Momentary freak out due to Chris’s entrance aside, Sarah felt she was handling this unusual occurrence rather well. Although she had to admit, her fingers were slow clenching and stretching, and there was a hidden panic in the back of her eyes, easily missed if you didn’t know her well. The last time she hadn’t had those friendly technological voices in her head had been when Prodigy had poisoned her – she’d ended up in a coma, and nearly died. The sudden loss of her powers, regardless of having gained different ones, was semi-panic inducing. Not that she’d ever shared that particular feeling with anyone. Certain things were simply private; Sarah didn’t feel the need to share the fact that she had nightmares about being comatose and powerless, while her friends were murdered around her. It had no bearing, and she didn’t let it affect her functioning.

But the unexpected loss of those voices she was so used to, the comforting hum of technology in the back of her mind, just waiting to be tapped…The brunette grit her teeth against a surge of memory, recognizing that Pearce and Chris were both looking at her. She was an adult, a member of the Legacy Squad, handling stressful situations was pretty much the job description. Not that knowing that helped her to relax. Forcibly taking a long breath, she had to fight the urge to scowl at Pearce, before shaking her head at Chris.

“This isn’t an attack. Mr. Summers sounded plenty calm, I’d bet this was a power malfunction. I passed plenty of confused people on the way here, but it didn’t seem like everyone had switched. Just some of us. I’m gonna guess that Mr. Summers is going to brief us in the cafetorium – which would explain why he announced for everyone who switched to go there.” At the last comment, Sarah glanced pointedly at Pearce, before hooking a thumb in her jeans loop, very carefully. When Pearce re-entered, the brunette blinked with a frown, letting Chris take care of that particular problem. After a moment, she looked at Jimmy, before shrugging.

“You guys can head to the cafetorium. Jimmy and I’ll be there in a few minutes. Mr. Summers is probably already there – Pearce, I’m sure he’ll have a better idea about who you can borrow some clothes with. Someone in the dorms has to be your size.” After all, the kids did live there, there were plenty of clothes to be found. Hell, there were even spare scrubs in the medical wing, and sweat pants and sweatshirts, Sarah knew from experience. It wouldn’t be that hard to find someone decent for the kid to wear.

She waited until the two of them left to drop into a chair, gripping her knees tightly with hands that shook just a little bit. It was silent in her head, but loud in her ears, and she jumped at little noises, leaning forward to let her hair curtain her face, rubbing her temple.

The cafetoreum was a place of great comfort to Damien, one place where he always felt secure and cozy. Usually when he wanted to escape from things for a little bit he'd grab a pair of headphones and boot up his cherished copy of Earthworm Jim. To make the picture a complete paradise Damien needed only to have a sheet pulled over his head to act as a pair of blinders, locking him in to the world of insanity that came with catapulting a cow. It was a world where he did not need to observe anything and could have total privacy, a precious commodity with so many sisters and an older brother. Kitchens, or serving as a suitable substitute here, the cafetoreum, was a different kettle of fish though. Having his stomach filled with tasty food was just as therapeutic to him as a good button mashing game, or trying to go so fast on his skateboard that his calves burned afterwords. The line between his mutation's demands upon his body and his own love of food was a thin one and often hazy. Going to the cafetoreum was for several reasons the best battle plan that Damien had, but it presented complications.

First of all nobody in his class had gotten his powers. Nobody within Damien's range was telling him anything about having an itching underneath the skin, or a need to chase something down. Instead he was getting useless chatter, a million different variations of "What happened to me?", and it was wearing his nerves past their breaking point. For years Damien had been given the impression that he wasn't smart, not in comparison to his older siblings. He didn't think the same sort of deep thoughts that Suzanne and Lance did, and his vocabulary was smaller than even his younger sister Isa's, bookworm that she was. Nobody outright called him stupid in his family, not in a way that was serious, but Damien had seen the comparisons between his brother and himself that teachers did and had gotten the message that he was an idiot. Imagine his shock to go from not knowing what he was suppose to be solving to getting classrooms full of information pouring into his skull. No wonder his own thoughts were spilling out of his mind and into others. To get to the cafetoreum he had to expose himself to even more people who were filling up his mind.

