Lords:    Kholek Suneater    Again we all know how much I love Kholek and what he brings to the table for me in last night's game I ended up squaring off against a Dark Elf death star. In one turn Kholek killed the cauldron of blood and the death hag then thunderstomped the unit killing five more witch elves. God I love    Kholek    Heroes: Chaos Sorcerer w/ disk of tzeetnch, lvl. 2, lore of metal, mark of tzeentch, Chaos familiar, and armor of destiny. I really like this build because of the versatility the lore of metal brings to the table for me. Last nights success with kholek was in part because I hit myself with a lightning bolt and became frenzied but then this guy casted enchanted blades off on Kholek and that pretty much sealed the deal. I also love with the disk how he can zip around for searing doom and final trans blasts. Exalted Hero w/ great weapon, mark of tzeentch, barded daemonic mount, soul feeder, third eye, and talisman of preservation. I took the bsb off of this guy because as it stands I always find this guy running to far outside the normal battle line because he is catching cannon balls and bolt thrower shots for Kholek. Other than that though of course the hortense build is as amazing as ever. Exalted Hero w/ bsb, halberd, mark of slaanesh, steed of slaanesh, scaled skin, dawnstone, dragon helm, the other tricksters shard This is the my new bsb build that I am so eager to try. With a 1+ rerollable and 2++ to fire, hellaciously fast, and highly maneuverable I believe this guy will cause my opponents to groan in frustration. He will be housed in a small bus of hell striders and will also help them pack the punch on so that they actually can get their buff increases for killing things. Core: Chariot w/ mark of nurgle This will of course be a support piece that will provide a little extra punch to a combat that I need it to help out in. 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard and poison These guys as everyone knows will be redirectors, war machine hunters, and dead drops to help insure that I get the matchups that I would like to have. 23x Warriors w/ FC, shields, mark of tzeentch, and gleaming penant My warriors here will help to serve as an anvil as well of course as filling out my core. They have the gleaming pennant on them because they may not always be in the bsb's range. Special: Chaos Warshrine w/ mark of tzeentch I love the bound spell of this thing due to how terrified of it my opponent is, it always draws dispel dice and if something were to happen to my wizard than I can always start six dicing this. Also, with the new bsb kit and the hell strider unit champ I have some fantastic targets for the spell to hopefully create a daemon prince. Otherwise any of the buffs will be nice. 10 x Hell Striders w/ FC, and Hell scourges This unit is very simple. House and protect the bsb, run down war machines and chaff, and after getting a little bit stronger from the innate buffs that they themselves receive combo charge and help shatter the opposing lines. Also, this gives me another banner for blood and glory, Rare: Mutalith Vortex Beast Again as discussed previously I love this guys bound spell and he always does well for me as a support piece in my army. 4x Skull Crushers w/ Musician, Standard, banner of swiftness and Ensorcelled Weapons This is another banner in a rock hard unit with a banner for blood and glory that can get across the board and seriously put some hurt on my opponents. I can keep going on about their abilities but I believe that pretty much everyone on this site knows what Skull Crushers are capable of so I am not going to waste anyone's time typing it all up again. So there you have it 3000 out of 3000 exactly with some major differences in the list. It should be much better at facing off in Blood and Glory scenarios and has 12 drops still so I have a pretty good shot in the deployment phase to get the matchups that I want. I can't wait to play this list in our upcoming game. If anyone has any thoughts or questions about anything in the list please let me know. Hope everyone has a good day, I can't wait to hear what you guys have for me and I hope that we all continue to keep slaughtering everything that is not WARRIORS OF CHAOS   |

Nice list! Unique concept! I do have a few questions / suggestions however. 1) Whats the Point of the Tzeentch Hero? You have Kholek. IMO you don't need the Tzeentch hero in your list because he's not doing anything for you. What I would suggest is dropping him for another lvl 2 caster, using whatever lore you want, and maybe a scroll. Hell, give him the Charmed Shield, Dispell scroll, and Opal Amult and leave him behind your warrior brick if you want. Having the 2nd caster will be very helpful and should add a bit more magic defense to this list, which seems to be its only weakness. 2) FIVE units of Warhounds?!? I see what you're doing with them but FIVE Units of them?! I think you could EASILY make due with 2 Units of Warhounds and throw in a 2nd Chariot. Gives your army a little more punch and it stops you from having 205 points in Chaff, which is a total waste. 2-3 units of Warhounds should be plenty. Getting the match ups you want shouldn't be a problem in this army, even with fewer deployments, because everything is so fast and versatile you should be ok. 3) The Warshrine. It is cool, but its only got a 12" range for its spell which means by turn 2 the Disc Rider, the BSB, the Strider UC, and possibly the Tzeentch Hero will be far out of range, leaving you with the Warrior UC to target.... thats it. Kholek can't be targeted by it and nothing else is as slow as it is for you to help it out. I would suggest dropping it (Mutalith is more than enough to pull Dispell dice and has a MUCH more usefull Bound spell) and maybe using the points for a Gorebeast Chariot? Having a T6 mini-monster on the table would fit your theme AND give you some extra "UUMPH" to this pretty cool army. Other than that I have no complaints. :) I love you're using DA BEAST, and enjoying it. :) I'm also happy to see Kholek on the table! I hope my suggestions help but feel free to disreguard them as you see fit. :) In the end, its how much fun you have with your list that counts! :D |

