It was certainly good that Julian was confident in his own looks, but Ethan wasn't exactly interested in going after him.

"Well, I'm not sure if I'd call myself a late bloomer." Ethan said, finally calming down from Julian's over-acted stage performance. It was good, but not really believable. Then again, he wasn't trying to act.

I'm getting of base again. Ethan thought to himself.

"Don't get me wrong, I see people that I'm attracted to just like anybody else, but I've just never really focused on dating and relationships much. I've had other priorities in recent years, you know? Sure, I'm not against relationships, it's just something that hasn't happened for me yet." Ethan shrugged at Julian's comment. "And you're not really my type anyway." Ethan laughed. "I do indeed prefer girls."

"Wait. No TVs in the rooms? What kind of third world country have I come to? Guess that settles the Xbox vs. PS4 debate."

"Actually, don't you have a computer?" Ethan tilted his head. "I thought you could hook up consoles to a monitor and just use that instead. And yea, no TV isn't exactly ideal. I'm just going to keep up with my shows online, to be frank." Ethan shrugged. He wouldn't miss Steven Universe. It may be on a children's network but it's for adults too! The show is real, damn it! It'll hit you in the feels! No way he'd miss that!

"And you don't have to give me a phone if it's any trouble..." Ethan remarked, still a bit unsure of taking something like that so casually. "I mean, I'm not trying to be rude, but I want you to be sure about this. Don't do anything rash, man." Ethan remarked, looking at his cheeky smile.

"I thought you could hook up consoles to a monitor and just use that instead.

Was that true?"Great, and the debate continues." he said, but actually he decided to he was going to send them both back home anyway. They were relics of days now past. When Julian's mutant powers emerged, he was not allowed any friends over, and he was not allowed to leave much, especially alone. They didn't want to risk the high society world finding out their darling boy was a mutant. So video games became his social interaction. It also instilled in him an over active sense of heroism.

But now, interacting with Ethan, Julian was starting to realize he wasn't going to need the
video games to have a social life anymore.

"And you don't have to give me a phone if it's any trouble. I mean, I'm not trying to be rude, but I want you to be sure about this. Don't do anything rash, man."

"Oh, no. Dude. It's no trouble at all, honestly. Don't worry about it. I say we are 'well off' but that is actually an understatement. A big one. Not that it really matters anyway, because one of the great injustices of our world is that if you are super rich, people give you stuff for free." Julian shook his head a little. It really didn't make sense.

There was something more Julian really wanted to know about the school. It has been bothering him since he heard of Xavier's, and he had to know. "So my Father sent me here..." he paused. Did he really want to drop this on Ethan this early in the relationship? "..because he wants me to learn how NOT to be a mutant." He let that hang in the air for a bit. "Dad is ashamed." It felt weird to say the truth out loud. That was exactly what it was though. "Is that, really what they teach here? Are they going to instruct me on how to act normal?" Julian hoped his facial expression betrayed how he felt about it. It was hard to admit he was a disappointment to his father, but more than anything he did not want to have to live a life of pretending, once he was back outside the walls of this mansion.

Alright then, so he's not just well off, he's rich. Ethan thought, listening to Julian reassure him about the phone. Ethan could have guessed that Julian had a lot of money by the sheer amount of luggage he had, but he didn't want to jump to conclusions. It didn't really matter to Ethan one way or the other if he had money anyway. He was a nice guy, plain and simple. He was just confused as to why he had undersold his wealth before. But one thing was certain: "If you are super rich, people give you stuff for free."

That did not make sense.

But Ethan took a quiet reserve as Julian began to speak of his father and his reasons for coming to the school.

"My Father sent me here because he wants me to learn how NOT to be a mutant."

That sort of reason didn't exactly seem to click for Ethan at first, but then it came to him. If he understood correctly, Julian's father was a fairly influential man, and of the distinguished upper class. Mutants weren't wholly accepted in the world, and Ethan understood that kind of shame first hand. There was a reason he was arriving at this school only now.

"Is that, really what they teach here? Are they going to instruct me on how to act normal?" He asked.

Taking a moment of contemplation, Ethan thought about how to respond. He felt bad for the guy, but he didn't want to be overtly blunt about that kind of thinking. But he realized he was overthinking his response a bit too long when he saw Julian looking to him for a response. He didn't have the right answer, he just had his answer. Taking a moment, Ethan took a deep breath and responded with what came naturally.

