Not Yet Blue and Furry
How might I have become blue? When did I grow fur? How have I turned into… a beast? How is any of this possible? These questions had raced through the mind of Henry McCoy all day, and continued to push at his brain even now. The universe was fascinating; anyone with eyes could see that. Just how, though, any of this was possible blew the mind of the young man. Sure, it was possible, it was just… shocking. The small school he’d move to that was recognized by none had become something so large. It had changed so much. Its numbers had grown. Mutant recognition as a whole had grown. Twenty years was a long time. To see that this much would be changing in that sliver of time was just stunning.

Jean, Scott, and Henry had only been in this time for less than twenty-four hours, yet much had happened. The very place they thought there friend might be actually led them to meet their older counterparts. Since then, they’d spent a restless night in the institute’s holding cells, a feature of the school that hadn’t even come into existence in his time. Tours and introductions had been given to the three time-displaced students, leading up to a meeting in the “War Room”. Henry sat alongside his Jean and Scott, elbows on the table, his chen rest on top of his folded hands. His eyes focused on the table, refusing to look up. Just across from him, standing near a panel of computers, was his older, bluer, furrier, counterpart. Every time he caught sight of the older man, he felt… confused. The questions that had been running through his head would tug at him even harder. Don’t think about it. Focus on finding Warren, Henry. The quicker you find Warren, the quicker you can get back to Professor and tell him about this. He’ll be able to help. He refused to believe this was an advancement in his mutation, regardless of how possible it was.

One by one people began to file into the room. Henry listened to the conversations held, intrigued. These people acted as if they were one colossal family, similar to how he felt about Jeanie, Scott, Warren, and the Professor. This is what they would become, something far greater than they already were. Pushing the fact that he was transformed into this creature aside, he found pleasure in this discovery.

Older… Scott called the meeting into order. The room immediately became silent. Everyone listened as the man began to explain the situation. To think that the young, lanky man sitting beside him would become the leader standing at the head of the table was heartwarming. He was capable of so much, he just didn’t realize it. The man began to assign leaders of the mission, the woman who had picked them up and the pink woman who’d taken Jean on her tour. He then mentioned who would take on the task of using Cerebro to search for Warren, assigning Jean and a blonde woman together. What happened next took Henry's breathe away.

"Fascinating." He managed. The older Jean stood across the room from the blonde woman. As soon as the order was given, she erupted. Fire began to surround the redhead's body, her eyes proceeding to glow immensely. Excitement and shock led the young Jean to speak up. He'd never seen her do anything like that before. "It appears as if the universe intends on changing all of us in one way or another."

Older Scott suggested that the time displaced students stay at the school while his own team searched for clues. Young Scott instantly stood up, speaking for the three of them. There was no way they weren't going to be helping. It was their mission to begin with. Henry could see. a parallel between the two Scotts by the way he defended them.

Rahne, er, Older Rayne asked if the Professor had noticed any other cases similar to the one the three were dealing with. Henry finally spoke up.

"As far as we know, Warren is the only one. Keep in consideration, though, that we didn't have as advanced resources as we seem to have now."
