Date: May 10th, 2015 Time: 10:30 AM Taking place just after Interview Jitters and New Beginnings Changes. Eric knew that some changes would be made as soon as he walked into the doors of Xavier's again. As he walked through the gates and down the driveway, he thought about everything that led him up to this point. He thought about the people he was walking way from. The people that may not like that he had returned. But most of all, he thought about the opportunity that he was about to be given. This was a new start, a new beginning. Today, Eric Gitter would close a chapter in his life, and open another in the process. He continued walking towards the front door. Today was the day that for a long while he actually dreaded. Yet today was the start of the path to redemption. The path to making changes for the better. He grew tired of being a thief and living off the streets. He would move forward from here on out, or at least he'd give it his best shot. Eric stopped for a moment and took a look around, turning to face the gates again. He could turn around and not go through with this decision. It would be easy, but he didn't do anything easy. Eric smirked as he shook his head, turning back around and making his way to the door. Reaching for the handle to open the front door, he stopped for another second to take in what he was about to do. It felt right being back here. This was the best place for him, he told himself. He opened the door and walked inside. Waiting for him was none other than Scott Summers. Cyclops, the man who had been through so much hell, Eric couldn't even begin to think how he could keep going. But Scott was a fighter. He was a leader. He was everything Eric wasn't, but today was the day all of that would change. "Thank you," Eric could only say as he approached Scott. He was greatful for this opportunity. He belonged here. And he would prove everyone wrong about himself. Today was his return, and today was only just the beginning. |

Punches from the Punch Dimension
|
The Xavier School was a very special place, and its perseverance proved it. It had been attack, lost, rebuilt, there had been fighting on the very grounds that it stood on, there had been loss, death... personal tragedies and world changing ones. But the school still stood as a beacon of hope, it had to. This was where those who were told they were monsters and freaks learned that they weren't either of those things. They learned to control themselves, to be productive members of society, to serve not only their people but their world. This was the place where the lost could find themselves, and it showed in the fact that even those who had believed that they couldn't be saved returned to the school when they needed it. Scott considered himself a child of this school, and of Professor Xavier, the man who had kept him from becoming the bitter, angry, crippled criminal Ruby... and was it not the perfect testament to the strength of his teachings that even Ruby had found some kind of redemption here. Given the fact that he had so recently been something dark and cruel, that he had been so lost after coming back to himself... being here, being allowed to stand here among these people who hadn't given up on him, not just among them... but in front of them, still allowed to represent them, to lead them... Scott realized how lucky he was, and he would never turn away anyone who needed help... even after Nathaniel Rivette... he would never turn away anyone who needed help. "Thank you," Eric said as he approached. Offering his hand, Scott nodded, "Mr. Gitter, this is home. You don't need to thank me for coming home." |
