Date: 11/26/14 Time: 3:30pm Winter had finally come and it came in a big way a day before Thanksgiving when 8 inches of snow or more fell around the Xavier Mansion some of the younger students immediately bundled up and hit the back yard to build snow men and snow forts and engage in the traditional snow ball fights that seemed to happen every year. The sounds of their laughing and carrying on as well as them trampling snow into the mansion dragging their feet and sloshing snow into the rugs and carpets brought Kitty back to a different time. It reminded Kitty of when she was one of those younger students heading out into the snow with Doug and Bobby running a muck all over the mansion grounds in the name of good fun. Kitty always wanted to be on Bobby's team when it came to snow ball fighting he always seemed to have the advantage. But this year was different no longer was she the little kid who ran out in the snow with her buddies. She was the team Leader of the X-Men's Legacy Squad with Rachel Summers extended time away and no longer was Bobby Drake her beloved Iceman at the Mansion. Bobby Drake had hung up his X for well another X with Alex Summer's team X-Factor. It made Kitty sad to watch the kids playing outside knowing Bobby was no longer around to share in the festivities never the less while Kitty got herself a mug of ice cold Pepsi. What? She doesn't like hot liquids they burn her mouth but she didn't want to look like a total heathen and drink out of a can besides the mug she felt gave her an air of sophistication she was supposed to be an adult or something now. |

He pulled his knit cap down a little further n his head pushing the slightly too long blond locks back up in it. It figured not even a month fully into the winter season and they were already knee deep in snow and while that should have made the kid in anyone heart happy it just served to remind Doug how many more months of bitter cold they had in front of him till his beloved spring and summer returned. Until then he would muster through it like the Stark of Winterfell he truly believed himself in his heart to be and he took some comfort in the fact that at least this snow was nature brought on and not courtesy of one certain Iceman who had packed it up and out thus freeing himself from Kitty's presence and Doug's envy. With Bobby out of the mansion Doug had found a relative ease that he almost hated himself for, but it made thing simpler. Without Bobby around there was one less person for Kitty to divide her time with, one less person to compete with (and lose) her affection over. With Bobby gone Doug was Kitty's main man on campus and the translator liked that title a lot. Why else would eh be mushing through wet seeping snow to stand around in the unpleasant cold when there was perfect good Battlestar Gallactica marathon on just calling his name in the warm inside. Because, he knew, it was always warmer better beside Kitty, central heating be damned. "You know a frosted mug of Pepsi on a day like this doesn't make you look anymore mature then a cup of hot cider that you won't drink because it supposedly burns your too sensitive mouth would." he remarked knowing exactly what she would be drinking and why she would be drinking it and why she's have it in a mug and not just in a can like regular person. "Besides Coke is better anyway. the Cola wars are over Pryde and Coke one. except it. Admit defeat. This is one war done decreed and no last surgence from you is gonna bring it back. Besides Coke has those cute cuddly Polar bears what does Pepsi have? And don't say Beyonce okay cause she does not count. You can't always use Beyonce as your trump card it's not fair." |

Daniel had a severe advantage. His mutant detection ability allowed him to pinpoint any of the mutants around him and track their movements instantly. He could feel their mutant auras moving and planned his attack accordingly. He didn't mind having the advantage. They were playing to their strengths after all. It was a mutant snowball fight and the rules were clear; Take No Prisoners. The Texas native hunkered down behind the snowy barricade and pushed the floppy hat back from his eyes. “Okay you guys, they are trying to surround us,” he explained looking to each of the members of his team. “What do you think we should do?” Seeing this as a teaching moment, Daniel offered up the floor to suggestions. He wanted the students to learn to think and develop strategies and also to adapt to the situations around them. “Their force will be split on two fronts,” Padma said. “If we direct our attacks at their divided forces we have a chance to drive them back.” “Okay you heard the lady, get ready to mount the attack,” Shepherd said. “Padma, on your signal.” Daniel scooped up some white powder and packed it into a snowball. He hurriedly assembled three more and lined them up beside him. The mutant tracker tensed up in preparation. “Now!” the student shouted and Daniel and his team sprang up and began to launch their projectiles amid the rise of shouts and laughter. The team was met in kind with an assault of snowballs. Daniel ran out of ammunition and ducked behind the barrier. He made three more snowballs and popped back up just in time to see Lily, the aerokinetic move into position. In a sudden wintry blast, a salvo of snowballs raced toward the team. “Look out!” someone called and Daniel’s team took cover to only which a few members of his team were spared a shocking smack of packed snow. Dan took cover behind the barrier but saw the snowballs race toward the edge of the yard where Kitty and Doug were watching the battle unfold. “Doug! Kitty! Incomingggggg!” Daniel called out to the possible collateral damage. Shepherd rose again and braced for the scene to unfold at the edge of the yard. Distracted, he got thumped between the shoulders with a snowball. “You got me!” he cried and fell to his knees dramatically in an iconic pose. “Go one without me. Just make sure Charlie Sheen gets out alive!” |

