered the lab. CURRENT HISTORY (Illuminati/Phoenix SiteWide) Shortly after the fall of the Skrull, Hyde developed a weaker strain of the Super Soldier Serum in an attempt to be able to recreate the powers of Captain America in new individuals. With a need for a test subject, Hyde picked Brian to be the test subject and he is injected with the formula to see whether it is a success and he survives, or whether it finally kills Hyde’s latest test subject in the most agonising of ways. Thankfully while the formula was agonisingly painful for Brian, it did not kill him, and while Brian was already of decent build, the formula further enhanced him granting him new powers, and making him all the more useful to Mister Hyde. With the last of his humanity stripped away by having his name taken and instead given a title: The Destroyer, Brian was turned from a test subject into a loyal tool for Hyde to use for whatever means he had. Outside of the safety of Greenville and Hyde’s laboratory the world is once again being plunged into darkness. With his new found loyalty to Hyde, The Destroyer was able to garner glimpses into the attacks by the Illuminati and when sent out on missions to retrieve goods, or test subjects, The Destroyer further learned of the moves that the villains have made to bring the world to its knees once again. The Destroyer’s experience with the attacks of the Illuminati became first hand when Vulcan causes the world’s volcanoes to begin erupting and The Shroud plunges the world into darkness. While The Destroyer worked abroad, his works were not entirely unnoticed, reports of sightings of Brian Falsworth made their way back to British Authorities which responded by having Joey Chapman investigate, however as soon as he had been spotted, Brian was gone again back hidden within the walls of Greenville and Hyde’s lab once again. Eventually like all villains, the Illuminati fell, and the world was able to pick itself up and return to some sense of normality. Life within Greenville and Hyde’s labs hardly changed, The Destroyer continued to serve his master as he was directed. Greenville could not remain hidden forever though, and now The Destroyer is being called up to defend that home, without the knowledge that the sister that he had once been searching for had been under his nose for quite some time. SAMPLE RP POST: Date: January 16th, 2014 Time: Dusk Location: Moscow Being the glorified pet of a mad scientist meant that you were often given tasks that would scratch away at the moral fabric that would make up a person’s sense of right or wrong. This was especially true for The Destroyer, but thankfully for him, all sense of right or wrong had been suppressed to such a level that there was no question as to whether what he was doing was right or wrong, there was just the task. Today’s task was that Hyde needed ‘volunteers’ the sort of volunteers that were needed when there were scientific tests that needed to be made, that didn’t call for risking the volunteers that were currently kept within Greenville. These people were the lowest of the low, the sort of people that society wouldn’t missed if they didn’t report in to anywhere. The sort that were already likely diseased, or damaged in some way. They couldn’t be too damaged though, if they were too damaged then there was a risk that whatever gruesome experiments were planned for them could be jeopardised before they got started. So he had to be smart in those that he picked, that required careful watching, and planning before finding the opportune moment to take them back to Hyde’s lab. Kapotnya was a desolate district, oil refineries and cheap run down housing that was left over from the days of the USSR filled the district. Given the need for blending in and the lack of risk in this task, The Destroyer’s uniform was left upon its rack back in his quarters in Hyde’s lab. Instead the soldier was clad in worn clothes that would allow him to blend in with his surroundings; they at least went some way to staving off the cold that the harsh Russian winters tended to throw at the inhabitants of the city. Having arrived in the city the day before, The Destroyer had already found those that he was going to pick up. He’d followed them for long enough to ensure that they weren’t going to be missed and now all he had to do was bring them in and back to the drop off point. If truth be told, the tasks like this were rather dull, they didn’t tax The Destroyer and he barely if ever got to use his powers, but without free will he had no way to question what it was he was doing; or complain about it for that matter. Stood with his back to the lamp post the black hood cast a long shadow over his features, he didn’t need to be recognised, and that was not his task here. Watching the door way that was across the street, Destroyer watched, waiting as the door opened, he’d already been in this vicinity for two hours making sure that no one else was home. There wasn’t and now it was his time to move. Adjusting to the collar of his jacket, he quickly crossed the street and disappeared down into an alley that ran alongside the run down house that he was about to break into. Leaping over the wall, was no great task for him, these people were hardly going to make him break a sweat. The vehicle he had been given for the task was parked behind the building, making for an easier get away. Now all he needed was to get inside of the house and get what he had come here for. Landing with a thud in the snow covered back garden, The Destroyer ran up towards the back door, it was locked, perhaps not surprisingly given the area of the city that they were currently in. That didn’t matter though; a door wasn’t going to stop The Destroyer from getting his prize. Placing his shoulder up against the wooden framed door, he took a step back and barged his weight against it, snapping the lock cleanly and letting the door bang against the damp and mouldy walls that were a faded shade of red. The coming minutes was a blur of activity as he burst forward and the muffled sound of screams and banging could be heard until suddenly there was silence. That was until the sound of heavy boots moving down the stairs could be heard. Draped over the Destroyer’s shoulder was the limp body of the man that he had been here to collect, it was so much easier to collect them when they fought back, and they brought some small amount of amusement to his life. Moving back through the rundown home, Destroyer went back into the back yard that he had entered the property not minutes before with. With the snow crunching beneath his feet, Destroyer made his way down to the gate and out to the vehicle that he had parked there hours before. Opening the boot and placing the human without any care for his well being, Destroyer reached for a set of cable ties and made sure that he was secure before reaching shutting the boot door down. One down, one to go and then he would be able to take his prizes back to the lab. Reaching into his pocket he took out the cell phone – one of the rare times he was allowed a communication device and dialed the single pre-programmed number into the phone and waited until the phone connected. “I’ll be back tomorrow morning.” He hung up the phone and stuffed it back into his pocket, moving around to the driver’s side door. It was only a short while before the keys were in the ignition and he was pulling away, to find his next target for the night. |
