Removing the dirt from her fingernails using the edges of her notebook, Yvan was pissed because she still had ten minutes left before her Anthropology class ended. She could not stand her professor's monotonous voice about how we all are one regardless of our differences and all things related to that matter. Her head was spinning and she thought that she might puke in a few minutes if she didn't get out of the classroom.

Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.

"What can we all learn from being Xenocentric? We all know that it means loving races more than our own. But not all things have completely bad descriptions. What do you think is the good effect of being Xenocentric?" her prof asked.

Her classmates were in their own world of thought. She was also in hers.

She was already hearing voices in her head.

Coffee. Proximity mines. M-16's. Dessert Eagle-----

What?

She lifted her eyebrow.

What the hell was that? Random ammunitions.

Yvan stood up and directly went out of the room for fresh air.

Miguel's pretty quiet. She thought. Really quiet...

She went around the building, looking outside of the building's windows to see what's going on.

Nothing.

Oh well.

Yvan went to the comfort room to take a piss and try to get some shut-eye even just for a while. Someone sniffed. She figured that she has company. Then, her companion started making absurd noises. Yvan was always ignorant. She didn't vote. She didn't even know that her cousin passed away because that time the news broke, she was watching television. And when her parents informed her about the sad news, she simple shrugged and proceeded to watch again. Yes, she's also numb...

SCRBTSSSSSSK! SCRBTSSSSSSK!

Yvan woke up with that noise, instantly figuring out that someone was trying to scratch her cubicle's door off.
Then, she saw that the floor had blood stains and the shoes of the person who was trying to scratch the wooden door with her fingernails had blood too.

The door had a hole now and when she looked closely, she couldn't believe her eyes...

SHIT.

The infected teacher had seen her walk in the bathroom minutes before and it dragged itself across the Miguel corridors just to follow the girl. It pushed on the door but it didn't open. So it tried it once more, but again, it failed. Frustrated, the former teacher (of course, she was also former human), growled and started to scratch at the door.

SCRBTSSSSSSK! SCRBTSSSSSSK!

It scratched the door over and over, attempting to break of the wood that was blocking it from her. The thing heard a faint scream. At the very least, it knew that it's victim was still in there. It clawed through the wood again, hoping that it would soon break apart.

Yvan had to think fast. Time was running out. She didn't know what to do. What the hell was that thing scratching her way to the door? Whatever it was, it obviously wants to hurt her. She kept on cursing. There's only one way to get out: the other cubicle.

Thank God for rubber shoes!

She stepped on the toilet bowl and tried to climb her way on top of the other cubicle...

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBRKS!

The thing finally manged to get inside and it instantly grabbed Yvan's right leg pulling her in the process.

Yvan screamed at the top of her lungs. She fought back by kicking the greenish colored being who tried to indulge in her well-toned leg. Instinct told her that she must not be bitten at all costs.

"HELP! HELP!" Yvan yelled.

No one came. The zombie tried to pull her again, but she managed to kick her down on the floor.

When she landed on the other cubicle , the zombie was still trying to stand.

She ran as fast as she could outside, but was stopped by her professor who was somewhat greenish in color as well.

"Ma'am! We better get out fast! Something's wrong. There's...there's....a-----" she panicked.
"A what, Ms. Lu?" her hands were shaking and she kept on twitching her head.
"We better get out now!"

Then in just a few seconds, the zombie finally managed to get up and run directly at Yvan and her professor.

The thing slithered its way out of the bathroom and spotted its primary target, with another, more appetizingly appealing figure beside her. It snarled loudly, echoing all over the area, before making a run towards the girl and her teacher.

The teacher, not knowing what Yvan had initially meant, suddenly understood it all. What she meant by "something's wrong". She turned to her student and grabbed her arm, pulling her with her as she ran down the stairs of Miguel towards SJ.

"Come on, hurry up, Ms. Lu!" she screamed.

The creature, still persistent upon chasing them, followed as they ran down the stairs. Seeing as they were moving to fast, the creature leaped from top, landing with a loud crunch on the ground floor in front of the two. For a few seconds, the body of whatever that thing was stood motionless, having leaped almost two stories, but then, to their surprise, another snarl and a grumble escaped from its lips.

It stood up, a couple of bones twisted in places, and resumed to hunt its prey.

The professor and Yvan could not believe what just happened. They froze at that instant and they both could not move their legs. They were both shaking with fear as the former INTFILO professor stood up slowly. Her mouth was twisted as if someone punched her making her jaw deformed and her clothes were tattered as if brutally ripped to shreds. She smelled like rotten flesh and her eyes were dripping with blood. Coming from the top and landing on the bottom, her whole body tried to adjust by allowing her to move step by step.

She was limping towards them.

Yvan saw that her right arm was being tightly squeezed by her professor. She looked at her and saw that her Anthropology professor was convulsing and blood started to come out of her mouth.

From the corner of her eye, she saw that there were more heading her way.

She had no choice but to forcefully remove her professor's arm and head back up.

When she reached the third floor, she passed by the warp area also known as the mini bridge to William Hall wherein she spotted old chairs piled in one corner.

"This will do." she told herself.

As she sat behind the pile, she tried to check if any of her body parts were still in their rightful places.
Breathing heavily, she tried to digest what just happened.

"Why did anyone inform us about this?" she said to herself.

Before she could answer her own query, she heard footsteps coming from the bridge. HEAVY footsteps.

SHIT. SHIT. SHIT.

She prayed that they wouldn't see her; that they would just pass by the pile of chairs and resume their "hunting" some place else.

Unfortunately, the Big Guy up there had a better plan...

A group of infested zombies made their way to William Hall, passing the small bridge adjoining Miguel and the other building. They clumped together, moving slowly as one individual unit, just like most frosh blockmates do, trying to scout the area for any meals that they might enjoy. They moved past the bundle of chairs piled up together, ignoring it completely, as they made their way through to SJ.

However, one of the zombies noticed something odd about the pile, making an about face as it went back to observe the chairs stacked aimlessly on top of each other. The others grunted on forward, ignoring the one that went back, still in pursuit for something they can devour.