"Well that's a stupid reason to send you here." Ethan remarked, folding his arms. A bit blunt, but it's what came to him. "You know what Mr. Summers told me when I arrived here a week ago?" Ethan asked him, knowing he wouldn't have an answer.

"He turned to me and said, I believe in you. I believe in every single student here at this school no matter where they came from, no matter their powers. I know that each and every one of you are more than the world tells you you are, and I'm here to give you the chance that the Professor gave me. The chance to decide your own fate. It's all right to be afraid of your powers. Yoda was wrong. Fear does not lead to anger. Fearing your powers mean you'll respect them.""

Ethan finished quoting the headmaster with a sense of having remembered a fond moment long passed, even though the interaction had only happened a week ago. Usually Ethan would have forgotten such a long statement after an hour, let alone a week. But that moment imprinted itself in his mind as a moment of true acceptance of who he was from someone who could understand how he was feeling. But he would undoubtedly forget how that quote went within a few more weeks.

And I guess it's my turn to give that to someone else.

Putting his leg up on his bed, he brought his knee up to chin level before crossing his arms over it and leaning forward with a reassuring smile that didn't appear until the end of his statement. He had only arrived at this school a week before, and he was unsure about a lot of things, but his optimism had won him over with what this school was. This kid looked like he needed it anyway.

"And he's not wrong. Being a mutant isn't anything to be ashamed of, and this school lets you know that. We're not freaks or anything like that. This school doesn't teach you how to be normal, this school teaches you that you are normal. We're people, just the same as everyone else. And they make sure we know that we're that and not monsters. I've had that kind of sense of doubt and shame about being a mutant for a long time too you know. And let me just say that after one week at this school, I'm damn proud to be here. I've met people who can punch through trees and people who can get punched through trees. Kids with wings or magic-like armor, or even you, with your telekinesis. You're all people, just like me or anyone else. So no, this school isn't going to teach you to be normal. They just show you that nothing was ever wrong with you to begin with."

"Well that's a stupid reason to send you here."

This caused Julian to snap his head up and look at Ethan. The boy suddenly had a lot more conviction in his voice. That is probably because he was right. Julian just listened as Ethan continued with a canter that would have made Martin Luther King Jr. proud. He imparted the wisdom bestowed upon him by Mr. Summers.

"...So no, this school isn't going to teach you to be normal. They just show you that nothing was ever wrong with you to begin with."

Julian never really realized how much he absolutely needed someone to tell him that, until Ethan was saying it. He didn't have to learn to be normal, he already was. It felt good, but in the back of his mind he was sad because he knew that that meant there was nothing he could ever do now, to regain his Father's approval. His Dad did not understand what Xavier's would be, but Julian was not going to tell him either. He would fight that battle later. The first thing he learned at the school was that he was allowed to pick his own destiny.

"Thanks Ethan" Julian told his roommate with a sincere smile. He was quite impressed by the boy. Seemed like Ethan had a eloquence and even leadership potential. At this moment all the luggage and money seemed ...silly, and Julian couldn't imagine NOT having a roommate. If they had been girls, they would be hugging right now. Probably crying too. Julian settled with a friendly punch to Ethan's shoulder.

"Mr. Summers." Julian repeated. He remembered seeing the name on his paperwork somewhere. "He sounds like a good man. I really think I am going to like it here. Looks like there is a lot of looking out for each other. I'm down with that. You get my back, and I'll get yours." Julian smiled to his new friend.

"But seriously, touch my hair products and I'll cut you." Julian turned back to his pile of t-shirts, and moved them to a drawer. He chuckled a bit.

"Ah, no need to thank me." Ethan shrugged, doing that one motion of disregarding something by waving your hand in front of your face as if you were swiping something slowly. "It's just what's the truth man, you don't really have to thank me for that. You'd have figured it out sooner or later during your time here at this school. I'm already starting to after one week." He remarked as he took the friendly punch.

"And I'd really hope you know who Mr. Summers is, you need to behave around him. Mr. Summers is one of the acting headmasters of the school, so you should really be able to identify him. You can spot him pretty easily because he always has glasses on. Never remove the glasses, evidently that's all that keeps his powers in check. Just warning you now in case. The other headmaster is his wife, but I don't really know what she looks like, so I can't help you there. And I'd hope you have my back. I sleep next to you, so you have to man the fire extinguisher in case I flare up or something." Ethan remarked with a slight chuckle. "Or spark up. Or glow. Really anything involving fire. But I'll get your back the best I can. Why wouldn't I?" He asked this as if he saw no reason for there to be an agreement to do so. And he really didn't. He saw someone that needed help and he helped, his optimistic view of life dictated that. But he was grateful to his new roommate nonetheless.

