Along with recovering from shock, Ethan decided to be silent while these two super humans had their reunion. Would they even be superhuman? I guess he could just call them mutants, but they seemed pretty super too. And a mutant is a human, just, you know, mutated. In a sense.

I'm overthinking this... He thought for a moment, turning back to them when Colossus addressed him again.

"Well, trust me, you've come across the two guys who know more about this place than almost everyone else." He remarked before explaining the tragic history of that dummy. Poor dummy, never in one piece for a long time.

"Ah, right. Well, it certainly seems like you're not going to do to me what you did to Derek, so I'll take you up on an impromptu look around if you're offering." He said in his positive attitude, feeling he had to look past all the weird stuff at this school before he could enjoy himself. Still, this guy scared the living hell out of him, and that probably showed through just a little bit.

"Any help is welcome, but I'm sure you've had plenty of students say that." He finished, turning to Derek as he explained his uncertainty in his powers.

It was a huge relief to Ethan that even people who were on the staff didn't have a full understanding of what they could do. Maybe the learning curve wouldn't be that steep here after all.

God I hope not...

"They're not really bruises. It's the energy of the impact stored... I'm still working out how to work it."

"Well, I can kind of relate to that." He commented to Derek. "I have no clue how my powers work in terms of limits and expanding what they can do. I have the basic understanding sure, but control and limits and techniques are a mystery to me. All I really know is I can do stuff with energy." Ethan said, trying to relate before snapping back for a moment. "But don't punch me!" He said quickly before putting his hands up in a joking and self-defensive manner. "Not energy like you, not physical energy. Energy like... sunlight or fire and heat or electricity and more. I can absorb the stuff and make it into energy or something." He shrugged. "It's all... really, really confusing to me right now. To be rather frank I'm surprised I didn't flare up when your friend hit you." He laughed, scratching the back of his head before stopping. "I'm... rambling, aren't I? I'll just... yea." He remarked awkwardly before quieting down, allowing the metal man to comment on his friends abilities.

He was able to follow the praise that he and the kid were giving him, but they started to lose him when they started to talk about Savage Lands and Tyrants and Clans and Rifts. He just was not following that. For a moment he blinked and then comically formulated an interjected.

"I have no idea what you're talking about..." He said bluntly, blinking a few times.
