RP Dueling Dueling through forums is basically impossible. If you make a move and completely fulfill it through all 6 phases, your opponent may have the possibility of activating a card. Therefore, it completely ruins the whole move that you had posted and your opponent cannot do anything to stop it (like, editing on your own post). Which is why, we use the wikia to duel. By using the wikia, it is much more easier to duel if the duelists are dueling through one whole edit screen that they both share. By doing so, you are able to edit out part of an opponent's turn and activate something, that way, it's more fluent than just forums. Plus, having a dueling field is much more convenient in the wikia. When creating an RP, you obviously open up a topic with another person. You stick with that topic until it's over. Your characters CANNOT be in the same area twice in one time. After that topic is done, you submit it to the Paperwork Cataloging for it to be graded, and then you're rewarded for DP, and you use that to brag and buy more cards. When it comes to writing out a post, you have to be master writers! You cannot just write out a post that's just one sentence and be done with it, your posts in this forum has to be completely proofread, descriptive, and interesting to read! The better your post is, the more possibility of more DP. When dueling through the wikia, it's not required for you to write descriptively. When you get to the point that you want to duel in your topic, you basically shift to the wikia, and create an article. Then you duel there. The guidelines of how to duel is in the wikia itself. The link to the wikia: Yugioh Fanfic Wikia (not fanfic anymore )Limit to Legendary/Rare Monsters The two terms rare and legendary are completely different in this forum. Rare is something that you definitely don't see everyday, but it can be used by practically anyone in this forum. Rare cards can tend to be powerful, terrifying effects, uses special requirements, and even holographic at times. Such examples can contain: Jinzo, Black Luster Soldier, Dark Magician Girl, Elemental Hero Grand Neos, Junk Warrior, Nitro Warrior, etc. Those can be like rare cards. As for legendary, this part is completely different. These are cards in which ONLY one person is capable of holding onto. Cards like these are considered one-off, ancient, and tend to be the ace monster that's in your deck. For these sacred cards, there can ONLY be one copy, and can only be obtained by one person. A list of canon legendary idol cards, can be seen here (URL later) Dueling Deck As a starter of this forum, you can only have 2 rare card slots in your deck, and only 1 legendary card slot. You are able to trade 1 legendary card slot for 2 more rare card slots. But this trade CANNOT be vice-versa. With The Powerful One DQ and A Legendary Story DQ, more card rare/legendary card slots can be opened up to you. As a starter, you can choose any 40 cards into your deck, no cards that's in your side deck, no cards in your trunk, and 5 cards max in your extra deck zone. After selecting your 40 cards, you can use a start-off of 100DP (this is NOT earned DP) to spend on extra cards. You can spend your DP right on this forum. If you don't want to spend, you're able to save the DP for your character. As you earn DP through story threads, you're able to buy more cards and become much more powerful. For each 50DP that you earn through story threads, an additional rare card slot is opened up to you. For every 100DP that you earn through story threads, you get an additional legendary card slot. Advanced Story Threads These are incredibly dangerous story threads in which they are very challenging. They are difficult to pass through. If you somehow make out the story thread alive, the rewards will be raining coins from the sky. Advanced story threads need a mod to accompany with. So, why do you have to do advanced story threads? At the time when you want another legendary card (your first doesn't count), an advanced story thread is needed in order to get that legendary card. In order for you to do one, you must have more than 100DP. You are able to do advanced story threads for fun. But, remember...the risks of having your character dead is high. |