"And yea... no promises on the hair products if they get caught in a fire. That's your duty. Prevent fires."

I really should avoid that stuff though...

"And I'd really hope you know who Mr. Summers is, you need to behave around him."

What was that supposed to mean? What indication has Julian given that he can't behave? Oh, right, he thought as he remembered the more potentially controversial points in their conversation so far. Most notably elitism, womanizing, and threats of cutting. Given all this, Julian decided to keep his passive curiosity on if Mr. Summer's wife is "hot", to himself.

"How do glasses keep powers in check? Is nearsightedness a mutation now? What's his power, Astigmatism?" Julian laughed a bit, but his smile soon fell as he realized this was exactly the type of behaving that Ethan was talking about. He consciously decided to forgo a comment about the glasses being the only piece to an entire secret identity for a double life as a spy. As if just a pare of glasses would be enough to keep people from recognizing you. "I'll be good." he promised. Now he really needed to find out what Mr. Summers looked like, so he could keep from putting his foot in his mouth.

"..you have to man the fire extinguisher in case I flare up or something."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I am not sure if we are allowed 'danger' outside of it's allotted room, so you are going to have to restrict your pyromania to designated areas only." he laughed a little. " Oh wait, you're serious?" He looked at Ethan, and gave the other boy another up and down. "You really spark?" he stared at Ethan's chest, as if waiting for it to burst into flames any time now. "That is amazing. Does it hurt? Has it happened before? Oh your poor clothes." Julian slowly and cautiously extended a finger and poked Ethan in the shoulder to see if he could coax a response. Receiving none, he poked a few more times for good measure.

"You can count on me for fireman duty." He took a moment to locate his nearest fire extinguisher. There were actually two large ones in two different spots in the room. Probably not a coincidence. "How do you feel about smuthering, because I have actually been wanting to see if I can use my telekinesis to put out flames." As he asked, he used said telekinesis to push his suitcase of hair products far from Ethan's bed. Some of those products were actually pretty flammable.

"How do glasses keep powers in check? Is nearsightedness a mutation now?"

Well it's certainly good that Julian is such a respectful guy, or else he may come across as sarcastic. That thought in itself was sarcastic.

"Well I don't really know much about Mr. Summers's powers, but he gave me a little clue. Really all he said was that if he took off his glasses there would be a skylight reaching through all three stories of the school, so I think it'd be safe to assume that removing those glasses is not a good idea. Not that I assume you're planning on doing so, but it's just as a precautionary warning."

"I'll be good."

"And yea, that'd be good. Something tells me he's used to trouble makers or people trying to grab his glasses. Years of experience I guess." Ethan laughed, shrugging. That also meant that Ethan shouldn't really climb anything, but he'd grown out of the impulsive stage of that phase. He wouldn't have a problem staying out of trouble for that.

Laughing as Julian seemingly looked at him as if he were some sort of time bomb, the boy smiled. "Well, yea." He shrugged in a friendly, casual tone. "I spark, sure. And ignite. Sometimes glow, and sometimes ember. I imagine I could be radioactive too. Really, whatever happens to me is dependent on what form of energy I have absorbed. True, after a while it all processes into the new energy, but there's a buffer period. I haven't really gotten to the point of control with my powers where I can control when or how quickly I do that. But you really shouldn't have to worry about me igniting unless I can't control the energy I have stored up. That usually only happens when too much enters my system, or conflicting types do at the same time. Oh, and if I panic. Makes me lose focus, which leads to more bad stuff. A pretty bad cycle, if I do say so myself." He continued, shrugging, as he was used to this.

Allowing Julian to poke him, he continued with an amused flair. "You won't get me to react by poking me though. I don't really have anything stored up, just some sunlight that's drifted in. And I've got to be honest... not a fan of the smothering. While I get depriving fire of oxygen is important, I kind of need that too." He mused. "And going back a bit... yea, it can hurt. Only if I really lose control of way too much energy though. Or again, if conflicting types of energy try to come in at once. It's like a violent expulsion from my body sometimes." He continued to explain, not really understanding it fully himself.

"And dude, I'm way ahead of you on clothes. I have two of everything in case. I have lost a jacket and a shirt since coming here though. The jacket was left on the plane though, so no issue there."