Thanks buddy for your suggestions I really appreciate you taking the time to make them and to comment on your suggestions. 1. The hortense hero is there to make sure that no cannon ball or bolt thrower fire can take Kholek's precious wounds from him, he also is used to combo charge with Kholek so that Kholek can not be challenged out of combat. Last night's game was a perfect example, when they combo charged the witch star, my opponent revealed that he had the assassin with the egg and issued a challenge which I was able to accept with the hortense character keeping Kholek where I wanted him to be squishing the cauldron and bsb beneath his claws. lolol, so this more than anything else I may have to keep because he helps me insure that Kholek is fighting what I want him to. 2. I like the thought of cutting the hounds units down so that I could get in one more chariot, though I really like them because they help me lock down the board in the vanguard stage making it much more difficult for them to take a tactical field advantage over me. However, I have had a chain panic happen with the hounds that was a big pain in my ass, so I will definitely try to retinker the list to drop out a couple of the hounds and grab another chariot. 3. I had not considered how slow the shrine was in comparison to the rest of my army and so I can definitely see your point here. I will certainly try to retinker a gorebeast chariot in and get rid of the warshrine. You are right a t6 chariot is a nasty thing and with all of the damage output my army has this will only help increase it to over the top proportions. Thanks buddy I will retinker and post back the newly redesigned list here in just a second. I loved your advice and am now looking even more forward to playing the next game. |

Ok, so after reworking the list with Tremendous' input (thanks again buddy for the valued info and perspective), I have reworked the list to look like this: Lords:    Kholek Suneater    Again we all know how much I love Kholek and what he brings to the table for me in last night's game I ended up squaring off against a Dark Elf death star. Core: Chariot w/ mark of nurgle Chariot w/ mark of khorne These will be great mini hammers to help punch holes in the enemy lines where I can or to combo charge them along with some of the other hammers to devastate a unit that they impact. 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard 5x Chaos Warhounds w/ vanguard and poison These guys as everyone knows will be redirectors, war machine hunters, and dead drops to help insure that I get the matchups that I would like to have. 23x Warriors w/ FC, shields, mark of tzeentch, and gleaming penant My warriors here will help to serve as an anvil as well of course as filling out my core. They have the gleaming pennant on them because they may not always be in the bsb's range. Special: Gorebeast chariot w/ mark of nurgle A little slow but an absolutely devastating single unit that can reek havoc on the enemy unit especially when used in conjunction with some of my other hammers, combine that with t6 and mark of nurgle and you get a nice little mini monster. I think this will definitely add a nice punch to my combat lines especially considering how slow the warshrine is and how small its buff spell's range is. So there we go the newest list is complete though I would love to hear others' thoughts on it and how you all think it will do. Thanks again to Tremendous for the valuable input and I can't wait to put this list into action. We are still at 10 drops and this time they are much more valuable drops instead of 5 of them being chaff. Also, with the warshrine gone the gorebeast will add a whole other level of hammer to my units especially if I can work a combo charge with it and the other two chariots. Anyways thanks everyone for the read and I hope to see more comments and thoughts on the list so that I can restructure it to make it as dangerous as possible. |

Don't get me wrong I like throgg a lot and I like trolls alot but after being soured on really low initiative things thanks to playing ogres for so long I find it hard to include them in my list when one single purple sun could wreck so much of my army as to be ridiculous. Also, my hero point total is sitting right at 750 so Throgg is a no go with the current build running the way that it is. I have one unit of hell striders to run with the bsb of slaanesh are you saying that I should add another one?? just checking to make sure, but truthfully I doubt that I will drop the mutalith. I have seen very few bound spells in this game that my opponents so eagerly throw dispel dice at because they are absolutely terrified that I am going to roll a six, cripple a unit, and get a spawn from them in the process. I know a bunch of people really dislike the mutalith but I have to say that I am with Tremendous on this one and I absolutely love the BEAST. Though I don't like anything in WHFB more than KHOLEK!!! He is simply one of the most awesome characters I have ever seen in a game unless they decide to make my dreams come true and release rules for Krakanrok the Black. |

Speaking of Krakanrok if anyone ever wanted to know what he would look like or the size check this out. This is by far one of the coolest models that I have seen. God I wish that they would make rules and a real kit out for him.          |

I like the mutilith but I have rarely seen it do anything with that spell its a power level 5 or something you almost have to bring a power stone to make it work and a sorcerer with the skull of Katam to get it going it actually does better in close combat than anything. But you maybe in a meta where there are alot of evles if that's the case the lore of tzeentch is not good every time they get a spell off they increase their ward. And every time you get a spell of you might give them a regen |

His spell I usually use to draw dispel dice because people are concerned with what it could do potentially. Most every opponent I have played stops it as soon as I cast it because they are afraid of it. I do like him as a supporting combatant though especially since he can cast his spell while he's in combat. I do not usually use the lore of tzeentch unless it is on a high level caster, because the spells are situational so I like to have the full arsenal, I don't really worry about the warpflame rule though when I run that kind of list because u can structure it to a point where regen isn't really that harmful, but in this list I would not take it because I only have a lvl 2 that's why he's got metal. Thanks for all the advice though and for the read it is much appreciated. |

A very interesting list idea, glad to see the inclusion of the Gorebeast. I personally like two of them running together, they can absolutely lock down bigger units or shield valuable targets (like Kholek). |
