Morning

The training session was simple dodge and evade; use the props set up in the scenario to delay contact and onslaught. Simple, right? well in theory it would have been if not for the massive steel covered Russian barreling towards him with the force of a freight train. Kyle didn't remember much from physics but he knew that speed but plus weight equal splat. Hell, maybe that wasn't from physics at all but those old Looney Toon cartoons. Thing was he wasn't an animated character who would bounce back up if tackled down by the mighty Colossus most likely he would end up in the infirmary with more things broken then not. Suddenly he was kicking himself mightily for not taking the Russian up on his suggestion to go gentle. Stupid fucking pride. He was out of practice and he knew it and still he had insisted that Colossus give him everything he had.

It was that damn ego that always got him in trouble the inability to admit when he wasn't ready for something. Being an X-man meant you had to be ready for anything at anytime, and Kyle hadn't wanted the others to see how much his training had been lacking during his time away. What was that old adage if you didn't use it you lost it?

He thrusted his right arm out sending a wave of concussive force at a very real looking but Danger room created small sedan and he watched as the vehicle somersaulted back heading towards the charging Russian.

"Come on Piotr?" he yelled "Is that the best you got?"

Famous last words he wondered as he tried to recall what the safe word they agreed upon was and just how did one cry out "Uncle" in Russian.
