Pierce could have played Bond in 1987, and should have made another in 2004.

Which would you have preferred: a Brosnan Bond in 1987 or 2004?

I can't decide which. If he did TLD, he would've done 6. If he did a non-reboot Bond 21 in 2004 with a perfect script and storyline, that would clear things up, and Pierce would be spared from the bashings.

If Pierce had done The Living Daylights then he may have only done two because there was a big gap after Licence To Kill. He may have been able to come back after the gap for Goldeneye, but he may have become a bigger star if he played Bond in the 80's and not been able to come back in the 90's. I think I'd have preferred anothet Pierce Bond in 2004 with some competent producers!

Maybe Pierce could have taken over for A View To A Kill.

But Pierce greatly desire to do Bond, and fans would be upset if he left after LTK.

Hard choice, I also Loved T Dalton as Bond. But think Pierce had the perfect Mix of Humor and action for the part, Unlike some " He got Bond" and understood what it was all about. One example to me at least is.
The gadgets should be fun, In TND operating the car from the backseat Bond is smiling as he uses some of Q's niffty toys, Just as Connery can be seen smiling using the gadgets in the DB5 in Goldfinger.
as opposed to the sour faced incarnation we have at the moment. I don't think there would of been as long a gap between LTK & Goldeneye if Pierce had got the Gig in 87.

Welcome Thunders!

Cubby Broccoli would have loved Pierce Brosnan and I don't think he would have mothballed the series for four years if he had Pierce signed up as a very successful Bond.

1987 would have been better. On the down side there would be no Dalton and Pierce would only have two movies.
