July 31st 2:15am Shield Interrogation Room ________________________________ Waking up in an unknown place is a strange sensation, it was even stranger when generally you didn't need to sleep, and thus never really woke up at all. It was the bright florescent lights that woke him up his eyes opened suddenly, before squinting to avoid going blind. His head felt like it weighed a ton, and when he tried to move his hands to rub his head, he found himself handcuffed securely to a table. Aww, shit Thebe thought to himself. It wasn't the first time he had woke up in handcuffs, but as the memories of what happened came flooding back to him...he frowned. Slowly Thebe lifted his head, being nulled always made him a bit sluggish and whatever it was that had used to subdue him still had him feeling a bit woozy. He knew where he was, there was no way in hell they NYPD had the the equipment or training to put him down. Which only meant that somehow, someway SHIELD had gotten a hold of him. "Fuck, FUCK, Fuck." Thebe thought to himself angrily as he realized exactly what had happened. "Six fucking months wasted...I didn't get him." He had been close, oh so very close, it wasn't for that- "Rise and shine princess." The voice a dickhead stated mockingly as a pair of SHIELD agents came in the room. They looked like what guy would look like if the most douchebag of frat boys got together and constructed a person. "Did you enjoy your nap?" The other agent said as they both sat down across the tabls from him. "Not particularly..." His head felt cold. "Where's my hat?" Thebe asked. "We're asking the questions here." One of them said sternly, trying to establish who was the authority. "Yeah, well I aint answering shit to I know where my hat's at." Thebe shot back stubbornly. "It's in evidence!" "When do I get it back?" "Don't worry about it!" "You know, Ya'll are rude as shit. I don't think I wanna talk to you guys, you took my hat, these handcuffs are too tight...and" Thebe leaned in. "Both of yall fucking haircuts are lame as fuck, you look like an asshole made love to a douchebag, got it pregnant. And the end result was you two douchebaggy asshole fuck heads." Thebe said furrowing his brow, and yanking his handcuffs not achieving anything other hand hurting his wrists. "I want a lawyer, or a soda or something." Thebe added. "Listen here, you little prick we got you in a room, with a whole lot a Russian mobsters, and a whole lot of guns, and a drugs. We want to know...why you were there." "I was delivering a pizza." "Don't fucking play with us, we'll have you in lock up for the rest of your life." "Okay! OKAY! Chill" Thebe stated sounding concerned, and as if finally he was going to cooperate. "There's no need for all that now....I got something to say....alittle, you know information." He looked from side to side. "You know....evidence." The SHIELD agents smirked thinking they had finally gotten his attention. Thebe leaned forward, and so did the SHIELD agents. "Fuuuuck you." Thebe whispered with a smirk and a chuckle. Which caused the agent to jump at him, Thebe leaned back as far as one could when they were handcuffed securely to a table. Right before the agent got his hands on him however the door opened. |

This had been on the cards ever since Henry had met Thebe Okonma. A good guy by all accounts, but then within five minutes meeting him he’d watched the kid beat the crap out of a couple of Russian Mobsters, just feet from Henry’s new apartment. He’d just moved off the carrier and wasn’t too keen to let that sort of thing go on, literally, on his own door step. In an attempt to nip the problem in the bud he’d run his own semi-official investigation. He’d even thrown thousands of dollars at XFI for Madrox to gather intelligence on his behalf. Things had dragged however and without any immediate threat to himself or his neighbour Henry put the matter on the back burner. Between the Blackwing assignment, his routine work, and numerous missions since there simply wasn’t time. The files he’d built up during that time were still valuable intelligence. The connection between Omega Red and the New York Bratva couldn’t be ignored, so he’d passed them onto the NYC field office. He’d glazed over Thebe’s involvement of course, the guy had enough problems as it was without being swept up in the drag-net. Just to be safe he’d kept his ear to the door which is how he came to know about the raid, and Thebe’s current predicament. Initially he’d been apprehensive since once SHIELD realised they had a neighbour of one of their agents in custody they’d start asking some very serious questions. SHIELD generally wasn’t too keen on coincidences. Fortunately his position in MDIV, and as the primary source of intelligence for the operation, afforded him access and a certain degree of authority. He couldn’t just release Thebe, but he could make sure he was kept out of serious trouble. Plus, he’d get to see the look on Thebe’s face when the penny dropped. We’ll see who steals whose wifi now. He opened the door. His smile faded, his expression turned cold, and turned a piercing glare on each agent in turn. He took a step to one side and held the door open for them to go. “Leave.” “Hey, liste-” one began. “MDIV.” Henry cut him off. “You can flop your jurisdiction out to measure up and I’ll castrate you with my mind.” The two agents complied. MDIV had authority over metahuman cases but he could tell by the dirty looks he got on the way out that he’d be hearing about this in an official capacity, probably some time in the next forty minutes. He locked the door behind them and took a moment to at least look like he was trying to collect himself. Apparently, threatening his coworkers was disturbingly close to calm for him now. Even after therapy. He turned and went to the desk, pulled out a chair and sat down. “I apologise for the behaviour of my colleagues. They’re used to dealing with, well, people unlike us. They lack sensitivity, I suppose.” He sighed, and interlocked his fingers to stop him them from fidgeting. Gloves made him uncomfortable in an interrogation setting. He felt there was something fascistic about the image, but wasn’t certain how Thebe would react to his cybernetics. Normally when he was at home he’d worn a simulated skin covering and so as far as anyone he met knew it was a perfectly normal human arm. “Is there something I can get you? And before you say released, I mean like a drink or some magazines.” |

In Thebe's mind he was already up shit creek , he was going to jail. He didn't really care, it wasn't like he had all that much going for him anyway. The only thing that really upset him about it was that he didn't get his hands on Mirkov first. In fact that was the only thing going through his mind as the pissed off SHIELD agent tried to tear his head off. Right as the guy got his hands on him someone entered and called him off, and when Thebe saw who it was he was both surprised, and confused. "Holy Shit, What. the. fuck." Thebe stated astonished as he gaped speechlessly at man talking to him. It was lame Henry from down the hall, the guy literally lived down the hall from Thebe's apartment in mutant town, he'd helped him move in and everything. Thebe had never really thought about the guy much, he managed to crack his wifi password for awhile, but that was it. He was a strange guy, and Thebe didn't really see him much, and never had any idea who he was, or what he did for a living. Never in a million years would he have guessed that the guy was some sort of high ranking SHIELD agent. "You know, I knew there was something off about you." Thebe stated simply trying his best to act as if he wasn't just caught completely off guard. He eyed the man closely sizing him up, trying to figure where he stood in all of this. The cybernetic arm raised a brow. "You know, all this time we've lived down the hall from each other, I don't think I every noticed you was a cyborg." Thebe commented his Brooklyn accent as heavy as ever. "So, what are the chances I'm being pranked by a hidden camera show right now...are those still a thing? Camera shows." Thebe said looking around jokingly as if he was searching for hidden cameras, he was sure there were camera recording them...not for any TV show though. "Got to be, aint no way you're a fed living in the same building as me." Thebe said with a smirk. Thebe only smirked when Orchard apologized for his colleagues and offered him something to eat or drink. "I don't know what things are like where you're from, but where I'm from SHIELD agent, and sensitivity aren't exactly fucking synonymous terms." Thebe said with a deep breath, before leaning back. "Honestly, they were a lot more gentle then the last SHIELD agents I dealt with, and I'd love something to drink thank you. You guys got that new orange mountain dew? I think it's called sunrise, or sunkiss or something. I forget, I get it all the time at the 7-Eleven on 30th." "Oh, uh...do you know where they put my hat?" |