Julian was starting to understand that his roommate was an energy tank of some kind, and he had to admit he did not like the sound of "violent expulsion". Julian wondered if his TK shield would be enough to protect him from Ethan's blast, should the need ever arise.

Julian wanted to test everything, and couldn't wait to get started. He wanted to see everyone's powers and see how they could work as a team. On one hand, he couldn't imagine having a team without Ethan on it now, but on the other hand how could someone who uncontrollably explodes work on a team safely? It was a conundrum. Something told Julian that Ethan would some day figure out how to control his mutation more, and be more powerful than all of them. Until then, he would back the other boy up, all the way.

"Well, I guess you have seen my powers pretty much. I am telekinetic. That's all there is to it really. I can make myself fly with it though. It's my favorite part. The school got a policy on flying students?" Not that he was planning anything, but Julian imagined that flying would make it easier to sneak off grounds, and with strong TK like his, he could take quite a few people with him. It will be interesting to see what his future will bring here at Xavier's. Sneaking out and getting into trouble is a normal part of growing up. Even the school faculty has to understand that. He imagined that even Mr. Summers had to have broken a few rules in his time. Boys will be boys, and all that.

"So, you going to introduce me to some of the other students? I bet a nice guy like you has a lot of friends already." Subtlety was not one of Julian's strong points, as anyone could have guessed by now, but at least he wasn't fake about it. He genuinely saw Ethan as the kind of good person that would attract a crowd; and not that he wanted to use his new roommate, but Julian hoped to get in good with the student body as well.

"The school got a policy on flying students?"

Ethan really had no idea. Sure, the school closely regulated anything that was going on within its boundaries, but he couldn't imagine there were a lot of restrictions in place. Especially given the fact that some kids literally had wings as a result of their mutations. And on top of all that, the school could probably just monitor a student if they take flight, so there really shouldn't be an issue there either. But then again, the school probably doesn't appreciate the possibility of students dive bombing one another for Halloween pranks or something.

Best to play it safe...ish.

"Well..." Ethan put on a thinking face, turning his head to the side as he leaned on his knee, turning back once he was ready to continue. "I really don't know to be honest. I really think that you should ask one of the teachers or something about that. Until you know for sure, I can't really condone that." Ethan shrugged, then put on a sly smile. "But... considering faculty members punch each other through trees here and there aren't any rules specifically against it in the papers you got... I can't actively discourage it either." Ethan responded, laughing slightly to himself. This kid was going to get him in trouble. Or the other way around. Or both.

"I bet a nice guy like you has a lot of friends already."

"Actually, I've just been trying to manage here so far. Adjusting. There are some pretty nice people I've met though..." Ethan paused, thinking on anyone who'd left an impression on him. "Well the school janitor was pretty nice and friendly... Derek was his name. And the big metal guy who turned him into an artillery shell was really cool too. Piotr Rasputin, Russian guy. Has a kid and is entirely made of metal when he wants to be. Goes by Colossus. There's also a kid with three eyes named Spencer and a girl named Hisako, she was nice. And a few other people here and there. I've only been here a week though. You don't really find your people in that short an amount of time, you know?"

Julian listened to Ethan talk about the other people at the school. The Janitor? Julian supposed he was okay with being friends with the cleaning staff. He never really thought about the cleaning crew being mutants as well. He would have to keep an eye out for Derek.

Then it was almost like Ethan was saying nonsense about a Russian who is metal when he wants to be, and a kid with three eyes. All things that would have sounded crazy in any other context.

"Goes by Colossus?" Julian repeated. "Okay, that is actually kind of cool. We need cool nick names like that." Julian looked around as if he were physically seeing ideas form. " Something like, 'Paragon'. What do you think? Too prideful? Maybe something more flashy. 'Zeon'. Hmm, maybe not. You could be 'Sparky'. Ya think? Come one, it's descriptive. What about 'Catalyst'? Hmm, maybe we should avoid anything that sounds like 'cattle'. Don't want any cow comparisons. Kind of wish I had packed a thesaurus." This was a school. Supposedly, they should be able to find one somewhere.

"Well, don't worry man. You and I will be ruling this school in no time. Two powerful and ruggedly handsome yet surprisingly sensitive guys like us? I mean, look at your jaw line and try not to think the word 'chiseled'. You can't." Julian smiled, but he really meant it. He had thought about it a long time. He expected to be a big deal with his powers, and do something great, and he wanted mutant friends to be there with him. "You ever feel like you want to do more with your powers? With all the weird stuff that is going on in the world the last 6 years, do you feel like you have the powers for a reason? It's like nature did it's part by giving us gifts, but it is up to us to become, well, the best." Julian kind of wanted to hear that Ethan felt exactly the same, and that they would push each other. It was probably a lot to expect from someone he only just met.