Doug soon showed up teasing Kitty about attempting to look like an adult by drinking cold Pepsi from a mug and her sensitive mouth that disliked hot beverages. To which Kitty only glared back at him with her best attempt at an evil eye. Doug quickly continued speaking on the Cola wars being done and over with Coke emerging as the clear victor. “Pepsi is the voice of the Me Generation or something at least they were in the 2000s when they had wait for it... Britney Spears! That's right its Britney Bitch.” Kitty added with a cocky head taunt rocking her head back and fourth like uppity white girls do. “Besides in the Pop wars, I've always been a fan of the underdog. And you of all people I thought could appreciate the plight of the underdog in beverage related battles. And I mean if Coke didn't get all of these restaurants to go along and promote their product for them I think the tide of war would be very different but every restaurant you go to and ask for Pepsi they say is Coke okay? Except of course that one time when you order a coke and their like... We only have Pepsi! But Pepsi is the drink of the people not the corporate machine that Coke is just a spoke on the wheel of! Pepsi has won the taste test challenges from here to tim buck two! Besides when those restaurants water down their coke... It tastes just like Pepsi so who's the real winner here?” As Kitty's Pop related rantings and ramblings went on she became more oblivious to what was going on in the legendary snow ball fight unfolding before her while she was focused on lawyering Doug with her defense of Pepsi. However her attention was suddenly diverted back to the Snow ball fight when a voice called out from the battlefield telling Doug and Kitty to watch out for the incoming barrage of Snow balls. Kitty instinctively phased allowing the Snow balls to pass right through her and onto the ground she could have reached out to Doug and granted him sanctuary with her phasing abilities but instead she left him on his own. As she looked to the battlefield to see what brave soul had saved her from suffering collateral damage she saw one of the faculty Daniel Shepard just in time for him to be shot down by a snow ball to the shoulder. “NO!” Kitty shouted as the brave solider fell to his knees “Oh the humanity!” She continued as Shepard gave his final words before surrendering to the sweet icy relief of snow ball death. Taking the wool hat off her own head and holding it over her heart she said. “That was the bravest man I have ever known.” |

Battle, it had many rules, and even more rules when you knew what your opponents were capable of. Battle simulations were just the same despite being simulations. Pearce had knew from the start that Daniel was an enemy, and he was clearly aware of his powers. He'd known since he came here. All battles needed plans, and Pearce had one, but Daniels powers could easily thwart it. He'd notice him and react too quickly with his powers. He did get the idea from a YouTube video though. It was a bit ridiculous, but could work. So it was to no surprise that joy flowed right through Pearce when he heard the groans of agony that signaled Daniels demise. This plan wasn't just Pearce's though, and almost his entire team had been let in on it. "Pearce, Sheps down, operation Team Snow Fortress is a go!" A teammate yelled from a piece of cover that was represented as a mound of snow. The energy being nodded, acknowledging the fact, before leaping into action. The humanoid shape he was quickly became replaced by a smooth stream of energy that flew through the air towards the enemy team. It quickly flew behind an very large mound of snow. Reforming his humanoid shape, Pearce knelt down next to a student laying behind the mound as well. "You were a brave soldier, volunteering to be the one to form this cover. Your sacrifice will not be in vain!" Pearce told the fake corpse, hearing a bit of a snicker from it. Well this definitely wasn't the most serious fight. He then bent down and dug into the mound, pulling out an object with a shape similar to that of a gun. For it was a gun. A water gun. But this was no ordinary water gun, it was filled with warm water, and would prove to be devastating. The brave fallen soldier next to Pearce had fought hard to secure this weapon, and Pearce would make sure to make good use of it. "NO MERCY!!!!!" Pearce yelled as he burst from the mound, finger squeezed on the water gun trigger. As soon as the warm water made contact with the cold air, it evaporated into a white mist, which Pearce quickly spread over the opposing team. Soon Pearce and Daniels team disappeared in a cloud of steam, at which Pearce's team quickly began throwing snowballs at. Pearce began to walk forward, an aura of confidence and some cockiness surrounding him. He walked forward, careful to avoid friendly fire until he made it to Shepard's position. "We meet again, and hopefully for the last. Step aside girl!" Pearce said to Kitty as he pointed the barrel of his water gun at the dying Daniel to finish what he had technically never started. |

