Hi there, Invisionfree/Zetaboards veteran here, returning after quite a considerable amount of time, by a referral from a good friend of mine who is staff here.

Forgive me If I'm mistaken, but didn't we come to the conclusion years ago that Service/Advertising forums didn't work and there is barely a market for them? Not since the days of Advertisement Utopia on InvisionFree did one actually succeed.

Gah, and I'm still seeing familiar names in the staff list here as well - Come on guys, can't you just stick at one forum? (Yes, yes Ankelien I know that is hypocritical).

Hi, by the way. ;)

Welcome to Antiquus!

I see your side in saying that advertising forums don't often work, but you should definitely give this one a shot before stereo typing it into the same group as the rest of the fail boards. ;)

Thank you for the welcomes - Back when I was on ZB, all the forums were pretty much the same, but with a different skin(I believe you call it a theme now?), and run by the same group of people, and with these weird names that meant absolutely nothing to the genre of the board.

Most people do say theme, but a few also still refer to themes as 'skins', mainly those that were used to InvisionFree and switched over. haha.

And I understand where you're coming from, we still see a little of that here but the snowglobe that you're most likely familiar with is pretty much dead now.

Haha, I'm guessing you are an IF veteran as well? I remember first trying out ZB and thinking "what the hell is this!?". I still think that the IF Skins were a lot sleeker looking and adventurous than the ZB Themes. The IF CSS was so much easier to navigate.
Is it? Really? That's refreshing to hear - Seemed if you weren't a big name then you had no chance of creating a community.

No, I only joined this network a couple years ago, wasn't a part of the IF days.

We do have some new people around, but there aren't too many boards in the 'glove at all, by new or old people. There are several large forums that are thriving on other parts of ZB though.

Hi, by the way. ;)
This board is proof that advertisement and promotion boards do still work ;)

While it's early to tell, I do see a very bright future for Antiquus.

Welcome aboard anyhow, it's always nice to see a veteran from the early days back. :)
