Telekinesis, Telepathy
|
Date: March 18th Time: 11:00am Life back at the school was as chaotic as it had ever been - Rachel had witnessed two sets of parents that were younger than she was used to. The teenage versions of both Scott and Jean were something to see for certain. Young Scott was so completely different to how she imagined him to be, and Young Jean was like looking in a mirror. Well, a mirror that had been untouched by the world. In truth though Rachel wouldn't change this place for any other place on Earth, the amount of chaos and untoward events might be higher here than any other place on the planet, but it was home and Rachel wasn't about to go anywhere anytime soon. She had to admit though that it had been a little weird sitting across from her teenage father in the cafetorium eating lunch and talking about everything that happened with herself, and with him. It was the last thing she had expected would happen in this timeline, but seeing her parents before the world had taken its toll on them was something to be seen for sure. Still it raised more questions than answers, who had gone to their time and kidnapped Warren and brought them to this time - the investigation was under way and surely there would soon be answers, but answers still had yet to be found. Once they were however Rachel was sure to be with those that helped find the missing teenager and help send them back to their natural time. While the search was underway however there was little else that could be done but wait, Rachel had her reunion with Franklin, and now it was time to return to training. Rachel had already run through a Danger Room scenario this morning, but now she was outside working other parts of her skills. There were aspects to her powers that didn't require her to be locked inside running through. There were some aspects that lent themselves to being out and about. Having left the school and headed out into the grounds, Rachel found herself moving away from the school and out towards the forest, putting as much distance between herself and the main building. This was an exercise in her telepathy, rather than her telekinesis and the further she was from the main building the harder the task was for her. Once she was far enough from the school she turned back to look at the and began to stretch her consciousness over the school. Almost instantly Rachel picked up on the signatures of the minds of those whom she knew best, Franklin, her mother and then she began to feel the presence of other students as they went about their daily business. There were more minds here than she could possibly focus on though and instead of delving deeply into each mind she instead skimmed the surface of each the minds. As she did though another mind, this time much closer to where she stood appeared to her. Rachel hadn't been looking for those outside of the school, and it was only when her mind was fully open that she picked up on those outside of her search zone. Drawing her consciousness back, Rachel left the mind of the rest of the school and focused in on the one nearer to her. Moments later her feet had lifted up off the ground and she was flying in the direction of the mind nearest to her. There were few here that Rachel could call true friends - they were all on the same team but relationships like this were hard to make for Rachel and Meggan had been one of the people in this time that the telepath had taken a shine too. "Morning," Rachel spoke as she landed nearby to Meggan. "How're you this morning?" Even with people like Meggan, the normal routines of friendship were a little strange to her. |