The young man couldn't help but laugh as Julian started to think of nicknames for the two of them. Or code names... whatever you call them. Julian certainly had a lot of ideas, so why not have a bit of fun and play along for just a little bit?

"Well, actually Paragon doesn't mean 'good guy', per se. Paragon basically means you're the perfect embodiment or example of a quality. For example, someone could be a Paragon of Destruction if they're, well, destructive. It's all on your personality... but that's aside the point."

Ethan didn't really have a witty retort for Zeon, and he wasn't exactly a fan of Sparky. He did a lot more than spark and he knew it! Still, Ethan continued to list of his responses to each name.

"All I really know about Catalyst is that it's something with chemistry or something else..." He shook his head. He wasn't a dictionary. "Yea, we should probably grab a thesaurus from the library or something."

Moving past potential names for him, Julian went on to compliment Ethan's looks. He really appreciated the compliment, he did, but he'd never really been good at taking that kind of praise. He just didn't know how to react. Scratching the back of his head awkwardly, Ethan responded.

"Well, to be honest with you I don't really think about that kind of stuff about me. Looks or names or stuff like that... it just doesn't cross my mind buddy." He smiled with a shrug. "So... I don't really know how to respond to that. It's not my strong area..."

"You ever feel like you want to do more with your powers? "

This and the following statement was certainly thinking for the future, and Ethan couldn't honestly say he hadn't thought the same.

"Well... yea." He shrugged. "I kind of do. If I ever really get past my own issues with my powers, I do want to help other mutants that had the same kind of fearful thinking that I did. And also just try to do good by me. You know? I may go for Legacy Squad when I graduate, but I've barely been here and I got a long way to go. Once I've been here longer I'll start to seriously think about that if the thought stays with me. Does that make sense?"

He thought about Ethan's reply. Julian didn't want to waste any time waiting to see about the future. He was going to make it happen by deciding what he wanted now, and going for it. He thought about how different today had turned out. His father had pitched Xavier's to him as a place where he would learn to suppress his powers, and try to fit in with lesser beings. And it wasn't like the boy was then given a choice. His father had made up his mind. Julian had already decided that he would at least check the school out. The idea of being a place where everyone was a mutant was exciting, but if they had tried to reprogram him to be a normal human, he was going to run away. Better to live on the street than a lie. Perhaps that explains why he packed so much luggage. He wasn't really sure where he was going to end up. Now, Ethan had put those fears to rest. He was going to live here and learn to use his powers to make sure no other mutant had to live a lie.

It was good to see Ethan having a fun time with the code names. "Oh, duh." Julian smacked himself in the forehead, and picked his cell phone back up from the bed. "Obviously, neither of us have 'common sense' powers." He went to a dictionary/thesaurus app on his phone. He typed in "Catalyst"

"One of the meanings is 'a person or thing that precipitates an event or change'. Eh, not exactly what I thought it would be." He scowled a bit, as he scrolled over to the thesaurus. "Reactant".

He looked a bit at Ethan to see if he looked like a "Reactant". Not really. "Why don't we just call you Energy Sponge." Oh, he was going to have fun with this too now. "Absorbent Boy" he laughed "Charge, or Charger maybe. Oh, Energizer how about? Maybe we could get you an endorsement contract. If they refuse, we could go to Duracell. Or no, you said clean energy before, we can call you Solar Panel: friend to the environment." He said the last bit like a radio announcer. " Power Pack.... eh. probably already been done."

"Yea, I gotta be honest. Reactant isn't really doing it for me either." Ethan laughed.

Julian was certainly having fun with all the names he could have. He'd kind have moved past the question he had asked about wanting to help people entirely so he could keep looking for synonyms to name Ethan. Or at least it seemed that way. Ethan didn't really mind, but he certainly didn't want to get stuck with a stupid nickname for the entire year. But Julian didn't really seem like the kind of guy who'd push something if it really bothered someone, so he decided not to worry about it.