Never one to pass up a good banter battle Kitty matched Doug witticism for witticism, yet another example go who we'll over time there personalities had meshed and entwined. Just as he knew what she would be drinking and why Kitty knew how to trade the barbs with Doug better than anyone. Her's was the one mind he could never stump which made bantering with her all the more fun, and while they traded verbal opinions in their own little speech war a war of a different kind erupted around them as Daniel Shepard (no pun intended) shepherded a group of kids in an all out snowball siege. He watched as Kitty dramatically played along with the wet icy 'war' even while leaving saving her own self with he phasing ad leaving Doug wide open to any free flying snowballs. He cocked an eyebrow at the passer as if to say "so this is how it's gonna be huh" Before joining the other and Kitty in her lament for their 'fallen' comrade. "He was one brave little toaster" Doug said dryly dusting off a bit of snowball that had hit him on the arm. Doug supposed the game was over and was about to ask Kitty if she wanted to head back inside with him when Cyberlink showed up to be, Doug supposed, the red coats the Sheppards freedom fighters or some other such antagonists as all sides app read to be on the virus end when you were a part of them. Holding up his water pistol he declared to Kitty to move out of the way as this affair had nothing to do with her or them andDoug found himself smiling as he pushed himself in front of Kitty. "See now I'm gonna have to stop you right there. First, and just so you know, in the interest of doing you a favor because this one is very much a free thinking ferments and calling her 'girl' anything will probably just get you your ass kicked so you can thank me for that one later, and secondly we're all sticky lot you mess with one of us you get us all am I right guys. For Sparta!!" Doug yelled out rallying the so called troops and starting it off with a quick grab for a handful on snow and pelting the small snowball at Pearce himself. |

Pearce took in all this as another came, with some sort of cliché monologue that was basically gotten across to his mind as "This girl will kick your ass if you mention her gender" and "We all stick together." He then looked at the snowball Cypher made, a plan already in mind to avoid it. As expected the ball went his way, but the energy being quickly formed a hole in his figure for the ball to fly right through. But Pearce would soon discover he was way off when the ball hit an entire other section of his body instead. Blue energy quickly reforming back in the hole, Pearce stared for a bit, thinking of what to say. "Uhh, yeah, still working on that. Anyways you seem noble, sticking up for your friends, so lets settle this the hard way!" Pearce said as he tossed the water gun to the side and grabbed some snow from the ground, forming two balls in each of his hands. He then noticed the trios team rally to them. "LILY!" Pearce yelled suddenly as he moved back in retreat, throwing a snowball at Cypher. The Aerokinetic quickly heeded his call, and a salvo of snowballs was sent her foes way to cover Pearce's retreat to a better position. The fight was on once more, and this time, Pearce's team would win! |

Winter in the state of New York was definitely rough, especially for Clarice. Coming from a tropical home where winter was merely just a time of the year, snow and the colder temperature had been very uncommon for her. Her first few winters at the institute were definitely interesting to say the least. As the years went by, she learned to accept the frigid season and even enjoys it now. With winter came the beautiful blankets of snow that painted the area white. Warm beverages and lit fireplaces were of the nicer amenities. Days devoted to cuddling under a blanket and watching movies were one of the girl’s favorite parts. However, recently, she hadn’t had much time to enjoy it. Between Legacy Squad activities, training, and taking care of everyday business, her days had been filled. Today was planned to be much different though. This particular Wednesday didn’t consist of nearly as many tasks to complete. Therefore, the teleporter had decided to finish what she did have as early as possible. All that she had planned was done before lunch. After making a trip to the Cafetorium to replenish herself, she visited the entertainment room to watch a new release, a blanket over her lap and a cup of hot cocoa in hand. What more could one want? Once the movie ended, the pink-skinned girl reported to her room where she changed into weather-permitting clothes, consisting of hunter green leather pans, brown leather boots, a crème sweater, a light brown pea-coat, and earmuffs. Considering she hadn’t had the chance to venture outside and see all the snow since it had fallen, she decided that was next on her to do list, hence her outfit. As the girl walked through one of the many grand hallways connecting the female dormitory wing to the rest of the building, a shout caught her attention. It was very faint, but she still picked up on it. Her eyes flickered over to the glass paneling, noticing the many figures roaming about outside; they were having a snowball fight! Playing in the snow was another plus to the winter season. This year would be much different though, considering the institute’s own Iceman wasn’t around to add on to the wintery fun. Snow was still snow though and it would always bring fun. As she stepped closer towards the paneling, she began to make out the people outside: the Legacy Squad’s own Kitty Pryde, accompanied by Shepherd, Cypher, and several of the other students. A smile spread across her face upon seeing the two teams; she wanted in on the action. Movement in the air outside caught her attention. One of the students seemed to be lifting a mass of snowballs into the air, preparing to send them towards her friends. It was officially Clarice’s time to join in this war. Two pink javelins instantly appeared in Blink’s hand. After looking both behind her and ahead of her to ensure nobody was around to catch her, she began to run down the hall. Halfway down the hall, she threw the javelin in her left hand forward, then proceeding to leap into the air. The javelin burst into a portal, her body gliding through it. Another opened twelve feet into the air near Kitty and her team, the common ‘blink’ sound of her teleportation echoing around the immediate area, the pink elf sailing out of it. While gravity was doing its thing, Clarice tossed her other javelin in front of the three people below. It opened in just enough time to swallow up the snowballs flying towards them. The second portal opened behind the opposing team, the snow spheres they threw now being fired at themselves. Blink landed in the snow in a kneeling position, a crunching sound eminent as the white powder compacted. |

