Each month we publish a new gallery of reader-submitted photos. If you'd like your photos to be considered for our online gallery or printed magazine's Reader Gallery, you can submit them digitally at http://contribute.kalmbach.com (or mail them to 21027 Crossroads Circle, P.O. Box 1612, Waukesha, WI 53187). Please be sure to include the following information about your models within the "comments" box: manufacturer, model, scale, modifications, paint used, and your reason for choosing the model. |

I've been fortunate enough to have a couple of my models published in FSM and on their website. A couple of tips: 1. Make sure the background is a neutral color that doesn't clash with your model. I prefere white or light blue. 2. If your camera supports, use the RAW setting. If not, use the highest-quality JPEG or TIFF. Only RAW, JPEG, and TIFF file formats are accepted. 3. Don't correct your photos to modify the color, sharpness, size, cropping, or color mode. They'll take care of that. 4. They recommend using a gray card in the photo. I've never done this, but they claim it helps them reproduce the image with thegreatest color accuracy possible. 5. Submit image files online at www.contribute.kalmbach.com. They also accept submissions sent to us on a CD or on a DVD. 6. If they select your photo, you should get a copy of the magazine in the mail along with a check. The price they pay is based upon the size they print. For example, a 3x3 photo is $35. 7. Don't be surprised if it takes months (or even years) for them to print your pictures. They get a ton of submissions every month. Try sending them something different (Sci-Fi, Space, Monster/Horror, etc) Edited by Veedubb67, Apr 21 2011, 02:06 PM.