Secondly outside of the safety of the classroom were other students who had had their powers switched. Some had gotten quite use to their own powers, but there others who, like Damien, were still trying to figure it out. Trying to grasp onto something that you had no clue about when something that should be familiar to you was still difficult was like trying to swim in pudding with no arms or legs. Getting through the halls without some sort of incident, be it slipping on a puddle that someone made or getting flashed by someone who had lost clothing in the power swap was impossible. Damien was adding to the madness with every student he saw who had wardrobe malfunctions. To them he was sending out a mental image of what he turned into, the way that he had seen his reflection. Golden eyes wild and hungry, a long snout filled with sharp teeth, viscous, frothy drool oozing between the small spaces of his fangs. It was a startling image to say the least, but his best representation of what he was. Or what he had been. One girl near him, someone who he hadn't meant to get the picture let out a gasp, her fear about what she had seen now the loudest voice in his head. She was panicked at what she saw, and her choice of words about it was less friendly than you would expect from someone who was surrounded by mutants on a daily basis. Like Damien she had had less than friendly encounters with dogs, which was at least part of the reason why she had such a violent reaction.

“Shuddit,” Damien slurred at her, his eyes narrow slits. To his surprise her hands flew up to cover her mouth, the movement just jerky enough to suggest what had just happened. The two stared at each other in shock of it, before Damien barreled his way down the halls, a charging shrimp on a mission. Find an empty place and get the voices to calm down, then head to the cafetoreum. Whomever had received his powers was going to be hungry, and given how he didn't stray far from his normal diet, he would assume that who turned into that beastie now would head there as well. If his powers weren't in there he'd have to hunt down Rahne. A little detour was taken, with Damien going in whatever direction lessened the mental static. It brought him to a mostly empty room, with a hole in the ceiling and a lady sitting in a chair There had been a brief moment when he wondered if she was the one he had been swapped with, just because she was holding onto her head as tightly as he was his.

“It's not you either,” Damien said, his body deflating as he realized that his search was going to have to continue. He had just gotten to a location where his mind could get a little bit of relief, and now he was going to have to go where there was a large collection of students and even some adults. The lady in the chair might not be the one who had his power, but that didn't mean she had not encountered the one who did get it. Trying to keep his own thoughts seperated from the thoughts of others was a trying experience and he felt just as worn out as the lady looked by the effort. Tears were welling up in his eyes. “You haven't seen a thing have you? Um, it's a, um.”

"Thanks." Pearce said as he quickly did what Chris had directed to him, using the laces to keep the pants up. He began to listen to Sarah, and took in her advice. He may have been at this school for some time, but she has been to it far longer. The boy then pondered on what to do for a second, before deciding to indeed go and get something his size. He did look pretty ridiculous in an oversized shirt and pants, with the pants held up by shoe laces. Moving to the doorway, he began to make his way to the cafetorium.

Only for some scrawny kid to barrel past him, not even noticing him. Although he definitely ran past fast enough for Pearce to take a small step of surprise and caution to the side, keeping in a small "Woah." Where was he off too? No forget it, he had to go get in something that didn't look so ridiculous.

So off the teen went, on his quest to find a more suitable attire. That is until he soon caught sight of a trio of students. Two of them apparently helping the other to the medical wing one could assume, seeing as she seemed to not be in the best of conditions, with a noticeable limb that one of her escorts was trying to help her out with, her arm over his shoulder. But what truly caught Pearce's attention was that one of those three people was more familiar to Pearce then the other two.

"Trevor!" Pearce exclaimed in relief upon recognizing the Geokinetic, running up to him. Trevor tried to reply, although he seemed confused, and was trying to think up of something to say, this apparently being awkward to him. Oh wait... Seriously? Pearce's expression quickly changed as he realized that his friend didn't recognize him.

"It's me, Pearce."

"WO-woah, what the heck happened? Someone slapped the mutant right out of you?" Trevor said as he calmed down and then dwelled a bit into the art of teasing.

"I think we both know that what happened to me was the same as what happened to her." Pearce said as he pointed to the injured girl.

