Iaido *Iaido • Swift Draw D-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu The, literally, most widely recognized attack of Iaido the user is able to draw their katana at a very quick speed and make a powerful slash using that speed in the same instant as the draw happens. This technique is dependent on the user's overall reaction speed as it is usually only used when an opening presents itself or when the user needs their sword quickly. *Iaido • Line Draw D-Rank Kenjutsu A technique used by Iaido practitioners for quick offense it is recognized by its signature stance of one hand just below the opening of the katana sheath and the other firmly on the sword. Drawing it in one swift motion the user creates a horizontal or vertical slash in front of themselves before sheathing the sword as quickly as they can often chaining these strikes together for greater effect. *Iaido • Sheath Draw D-Rank Kenjutsu A more supplementary technique of Iaido based on the fact that Iaido users dislike needlessly drawing their weapon from its sheath if they can avoid it. Instead they will pull the sheath and sword both free and use the sheath as a block which serves a dual purpose as it allows them to perform Iaido techniques from more free directions than normal 'at the waist' draws. When utilized properly this can allow a user to perform a quick change from a simple sheath block, to an attack. The danger of this technique is that if the sheath is destroyed it becomes -much- harder to perform Iaido to the point of crippling any Iaido technique used heavily. *Iaido • Clash Draw D-Rank Kenjutsu When drawing the blade to take an attack is absolutely necessary an Iaido user will typically assume a firm stance and then draw their weapon in an upward arc. This sort of draw makes it easy to bat projectiles away, cut through offending techniques or clash with an opponent's weapon while suffering no drawbacks. The downside is of course that blocking a technique may leave an Iaido user without the ability to sheath his weapon for some time limiting their effectiveness until they can. Iaido • Quick Sheath D-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 5 Taijutsu Through hours of practice Avisa has learned to quickly sheath his weapon with one hand. This allows him sheath his weapon as quickly as possible, even if his left hand is not on the sheath. *Iaido • Beheading Draw C-Rank Kenjutsu A basic Iaido technique ramped up a bit the user draws their katana with one hand and quickly slams their palm into the back of their blade to increase the force behind the swing in any direction. This only works with blunted back katanas but it makes it possible for the user to make full use of their strength and the blade's cutting power to quickly slash apart obstacles. Re-sheathing after this technique may take a bit longer as the hand usually used to assist sheathing is not in the right place. *Iaido • Double Back Draw C-Rank Kenjutsu An Iaido technique used by more skilled users of the style it realizes the concept that the draw's momentum is what makes the attack's speed possible not anything unique about drawing from a sheath. Using this concept the user draws their weapon and then makes an upwards slash followed by a second downward one as they re-sheath the weapon. This causes two deep diagonal cuts in the direction of the draw/sheath that happen nearly at the same time. *Iaido • Snap Draw C-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: 6 Tai A technique that is actually remotely similar to many techniques in other Kenjutsu styles Snap Draw utilizes the user's muscle torque and mental tension combined to produce what is called the 'Blurred Sword' effect. Essentially the user draws their sword so fast and with so much force that the opponent often doesn't realize they've drawn the weapon until the wound has already been inflicted. While essentially similar to the basic Iaido technique this one is literally beyond the normal capability of the user and as such, it can only be used a number of times per thread equal to the user's stamina and taijutsu divided by 2. *Iaido • Iai Beheading Draw B-Rank Kenjutsu Prerequisite: Iaido • Beheading Draw A superhuman version of Beheading Draw the user forces a very quick snap of tension and torque through their arm as they draw their sword and it sends it vertically or across with enough speed that the katana does not visually move from the sheath. Opponents will not see the slash unless they have a Taijutsu equal to the user's Taijutsu. This slash is also incredibly powerful for its speed able to slice through stone in most cases with ease. *Iaido • Reverse Beheading Draw B-Rank Kenjutsu Iaido • Beheading Draw A cousin of the basic Iaido technique in which the user must use the tension in their body in two places at once to first spin around and draw their katana in a single swift motion without stopping the spin, then return to facing their original direction while sheathing their sword. This attack is very powerful and while it lacks the 'visual blur' of most Iaido techniques (Opponents can see it fine, though it is often very hard to read the movements leading up to it), it is still fast enough to disorient opponents greatly. Iijutsu *Blood Clot Technique D-Ranked Ninjutsu This highly useful field technique is applied to bleeding wounds to help encourage the coagulation of the blood. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will hover them over the bleeding wound and begin to channel chakra through it. The chakra will began to thicken the blood, causing it to clot. Wounds must be dealt with one at a time, and the number of wounds that can be tended to within the three (3) posts that this technique lasts depends on their size. Small wounds take very little time to clot, while moderate wounds take one (1) post of concentration to clot, and large wounds take two (2) posts to clot. Although this technique stops the bleeding, the wound remains vulnerable and will require further care after this has been performed. *Chakra Stitching D-Ranked Ninjutsu When traditional stitching supplies aren't available, Chakra Stitching truly shines. After performing a short set of handseals, the user will gently place his/her index finger at the base of the patient's wound. Once this is done, the user will lift his/her finger and touch it to the other side of the wound, causing a visible 'stitch' of chakra to appear. This is repeated until the wound has been pulled together. Although precision is key, this technique can still be performed relatively quickly. Small to moderate wounds take very little time to stitch, while large wounds will take one (1) post of work to mend. This technique lasts for four (4) posts. *False Death D-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: 3 Iijutsu This simple ninjutsu is comprised of the user's knowledge of the human body and the ability to mask all vital signs. By focusing chakra throughout the body to preserve its function while in this state, the user can appear to be dead as long as they have chakra to spare. This