Darius Belford
Prince of Zenith
The city of Zenith was established as a trade port in 1713 in Connecticut, and from the beginning, had a steadily growing population due to its proximity to the other trade cities in the area as well as ample fertile land for farming. It was one of the few cities at the time that traded freely and fairly with the native americans, leading to a well-established presence of them in the city today.

Over the decades, it became sort of a haven for those wishing to escape oppressive circumstances, even issuing ordinances long before the civil war abolishing slavery within city limits. Of course, this didn't detract from the city's reputation as a trade center, and when the industrial revolution began, Zenith was one of the first to make use of the new technology and ideas that were coming into being. Eventually, the city began to rival New York City in size and revenue, but before it could surpass it, a hurricane destroyed many of the city's important buildings, but the industrialist spirit was alive and well, spurring a new expansion and a massive reconstruction effort.

At the height of this new boom, in 1922, was the first record of a supernatural-related murder in the newspapers. They had been in the city long before then, but had managed to keep their activities quiet, paying off the press to cover their activities and true natures. But this time, they couldn't cover it up due to the chaos resulting from the hurricane. No one really had any proof that the supernaturals existed, but after a string of related incidents, they had to be more careful. To this day, most people still don't know what walks among them, but the supernatural population is thriving nonetheless.