Daniel fell to the snow covered ground in a blaze of dramatic glory. He leaned up slightly to brush the snow from his beard and raise his cap up out of his eyes to see Kitty give him a proper salute. She had allowed the snowballs to phase through her (naturally, she was quite good after all) and let the linguist fend for himself. The mutant tracker grinned at her display. He had fought an honorable battle. Daniel registered both Kitty and Doug with his mutant extra sense. Kitty appeared in Shepherd’s mind as a kite rising higher and higher into the sky whereas Doug registered as a chorus of unintelligible murmurs. Suddenly, Daniel detected an aura like the sound of boiling water and Pearce appeared between him and the two X-Men. Cyberlink had a watergun and had it leveled at Kitty. Doug quickly stepped in to defend the honor of his phasing friend. Doug gave a defiant warcry and launched into his own snowball assault. Pearce threw his squirt gun to the side and then called for Lily, the aerokinetic, to begin the continued assault of the airlifted snowballs. Out of nowhere, another mutant aura appeared, one that hadn’t been there a few moments before. He perceived the mutant’s aura as the smell of hibiscus flowers. Just as Lily had raised a barrage of snowballs to pummel her arctic foes a glowing pink portal appeared. The snowballs entered the portal and then reappeared behind Lily's teammates and smacked them with the barrage intended for their enemies. It was Blink! She had arrived and helped Shepherd's team. The history teacher climbed to his knees and then back to his feet slightly encumbered by the warm layers he was wearing. "HaHA!" Daniel called out, cupping his gloved hands around his mouth. "So we've had collateral damage and now a third party enters the arena! Thanks for the assist Clarice!" Daniel turned back to Pearce, Doug, and Kitty. "Pretty crafty Pearce! Nice use of cover. Sorry to drag you two into this," he then said to the linguist and the phaser. "Well, maybe not too sorry. I'll owe you a drink Kitty." Daniel casually leaned down and scooped up some snow and packed it lightly. "Well, I guess the Blink shot the Rules of Engagement all to Hell so that means anything goes. Once more unto the breach!" Daniel said and threw the snowball into the crowd of students and tromped back in for more battle. |