act can seem very realistic to the untrained opponent, but is foiled by sensor techniques, certain doujutsu and jutsu, and the Medical Diagnosis technique. *Oxygen Flow D-Ranked Ninjutsu Simple in its form yet highly effective in practice, the Oxygen Flow technique allows its users to clear obstructed airways, to perform less extensive CPR, and to give cells the oxygen they crave. After focusing chakra into the hands, the user will place both over the target's chest (through the back works as well). By allowing the chakra to be channeled throughout the lungs and up through the air ways, any unseen, solid or liquid obstructions will be cleared from these passages and ejected through the mouth, allowing the patient to breathe more easily. Additionally, the hands can be placed over the heart to help oxygenate the body's cells. In this instance, users must be much more careful, as over-oxygenating cells can cause more harm than good. This technique takes the entirety of one post to perform. *Massage Technique D-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: 3 Iijutsu This soothing technique requires the user to have a rather firm grasp on the human body's muscular system. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will begin to channel it into muscles, tendons and ligaments that are overworked and sore. The chakra helps to ensure that the proper pressure is achieved in addition to helping the affected muscles to loosen up. Given the nature of this technique, it is not often used on the field, but rather in comfort in order to attain the best results. This technique can last as long as the user has chakra. *Basic Antidote Technique C-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: User's averaged Wit and Control stats must be 5 or above A useful, but particularly taxing technique, the Antidote Technique is performed on poisoned patients. After focusing chakra into his/her hands, the user will make a small incision (with a knife, scalpel, etc.) on the patient and then place his/her hands over the new wound. As this chakra is channeled into the body, it extracts the poison out of it and into the user's palm. After one (1) post of the extraction process, the user will remove his/her hand, and place it over a container of some sort (anything that can bear liquid). From here, the liquid poison will be ejected from the hand along with the remaining chakra that was used to extract it. As this chakra interacts with the poison over the course of a second post, its molecules will be rearranged to form the antidote for the poison in question. This works only on C-Rank or lower liquid poisons that enter the body and has no effect on airborne poisons. The antidote takes a total of three (3) posts to fully rid the body of the poison. *Imperfect Cure C-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: Basic Antidote Technique Formulated to work in conjunction with the Basic Antidote Technique, Imperfect Cure extends upon the antidote created in the aforementioned technique. Once the antidote has been concocted following the description of the Basic Antidote Technique, the user will begin to channel additional chakra throughout the antidote to make it especially potent. This increased potency not only rids the body of the C-Rank or lower liquid poison that was in the body over the (3) posts it takes to work, but also induces an immunity in the patient which lasts for seven (7) posts. Chiton Chiton • Blood Transfusion: Lesser
D-Rank Iijutsu Prerquisite: 5 Iijutsu After forming the needed hand seals Avisa will cut open his palm(s) and flow his blood out of his body into the wound of the target. This results in a -1 to Avisa's stamina, but will give the target of the jutsu a +1 to their stamina for the remainder of the thread. Note that this increase is in physical stamina only, and does not increase chakra amount. Chiton • Blood Packing: Lesser D-Ranked Ninjutsu After forming the needed seals [user] will generate excess blood in their body. This extra blood reduces the impact of physical attacks on [user], and as such gives them +1 stamina. This extra stamina lasts for two posts, but for the next four posts after this jutsu ends [user] will suffer -2 stamina. This jutsu, and any of it's forms, are unable to be used to counter act the reduction in stamina when the jutsu wares off. Chiton • Bloody Knuckles D-Ranked Ninjutsu After forming the needed hand seals [user] will gather Chiton chakra in between their knuckles and form marble sized balls of hardened blood. While this jutsu will let [user]'s punches do more damage to whoever they hit, it will also cause them pain as the balls of blood impact directly on their bones. This jutsu will last for two posts before needing to be recast. Chiton • Blood Packing C-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: Chiton • Blood Packing: Lesser After forming the needed seals [user] will generate excess blood in their body. This extra blood reduces the impact of physical attacks on [user], and as such gives them +2 stamina. This extra stamina lasts for four posts, but for the next eight posts after this jutsu ends [user] will suffer -4 stamina. This jutsu, and any of it's forms, are unable to be used to counter act the reduction in stamina when the jutsu wares off. Chiton • Bloody Claws C-Ranked Ninjutsu After forming the needed seals [user] will gather their Chiton chakra into the tips of their fingers and harden it into six inch spikes that they push out the tips of their fingers. This is a very painful jutsu to use, but it gives [user] a potentially deadly weapon when it comes to hand to hand combat. Chiton • Blood Transfusion C-Ranked Iijutsu Prerequisite: Chiton • Blood Transfusion: Lesser, 6 Iijutsu After forming the needed hand seals Avisa will cut open his palm(s) and flow his blood out of his body into the wound of the target. This results in a -2 to Avisa's stamina, but will give the target of the jutsu a +2 to their stamina for the remainder of the thread. Note that this increase is in physical stamina only, and does not increase chakra amount. Chiton • Blood Packing: Greater B-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: Chiton • Blood Packing After forming the needed seals [user] will generate excess blood in their body. This extra blood reduces the impact of physical attacks on [user], and as such gives them +3 stamina. This extra stamina lasts for six posts, but for the next twelve posts after this jutsu ends [user] will suffer -6 stamina. This jutsu, and any of it's forms, are unable to be used to counter act the reduction in stamina when the jutsu wares off. Chiton • Bloody Sword B-Ranked Ninjutsu After forming the needed seals [user] will gather their Chiton chakra into their forearm and harden it. [User] will then push this chakra out of their forearm, and as they do so they will continue to harden and sharpen it until they have created a three foot blade of blood. This blade created from blood is just as durable as any normal steel sword, and lasts for six posts before it will shatter. |