"Or... idea for code name. Why don't we pick a name for me after we get a better understanding of my powers? I mean sure, I know what it does in general and mostly what I need to avoid... but there's still a lot of parts of it that I don't get. Like what's the energy I make, where does what I absorb go, why does there always seem more of the energy than what I would have initially absorbed in a raw form, and so on. There's just a lot that we need to figure out, you know?" Ethan chimed in.

It was a fair point to make, after all. Ethan still had a lot that he needed to find out about himself and what he could do past the random expulsions of energy. But the basic training exercises at the school were more than likely to help him figure that out. After all, if they were working with his abilities to help him control them and find out what he could do, how could they not? But figuring out exactly how his powers worked would most likely involve science. Ethan wasn't the best at that. But he'll certainly try if he has to.

I'll try to science, why not?

Fair enough. Ethan was right. After all, wasn't that why he was at the school? Clearly Julian was not the only one here to try and find himself. It was nice to have someone to go through it with that would understand the basic fundamental need to be who you were, and the best you can be. If he didn't already like Ethan, Julian would have now. There was something about the calm logic of the boy that balanced out Julian's more impetuous nature.

"Well, if there is anything I can do to help you out Buddy, just let me know. I mean, I am no biologist, but I could probably help keep you from killing anyone." He said the last bit with a smile and a wink. Then Julian realized he winks a lot. He should probably stop that. "Who knows, you might just be the most powerful mutant ever, once they figure out the nature of your power." The idea pleased Julian. If he couldn't be the most powerful, he wouldn't mind being in good with the guy who was. Clearly Ethan's powers were still a mystery to even him, and a mystery that Julian couldn't wait to see the answer to, because he had the feeling it was going to be big.

Julian was texting now, since he had the phone in hand anyway. He was sending a message to his father's personal assistant, Lucinda, who always seemed to have a bit of a thing for Julian. He asked her to procure another next gen phone for his new roommate, and have it overnighted to the school. He ended it with a winky emoticon. Julian learned very early on that TK wasn't his only super weapon. Beside his mutant ability, the powers that be have granted him good looks and charm, both of which he wielded to great effect. Not that it was insincere when he complimented people or treated them nicely, he just knew when to go out of his way to give the compliment. To his point, Lucinda's reply came almost immediately that she was going to do it right away, and it was followed up with a smiley emoticon. Then she gave him a bit of a hard time about having a roommate. He smiled to himself just thinking about Lucinda back home in California. Then his smile fell a little as he thought about his family.

He knew when his Father found out that the school wasn't actually teaching people to suppress their powers, that he would stop paying the tuition, and demand Julian return home. He would have to cross that bridge when he came to it.

He forced a big smile back onto his face and looked up at Ethan . "All set Bud. You're new phone will be here tomorrow." He tossed his phone back onto his bed. "All I ask in return is that you please not be a snorer. I am actually a pretty light sleeper, and that would be a nightmare."

Eh, it's probably just that. A habit. No big deal.

"Well... I don't really know if I'd say I'll be that powerful," Ethan remarked in a slightly embarrassed fashion, scratching the back of his head. Ethan never really wanted to get the impression that he was better than other people, so he tended to dissuade any compliments. The way he saw it, praising any aspects of himself was just going to feed an ego that he simply did not want to have.

"What you can do..." He remarked, pausing for a moment. "You can just let me know if I'm glowing or flaring up or anything. Just make sure to do it calmly. To put it simply, if I panic the situation is going to go downhill very quickly." He nodded. "Oh! And also, just in case we end up in a training session together, my powers don't quite work all at once. I can process what I absorb into energy, but one substance at a time. If I absorb fire, AKA heat, you can't have me handle, say, electricity next. You'd have to wait until I've processed the heat. That kind of incident is something I really want to avoid, so I'm telling you this now since you're my roommate. It hurts and it's dangerous. But aside from those two things and the fireman duty, you should be fine in terms of things you can do to help." The young mutant finally finished summarizing what to avoid, giving a warm smile.

Hopefully Julian got all that while texting, it's hard to tell sometimes. But if he didn't he'd probably hear it again eventually, so Ethan wasn't really worried. He did look up just as he finished talking, so that was some indicator of him listening. Right?

"All set Bud. You're new phone will be here tomorrow."

Just like that?

"Just like that?"

No, seriously. Just like that? The boy tilted his head in surprise. He didn't expect a new phone so soon, especially considering how recently he'd met this guy. He certainly showed signs of becoming a good friend, especially since they were living together. He shook his head and responded.

"Thanks, but fret not. I'm not a snorer." He remarked, answering with an amused smile.