Pearce watched as he ran from the trio, noticing Daniel throw a snowball. However his attention was quickly diverted as he heard a loud blinking sound. A portal quickly opened up in front of his enemies, and another opened up behind his team, sending a salvo of balls right at them. It was awfully similar to Lilly's snowball salvos, and Pearce soon realized that it was Lilly's when he looked back at Daniel and his allies and noticed not one of them had been hit. Crap, well this was bad. What could he possibly do? He'd been caught off guard by a surprise entrance, and an attack he himself had commanded to be used had been sent right back at him. And then the ground dropped. What Pearce and most of his team who have been caught in Blinks trap were standing on gave way, turning into a nicely rectangular trench. How was this possi-OH WAIT. Pearce's mind quickly snapped out of his thoughts upon realizing that there was a Geokinetic on the team. "Nice job Trevor, you saved us there." Pearce said upon looking around and finding his fellow teammate as the confusion caused by the sudden event resolved itself. "Maybe we should just surrender, they've got one of the Teachers, two Legacy squad members, and an X-Men out there! How are we supposed to beat that when there's also a bunch of enemy students to worry about too?" A boy said. "No way! We can't give up! Trevor, pull up some rock to buy us some time." Pearce ordered and watched as those commands were fulfilled, a ceiling of rock going over the trench, pillars coming out of the ground to support it. The ceiling wasn't perfect, and a few cracks let some light in. The energy being then began to speak to his team, thinking up words as he went. "Look, when the odds were against the X-Men, did they give up? NO! They fought! They worked together to bring the odds back in their favor, and that's exactly what we're going to do!" Pearce shouted in an inspiring pep talk. "Plus if we lose I owe Padma my lunch." Pearce said. "Anyways here's the new plan, Trevor, you're going to open this ceiling, and when you do, we go out strong! Lilly and Logan, you two are going to be suppressing Doug, Keep that Phaser bus-" "Kitty was the phaser." The boy who had suggested surrender corrected. Pearce, with an unamused face, went on. "Keep the pressure on that Phaser. Trevor, you're going to go after Padma, take out the leader. The rest of you will suppress the student enemies, Cypher and Blink. Top priority is the Teacher, can't be having him giving wise advice to our enemies, now can we?" Cyberlink continued and finished. "Trevor, on my mark, take out the ceiling." A few suspenseful moments passed and then... "NOW!" The rocky ceiling retracted back into the sides of the trench, and the entire team came out yelling with furious battle cries. This wasn't just a game anymore. It was an opportunity for Pearce to make himself known as the one who managed to beat the more experienced people of the school. Including an X-Men! Oh boy would it be glorious! |

While Kitty and Doug grieved over the devastating loss of Daniel Shepard they were suddenly held at gun point by the Villainous CyberLink a dastardly villain with a name from something straight out of the Terminator. He demanded Kitty step aside as he was about to finish off Shepard once and for all. Kitty couldn't help but think if Bobby were here he could freeze the water instantly rendering the villain powerless. However it was Doug who roe to her defense standing in front of her to spare her from an assault. Despite the fact she left him out to dry just mere moments earlier. “You tell'em Doug!” Kitty shouted from behind rallying Doug along as he began his own assault on CyberLink with his own barrage of Snowballs. CyberLink called in for air support however as an Areokinetic quickly entered the fray darkening the sky beneath a shadow of Snow balled fury. Kitty quickly took her nearly empty cup of ice cold Pepsi and head for safety behind a pillar. “Cant we be the Trojans? You can be Paris and I'll be Helen. Shep is clearly Hector.” However while Kitty was assigning roles from the Trojan war Blink, Blinkerized into the bedlam blinking away a bevy of Snowballs in the process. With the momentum temporary on the side of good Shepard returned from the dead and rallied with his newest recruits apologizing for making Kitty and Doug collateral damage. “Make it two drinks... and some cheese fries... and Pizza... and... some tator tots and.... well that should be good I suppose.” Kitty teased back. However with the arrival of Blink who Kitty had yet to cast a role in the Trojan war for the invading Spartans were considering making an offering to Poseidon and returning to Greece. But the stubborn Agamemnon also known as Trevor refused to concede victory and demanded Achilles CyberLink press on. Kitty could here them plotting from across the lawn. They were being told to suppress the Phaser. Kitty then looked around nervously. “Is Rho here? I hope Rho's here. I really hope Rho is here. Where's Rho!” Kitty said loudly as the Trojan Horse or ceiling broke open and out poured a hoard of the invaders. “I am not fixing that.” Kitty said as she watched the screaming horde advance. “I am not martyr! I am getting out of here come with me if you want to live.” Ah flashback humor the previous terminator joke. Kitty reached out her hands offering sanctuary to anyone who would take it before she disappeared into the ground. This would take Kitty and whomever joined her out of the front lines as she moved beneath the frozen ground of the mansion and doubled back to where the Villains broke from from their Trojan Ceiling positioning them behind the horde in an attempt to flank them before they knew where our heroes went. Reappearing on the opposite side of the lawn where the Invaders had planned their own last offensive. |

