NAME: Rainbow Toucan STATUS: Endangered POPULATION: 5,750 LOCATION: Southeast Asia & Amazon Rainforest BIOME: Tropical Rainforest CLOSEST RELATIVE: Keel-Billed Toucan OTHER NAMES: Colour Toucan, Migrating Toucan DESCRIPTION: The rainbow toucan (Ramphastos Rinboas) is a toucan that lives in rainforests in Asia and South America. Rainbow Toucans are endangered, because people hunt them for their beatuiful feathres. The have long legs too. They have one subspcies, the Sahara Rainbow Toucan. PICTURE: |