"Oh Maria here? She didn't get affected, but someone else did. Apparently we can add concussion blasts to the list of things that can break her leg now." Trevor replied. "Why are you in those clothes anyways?"

After an awkward silence, Pearce replied. "Well, long story, what I need is to get out of these clothes before going to the cafetorium."

Taking this in, Trevor got an idea, figuring he was indeed about this human Pearce's size. "Abe, can you take Maria to the medical wing yourself?"

The boy did so, not seeming to protest much, apparently recognizing this to be a friend of a friend who Trevor obviously felt obliged to help out.

"Thanks for taking the time to see if I would be okay with you putting on my clothes. Which I am, follow me." Trevor said, heading toward the dorm he and Pearce shared.

The pair eventually arrived at the dorm, and Trevor pulled out a draw.

"Take what you need from here, and only here please." Trevor directed,

"Jeez, did you have to follow me here? Why all secure?" Pearce asked, apparently oblivious to the obvious reason.

"Look at your side of the room." Trevor said as he pointed out said obvious reason.

"Uhh...Robi does that." Pearce replied.

"The robo-worm? Hah, maybe if it had arms."

"He can wiggle around."

"Alllright then." Trevor said in a tone that showed his obvious disbelief for Pearce's excuse.

Pearce soon changed in to a blue hooded sweater and jeans, with some shoes to match.

"Now this is nice." Pearce said as he looked around the room, soon locating his pet robot, slipping the small robotic creature inside his sleeve, proceeding to follow Trevor out of the dorm.

"Still can't believe you made that." Trevor said as he decided to make his thoughts about Robi known to Pearce.

"I did it while in the whole Skrull trance thingy. I don't know how I did it, though I have to admit he is impressive. For a second I thought Tony Stark snuck in and left him in there." Pearce replied. "You better get back to Abe and Maria, I'm going to the cafetorium." Pearce said, the pair soon parting ways shortly after.

Time to go and make some sense of this situation. Hopefully he could find whoever swapped with him in the cafetorium. Or maybe what powers he got from the swap. If he did have any at all, he couldn't feel it.

Hopefully he would. Though one could only hope.

When Sarah said that it wasn't an attack, Chris let out a breath of relief as that meant that someone hadn't intentionally done this thing to hurt them, but it did make him wonder who could do it accidentally. Well, he quickly pushed his curiosity aside as it sounded like Mr. Summers had everything under control, which was usually how it went. Of course, knowing what had happened meant that there had to be a way of reversing it so that he didn't break anyone or anything that he came into contact with, which made him think that going to the bathroom or taking a shower would become an Olympic sport for him.

"Right. The cafertorium," he muttered at the thought of being in a room with so many people with his new found gift. Pearce left the room before him, but after taking a deep breath Chris exited the room and entered the chaotic hallway. Then it turned into one of those surreal moments when one's mind goes through a phase that causes everything to slow down, and Chris began to carefully walk down the hallway and tried to avoid knocking anyone over. Given the power swaps between students, it was like playing the worse game of dodge-ball in the history of the world, which was saying something since he watched one where it was played by little kids and half of the balls just went toward the ceiling.

When a kid got shoved into the wall right in front of him, his body froze up as his mind tried to figure out a way how he was going to do this for more than a few hours. Walking down the hallway seemed like an impossible task for him, and Chris was debating just slumping to the floor and sitting in the fetal position until it was all over. That seemed like the only way he could get by with not hurting anyone, which was something that he had never been able to do before. His power had always been to heal others, and now his fingers could destroy anything just by touching them. For a second, he contemplated doing the simple thing, and then he saw a boy with green scales freaking out because of her newly acquired mutation.

In that moment, he realized that people were still going to need a strong shoulder to lean on, and his were definitely a lot stronger than they had been. Walking over to him, he somehow managed not to bump into anyone, and he knelt down so that they were on the same level. "Here. Let me take you somewhere a little less crowded while the teachers figure this one out," he said as he picked the boy up. Turning toward the cafetorium, he began walking toward his destination calmly, while hoping that he was right about someone figuring this out and that he could remain calm enough to keep from turning his passenger into a broken mess or worse.