Her plan had worked just as well as she had hoped it would. The snowballs all sailed through the portal, not a single one making it towards her newly-joined team.Assuming the chances of the counter attack failing were very slim, a proud smirk spread across the girl's face.Shepherd stood from his fallen position, applauding the teleporter for her show, leading her to curtsy. The sound of the ground rumbling caused her to rise from her lowered position, she instantly gritting her teeth. She didn't have to even turn around to know what had happened; that geokinetic Trevor had likely given them some sort of cover. Having seen his power in use before, she knew he was talented. She also knew he was the culprate in this situation! Turning around, Clarice found that her assumption was true. The ground around the opposing team had sunken down. "Ground maintenance is not going to be happy about that..." she remarked. Pearce could be heard as he debriefed his team on their plan of action. Upon hearing their names mentioned, Blink looked over to Doug, wondering what he thought of the situation. Not long after, their plan was clear. The earthen roof above them peeled back, all of the Spartans charging towards Clarice and her teammates. This was officially war. The teleporter had already bent down to grab a ball of snow, but the opposing team was approaching quickly; she was out of time. “I am not martyr! I am getting out of here come with me if you want to live.” cried the team leader. Clarice took Kitty's hand, then holding her own out for the next teammate to grab. In just a matter of seconds, they sunk beneath the ground. It were times like these that Clarice enjoyed most. How many people get to say they walked beneath the Earth's surface? Shadowcat's power was absolutely incredible. The Trojan mutants resurfaced in the pit created by Trevor. Once everyone had gathered themselves, the pink-hued girl spoke up. "Does anyone have a plan in mind?" While others began to speak, a small portal opened in front of Blink, only one foot in diameter. Another opened higher up in the air, allowing the group to spy on the enemy from above. |

Pearce got out, and stopped for a second to take in his surroundings. He began to walk forward, a snowball in hand, which he proceeded to throw in the enemies general direction. He continued to move forward, and then noticed many of his more experienced foes abandon their posts. Shadow cat, Blink, those cowards! This however was good, Pearce was expecting his team to get casualties from them, but they have straight up ran. What this meant was that it was a clean sweep for Pearce's team. Padma's team may have had experienced X-men, Legacy squad members, and Teachers on it, but Pearce's team had far more regular students to fight for them. It was the agreement, and also one made to force both team leaders to think up strategies and utilize what they had that the other did not. It was a massacre, Padma's team was slaughtered by the frigid projectiles of snow, overpowered by Pearce's superior numbers of students fighting for him. Pearce began to notice casualties being endured by his team, but no matter, their sacrifices were worth it. Although the real prizes were the heads of his more experienced foes. Pearce began to grin, watching what was left of Padma's team flee to their backlines and the cover there, although there was one who had failed to be one of those lucky ones. It was Padma, who was dragged across the snow by Trevor and Lilly, both at her sides, with her arms secured. "Padma, the youngest commander, of one of my most formidable foes. The Trojan Mutants. For crimes against my army such as even attempting to challenge us, I hereby sentence you to death by execution personally from it's leader!" Pearce said in an antagonistic tone as he held up a snowball and prepared to throw it at Padma. What he failed to notice was the portal above him, his teammates, and Padma, that gave those who had retreated a perfect view of Padma's upcoming demise by snowball. |

Doug's head spun in a mixture of adrenaline, excitement, confusion, fun, fear, a lot really' almost too much to decipher which he probably could if he wanted to but then that would take from the irony of the situation and who wanted that. Doug settled for the fact that it was more fun to play at war then be at war and as Blink joined in and Kitty didn't exactly opt out the entertainment commenced. Between Blink's portals of teleportation and Kitty's passing he felt the most vulnerable and still somehow that made him feel the most alive. there would be no easy escape for him unless he clung to the skirts of others (which still wasn't totally improbable) He started to chuckle at it's terminator reference. God he loved how similar they were when it came to drop pop cultures bombs into any situation. "Hey you dragged me into this!" he decreed to Kitty after he lament about not being a martyr. Still he held on as she phased them out of the front line of assault. It wasn't the first time he had held on as a co-conspirator of her powers but it still remained impressive all the sane, but he felt like that about everything Kitty did. She was always remarkable to him even when leaving him to take the brunt of a snowball war. When Blink asked the reasonable question if anyone had a plan Doug grinned. This was probably the first time he hadn't had a plan for something in awhile this was chaos and chaos the translator thought was kinda fun. "What say you Sarah Conner?" he said turning to Kitty keeping up with the Terminator schtick. "You got any bright ideas how to keep us out of Snoop's snow-cone maker over there. By the way I actually got you one of those for Christmas, total nostalgia trip you're gonna love it." He took in another breath of chilled air and exhaled. "Do we try and divide and conquer or pull all out and make a last stand like the battle of the Blackwater except you know we're swapping wildfire for snow?" |
